Erm… I have actually trouble understanding you…
-
- A but lag/latency… so what? You messed up the juke.
- That's not a "hitbox/lunge" problem, that is an issue with the locker.
So I can't see anything confirming your complain.
I think the hitboxes are messed up… as a killer I have way to many swings that should have been hits, but did not get detected properly. -

So Wolf74, this conversation is about thanatophobia and No Mither, no buff of this perk, that's all.Are you kidding me? If NM does not trigger Thana, that would be a BUFF to NM and a NERF to Thana.
"End of story" -
@Billou said:
Wolf74 > You're ignoring the problem like Star99er said. Do you even play DbD for saying that? Nobody play No mither, you should know that as a killer or a survivor. There are some people, but they know the cost. You have four perks, you can use better perk than that and more usefull because No Mither is more a pain in the ass of the survivor than a good perk who can save your ass. Don't want to make noise? Use Iron Will. Want to recover from a dying state? Use unbreakable. Plus: killer knows you can fully recover from a dying state soooo they're not gonna let you do that. So wasted again. This perk is one of a most useless perks, so yeah, at least thanatophobia shouldn't count as a bleeding state.
(Spoiler: Not all survivors are toxic or prick. Like all killers. Wow, unexpected right?!)Are you kidding me? Try your made up accusations on other guys.
There are a lot of crappy perks that would need some buffs, but every entitled survivor is asking for No Mither to get a buff and ignoring the impact it would have on the killers abilities and powers (like one hit downs).
And you call ME ignorant?
A bit deal of NM is basically getting benefits for a drawback that on the other hand makes several killer powers useless.
That something that you guys are completely ignoring, but hey, that's a killer issue, right?
And who cares about killer issues? Only crybaby killer mains, right? -
So can you please explain me WHY do you want to give up a health state in the first place?
(Spoiler: Survivor are to powerful and to overconfident.)
-
Because there is no problem.
You pick No Mither and get a bonus and a drawback, along some synergies with other perks.
You can choose if you like that or not.
No need for further buffs, because if it would bring enough benefits to become meta, it would diminish any one hit ability including MYC, etc.
In terms of gamebalance all killer had some trade offs for their abilities when they had been designed and NM would make some powers unneeded, but the killer had "paid" for them already.
NM needs to stay a rare niche perk and never should become popular or meta. -
This gets asked soooo often.. i really don't know why this isn't the case from the get go, but Devs keep ignoring this simple QoL change.
-
Simple fix, do not run No Mither!
Survivor are so boosted at the moment that they gladly give up an entire health state.
And Thanatophobia is such a really bad perk, it is hardly worth mentioning.
If you feel so overconfident that you think picking NM (a challenge perk) is a good idea, you better deal with the consequences. -
Why Thana shoud be "stronger" (in term of numbers)?
Because survivor do not stay injured for long.
Anybody and their mother is running Self Care and you can't keep more than one injured for a significant amount of time. And Dying Light sucks balls, because 4 gens will already be done, before it will even show ANY effect.

The developers keep releasing patches that keep nerfing survivors into the ground. Killers keep complaining and just because they are bad they get patches to make it easier and easier to play. Please tell me when did these killersided patches came out?
In 2 years I can remember exactly TWO killersided patches and one of them is about to get reversed halfway.
The other one was the introduction of gen regression.
Literally EVERY OTHER patch the killer got the short end of the stick.
So stop spreading these lies.
Either you are one eye blind or you are really that bad at the game that you believe yourself.
Feel free to re-read the patchnotes from the last 2 years and pinpoint me to the "survivor nerfed to the ground" stuff. -
Thanatophobia will be a trash perk as long as Self Care doesn't get a proper balancing.

I think it is too easy to exit the Dream World.I agree, but your suggestion would go a bit far. I just wanted to focus on the things that are rather easy to fix and are already abused by survivor.
Healing to avoid pick up.
Awake bodyshielding
Finishing cleansing during transition.
Keep doing gens or self heal while transitioning to break out of the transition without ever been in the dreamworld. -

Why are all the Killer "recommended code of conduct rules" playing sub-optimally, while most of the Survivor ones are "don't be an #########"?Because killer should give extra chances to survivor on top of their extra chances.

