Welcome to the small but loyal Twins group!!! We have sprite and... and that's about it lol :)!
:) thanks! Is there some kind of cult I can join? Lol

He feels better to play, but he is certainly not any stronger. He's extremely weak in most situations.
-
I just got them last week and am having a good time with them. I don't do tje whole camp and slug thing most people do though.
-
Easy coast USA, red ranks.
Hardly ever see a camping bubba. Maybe like 1 out of 50 games.

Hell. As many games as I've played. I still don't remember all the maps and still have no clue where survivors spawn on maps in relation to me. I usually just check the gen that's farthest and leftest to me
A good rule of thumb is they generally spawn the furthest away from you in a cone like area so if you head that direction and then start at the furthest left or right and head towards the center of the cone you will likely find someone pretty quick.
I believe Raging Ryuga made a video on this a few years ago if you want a visual aide on youtube.
Now obviously there's times where you spawn directly in the center of the map (or very close to the center) so it's a bit harder to judge where the furthest area is to you but it takes practice.
-
Whispers is great for newer killers during the early game. But once you get knowledge of likely places survivors spawn and it becomes useless. It's also not very good during mid game because you're already in chases and patrolong gens survivors are near.

everyone seems to not want to talk about the amount of dead ends that result in your death if you end up there with the killer. Interesting.
It's because it almost never happens and when it does it happens to survivors who don't know the new layout yet.

Ok...
My mind is spinning here.
Since Gideon Meat Plant’s rework it’s been a semi frequent topic posted here, killers complaining about the amount of pallets on this map.
And I just don’t get it.
What exactly is bothering many of you with these pallets?!
Yes, there Is a large overall volume of pallets.
Yes, Gideon probably also has the highest amount of “god pallets”/pallets that absolutely HAVE to be kicked/broken in the entire game.
But do you know what else this map has?
- Very few actually safe vaults. Sure the few safe vaults that do exist are extremely safe vaults, but they’re so few.
- Pretty much every structure/loop with these pallets that are being complained about almost always quickly lead chases back to gens. Gens you could/can quickly switch up targets on. If you are allowing yourself to be lead to areas where gens are already finished, that’s on you.
- There are many dead ends in this map if a killer is smart about which breakable walls are left intact.
- This map very quickly becomes a death trap for survivors once many of these pallets are gone, because there are so few loops with good vaults. And most of these pallets get dropped very quickly by survivors.
Since the rework of this map, I’ve had only ONE terrible, terrible match as killer on this map, and that’s only because it coincided with going up against one of the most brutally hardcore teams I’ve gone against in recent memory.
This map is fine. I think many of you are just succumbing to the psychological effect of thinking about the total volume of pallets, rather than being objective about how quickly this map becomes absolutely abysmal for survivors against a killer that keeps a cool head.
It really is the amount of pallets. The amount of ABSOLUTLY SAFE pallets to be specific.
Survivors can pick any direction at any time and be at a loop where you HAVE to break the pallet.
It has nothing to do with over committing to chases. If I can't get a hit on a survivor within about 15-20 seconds, I'll take a pallet instead and move on. This results in A TON of time wasted on this map that is very difficult to make up unless survivors make several mistakes.
-
@BrokenSouI said:
Just do what I do. Get your first hook. Camp it and refuse to play the map. And take whatever the group gives you as far as 1 for 1s on hooks 😁. I will NEVER play that map in its current state againm I have better things to do then have an absurd amount of safe pallets thrown at me
I mean I don't like to camp unless I know for sure someone is near by but after getting the game for the fifth time last night, I understand this mindset lol.

@TheClownIsKing said:
It’s really not that bad.
I’m not trying to condescend you.
I genuinely feel it’s not that bad.
There are so few safe vaults on Gideon, that once many pallets are gone, the map quickly becomes very dangerous for survivors.
You may not be able to mind game many of them, so just force the pallet drop and get rid of them.
That's exactly the problem. All the pallets are so safe there's literally no mind gaming them; you HAVE to break them. And there's soooo many of them.
And while you're forced to break them gens are being completed left and right because smart survivors will all be on different gens.
It feels like you're fighting the map more than the survivors.
-
I forgot that thing existed. Havnt used that since my first 10 hours maybe? I don't believe it does anything nor can you see it's effects.

As a survivor main but a new player I don't notice the number of pallets or know yet how to quickly identify the best ones, etc., so I will readily believe that those with experience, especially with this map, and in particular killers, are valid in their complaints about it. I just really love the map as a map (as opposed to a looping experience) and hate the fact that I hardly ever see it as it is. Coldwind Farm? Autohaven? Oh, you bet! Gideon's warehouse? Pfft. Maybe once every three days.
Haddonfield is considered another bad one? Is it also a looping thing?
Yes, Haddonfield has quite a few loops that are easily abusive by survivors just like the new The Game map. Especially if they equip the balanced landing perk.
-
@miketheratguy said:
I can understand adjusting it but please don't disable it, I never even get the damn map and it's probably my favorite (not for the pallets and looping, I honestly don't like the looping ######### at all. I just love the aesthetic and the general layout).
Yeah, I like it visually, but it is a HUGE pain to actually play. It's probably worse than Haddonfield right now imo

