there's exactly 25 pallets on Gideon. When scary amount of them are unbelievably godlike, and good chunk of them are super safe.
There's no mindgames from survivors, just running from pallet to pallet, predropping and going for the next one. Unless you're a killer that can get rid of pallets quickly/can skip them or use them against survivors, you're gonna have a bad time
-
Imo the one change, which is simple, but would change A LOT...
Just make her blink attacks as not count as m1 attacks.
-
I always assume BW. It's one of the reason people 99% gates.
But i usually run Distortion, it saved me from BW many times
-
I don't really have any killers that i hate mechanics of, just to hate the killer itself.
I'm more like i don't like good players when i'm not that good.
I LOVE facing mediocre Nurses, but I will cry and throw tantrum when a pro Nurse folds me. But even then i'm not really mad at them, but at myself not being good enough, and at the matchmaking for not letting me play with people of my potato level.
My favorite killers to face, no matter their lvl, are definitely Hilbilly (curve Billy specifically), Bubbas and Legions. I'll never get bored of them, keep them coming <3
(Deathslingers can eat rocks tho, but i'm still not mad at them xD )
-
That's the point, it is supposed to be horror game anyway, but when was the last time you got actually jumpscared? Unless it was a mirror Myers, chances you got scared are slim.
Dredge is a nice refresher <3
-
Jakes and Quentins have an absolute immunity from me..
Honorable mention: baby Leon mains. They all share one braincell and aren't the brightest, I just can't bring myself to hurt them. Like one time i snuffed one baby Leon's boon in front of him, he just looked at me, looked at the totem, looked down and went to the corner and didn't move from there until i forced him to. How I'm supposed to hurt this little ray of sunshine ;-;
-
My top 3 are
Deathslinger - I hate him with passion, and his mains need to go outside sometimes, but god damn his chase music slaps so hard.
Doctor - Overall terror of the character, madness effects can give you that spike of adrenaline. His panic inducing chase music is just a cherry on top. Extremely well made killer, i'll never get bored of him.
Legion - Their rework brought the best terror radius and chase music ever. No matter how many times I hear it, i can't get enough of it. But for those Legion players who play that stupid oblivious addon - burn in hell, i want to bop to the music
-
(staying in proximity of hooked survivor makes points go away, i hope you took that into calculations)
but yeah, getting only brown emblem is weird
-
no one will use BT anyway, there's one, waaaay longer "bt" after unhook, aka OTR
-
Both Self Care and Ruin didn't need those changes, an absolute overkill and people who'll proceed to use those after nerf, gonna be a target for laughs xD
-
Hexes are meant to be powerful, but risky, high risk, high reward, you can lose it anytime.
With Ruin's addition to the survivor's death, it shouldn't be a hex anymore. It won't be a threat anyway, regression speed is a joke, even from survivor POV. I'll laugh if someone will use it after nerf, same goes for Self Care for survivors.
-
If the kill rates will increase with this crazy af buff for survivors,
I'll lose any hope there is for survivors, when it comes to utilizing perks.
OTR alone is so stupidly powerful, and yet you still can get so many additional endurances. Endurance status cannot be bypassed even by 1-shot killers.
Survivors will face nothing but Nurses or Blights, but I think even Blights won't be thrilled to face the incoming "hit me million times to finally down me" meta.
And for exchange killers got a crap ton of kicking buffs, when no sane killer will kick a gen and lose precious time doing so. Regression from kicks won't matter, if I can take a killer for an infinite chase with all the power I got, and just let my teammates do their job. 10s more to do a gen is nothing, when prove thyself wasn't changed, and Overzealous (that was perfectly fine it is now, i run it, it's great) got buffed too.
Yes, I will abuse the incoming endurance meta, I would be stupid if I wasn't. But I hope my future solo Q teammates will use their last braincells to abuse it too. Not to rub your victory to the killer's face. But to show bhvr how STUPID of an idea is to give survivors so many invincibilities.
"Ah yes, let's rework the additional health state meta perk, by making it an additional health state perk, and making other perks an additional health state perks"
-
Because they refuse to learn how to play vs a killer that's different than Trapper/Wraith.
I personally LOVE facing Legions.
People's excuse is "ooga booga he's a mending simulator". Only if you suck at the game and let him.
Learn to dodge killer's attacks? Learn how to spin the Legion?
There's many ways to take Legion out of the power, it just takes some effort to LEARN the counterplay.
I personally don't play Legion, never will, but they're one of my favorites to face after the rework.
So my Legion mains out there, I love you, and don't let those lazy salty people get to you <3
-
Down them, pick them up and walk around carrying them like a backpack.
Or just kill them, your choice.
-
He needs some buffs, but i fully understand if he won't get any, hard to make him stronger without making him completely busted. He's a pretty basic killer, but his mains are SCARY.
-
As a Pinhead enjoyer, i'll try to help you as much as I can:
- Pinhead's biggest strength are solo Q survivors with mentality "someone else will do it".
- Solving the box is easy if you know how. If you do it during chain hunt, DODGE the chains, they come in waves of 3 chains and then there's a break, it's for solving the box. You have to dodge them, if you get hit by any, the wave resets. 2nd way is to have someone bodyblock for you, but if you're solo Q, it's hard to find altruistic teammates.
- If you can loop, take Pinhead for a ride, he's easier to loop than it looks. Also because he's super tall, it's easy to see him over some loops. Break chains immediately if they hit you, so Pinhead won't catch up to you.
Also if you meet a Pinhead on Garden of Joy, you can just give up, cube spawns are broken there, and chain hunt is unavoidable
I would highly recommend trying to play him too, it can help you understand him a bit more too, so you can play mindgames with him
-
Oh boy, I got quite a few. I was a survivor only main for ages, and I absolutely DESPISED most of the killers.
When I had to play killer from time to time, I only played Huntress, cuz it was the only killer I had respect for.
Killer reworks were the moments for me when I gave killers a chance...
Doctor rework - God he pissed me off, his power is annoying, he won't let you do stuff, overall walking menace to society... And when I gave him a try, I realized that's what feels the best on him. I became the very thing that pissed me off, and still pisses me off to this very day, but damn he's satisfying to play..
Freddy's rework - I absolutely HATED facing him, he was beyond busted and unfair... So if you can't beat them, join them. Oh boy I regret touching him, I got completely sucked in and he was my main for months. Now after he got overnerfed, I don't play him as much, he's still my guilty pleasure killer, despite him being probably on the lowest possible tier.
Bubba rework - probably the most hated killer, I hated looping him, I hated his stereotypes, I hated his power, I hated everything about him. NOW he's my nr 1 main. Playing him is what made me learn how to counter him, I don't get tilted when facing him anymore, I'm even excited when I see a Bubba as my killer.
After those 3 i learned to never judge a killer until you play it yourself, so from ex survivor only main, i became a killer main :D
-
Awfully lot more in Solo Q than in swf xD i'd say 60-70%
In SWF i tend to die for my friends, cuz altruism is a best killer perk. But in solo Q i don't feel the pressure of sacrificing myself to randoms. I still help them, but i won't overdo it
-
I thought it was my controller acting up, i've had this problem for a while now. And playing event been nearly impossible for me
It's impossible to run on controller sometimes, and i tried rebinding to another buttons (in case that button was stuck or something)
I'm glad that someone else has this problem, at least i know that the problem isn't on my side ;-;
-
only activated bear trap will kill you at the gate. If it was put on him during end game, he was safe

