  • Scratched Mirror Myers is the only option. I got used to all jumpscares in this game, except this one...

  • Dbd is that type of horror that's scary for first days when you start playing.

And then, when you think you got used to it, there's Scratched Mirror Myers to remind you that this game is still a horror

I've been trying to 'adjust' to his changes, but it feels like the only way to do so is to have really amazing internet and for all the survivors to have the same. Otherwise you get revealed by fresh air at times.

the reveal is super weird now, like when i'm survivor and i just catch a glimpse of GF, it'll proceed to fully reveal him even tho i broke the line of sight or he hidden himself.

  • I want to say worse, but it's hard to judge when everyone try to play him the same as they did before.

He feels worse if you play him the same way.

He feels okay if you adjust to his changes.

But he doesn't feel better in any way.

Legion turned out to be an absolute bomb of a rework, Ghostface got the short end of the stick

  • Twins got killed a long time ago. Not counting this latest patch, i heaven't seen Twins for MONTHS. After this patch, people will just do challenges and Twins will die out again.

  • I'd love to see some kind of killer based on Weeping Angels.

It could be like they could move only when you're not looking at them, but to make it balanced, keeping your gaze on them for too long would injure you.

Looping them would be interesting, cuz you would be able to stop them anytime you'd like, but you can't overdo it, and can't really run with looking behind you, gotta go full for feeling

  • I bought my brother DBD and his very first match as survivor got him facing a completely CRACKED Huntress. Like Umbra/Coconut lvl. I just sat there and watched him being completely obliterated.

First killer match ended before he even figured out movement and got to the 1st gen. Ofc he got completely BMed at the gate, cuz that's what full swf red ranks do. (it was all quite a long time ago, during old ranks, but it still matters imo)

Like how new players are supposed to learn.

Idk, just add gamemodes vs bots that's not only a tutorial (which is a garbage). And DON'T introduce Trapper as a tutorial killer? Don't mark him as easy, when he's clearly not.

I get that he's the face of DBD, but he's not a noob-friendly killer.

  • From killer POV: When I play a killer that's not a top tier Nurse/Blight/etc, I can't play without full slowdown build or the game will end before i'll walk up to 1 gen.

As for my survivor games, i'm completely handicapped without BT. Every other perk can be an absolute clown meme fiesta and the games will just fly by, cuz playing survivor is so easy

    1. Claudette (but replaced with Clowndette works perfectly :P )
    2. Myers
    3. Chest (i understand where it comes from, but i would like to tell my teammates i want to open them for challenges, please)

And then it proceeds to leave uncensored the actual bad words ???

  • Jeryls - An absolute GODS at the game. They'll sacrifice everything to save you, they're always prepared for everything.

Cybils - Never had a good experience with them, they always act like they're new to the game, but it's not possible, cuz who would buy dlc and a skin if they were new.

Lisas - the most altruistic people you'll ever see, they really take being a nurse to another lvl. Great roleplay, 10/10, i want more of them.

Cheryls on it's own are usually either really good players of absolute goofballs, but games with them are never boring. And i don't know a single person who thinks that Cheryl has a bad stereotype :D

  • I don't mind the goofy cheaters, like the famous flying minigun Ghostface Huntress, that just took survivors to the sky with him.

Or the ones that make the game have multiple killers and they just fight with each other to amuse survivors.

But the cheaters that hold the game hostage or just destroy the match completely, those ones can go to hell

  • "That was an amazing game" feeling after finished game. Doesn't matter if my whole team dies when i'm survivor or if i don't kill anyone as killer.

Sometimes games feel like crap when we all escape when i'm playing survivor. Sometimes games feel like crap when i kill everyone as killer.

If a game will go the way of me giving everything i had, and i have a feeling that everyone else gave everything they got, it was a win.

When it feels like it was an even battle, it's a win.

  • Same here, I can't run my triple rainbows now :(

  • don't they spawn during EGC?

Your honor, I plead guilty of the crime of being horny.

    Same 😏

It's not my fault they made Herman so hot

  • Distortion is my all time favorite perk and when i think that it would be nice to have more charges, it's pretty fine like that.

As a buff I would add notification that killer can see your aura, like it does when it consumes a token, but it would continue doing that without hiding your aura anymore.

I use Distortion as an information perk when in SWF.

I use it carefully, like i always assume that Killer has BBQ so i hide in locker to not lose a charge, so later i can inform my friends if killer has a Nurse's calling, Blood Warden, I'm all Ears, Flood's of Rage, etc.

