I love deathslinger, but this doesn't change anything that people take issue with. No, TR or ADS changes.
Even if these changes went live, it won't change that my games are just going to be survivors holding W. Because that's the most consistent play they can do.
I think we'd need to remove some of his chase power and shift it over to some other area. But this is just a buff to something he already excels in.
-
I think the fact that mother's dwelling being a big map makes it look like a bigger problem than it is. Holding w can be strong, but the sheer size of the map makes it so you can't cut paths or break chase to go for someone else without losing a bit of time over it.
If anything, I feel this shows that maps should follow some size standard, but nothing specific about survivors themselves.

Ahh apologies I thought it was a homophobic thing, seeing as how many people decided he was an LGBT character for some reason.
I'm hardly innocent. Like I wrote before, when I wrote that comment, the context was all in my head and honestly, replying "and?" Is like me getting upset at someone for not being psychic.
Reading it back, yeah I can see how some can read it as mocking. I should also apologize. I am sorry if it came off like that. I didn't mean for it to be anything other than just a playful sandbag towards the trickster.

Gonna be honest, g, I just thought you perceived Trickster as a female.
No, but I do understand how someone can get that idea. It's a two part thing for me.
I'm gay (not really much of an excuse) , so a lot of things are refered to as female (even if implied or blatantly otherwise) just to lighten things up. The other that ties into it is the obvious. Certain context like tone or pacing is not really existent when written. So, in truth, I'm really the only person that has the context of it being a joke already in my head. I didn't mean for it to be taken in a serious way.

You keep referring to the Killer, who is male, as a female.
Trickster is not female. Why are you calling him "homegirl"?
It was ment to be taken as a light hearted comment about a character that I liked but thought was a little weak.
I also thought that the first sentence read as much:
"I'm not going to pour one out for the new girl, but I have the bottle already cracked open."
Well, unless you think I literally have a bottle open next to me and am going to offer a drink to a fictional character

??
The new killer is male, the survivor is female
and?
-
I'm not going to pour one out for the new girl, but I have the bottle already cracked open.
A 110% MS killer with a non lethal power, that's going to get clowned by the same maps that make her better counterpart an M1tress.
The only thing homegirl had was being able to build laceration while in animation lock for a possible quick down (like procing the first one, then the survivor throws down a pallet and proc another), but just like throwing a pallet on a frenzied legion "why even bother? just hold w"

Classic BHVR!
;)

I remember kind of rolling my eyes when I saw Oni, but not for any balance reason. But more so because, at the time he struck me as a "sell the solution to a problem". He hard countered the no heal meta, which was nice, but I'm always like "what about all of the other killers?".
-
man, that reminds me of the pre-penalty days.
Normally if people dc immediately (like before any generators have been done), I'll just slam them on the hook, let them get saved and make a cup of tea. But, my god, it came to a point where either every or every other game had a dc in it. At that point, I just said "I just want to play the game" and just played the game normally.

I think that opening a locker to see a huddled over victor , that is then picked up, and comforted by his sister would be too pure for this vile community.

Fun times back in that first winter. Killers could equip other killers equipment, like chainsaw myers. They could also equip survivor perks, so good luck trying to get away from a killer with bond.
It was pretty easy when you could equip multi sprint bursts and exhaustion didn't exist.

I'm the same way with whispers/iron will :(

You are concered they will not do enough??? is this a joke?
The changed the perfect killer Hillbilly a "little" by butchering him completly. My fear is that instead of changing little by little they will nerf every thing about him eventhough removing e.g. the teleport would be propably enough to reduce his power to A tier
How did they butcher billy? Though I think the heat mechanic was completely unneeded, it barely does anything at all. He feels more or less the same to me. I think one of his greater problems is that there are more killers that are better.
-
baby, it is the weekend. Remember to put on your scrubs before you launch the game.
-
Just hold w gaming
-
it's pretty common for games to put the burden of skill on the defending team.
Either they get longer respawns, travel times or something, because otherwise games end up largely not changing state. Full holds every time.
but this game. . i don't know. This game barely takes skill from either side honestly.

On PC you can make custom icons for perks, items, killer/survivor thumbnails, etc
I thought that wasn't possible on the current patch but seems to be coming back on the ptb.

It doesn't matter if it is a SWF or not, any skilled survivor can use tiles in a way to where it is honestly unfair for the killer. SWF just makes them have information on the killer.
I was about to say that sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't thinks solo survivors are toothless.
-
I had a match on midwich where I camped someone in a 3 gen. They were on second stage, already half way down and everyone else was either hiding or obviously baiting at the complete opposite of the hallway. It's definitely not the go-to solution, but works when used intelligently (ironically enough).
-
I learned that ruin undying is the best way to get a 50 win streak.
but seriously, I guess he's okay.
-
I don't know. I barely play Ms. Piggy but I'm still getting the usual red ranks. I guess, you're experience may vary kind of thing.