I'm stubborn to drop a chase if i want to chainsaw...
Fite me rn, 1v1 curveboi billy
As much as I'd love to, I have to refuse. I can't take chases seriously in customs, I need the actual game going around me to make decisions where to go and where not.
But if we ever meet in regular game, I'll take you for a ride with pleasure
-
Corn sucks on most of the killers
-
I LOVE facing curve Billys, but it may be because I actually know how to run them.
A lot of people tend to dc vs killers they refuse to learn how to play against, but i wouldn't care less.
I can get my cheeks absolutely clapped and i'll take it as learning experience, leaving the game early won't teach me anything.
So no, i don't hate Billy in any shape and form. Billy players are a super rare sight nowadays anyway, i'll cherish every single one of them i'll meet, I just wish they didn't gave up so easily on chases :(

They should have been more clear."Once you've completed your personal goal , you can safely switch to a new challange''. From that you just understand that you should be able to move to next tome challange
ye, they kinda worded it badly
-
they didn't mean to move to the next community challenge, but next challenge overall, cuz a lot of people were staying selected on community challenges in hopes they could contribute more than their personal one, but it was confirmed they can't
-
Walls are his biggest enemy, learn to loop and use them against him.
Bubba is what separates good players from bad ones.
Bad survivors, who refuse how to learn how to play vs him call him op, when in reality he's not even close to being one of the strongest.
And most of the high skill survivors love facing Bubba, because chasing him is fun once you learn how to spin him and hug walls.
As a Bubba main, i'll tell you that i never got a single hate comment for playing him in my 2k+ hours. It's just a skill issue.
If you ever want to, I'm always available for people, a lot of folks i meet get to love Bubba once i show them that chases with them can be easy

