yes this sounds good, maybe disable effect after last gen.
No, otherwise, there would be no counter-play in the end game and it would be like old BT with a free escape for both the unhooked survivor and their saviour.
Being able to bum-rush a hook and save someone durign the game with this perk would already be frustrating for the killer. Having the perk effectivly only be usful during the game is fine, as na anti-camping perk. However, during the end-game, if all 4 survivors are alive and one gets cought, being able to 100% save them removes any skill play on the killers side as they cannot do anytihng.
-
Here's what I think OP ment:
-Not Borrowed Time-
For 10/12/15 seconds after unhooking a Survivor within the Killer's Terror Radius, you gain the Endurance Status Effect.
Any Protection Hit's taken that would put you into the Dying State will instead trigger the Deep Wound Status Effect, after which you have 20 seconds to Mend yourself, triggeing this affect makes you the obsession.
Taking any damage while under the effect of Deep Wound or if its timer runs out will put you into the Dying State.
This perk is disabled after the last generator is powerd, or if you are the obsession.
Decreases the odds of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Some killers have abilities that LOOK like M1 to screw with survs too, e.g Wraith starting the bell hit, survs see killer moving and just hit E
It's the one powerful survivor perk that I, as a killer player, find fun interactions with where it becomes a sort of mindgame scenario between me and the survivor
We're getting DS and OoO nerfs, which were the only 2 perks that I think are TRULY unfair, please chill a little

Not another one. You can't bait out DH used for distance to reach a pallet or window.
Both of these are true, and not super important problems. Maybe the devs could add a stipulation for being in a chase, but that would make DH basically useless against stealth killers and nurse. The best option in my opinion is to leave it as-is for now.
-
I think that the perks mentioned should be buffed and standardized.
-
Increasing the base aura reveal duration and having the duration be 30 seconds at every level. Say 65/4 seconds of the uara reveal, so survivors must spend a bit more time in lockers.

they won't and can't do a maintenance only patch as it would kill the game, supposedly anyway.

-
Laid Back maybe, but Auto Mechanic fixes the gen until it gets kicked, finished, or the survivor who activated it gets hooked.
An individual generator would take 160 seconds on its own. No perks or Toolboxes would interact with it, meaning it would always take 160 seconds. Other survivors could work on a repairing generator, but it would still be less efficient than if 2 survivors worked on it together. It would allow the more altruistic/bold survivors to still help the team with objectives.

I never said nay thing about a new theme, just mix of the "default" chase themes, made more in line with modern DBD themes.

different variations have different amounts of time, and this item breaks fully after use (like old items- you lose it once its out of charges). also, canceling the item instantly breaks it aswell
Sounds good, howver, having your uarea unable to be read is to much. Just hding in a locker before using. And while looking through the killers eyes, you see the auras they see. (Gens etc.)

I think it's a no-go for Nemisis, as he'd be ranged, and the devs said they don't want to add any more ranged killers.
Even if they did, it wouldn't make sence for him or Mr. X to even be bother by a pallet. Also, most Tryant are over 7 ft tall. Very big bois, on Lery's, they'd hit there head on the top of the door frames. Unless they went with Big Boi's that are slow and one shot you if you're in melee range. And being immune to stuns.

