Question about surrendering not being a "completed trial"

Surrender Option

Under specific scenarios, it will be possible to Surrender during a trial and retain some progress including:

  • Bloodpoints
  • Match XP
  • Challenge progress
  • Emblem scores

Surrendering in the following conditions does not incur a Disconnection Penalty, but will not count as a completed trial and still causes item/addon loss:

Killer:

  • When all remaining Survivors are bots
  • When no generator has been completed within the last 10 minutes

Survivor:

  • When all other remaining Survivors are bots
  • When all Survivors are in the Dying State

My question is, what exactly does it mean that it doesn't count as a completed trial? You get emblem points, you get bloodpoints, challenge progress. What exactly is in "completed" trial that is separate from those?

    Completed as in people escaped or you got all hooks/mori. The uncompleted trial is like everything is cut short, still counts as survivors dead but probly not sacrificed or escaped. and less points than the full round going through

    You didn't die or escape. Surrendering i assume just ends the match for both remaining players or replaces you with a bot as a survivor. This machanic is almost never going to come into play though, in all 4 scenarios

    It still counts as killing all 4 players for adept achievements so any surrender seems to count as a killer win