Find the biggest problem with Freddy is the transition time from being awake to sleep. Normally I use the blocks to medicate that problem. That is pretty narrow sighted.
There are some so terribly obvious issues with him that are exploitable.
1. Freddy needs to be able to pick up victims while they get healed.
2. Awake survivor should be excluded from hit detection (no more bodyshielding from awake survivor)
3. His dreampower should be an interrupt, so that survivor lose their progress on cleansing or unhooking when hit. -

If so which side do you feel is more op? I personally feel it's balanced enough if you are good at mind games when playing killer just because of the op combinations you can get on both sides. Each side has useless perks and each side has some that everyone on the opposite side hates.I play both sides solo, but I play way more killer (I' a "killermain" ^^ )
Survivor are to powerful.
I am a mediocre survivor, playing solo in low to mid ranks and I still survive more often than not.
Now imagine good survivor with high rank teammates and possible SWF voice com.
That's what I meet every day, when I play killer.
Overconfident, cocky survivor and they play that way, because they know they get away with it. -

I do have the perfect idea to help with gen rushing, and its in the perk DYING LIGHT
My idea for dying light is
After hooking your obsession, survivors suffer an action speed penalty, until 2/2/3 generators have been repairedBy the time you hook your first victim 3 gens will be done and you have a 1 in 4 chance that the first guy you find is actually your obsession.
Switching targets in case you find the obsession mid chase is even less beneficial in time management.
So what's the point of Dying Light anyway? -
And the "more mist" offerings for killer and "survivor start seperated" since this is basically helping them instead of me.

Speed Limiter and Padded Jaws

As a Pig main, games are usually 5 minutes long if the survivors are extremely competitive but otherwise, your looking at 10 to 20 minutes games. A lot of killer's say "2 minute" games but even myself with 600 hours haven't had a game where all generators are powered on in 2 minutes.
All 4 survivor jump on different gens asap (5-10 sec)
Only one survivor can get chased at a time, everyone else stick to his gen.
60-80 seconds later 3 gens should be done and the first victim hooked.
Now either a) killer is camping and the remaining gens will be done in another 60-80 sec or b) killer is not camping -> free unhook and heal -> repeat the above.
= 120 - 160 seconds to do all gen
This leaves another 1- 2 minutes to open the gates and you are still way under 5 min. -

HookedonDemand said:The whole gen rushing thing confuses me. Isn't finishing the gens literally the only thing survivors need to do to escape ? Why would they wait, to take in the scenery ? It's like complaining that the killer starts killing right away...

That's how I feel about it. The point is to escape and get out. Why waste time with anything else. I cleanse totems for the potential to kill noed and I'll unhook others and go right back to a gen. Gen rush is inevitable and killers will just have to deal with it just as survivors have to deal with the inevitable camping killer or tunneling killer along with teams that don't help when you're hooked and you die on first hook.
Did you bother reading anything in this thread before posting?

The generator time was dropped when face camping was a thing which they also increased hook times as a way to counter it i think they should be rolled back since you know face camping isnt possible now.Gotta love how crybaby killer mains come with their "face camping is not possible" as a reason to buff killers as if them not blocking the hook means that camping is fine ... especially leatherface, right? Those people obviously don't care at all about the survivor side.
Also , I think it was dropped because "camping" IS a thing , not "facecamping" or "was"...
Maybe we say this because "camping is fine"?
It is intended gameplay… and it isn't even effective unless the survivor make it effective. -

would be nice if a mod could join this and clarify if this is even a bannable thing. tru3talent got "only" bodyblocked for like 20 seconds and didnt get unhooked, i dont think u can ban someone for that. or most of the community needs to get banned. They announced it in advance, dude.
They followed him to do that #########.
And the interrupted unhooking is what they called "massage" to mock someone.
All of that only because they are salty survivor who made crap up about getting camped and tunneled in the previous match.
That's a pretty typical example of the survivor mains in this community. Calling everything camping or tunneling, just because they lost. -
That is "griefing". This is not simply "let someone die.
They even announced it before the match even started that they intend to sandbag and "massage" him. -
PS: Don't get me wrong, Freddy is in desperate need of some buffs, but not like that.
-
The other streamer in the Truetalent video are talking about intentionally GRIEFING the other survivor (True) who is not in their SWF team just because they lost against him as killer the match before.
How much more proof for GRIEFING is needed to get banned? -
@HookedonDemand said:

