Where is the anti-tunnel part ?
This is just the survivor doesnt go down because you are there.
-
Just be psychic lazy survivors it's not hard. My god, you can hear her footsteps when shes 8 meters from you, use that to your advantage... even though shes right on top of you at that point and can hear you breath/moan/rustle grass.
-
oop, he got you girl. I'm comin', don't struggle.
-
Wraith always had a speed up while in cloak, but there was a time when the post uncloak boost only existed as an addon. He was never truly invisible, you always saw the shimmering and so survivors would immediately run to pallets and there you are... slowly trailing behind them. With the post blink speed add on you could sometimes get a hit before they made it to one of the many, many, many pallets.
He was really weak, so they just gave it to him as base kit, but I can't remember if what he has now is over-all slower than what he used to have, or the same. It was a while ago when I was a survivor main.
-
Nurse absolutely.
I can see her now, straight up strangling some chopped up blue lady twink in the style of the Simpsons.
-
I see there was also a brain worms outbreak
-
You know, if you have important information of truly horrible things happening, you're better off telling an official then dangling "I know something terrible, I'm not going to say anything but do your own research" to a bunch of people that probably dont care.

I know they've usually made up for things in the past. Its not like they NEVER listen to us and just leave the game how it is
It's just that you'd think most companies would opt to not have glaring bugs in the first place. It feel common place for things in this game to just break and having consumers that accept that is a massive break as well. But the twins were half baked at a full price, and now this desync.
I'm sure they will fix it eventually, but who can say what will break because of it.
-
I don't think you understand just how many times they've had a break.
-
It depends on the rule set. The last thing I want to watch something that turns out like OWL where everyone runs the same comp, with the same strategy, with a pacing so samey that once you've seen one game, you've seen them all.
-
At least she is dedicated. She will die on this "killers are op" hill need be.
-
Sentience is a pretty low bar, but I mean... Dbd is pretty low bar too.
-
I see they are using the nurse method to balance him out
-
If you are going to let people write what ever they want on your profile, they are going to write what ever they want on your profile.
Just private your account
-
Seeing survivors fight each other in chat always brings a smile to my face.
Like a job well done.
-
Were 360s really a problem? At most they work once and then you just wait.
-
Was hit validation ever a full thing? I though it was still in its prototype phase.
-
I feel like some of these things read like
If you kill people in the game = you kill people in real life.
It's a video game, I dont know why some of us are looking too deep into something that doesn't really mean anything.
-
Buff or bug? But honestly, it needs a bit of a boost anyway.
-
It would be a sensible idea to revert to a working version when a patch is this catastrophic.
-
I guess it depends on how its done. Otherwise it may as well be OoO except but no perk required
-
Shes not as hard as some people make her out to be. She has a learning curve but not some impossible task.
go to shack, stand on one side, use it to measure out and get a feel for your blinks. Once you do, you can either get back into the game or just practice by blinking to objects. Then it's about reading survivors, how they play, whether they back track or just hold w. Also, just because you can blink through walls doesn't mean you shouldn't give up a chase. Do not make the mistake of endlessly blinking like old nurse could.
-
Only if I can 4 perks.

Yeah but at the same time; even Otz who's touted to be one of the best loses games every now and then. The fact that Hexy's been undefeated for over a month now; playing various killers is odd.
That is true, but Otz is also leagues nicer than Hexy. Otz will sometimes lay off of survivors, while Hexy will straight up bleed you out or camp you till 2nd hook/death if he feels it will give him an advantage. I wouldn't say Hexy is toxic, he doesn't do it to grief people, but he won't hesitate like Otz sometimes does.
I don't really find being good at various killers to be weird. When you know the basics like possible survivor spawns, tile sets, and an inner clock, the only thing left to learn is how to use the power. And I really hope (as I'm sure everyone does) that they factor that into their new skill calculator. If you can play pig, you can play wraith, doctor, freddy, or any m1 killer to some extent. Switching in between those kinds of killers doesn't make them new.
-
Hexy is also really competitive, and the fact that there isn't a real matchmaker means that you have one guy that is playing to win and 4 other people that may be just playing for fun. Maybe that will change with their overhaul.
I also rarely ever see Fungoose's swf lose, but again, not all killers sweat out their games.