Being deepwounded doesn’t count as losing a health state (unless you went from healthy straight to injured w/ deepwound, like with legion/slinger). This is consistent with other perks that trigger on health state loss such as blood favor.
However, it does count as a health state for healing purposes (eg. adrenaline will remove deepwound and leave you injured).
thanks for clearing that up for me
-
When i was unocking all perks on my Huntress, BBQ was the VERY LAST one to appear. I was mad xD
-
I say the same since this perk was shown. This perk isn't bad by its own, but the fact that it just tells survivors it's active is stupid.
I can see entitled survivors jumping on this topic and crying how op it would be if it didn't show itself.
It would be like Spirit Fury. You'd fall for it only once. And if in swf, your teammates would be more careful too when given a warning
-
i PREFER killer, but it's such an ungrateful role that I feel forced to play survivor more, and i hate it how easy survivor games are, but i need to get the rank going
-
there's also one corpse in basement, so i don't think it's observer, unless it's his multiple versions from different timelines
-
It's a COMMUNITY challenge, you can't progress to the next challenge alone, the whole community has to finish that quest to complete it.
You can contribute only 40 and it was confirmed that you cannot contribute more. So basically you need 750 000 players to do this challenge.
There's definitely not enough players for that. We won't get past any of those challenges.
-
their hopes went really too high if they think that there's 750 000 ACTIVE players, that will also complete this challenge.
Yeah, there's like around 90-100k active people from steam only, but that's not even close. I don't think other platforms can cover even the half of it
Those challenges need to be changed to count after meeting personal goal, or we won't get past 1st challenge, not even speaking of the rest of them
-
Feng is literally the best starting character.
Alert - Will teach you about awareness a lot.
Lithe - Introduces you to exhaustion, and provides a quick escape, which is great for new players that don't want to engage yet. and you have full control over it, unlike Sprint burst everyone seem to recommend, and it's not a beginner friendly perk
Technician - Perk that shouldn't be even an unlockable perk, it should be available from start and recommended to every new player, to help them get used to doing gens, without alerting the killer if something goes wrong.
Her petite model allows for stealthy plays, when she's pretty quiet herself.
And Spark of Madness should be the free dlc on every platform, not only on console.
Doctor himself is super noob friendly too, but doesn't fit this topic cuz his perks are garbage XD
-
Third Seal and Huntress Lullaby. Those hexes tend to be ignored, cuz they're not harmful, right?
Unless they start to take effect and the panic gets you killed.
For survivors i WISH people knew about existence of For the People. Imagine how beautiful it would be if For the people was meta, like played by everyone, expected by everyone, UNDERSTOOD by everyone.
This perk is unreal good, but his biggest weakness is that no one you use it on, knows about it's existence. Outside swf, helping someone with for the people will end with the picked up person being afk and processing what just happened and they'll just get downed again.
Honorable mention: Distortion. If you play in swf, the amount of info this perk provides is stupid. And with careful usage of stacks, you're able to save yourself from really sticky situations. It's not a perk everyone should use tho, it's best used by 1 person in swf and passing the info to others

What distance are you referring to? Him being able to hold is “ power “ indefinitely while using his anti-loop?
yes, It's fine for anti loop, but It's kinda sad when they hide the remnant near hooked person and use it as camping tool, when their body goes out patrolling.

Wait, what locker aura? When do survivors see the aura of lockers?
I think he is perfectly fine, I don't think he needs any buffs personally. The limited teleport movement speed outside of Nightfall is needed, since his map pressure is already really good. You shouldn't be able to traverse the map too fast as well. He still has some mindgame potential with lockers in chase if they are very close to him, maybe only being seperated by a wall.
I also don't think a Dredge would ever want to hold his power for too long, since he is slower than a survivor while doing so, so I don't think a time limit is needed. It doesn't help too much with camping either since survivors can just destroy the remnant by running into it.
It's hard to call it differently than aura, it's not the typical aura reading, i mean the aura around the locker, that purple-ish mist
-
Because entitled survivors never expect that they're gonna be slapped with uno reversed card XD
-
holding the game hostage isn't a way to play

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/328488/survivors-can-we-play-this-event-normally
I just keep getting matches where people refuse to use the new offerings, mainly survivors. Ive had 4 matches in a row where people refuse to use Frightful Flan. 2 of which had 4 Escape Cakes. I play pretty chill, dont even use slowdown perks either, but Ive been treated like absolute garbage this entire event, almost every game a guy on PlayStation has chewed me out for tunneling and camping when I literally never tunnel and camp at all. People just need to chill a bit.
I don't even go into games with planning of killing anyone, i'll do 8 hooks and they can go if they want, but I wish i didn't need to play for 20 min of hide and seek
-
@Jaxton2000 said:
This can be said both ways.
Killers can also chill out during this event too lol.
It's just a full chaos.
Killers are playing normally, I played few survivor games too. And they were regular games, deaths and escapes, you shouldn't expect killers to go easy. They want the points too. Play like you always would

haha so you're the one who made it impossible for me to put in a CoH! 😒😉
lol but seriously, I can feel the panic and regret in your story. And hey, you fixed it for the team so good job 👍
And I'm sure the Artist was finding the totems like, "Oh, nooooo... another broken totem? This is terrible! Whatever shall I do? My NOED . . ."
I don't have time for boons, If i'm destroying totems, it means ALL totems are going.
(I do ask in lobby beforehand if they are booners, so don't worry)