"Gen rush" is the term for the missmatch in time it takes to complete survivor objectives versus killer objectives.
A decent team that knows how to play, will spread out and all jump different gens.
With a single hit taking ~30-40 seconds of chasing plus carrying the victim to the hook, the killer needs AT LEAST 70-90 seconds for the first hook (ofc unless the survivor play stupid).
With gens taking 80 seconds -not including great checks, toolboxes or perks- 3 gens will be done when the killer gets his first hook.
So the survivor did 3/6 of their objectives (5 gens + 1 door), while the killer did…
depends on what you consider a "win" for the killer.
4 k would need 12 objectives done (without camping).
2 k would need 6 to 10 hooks, depending on how much the hooking is spread among the team.
And all this does not consider DS, pallet stuns during pick up or flashlightsaves and bodyblocks or insta heals.
So under the best circumstances the killer (the SINGLE player) has done 1/6 of his objective to win, while the survivor (the TEAM player) have done 3/6 of their objectives.
Do you see the problem now?? -
@MojoTheFabulous said:
It's being changed because it feels ######### when you get downed before you're given control of your character. And it will feel ######### to the killer getting robbed of his rightful sacrifice, when his hit passes through the victim for no logical reason other than survivors need to be handfed again.
-
Not a good idea.
If they follow me to the hook and insta unhook, fine. I can put 2 people asleep immediately and resume chasing the unhooked victim.
Basically this survivor strategy is hurting them more than me. It's almost farming that poor hooked guy. -
Please, tell me -because you seem to try to avoid the answer- how do you shock the trapped victim for "max devious points"?
And how does that sort of gameplay benefit the killer at all?
The killer is on a tight time schedule and I do not see how wasting time with a bodyblocked victim should be beneficial for the killer.
But I am sure you can explain it to me, right?Losing the collision box would be a HUGE nerf, because it makes juking so much easier. No chance to use any legal bodyblocking tactics, like denying windows or pallets.
My guess, you don't want to argue with me, because … you have no arguments.
-
lol
A "Doctor main" but not "killer main"... so you play low rank killer and come to the forum to ask for nerfs for the killer you played?
Sounds legit.^^Tell me again, how do you bodyblock a survivor and use the shock on him at the same time?
If you waste your time trapping a survivor, the rest of the team should have a basically a free escape.
The killer is basically putting himself in a bad spot. -
This is just downright wrong. The shock can't hit point blank, so he would need to rely on his aura.
And honestly, I do not believe you are a Doctor main, not even a killer main.

As example: You play 20 Rounds in a row because you have actually time for it and win only one game, your ranking was on 15 and got lowered back to 20.Nothing good, you tried your best, rescued survivors, played the saving person over all of those rounds.
Takes the fun out of it and should be changed and get noticed by the dev Team, because its their game and its dying at a crazy rate by now.
To buff the killers in to an extreme zone was unecessary and made the survival against those nearly impossible, which is playing in to the ratings. And here we go again… people ask to balance the game -especially the killer- around the low ranks.
Garbage noobs with no clue, die to mediocre killer and claim that there had been "extreme buffs to killer".
At the same time, high ranks survivor bully the crap out of every killer that isn't Nurse or Billy.Gamebalance in EVERY OTHER game is from the top ranks downwards, not from the low ranks up.

Since IG got nerfed it is pretty difficult to bring anybody to the basement and the perk should focus on the basement and not get changed to affect every hook.
But just affecting the sacrifice time doesn't justify the extra effort to bring the victim there.
The basement is intended to be a dangerous place and the killers den, so I think my suggestion is pretty close to how it should be.
For me it is just a buff to a perk that is pretty useless atm.
And since it is very situational and limit to a very specific place, I do not see it overly powerful.that's why you should run agility i saw a video it said combined it gives you a total of 72 meters of distance plus the struggle difficulty and the time increase plus speed boost yea especially if you want to run a basement build the 2 also counter DS well at least of what i have noticed anyways.
IG is weaker than Agi , but running BOTH is for sure a waste of perkslots.

The devs could always add a few invincibility frames or a mini sprint burst. I don't think it would be that hard to add something so the survivor isn't downed immediately after they unhook themselves.
And tell me WHY do you think the survivor deserve this?
Or have any right to ask for this? -
@Skarkio said:
Let's look this from a killer perspective:
First I had to find you, then chase you and hit you once (with pallets windows SB lithe and whatnot in between), then i had to reach to you again and whack you a second time (with pallets windows Dead hard and whatnot in between), only then I have the opportunity to hang you as a reward for all that hard work(flashligh saves anyone?), praying to the dark gods that you don't have DS so I dont have to chase you a third time... and I have to do that, in a average situation, other 2 times to actually sacrifice you out of the effin' match! Now only have to do the same to the other 3 survivors
And you and other entitled survivors(its a figurative speech, not actually refeering specifically to you)want a perk to wiggling out faster and and so deny me my hard earned reward that is hooking you? How many safenets a survivor need? One per every perk equipped? I have to chase you 4 times (multiplied x3) to actually have the opportunity to hook you?
+1 this
-
@BigBadPiggy said:
It's 100% unfair that the survivor doesn't get a chance at surviving when they are the last one. There have been so many times when 3 survivors die or dc leaving the 1 survivor that I haven't even hooked yet. I down them, hook them, I expect for them to get off of the hook... but they die instantly.Survivors should ALWAYS have the chance to attempt escape, no matter how many survivors are left.
Now don't even complain about "But if they don't struggle at all, that'll make me a victim of a hostage situation." GROW UP. Go make a Hot-Pocket or something, you're not a victim.
What a crappy BS idea… why should you waste everybodies time?
If you are the last, the killer can wait beside the hook anyway, so what is the purpose in this? And the calling that survivor should ALWAYS have a chance, shows you biased entitlement.
-
Survivor already have to many notifications.
Asking for even more is not "neat" but outrageously greedy af!
This is nothing about QoL, if you are to bad to remember what is running, you do not to know it anyway.
It's already sad enough that you get exposed icons for the oblivious idiots playing survivor. -

Since hex totems are destroyed at the beginning of every match it seems like...should there at least be skill checks to destroying them? No. Big NONO.