@TruffleTurtle said:
Even with the pallets I don't really hate the map as killer personally. It can be hard sometimes but there r often many dead ends when some of the bottom gens don't get done that the survivors usually block themselves in
If I'm playing an m1 killer, there's usually 1 or 2 survivors who just camp pallets every single chase. And since nearly all of them are god pallets you HAVE to break them or they just loop you forever. It's incredibly boring and frustrating.

and I still have to have teammates named Jizz filled Taco, Cum Guzzler and Cockloaf.
Because dbd doesn't enforce Steam user name rules.
-
It's for memes.
Huntress does not chase without hatchets unless the survivor is body blocking or something.
-
Seems like you have more experience with spirit than the others.
Just need to practice more more the other killers. I rotate between legion, bubba, Clown, huntress, and twins and I get at the minimum 2k on all these killers, moat of the time 4k or 3 with a hatch escape.
-
I really feel bad for console players who try to play any of ranged attack killers. It must be hell

'trying to secure on kill'... we are not talking about 4 gens popping before the first survivors down, scenarios.
we are talking 'hook survivors one by one after slugging' or 'go directly for the slug and let people bleed out, only patroling in case someone has unbreakable'
The latter I have seen in 5 matches against trickster already. Five.
I haven't seen this 5 times with bubba even.
This isn't 'trying to get at least one kill'
Honestly I've only seen a handful of tricksters since his release, and most of them completely give up at some point because they only get 1 down by the time the 5th generator is done.
I've seen one or two face camp their one and only hook, bjt it's been during egc which a lot of killers do.
If survivors are allowing trickster to slug multiple people than there have been SEVERAL critical mistakes made.
-
It's so stupid.
You don't even really need Enduring as killer right now since the chances of being stunned is cut almost in half if you swing through them.
The best part is their own patch notes says it's fixed 🤣
-
Trickster is so weak the "scummy" ones are probably desperately trying to secure atleast one kill per match.
He's basically the hard mode if killers (along with nurse)
-
Yes there's a bug right now with chests giving absurd amounts of keys.
I was playing survivor, without any chest perks, and unlocked TWO Red keys right after the other.
Playing as killer, almost all my games have a key user in them which is super annoying. Key escapes have escalated tremoundlsy.

@thrawn3054 said:
I personally despise him for the following reasons.
1) I hate his stupid laugh. It's just annoying.
2) I hate his creepy pedo face.
3) His perks are obnoxious.
4) His knives remind me of old Legion.
5) Lastly from a killer stand point he's trash.
I do.
I love his skins, his giggling laughs, his weapons and power, and his lore.
However, gameplay wise, he's awful. It is not fun to get curb stomped by survivors every single game because he is so powerless.

I love dbd and would make it my number one game...well when I could play it. In the evening when I'm coming come from work I have not so much time and then I have to decide.
Waiting 20 minutes for 1 game that could end in 5 minutes
Or
I play something different
I don't understand why the queue times are so bad, dbd is a popular game.
I assume you are trying to play survivor. Yeah, survivor has huge queues in the evenings/early night aka prime time. Killer queue is near instant though most of the day.
-
This probably explains some of my games where half of the map has no hooks and I never really thought about why lmao
-
As soon as Microsoft and bhvr reach a deal that disables all other software from running at the same time as dbd.

@Frontdoor6 said:
Trickster still sucks, its too slow and it feels like Survivors can actually out-run it.
My suggestion, improve the movement speed and make ricochet blades basekit, because right now, Trickster is just a joke and we expected better given how much of a fuss you guys are making over this K-pop thing.
Not for another year or two I'd say.
In bhvrs mind, they put enough time in him already and are extremely unlikely to put any more thought into him until some mid chapter patch a loooooong way down the road
-
@Frontdoor6 said:
As said, i'm done, Trickster cannot be played.
After spending another humiliating match chasing survivors with this ridiculous killer and not being able to down one for the entire match, i'm throwing in the towel
A while ago, i never touched Nurse because she was, to me, the weakest killer in the game. But now she's playable to me, but this loser, not at all. So i'm going to ignore Trickster and never touch it until it gets a REAL buff.
So thanks Devs for making a a complete waste of a killer and making an Aspergers guy look like a complete loser to online people. A word of advise, don't make the same mistake with the next one
I feel you man. I was really excited to play him, was going to be one of my mains.
But even after his qol buffs he's just sooooo weak vs any team that have 2 brain cells.
-
From a lore standpoint, no. I don't really like that demodog is in the game because it doesn't really make sense. He's basically an animal that kills for food which I would think the entity wouldn't care for.
From a fun standpoint, oh yeah. Gimme xdnomorph all day baby