You can destroy Nemesis zombies with Head On.
WAIT, FR? omg, 2k hours in this game and didn't think of such basic thing to check
-
Don't forget the Garden of "JOY".
And the Pallet Town of Gideon :v
There's some killers i like Dead Dawg on, there's some killers that make Corn likeable, but those two... I don't know a single killer who's thrilled to be on those two
-
For me a lot depends on the side i'm playng.
As a survivor
i'd sell my left kidney to play vs a cracked curve Billy or good Trickster/Blight/Pinhead/Twins/PH/Bubba. I love the thrill of chases with them. Even if I lose, it's an another experience to my skill, and i can try again next time i meet a good player like them.
But if it's cracked nurse, i won't even try, because there's no point in trying. I do have mad respect for her players, cuz i know she's not easy to learn. But I don't feel like trying to out-mindgame a mastermind. There's nothing that past experiences vs them can help me in future use, cuz nurse doesn't play by any rules, she makes her own.
As a Killer
we have to define good players here. Cuz i don't think that 4-man genrush build team are good players. Game will end in 2 min and no one will get many points for that, so what's the point. 4-man clickers who think they're good but then proceed to get killed by their altruism? That's not it.
I main probably the most hated killers in the game, aka Bubba and Doctor, and the reality of matches as them is sad. Game starts, survivors see what killer it is, 1-2 DC on spot, i finish off the rest of survivors to just end the game quickly and move to the next one. It takes me like 20-30 games to find one game where everyone will stay in the game without DC/Suicide on hook.
But then that one star of a game happens, you get a team that's not scared of you, team that knows your killer and how to run you. They proceed to give you the absolute chase of your life. Do i get kills or they will escape? It doesn't matter, all that matters that they were absolutely freaking good, they gave me an actual challenge in the sea of easy games. Sometimes i'll end up with 2 kills, sometimes i'll manage to kill them all, but sometimes i won't get a single sacrifice, but i'll end the game EXTREMELY satisfied no matter the outcome. And the best part is, those survivors are NEVER mad at me or throw salt in the end game chat.
In conclusion, there's no better feeling than a challenging match-up. Good players are always a good sports after the game too. That 1 in 30 game makes me still wanna play, they get me hyped up and give me energy to wait for another meeting like that.
-
I'm a totem goblin, I cleanse totems super fast at the start of the game.
One time i managed to cleanse ALL totems before even getting a sight of what killer is it.
The way my heart dropped after I cleansed last totem, and on my way to a gen I passed an Artist going the way I came from. She didn't care about hitting me, she just went straight for the totem spot.
This ALMOST cost me the game. I managed to cleanse one of already 4 standing pentimentos before she activated the 5th one.
I did die fixing my mistake, cleansed them all and rest of my teammates managed to escape, but that was the most panic inducing mistake of my life
-
For me m1 killer = killer that cannot down you with their power.
With exception of Nurse, cuz i think we all can agree that her blink hits shouldn't count as m1
-
From my survivor POV he definitely needs a buff :v
He has chance to be a really high tier killer, but he's so predictable that after 3-4 games, it's hard to be outplayed by him.
I'd delete his locker aura, cuz he already makes so much noise that the additional indicator seems useless. Or turn down the noise a bit.
Also his teleport speed outside of nightfall is a joke. He's supposed to juke you by using lockers, but it takes him ages to get into one.
The only thing i would maybe nerf from him is the distance he can travel after leaving the remnant, cuz no limit kinda sucks, usually killers have their power gauge depleted when using power
-
I'm surprised no one mentions Leon here. Like his moans are the most lewd thing you can hear in this game.
There's nothing more weird to listen than multiple Leons healing each other xD

- The Dredge is mostly made out of hands. And looks like Cucumber the Conquerer.
- It's raining in Midwich.
- You can hear the ticking of the mechanism in the RPD 'emblem' lion.
- A certain car in the Autohaven maps will play the sound of someone pounding on the trunk from the inside.
- The RE 'safe room' music plays in RPD, near the typewriter on the second floor.
I didn't need to know the 4th one...