Ok, better play the game some more and learn about it.
Maybe even start playing Myers"I played as Myers but haven't got him far yet as I am a survivor main and enjoy them more but Despite he is a low level I always managed to kill all 4 survivors with him without even perks like Hex Ruin or overcharged compared to my level 50 wraith and I am around Rank 15-10 as killer since I don't play it more so I suppose a Level 50 Myers would be So op and the bloodweb would have so many Ebony momento mori's .. Judith's tombstone etc as My wraith gets so many Moris in bloodweb when he is not even P1.
"And you mention Devour Hope, which is another really garbage perk that hardly ever show any effect.
Moris should have gotten more common after they got nerfed so hard…"It does work and my point is even if the percentage of Mori got reduced a little .. there are always other ways to have mori .. but Devour hope is fine as killer worked for it unlike These offerings and Add-ons that hand a free kill to killer on a plate .
All in all I don't know what the percentage is right now but I always seem to get a Mori every 3-5 Bloodweb Refreshes .
You gotta be kidding me...
Let me take a wild guess… you are so much of a "survivor main" that you never left the noob bashing ranks with your "I 4k every match"-Myers, right? -
Boil Over is like Adrenaline, it won't work all the time, but if it works, it saves your sorry behind.
If it would make hooking victims way to difficult, you would see more slugging and people would start complaining about getting slugged,Pick your poison.

So story time incoming.I was playing as a hag and managed to get 5 tokens on Devour hope. After I killed 2 survivors and 3 gens were left I managed to find a Feng and nodded at her that I'm coming for her. But she just stood there and pointed at me to follow her. I got interested in what she wanted so I didn't kill her right away and followed.
She led me to the hatch and pointed at it and started nodding. I understoond that she'll sell out the last survivor (Claudette) for the hatch to me. So I kept following and eventually she led me to her so I ate her and gave Feng the hatch. For me it was quite funny which is why I did it but as you might know Claudette was very unpleasent about it and reported Feng for it.So any mods out there is it okay to sometimes sell out teammates for our own survival if that is our best bet to survive or we should never do it even if it happens in like 1 out of 100 games ?
This should not be bannable. It was kinda smart by the survivor.
If you get chased by a tiger, you dont have to be faster than the tiger… just faster than the other guy.^^ -

like, all 3 perks of her are sooo good. not a single "meh" or "okay" perk, they are all "good" and "great".I still think those perks are overrated.
spirits fury is a great perk against loops
hex: hounted grounds is a grerat perk in order to protect your real totem (e.g. ruin)
rancor is pretty much the perk which kills noed. it gives you a oneshot and insta mori on one person (tbh, noed doesnt even activate most of the time)Spirit Fury is very situational to trigger and you most likely need a 2nd perk to use it efficiently.
Hounted Ground is very situational because if it triggers while you aren't chasing anyone, you won't get any benefit from the exposed effect when all go full stealthmode for the small time window it is activ.
Rancor sounds rather decent, but the effect might be unrelevant in case you killed your obsession already. As a aura detection perk it is decent, basically an improved Bitter Murmur.
But that's about it.
2 perks that give you a slight chance to catch survivor off guard and most likely only if you pair it with specific other perks.
I don't get all the hype about it.
Remember when Fire Up came out and all had been hyped up? And guess what? The perk is trash. -

I run Iron Will, Sprint Burst and Self Care but i cant decide what my 4th slot should be. Adrenaline is situational and can basically be a dead perk if you die early, but it has always gotten me out of nasty situations. It also wakes you up when against a freddy and pairs well with my sprint burst since it ignores exhaustion. Plus while it may be situational the 5 second sprint burst is always nice no matter what im doing. And then theres Urban Evasion I do and dont like how it basically removes the need to walk and how im always gonna have another finger on a designated crouch button. I've gotten used to walking around something to not get seen rather than use this perk. But it does open even more ways to hide like as i said before but with smaller props, it also pairs well with my iron will and really helps out against nurses and it also makes fighting hag a piece of cake. You already summed up the pro and cons pretty well.
It's either a perk that will always be slightly useful or one perk that could save your behind every couple of matches. From a killer main point of view, I dislike Adr more.