Hex: Hired Help
At the start of the trial, one survivor who opts in to be affected by this perk is selected and cannot be or become your Obsession.
This Traitor gains 75% fewer Bloodpoints for Altruism, Boldness, or Survival.
The Traitor gains new score events called Collaboration, Betrayal, and Selfishness.
Traitors cannot be harmed by the killer until this hex is cleansed, when it is, the Traitor may choose to remain the Traitor or become a survivor.
At the end of the trial, the Traitor is sacrificed by the entity and takes 25% of the Bloodpoints earned by the killer. Post-trial, their Bloodpoints earned during the trial are increased by 300% if they ended the trial as a Traitor.
Blood Fueled:
The more the tease you, the harder you'll try.
- Bloodlust increases are reduced to +2% (+0.08 m/s) per level but can stack indefinitely.
- Bloodlust tiers up every 14/12/10 seconds that you are in a chase. (+10% at 50 seconds vs +15% at 45 seconds)
- Only half of your bloodlust tiers are lost on completed break action or a successful hit. (Rounded up.)
- Outside of a chase, bloodlust degrades by 1 tier every 15 seconds, bloodlust no longer degrades after the FINAL generator is started.
Outta my way!:
Press the perk activation key to perform a straight forward dash with 50/100/150% speed for 0.5 seconds.
Survivors that would block your path are knocked to the side.
Dropped pallets are knocked back into their upright position.
If your speed during the dash exceeds 280% the dash instead will break walls and pallets you collide with.
This perk has a 60 second cooldown, +10 seconds per survivor knocked aside and +5 seconds if a pallet is knocked up or a wall/pallet is destroyed. Up to a 100-second cooldown.
Heavyweight - You know how to use your weight and momentum to your advantage.
While airborne your all damaging attacks deal double damage. You fall 10%/15%/20% slower and retain full movement control while in the air unless movement is restricted by power, perk, or addon.
Iridescent Sight - For 15 / 20 / 25 seconds after the chase ends, you see a white aura of objects and survivors the chased survivor has interacted with.
Hex: Counter Intel - While this Hex remains, if a survivor sees your aura, you see theirs for; the same duration / the duration +3 seconds / the duration +5 seconds, if the survivor would see your aura but are Blind, this perk still applies to their attempt to read your aura.
"You want me to come to you? Fine, here I come!"
“Notice Me” - You become obsessed with one Survivor.
You gain 100% more Bloodpoints in all categories if scored against any survivor except your obsession. If your obsession is dead at the end of a trial gain 50% more post-trial Bloodpoints
If your obsession is alive you gain 10% bonus movement speed.
If your obsession escapes the trial, you lose 50% total Bloodpoints earned in the trial, applied after other Bloodpoint modifiers.
"Everything has a cost, even loving you." ~ #1 Fan
Paint Dye - You’re basic attacks cause the survivors to bleed a random specific color, yellow, light blue, pink, & lime green, once a survivor is bleeding a specific color, only their blood will be that color for the rest of the match. Affected survivors perform ALL actions 1/2/3% slower.
“Look at those pretty colors, I know who’s here” ~ Funny Man Jones
Feigned Gate - You and they, both know that this will never end. Your overpowering connection to this place distorts it to your liking. Up to 2 additional Fake exit gates are added when the trial is generated. The Fake exit gate switches are tracked as usually by survivors who can track their auras. When the exit gates are powered the Fake exit gate switch auras are shown to you in red. Opening a Fake Exit Gate does not start the End Game Collapse.
If the trial area cannot support the additional gates, skill checks are added to the exit gate switches, failing a skill check removes 10/15/20% unlocking progress if there is 1 Fake Gate, if there are no Fake Gates the failed skill checks remove 20/25/30% instead.
“Trapped, without purpose, doing something else’s bidding. Not if I can help it.” ~ A demon or somthing
Reverse Roulette:
You hear the Hatch Echo 12/24/36 meters Further.
The trial starts with 1 additional Hatch spawn, The Trapped Hatch.
The Trapped Hatch will sacrifice any survivors who enter it and The Hatch will let the survivors out as normal.
The status of survivors who enter either hatch is Unknown to the survivors remaining in the trial.
“That Vigo fellow traded his secrets for his freedom. He held up his end, now to find us a way out of this place.” ~Voice from the void.
Seek and Sacrifice - Understanding how to appease the entity can make this easier.
When you hook a survivor gain a token, for each token you have you gain 1/2/3 meters of aura reading around you. If a survivor dies in any other way, you lose all earned tokens.
Hex: Desperation - Power-based on your fear of failure, once the exit gates are power and a Dull or Hex totem remains, this perk will either light a Dull totem or share a Hex totem with another Hex perk.
Other Hex perks gain priority and are lit before this perk is applied to the Hex totem.
Per survivor remaining in the trial gain an additional 5/10/15% vault speed and hit/miss recovery speed increase.
Also, your movement speed is increased by 10%.