Sorry off topic, but don't want to make a new thread about it.
Anyone know when the the rank 20 reset ######### starts?
I was wondering the exact same thing when the patch hit. I guess on 13th like usually.
-
It's just another way of prying money out of you.
I never buy them, but I always read people saying it's really grindy.
-
So which is worse. The twin release or this patch?

When he aims at you there's a ringing sound as he's aiming, if it stops you're out if his line of site/reach. I wish I had that much information against Huntress hatchets. I love going against him. One killer you can fight back against when they hit you rather than just relying on dodging hits.
There are two sound queues for huntress hatchets. One where she takes a deep breath and readies a hatchet. The other is like a "shing" noise when the hatchet has been max charged.
Also I think it's important to add that no Deathslinger hard scopes so the ringing barely comes into play because missing shots is pretty punishing.

Because their main objective is hitting people, as opposed to the survivors main objective of doing generators?

My issue would be per example: you're injured, you save a team mate from the hook, they have DS. You need to get healed, They wont because theyll lose DS.
They may change their tune if you heal them first and in a more safe place like any where but under the hook.
I still think we should wait it out and look to what the new matchmaking system is like. Hopefully it puts sentient survivors on your team and the need to substitute perks for teammates will be gone.
-
I mean, there was that one time with Demo.
-
I was feeling the same thing lol.
It felt like killers whined a lot more but I haven't seen them nerf haggle like this.
-
IMO, This just goes back to you having no options to play around MoM if you are an m1 killer. M1 killers do not need more things stacked against them.
And the exhaustion nerf barely changes anything. You can still play normally with an exhaustion perk, build it and on second chase you have a flat out upgrade.

This is the upteenth post about this. There are more people pretending people care about DS then there are people that actually care about DS. Move on. No one cares
For real, and its always someone pointing out this very niche worst case scenario

The main salt is due to the utter babying the Devs give to low skilled players. It's starting to slowly become like WoW; where instead of putting in the effort to learn how to play and grind the hours to get better.. they just cry and cry and cry until it gets nerfed to their skill level. Some examples:
Ruin = Nerfed because survivors cant hit skill checks
Bloodlust = Added because killers didn't want to learn how to mind game
Undying = Nerfed because survivors don't want to look for totems
Infinites = Removed because Killers refused to leave a survivor and catch them off guard later.
Decisive Strike = Nerfed numerous times because Killers still refuse to not tunnel survivors.
Hatch = Made it so Killer gains closing priority
Bloodlust was added in an era where infinites were a real thing and entity blocker wasn't. You were not going to mindgame the auto haven wretched shop when it had two windows open right next to each other and a longish wall connecting them. You chase them, they hop over, you go around, they hop over, you fake, they hop right over again, eternally.
The problem with infinites depended on where they were located. I never had a problem with the silo because it was off in the opposite side of the map. But when the loop is in the center like iron works or wretched shop, it's too accessible for it be ignored. Every chase leads to it because how easy it is to reach with 1 damage boost.
Most of the problems of this game has been caused by whoever green lights maps and only now are they starting change it but after they added so many bandaids.
Personally I see the hatch change as a neutral. I don't think anyone liked 10 min standoffs because making the first move meant you lost.

That's the same of what people are doing right now, also be ready for crouching behind a gen bait.
This so called nerf is a placebo and so many clueless killers are getting fooled by it.
As tru3 said back in 2019 "now ds is a fair perk that punishes tunneling" how the turn tables and will be the same in 2021
I just dont see that as a problem. If I hook the survivor and while I'm with another survivor the former doesnt do anything but hold ds, the killer is still coming out with an advantage.
Worst case is they ds you and now what? They didn't do anything but sit next to gen pretending to work instead of actually working on it. You can always go back to patrolling gens after you eat it.
It reminds me of survivors when they go against PH where they would rather get downed than cross the red lasagna and make it to a pallet.
Also Tru changes his mind flippantly sometimes, but the man is allowed to do that because he never claimed to "the" source on all things dbd.