  • I both love and hate Nurses.

I love when they are newbies or mediocre, cuz the games will be chill. I might die or not, don't really care, but those games are really fun.

And then there's THAT type of Nurse player. The one that didn't see the sun in years. The one that will get my cheeks clapped. I fear those. Don't get me wrong, ima be still absolutely freakin cool about it, cuz it's an honour to meet those, BUT i do have dc thoughts when being absolutely obliterated like that xD

Thankfully my experiences with Nurses is that 9/10 games with them they're mediocre, like good, but they're not gods (yet)

  • I know the game since it released, cuz I've watched a ton of youtubers playing it, but i only bought it years later, It was after Oni release, i think it was literally the day Doctor rework dropped. Also Ruin rework appeared around those days too. Kinda miss it

  • Sadako, cuz you can just phase through a survivor that tries to bodyblock you from tunneling

  • Doctor, I have an unhealthy obsession over him, both gameplay-wise and lorewise.

He's the most perfect idea of madness incarnate I've ever seen in the "mad doctor" genre.

  • @MinlerDemon said:

Give her walk through pallet and walls.

This wouldn't be a stupid idea if she could pass through them, she can pass through survivors, why she can't phase through stuff she can destroy anyway

  • I have some ideas:

    1. Make Hexes "claim" the totem after like 30s or more from the start of the game. They wouldn't work in that time, so survivors wouldn't have to stress about early Haunted Grounds cleanse or something.
    2. Same as 1st, but make Totems overall spawn later, so they cannot be tracked immidiately.
    3. Introduce a perk that works kinda like Grim Embrace or Thrilling Tremors, but with protection over totems (or just add it to those perks, idk)
    4. Rework totem spawns completely, cuz on some maps (cough... Macmillan...cough) they're literally a joke for both boons and hexes. No one wants their totem on top of a hill or in the middle of the open space with 1 tree around
  • *flashbacks to old Elodie screams* please don't, spare my ears

  • I'm a both SWF and solo Q enjoyer, and let me just say, i would PAY to not get matched with SWFs when i'm in solo Q.

I'd rather have a lobby full of randoms, cuz there's a higher chances that i'll actually get any help from them than from 3-man SWF i got thrown into, cuz they'll leave me to die 9/10 times.

It should be an option for both sides to not want to be matched with SWFs

  • Condemnation should be more threatening. Like make it build up passively, but slower than when holding a tape.

Or make it that survivor is exposed when the bar is full.

Legit my gameplay vs her is to collect a tape as soon as possible, turn off all tvs and return the tape. She's chasing me because I'm full, but I can just put the tape back right in front of her, cuz there's literally no threat.

Yeah, there's been some Sadako players that absolutely clapped me, but never condemnation was a threat.

There's been 3 instances where I've been accused of hacking on legion because I found them with killer instinct keep in mind these people had 1000+ hours so I don't know if they were trolling or genuinely had no idea how it works

I've seen legions being screamed at for that so many times XD Their power isn't THAT hard to understand

  • I think they should bring back the bouquet offerings, but make them more balanced

  • @OpenX said:

Leprose Lichen gets me called a wallhacker a lot. "How did you just know where I was???"

Hard to admit, but I'm guilty of that XD I didn't know about it for a long time

  • @PlaysByShady said:

Been accused many times of wall hacks thanks to aura reading perks, etc. I stream rarely, so was able to capture the moment on one occasion when someone was convinced there was no way I should know where they were, and no amount of explaining how BBQ works would satisfy them

    https://clips.twitch.tv/SpotlessSwissNikudonMcaT-fu9J1msnDXrPXAIS

I never thought I would see a need to explain a BBQ for anyone :v It's like the most common aura perk in existence

  • Killer:

    • Huntress Lullaby: people ignore it too much, thinking it's not harmful, but it makes them panic in the end.

    • Mad Grit: Just because people STILL somehow don't understand this perk. The amount of times it got me called a cheater.

    • Coup de Grace: It really just causes a brain fart in some survivors, they'll just stop to think what just happened there

    • Coulrophobia: can cause A LOT of chaos

    • Dark Devotion: Cuz it's way too fun on Legion.