Remember how I said my 4AM post wasn't a rant? Now here is one. Devs what is wrong with you? And no I don't need a Mod to remove this post or to ban me I'll be Civil trust me. But Look, Gun Media. Did a better job at making cosmetics on the side and fixing the game they made than Ya'll do.
You wanna know what makes this game boring?
Unbreakable
D.S.
Borrowed Time
Sprint Burst
Dead Hard
God Shack Pallet (How the [BAD WORD] is this called the Killer shack if KILLERS CAN GET OUT RAN IN IT)
God Tree Pallet
Keys
Fast Gen Speed Times
Ranks in General
Not Being able to see WHAT PLATFORM THESE PEOPLE ON YOUR TEAM OR YOU'RE AGAINST ARE ON SO YOU CAN REPORT THEM PROPERLY WITH EVIDENCE.
So you really want to know why people love to call this a Dead game when it's not? Why they despise Survivors? Why they Despise PC? Why they DISABLE crossplay? Why some refuse to buy any new Killer or any new Cosmetic that comes out? Because Unlike Gun Media you don't know what to patch and when to Patch it. These Meta Perks take no skill because they are ALL SECOND CHANCE PERKS. Yet, the killer gets maybe the same 4 equivalent perks to the Survivor Meta perks and they get HUGGGGGGGGGGGE disadvantages because apparently you thought of how it could be Overpowered for killers to use on Survivors yet you won't EVER nerf these META perks. You Untouch them as if it was your prized possession. Then you add more and more and more second chance META perks to their turntable and BOOM what do Killer's get? "Entity Displeased" or "Ruthless Killer" That is unacceptable. Was I a Ruthless killer? Did it feel good to get 1 Kill after you got slammed by 16 META PERKS AT ONCE!?
If you allow the Survivors to rule the match then WHY EVEN BOTHER HAVING KILLERS IN THE GAME!? And yes I see you survivor lurking in the shadows! I see you wondering why us Killers don't play at night or Hell even play as Killer often and you wanna know why? Because we can't always bust our balloons (Insert Clown Joke Here) to combat the same old Meta that has been guess what? BEEN AROUND SINCE ALMOST 2016!!!! Those reasons above. Are why some people are leaving your game. Why survivors are seeing lack of Killers or hell Killer gameplay. Cause you force em to play META killers with META builds to try to combat the 2016-17 META.
I don't care what Scott Jund, OhTofu, No0b3, The King, Ohmwrecker, or any of the other Twitch Streamers say about the Topic. They can have their own points but my Point is is stop wasting your money on cosmetics and actually give us QOL chances WE ACTUALLY NEED.
Cause at this point this game is just getting more ridiculous and is turning most of your fanbase off. And frankly for a person who Loves the Horror Franchise and Loves the Gaming Community this is just a Rotten Tomatoes score of 35% of people like this Game. Cause if these issues don't get addressed and you waste our time with just Cosmetics then whats the point in buying any more of your products in the future?
Don't get me wrong I did say I was going to be Civil and thats why I didn't cuss out anyone or didn't accuse anyone or didn't bash any dev specifically. Its just I saw the Potential this game had when I first bought it in 2018. But [BAD WORD] is it losing that potential very quick.
Sorry for the rant but it just had to be done. See you in another 6 Months.
- M. Myers
Get it all out man, no one will really listen though. I agree with most of your points, though the only perk I have a problem with is Decisive Strike.
-
Yes, but the last survivor needs to have been hooked at least once, just to give them a chance to wiggle off if they played realtivly well, and hooking is worth more BP anyway.
-
bam
-
They've talked about sperate wigets, which means that allow players to comisimze thier hud shouldn't be to hard to add. We'll see what kinda of message the devs want to send when the patch is released.
-
If killers can't survivors shouldn't be able to either, seems fair to me.

Too bad that your idea of how the game should be is different to what the devs think the game should be. Don't get me wrong, your idea might be cool, it's just not Dead by Daylight. It's a different game altogether. You should probably look for one that suits your tastes.
Edit because I just realized lol: I feel that the one who does not like the idea of DBD is actually you. I don't think that the idea of DBD is what you described on your post. Lore-wise? Maybe. Gameplay-wise? It's just not it.

Imagine trying to power 5 generators if the killer was as powerful as the tank from L4D. That would be impossible. I think you are forgetting that in order to win, the killer has to be stalled long enough for the others to do gens. If he is able to always instantly down, then there is no way to get the objective done. Killers are too overpowered as it is because if you'll watch any random match, the majority of survivors never last a chase longer than a few seconds because of various reasons.
- When did I say I wanted killers to always be able to one shot.
- If survivor took actual skill, making the killers more powerful could work, but only if skillfully useful stealth was a prioritized option.
- By "a few seconds" you mean at least 45 seconds. Sure the first hit may happen because of the killer's stealth, but an away survivor won't get caught out like that. Then the survivors gain at least 15 seconds worth in chase distance, excluding any pallets or windows.
- Originally, the only way to escape the killer's grasp was through teamwork, either body blocking hooks, breaking them in front of the killer, pallet stuns of flashlight stuns. Now, there are too many perks for the survivor the give them second chances, which result in laid back play, where survivors don't strive for perfected looping and movement.
If the devs ever decide to make survivor more skillfully, it would show how truly skilled all those who only play survivor really are.
-
@Sluzzy said:
Killers are not supposed to be the power role. Because being the power role means you control the match and can win by default because you control it.
The game is way too ez for killers and it is already almost unbearable to play survivor anymore. I can't imagine being new to the game and trying to play it. The idea that killer should never lose and survivors should always be defenseless should end.
the power role is meant to be an obstacle the REQUIREs the combined effort of the other team to beat, not a pushover that can be deemed on very easily
For an example of what a killer should be, see juggernaut in CoD, the tank for l4d2 PVP, and the hunters from deathguarden (after they were buffed.)