How's ds less abusable when survivors wont do anything but bodyblock the killer since they cant do anything else?
As if this change will make people stop ranting
If a survivor want to grind up against the killer, at least it doesn't cost the killer any time.
I imagine that ds bodyblocking is going to be as predictable in behavior as when someone has bt. They start doing flat out stupid things.
You can just slug them and still have los of the person you are after.
-
Because they can. Need there be any other reason?

As opaque as the developers tend to be around making changes to frustrating or overpowered mechanics, I really appreciate the gesture with this proposed Object of Obsession change.
My knee-jerk feedback is that unless the killer is using BBQ or Nurse's Calling, this is functionally just gonna be a worse version of Alert. And with BBQ, you already know where the killer is -- they're at the hook. I think this is an improvement over what OoO does now, but I don't think it serves much purpose as described in this proposal (although it's not like the redesign has to be some uber meta perk or anything like that, either...).
same! Though I hate OoO, it's hard to actually look at this and say it's good, but for what it gives you I don't know what conditions would be fair. I guess they could just throw in the token system that the newer perks have, something like
Do X to gain a token, Press Button to activate it for Y seconds. The killer can see you while the ability is active.
-
Does it really matter what the intended use of the perk is if the problem is that big? Why was old ruin changed despite of it doing it's job as an anti-gen perk, and undying is about to be changed despite it fulfilling it's job as a hex protection perk.

Really? I thought they mentioned them all but just said they were getting small changes eventually. I will have to check the stream.
I mean, they kind of gave a yes-no answer like, we like where she is but maybe we'll change her. It was pretty brief and they went into killers they were definitely going to change some aspect of next immediately.

Hm, hm. I see. Did they go into any details?
-https://www.twitch.tv/deadbydaylight/video/900872762 (in case if doesn't load)
it's at 48:22.
Pig isn't getting any changes, they say her performance is good and that they like her. But they do add that it doesn't mean that changes are out of the question for killer that are already good by their standards.
Freddy, Demo and Huntress are next for changes though. What? Didn't say anything.
-
a moment of silence please. To those perks that are now on that eternal shore, their sacrifice was not in vain.
OoO, and DS have been apprehended and are now awaiting sentencing.
-
What I also want to know if this also strikes down of the Unbreakable + Ds combo. If you pick yourself up, does that count as a heal? if so, smoll unmentionable builds have been purified to reasonable.
-
why are you always healing under hook then?
-
I'm really glad about the tap part personally. Kicking gens in general is entirely useless because of the time it takes to kick as a killer and the time a survivor takes to stop it is completely out of whack. like 2 second kick vs .1 second tap. at least now if a survivor sees one and has ds, they have an some important decision to make though natural gen regression is still pretty slow (but probably should be that way anyway).
I don't know, the thing is that some of these complaints feel like they are bad play issues like healing under hook when a killer shows that they always come back.
We'll just have to see I guess.
-
I wouldn't mind if the killer aura reveal part of kindred was basekit. It wouldn't require any balance changes like there would be if the survivor aura part was included because people already can signal that a killer is camping by flapping around on the hook, having it reveal within some fixed unalterable meters doesn't change much.

In any case, in-game reports are useless. At least, with a support ticket + proof, I increase my chances, even minimal, that a ban falls on the face of one of these #########.
Not if its "At the slightest insult". A person has to open and look at what you've submitted, but if it's consistently something like, "you are poo", your reports aren't going to be taken seriously and may just be ignored.
Unless they say something racist, sexist, or something clearly not okay, no one is getting banned for anything.