Yes in the grand scheme of the game you have an option to deal with a guy sitting on a gen unsafe if he just had DS slug the issue is unbreakable being able to be used with it to make this something that is just a waste of your time because survivors dont have to move off what they are doing to pickup. Toolboxes dont have that unless you want to waste a perk slot on franklins and still it can be used any time and take a long time to decay while swfs will be able to reset the toolboxes decay. Prove thyself has no indication its being used and their nothing that can be done about it. Everyone being hung up on this is the progress thats theoretically possible if
-you ignore the survivor
-they get on a gen instantly off hook
-they dont heal so its easier to snowball
-you dont slug past the minuet
slugging a ds user as counter works if they just let you do it in a quick enough time. If they are going to sit there and let you bop them over the head sure, but what about if you patrolling and you just see a person you just hooked working a gen and they start running away immediately? You can ignore them and try to find someone else, but you know for a fact they are going to go back to it.
The problem with sitting on a gen with Ds is that it lets the survivor progress the game state into one that is more favorable to them, while the killer can't do anything about it. They can dedicate time to mitigating that benefit and chase them down to slug them, but that still gives the other survivors time on gens.
Honestly, both of our situations require some amount of set up to see happening because we know how random maps can be. You can either get nothing but LT walls/ dead zones, or safe loops that just chain together near endlessly. All we can do is pick which is the best of a bad situation.
-
The only issue that the DS changes address is that after your unhooked you are able to sit on a gen relatively risk free but I would say that's a non issue
You're telling me that being able to do 75% of a generator for free is less impactful then a toolbox that takes off like 20 seconds?
-
I think it's usually just people who don't play all that much.
sometimes it can be a survivor main that dumps points into killers but rarely ever plays. and when they do, it's meta + pink/purple add ons, and other times, it's same except its a killer main on survivor.

Yes it is so now and in the past. But I suggest the future. A total rework of Hex system.
a rework of the system but not a rework of what the perks do.
If they are to be like that, then I would expect some huge nerfs across all hexes.
Like:
ruin regresses at 100/75/50/20 % regression.
-
what is this obsession with making hex perks consistent?
I thought the whole gimmick was that it's supposed to be powerful but can be taken away at any time. I think one of the bigger problems with hex perks is that some of them don't do anything worthy to be hex perks in the first place. I'd rather see the weak one get buffed in some way than to have them last forever.
-
I can't wait for him to get out of brown ranks.
I genuinely want to see how someone that might not watch dbd content navigates loops. or if he naturally get to the idea of reversing loops to force survivors into a dead zone.
-
I don't think they are any slower. and the "hold w" strategy has always been really good. You can't get mind gamed at pallets when you minimize the opportunities for them to try, so oddly enough, you can last a bit longer.
-
You can just play within your mental limits. Like I tend to only play 2 or 3 rounds and then I switch to another game.
-
Not gonna lie, I can't help but look at the build.
I get people can run what they want. You do you, but It's always weird seeing someone complain about busted perk set ups while simultaneously running perk set ups that are just as overkill.
but yeah, I'm glad thats getting changed next patch.

I'm ready for iridescent boomerang.

It does sound OP but it's 4% per gen, that's just 2.4 seconds increased time per gen Popped.
lol, I was just poking at the way it read (or at least to me), was that it buffs survivors gen and healing speeds for a quarter of the speed agitation gives, but I guess you could stack them for +22% on the ultimate backpack meme build.
-
So what is it about red ranks that you are trying to get out asap?
-
With what slinger has going for him, I'd expect some pretty big downsides with that addon.
Like becoming 105% ms and his terror radius become a static 24 (if not more and unaffected by M&A)
-
Nothing from ptb transfers over to live so you can do what ever with it.
-
Ah yes, Frankie's. The perk that knocks an item out of their hand and does nothing else unless that survivor is possessed by suicidally greedy spirit of Smeagol.
-
it really is a vicious circle. Killer's don't want to be tortured by swfs, but playing without a swf is practically torture in itself.
-
Personally by how often I use their perks
Dwight (bond) / Tapp (hunch) / Jane ( head on) and last Adam.

How is gen tapping getting nerfed?
if you tap a gen, you lose ds. though, it is pretty click baity.
-
gen tapping is getting nerfed next patch along with DS.
-
baby, you are probably going to die in that queue. It feels like the ptb only lasts for like 2 days, then everyone switches back.
-
isn't that just freddy without the sleepy time part?
-
For a second, I thought this was going to be about an old bug that caused survivors to be unkillable but also unable to interact with anything.
-
I dont even think they would fight. I feel like they'd be similar enough to be friends.
-
Just because both sides have it, doesn't mean its balanced.
That's 4 extra perks the killer has to deal with vs 1 on the survivor side. And that not looking at WHAT is going in those slots.