Uh... Survivor IS hard for someone like me.
I only play killer because the few times I try to play survivor I am just too jumpy to do ANYTHING properly.
All I'm good for is distracting the killer until I finally die.
That's the bad thing about the post that started all this - they grouped every kind of survivor together but I've had PLENTY of fun games where I use an ebony Mori to keep track of hook progress; and I let everyone go if it's a fair and fun game.
But if you troll me I'll just Uno Reverse Card your butt.
You're just not there yet, believe me, play enough and you can solo carry your survivor teammates, both in gen progress and in killer distraction.

To improve the Survivor expierence for new players, they have to "balance" it around potato level (which is okay, cause DBD is supposed to be a casual game IMO). Problem is, that it makes the top tier genrusher groups of Survivors even more powerful. On the other hand, as a killer, I feel like I face "bad" or mediocre survivor teams way more often, than a few months/years ago. So it makes playing killer feel easier, but kinda blurrs the statistics, cause a coordinated Survivor team would probably still steamroll me.

Woah.
I guess when you can't add anything to a resourceful debate, insult the opposing side and make invalid assumptions.
I don't ride anything. I examine actions and make judgement upon them.
Also, I didn't buy the chapter, I bought Elodie because I am a black female in real life & I love representation. (I dont know why I'm wasting my time explaining this to someone like you, but hey, you swear you know it all.)
Try again next time kiddo.
Thanks for validating the fact that a biased person can never be overturned, not even with the evidence in their faces.
Edit: Removed an irrelevant comment.
I'm getting defensive over the fact that it feels like my point of survivor being relatively easy to learn and master, is being twisted into killer bias. Yes, in fact, the game is in the best balance-wise state it's ever been in. It appears that more changes are made to benefit survivors than killers (see hook counter vs. hook progress in the upcoming mid-chapter.)
I should not have assumed your reason for using her as your picture; to me she represents what's wrong with the developer's mindset. The entire binding of kin chapter was awful, with broken, unusable perks, buggy killer, janky visual updates the further cripple the consoles and those with affordable computers.
I apologize, I still believe that survivor is too easy, and that most killers, are pushovers.
This kind of quote can bite someone in the ass if they're not careful (so is this one but, you know.)

"you should be wary of being near, knowing that getting seen a bad, and getting caught dangerous. It isn't, not to myself or any other truly experienced survivors."
And yet with every update and killer released the devs introduce a new way to find survivors. Aura reveals in a least 10+ perks and built in killer powers. Survivors WILL be found. At this point you can be revealed for cleansing a totem, touching a gen, getting out of a locker and recently rummaging through a chest. I don't play stealth. It doesn't pay off, and gens don't get done with this nice new undying/ruin combo. I run. You ever seen what happens when a person goes upstairs and hides in the bathtub during a horror movie? They die in the bathtub. Only the ones who fight back, get s**t done. I don't bully killers. That's some latent PVP crap from people who play other multiplayer games where they swagger around the map using hacks and autoaim and call themselves the best there is.
And there is not one horror game around that maintains it's 'horror and fear factor' for the majority of players. If you play something for 1,000 hours you've seen it all. There is nothing new and no reason to be afraid. Perhaps, you are not challenged with this game since you handicap yourself and still win. That is your experience and not the experience for the majority of the players who barely make it out. Maybe it is not because killers are powerless but that the person behind the killer is not as skilled as you. That happens on both sides. I don't believe you should reward a new player for simply buying a killer that can never be beat. Put in the time like everyone else, if you're getting your behind handed to you in every game, it's not the game.
I misspoke, what I meant is that I want survivor to be more stressed, skillfully, and challenging. The extent of difficulty on the survivor side is, skill checks and looping. When the added the Exeacutuioner and the skill checks for the struggle faced in the cage, I liked that. Facing most any killer with an instadown, I like that, in most cases, it's your miss play if you get caught out by the down (though No Mitther kinda counter Exposed, and IH for huntress still needs a fix, but ya know.)
I don't like watching my teammate faceplant in a beartrap on an exit switch, get hooked, and still escape because of them having decisive. I feel the frustration of the killer, and sometimes the leave. I don't like playing an unfair game that I must limit myself in order for the game to be fun.
I can't even voice my complaints because people will cry killer main and disregard my points.

You cannot quantify enjoyment. If survivors had more challenging skill requirements, Freddy wouldn't be getting nerfed, because facing him would be a proper skill match-up instead of mashing heads against generators to push through a slow.