I have spent more than 1000 hours in matchmade games with every remaining survivor slugged waiting for them to bleed out before one hooking the last person IF and only if there was a hook near by. I would pick them up, confirm no hatch and drop them down if there wasn't. killers don't do this to win, killers do this to get the most value and afford the most pressure. It denies random hatch escapes, a slew of second chance perks and wins more cleanly. It's not something you "fall back on" if you think you have to hustle or you're going to lose, it's often just a better play in a game you would have won anyway 99 times out of 100
No offense but that is a real scummy way to play killer. Being slugged for the bleed out duration is incredibly boring as survivor. You're basically denying them to even play the match for more than one chase.
You honestly don't need to slug the entire team unless you get some toxic 4 man.
-
Yes if he had vigil, it takes sprint burst down to 32 seconds I believe
-
If it's still early game and I'm doing well I'll typically eat it to avoid it later in match.
Any other time I juat ignore.
-
It's going out of your way to slug all 4 survivors early in the game is what people have issue with.
I recently picked twins up myself and have not once felt like I had to slug the entire team to win.
-
Yup its just insanity as a m1 killer. The amount of ultra safe pallets is absurd. How did bvhr think it was a good idea?
It's a shift w gamer dream come true
-
@RenTheCat said:
Why is this even a thing? How come all 4 survivors can split up, go into the corners of he map and start working on a gen? If you don't find anyone in 80 seconds that's 4 gens doing in ONE MINUTE (and 20 seconds). If you do find someone, in those big ass maps, then during one chase or just as you got the first hook you have 3 gens pop up.
You can't teleport around the map, you can't make chases take 1 second, you can't make the gen progress actually regress because Hex: Ruin spawn is a joke and kicking the gen doesn't do anything (And pop goes the weasel literally requires you to hook someone).
Then survivors claim there is no gen rush and that they are just doing their objective but their objective sure as hell isn't to take advantage of how it's more efficent for some reason to do gens alone (Instead of being the opposite so it encourages teamwork) and each one go on a gen in the corners of the map so the killer can't find you.
And why should anyone even bother with late game if all the totems will have been destroyed by then (since they spawn righ next to generators) and if the killer is trying to defend the last remaining 3 gens they will just find a key and leave through the hatch.
This is optimal survivor play unfortunately. This is what makes try hard swf so bad to play against.

Bubba is a monster if you know how to maneuver and time his saws. People will constantly be on hooks.

Never accepting they screwed up or can’t lose a killer in a chase
My personal favorite is when they drop the last/only pallet in an area and instead of making distance they spend 2 seconds to t bag and get downed. Then flame in chat. 🤷♂️
-
@redsopine00 said:
becu every time I’ve had that it’s been Red ranks pissed at me for outplaying them
Yup, all the time. It's never their fault they died but rather you played an op killer or build or tunneled or camped.
-
I love horror but ironically only played very little of the RE games over the years. I just don't find it very interesting.
I'd love to see alien or some kind of spin on slender man.
-
Trickster needs a 5th perk slot to be viable imo
-
The thing about noed is that it's a REALLY cheap way to get kills, which is why people complain about it.
Survivors go all game feeling they are doing good at looping the killer and getting gens done only get get one shot down by a wraith and then face camped until death.
It's a very unsatisfying perk for both sides imo.
-
I seriously doubt they will buff trickster further within the next 12 months. In the devs eyes, they've put enough work into him for a long time until they arbitrary decide to rework his power in 3 years.
-
Well they've been broken for like 2 years now so odds aren't good.
-
I actually like that map as both killer and survivor. The only time it kind of sucks is when playing huntress.
-
Is there a bug with the amount of keys in chests lately? It seems every other game 2 people are escaping via keys. I was going to make a thread about the huge uptick in keys from the last few weeks and saw this one.
-
Yeah its not fixed. I noticed the first game playing killer after the patch I still wasn't getting stunned, just vacuumed back to my side of it.
-
He feels better to play, less clunky. Throwing knives feels better.
He is still not viable at all, takes ages to down someone. Power is completely useless and a hinderance in many parts of the map such as shack, jungle gyms, and buildings.
-
The no stun issue is still happening
Literally my first game in the new patch as Trickster I attempted a hit through the pallet at the same time survivor was throwing it down, and it just vacuumed me out like it has been since last patch without the stun.
-
@Frontdoor6 said:
I've tried Trickster with the new buffs and i can't see much of a difference from before. Its still slow and survivors feel comfortable around it because its not intimidating enough, just like the old version of the Nurse. Slow and easy to win against.
The Devs are making a big fuss over K-pop and making it sound like this killer is a big deal, but making the face of this chapter weak as balls isn't the best way to make people feel the same. Putting blood on a singer to make it look cool isn't an excuse for lack of effort when it comes to the ability.
If anyone has any suggestions please leave a comment. And welcome Trickster, DBD's newest punching bag for survivors
And if anyone from the DBD team are reading this and don't feel the same, then by all means, tell us your part
I agree, hes still pretty pathetic. His buffs make him feel better to play but it still takes FOREVER to down people with or without his power.
I'm convinced now this was a quick cash grab chapter.
-
He is basically huntress but worse in every way.
He feels better with the qol buffs but experienced survivors just loop him for days.
It's unfortunate that this is most likely where bhvr will leave him because he's such a cool character imo.
Can't believe we have a killer worse than clown 😶