    • Stridor: Tired of loud af noises that Bill and Ash make? Let's make them LOUDER

    • Grim Embrace: Cuz it can turn the tables really quick, super underrated

    Survivor:

    • Desperate measures: it really takes group heals to another lvls of speed

    • For the People: Cuz that second of killer cooldown to attack is more than enough to save someone's life. I don't have the time to set up a flashlight and just take the possibility of it not working. I'm jumping in immediately.

    • Distortion: Once you learn how to save the stacks to not lose them on obvious perks, it can save you from many things. I can't even count times it saved me from Blood Warden.

    • Empathic Connection: may be my new most favorite perk, cuz in solo Q you don't really have a way to tell someone where you are to heal them, this is such a game changer.

    • Repressed Alliance/Merciless Storm (yes, I treat it as a survivor perk, cuz it's a better repressed alliance): Killer has pop and your gen is close to finishing? lock the gen, lure the killer away and let someone else finish the gen

Does the Discordance perk icon stay unlit when it’s not in play either? I don’t know offhand.

Discordance icon lits up when it's on, so it's an indicator too ^^

  • okay, that was entertaining LMAO.

Sad thing is that i would probably fall for Head on too, since it's Jane lmao. But DC over it, that's a first

  • Discordance gives you a notification noise when it's activated, so when there's a sound of the gen you kicked and it's still yellow, it's discordance

  • TBH depends. If you're in a full 4-man swf, you can leave some hexes untouched as long as it doesn't disturb your friends.

But if there's even a 1 random person in lobby, cleanse everything as soon as you see it, cuz it's better to activate Haunted Grounds early than get them activated late by the person you can't control.

But also there's Devour hope, which may not appear until too late. A lot of killers can keep it a secret until 5th stack. So if you don't have other hexes in sight (2nd hex totem for Haunted Grounds), didn't have a pop up about any ruin/lullaby/etc, it's better to cleanse it too

  • Whenever i think about it, like put DBD into VR, stealthy killers come into my mind and i'm like NOPE, i'd rather to keep my pants clean

  • Me and my friends had same problem with many killers, and i found a stupid solution for that.

Don't use your power. Like no kidding. The game punishes you if you use your power.

We could have an absolutely FLAWLESS games, but didn't get the adept. Only after going stupid M1 mode we got the adepts

  • when DS appears on very late part of the circle and you have the new wiggling turned on, the wiggle will replace it too soon, EXPECIALLY on Sadako, since her picking up animation is weird.

It's normal if you have the old wiggle system tho.

It needs to be fixed, cuz you can lose DS a lot of the times

  • It censored for me Claudette, so i replaced it with Clowndette. Works the same, highly recommend XD

I could actually believe that due to the fact that Herman was always a person to push boundaries for results. Maybe he pushed the boundaries a lil too far when he entered here.

Also he's the type of person to play with his food, so I can see it like he wanted more of the actual torture than killing.

  • Pinhead is only OP vs full Solo Q lobby, where everyone has the "someone else will do it" mindset. Get anyone who knows what they're doing and he's not op anymore.

I had MULTIPLE people to die on me when i was playing as Pinhead, just because they decided to BM at the gate till the timer was too low and the Chain Hunt was on, so they got denied exit.

People lack basic brain functions when facing him xD

  • please don't, Deathslinger players are terrifying ;-;

  • Make Shadowborn baseline, and then rework the perk itself to turn the vision a bit brighter (not like Freddy's daylight-bright, but a bit brighter), it would fit the name of the perk, like a person who was living in the darkness can see better in it

  • It's probably a form of "encouragement" from Entity.

Cuz Doctor is definitely down to have some fun in Entity's realm. But probably was stubborn to follow it's rules

    Hey all,

I recently decided to return to DBD after a fairly long hiatus. I got really burnt out on the game early last year and hadn't really played much until yesterday/today.

    My experience has been...well, awful.

My survivor games have gone fine. Fairly average, I escape some, die others.

My killer games though? They feel entirely unbalanced. I've not managed to get more than a 1k in my killer matches. When I played this game a lot, I hovered around rank 6. Not the best killer, but not bad. I cannot reliably get more than a kill or two now. I'm a bit rusty, sure, but I've been booted all the way back to the lowest rank, every match I've joined, at least 3 survivors are between ranks 1-3. I know rank doesn't necessarily indicate skill, but it still shows time investment.

How am I, after being knocked all the way back to the lowest rank, going against this level of survivor? And they are all good, map knowledge on point, optimal looping (most of the time), splitting up to do generators, rocking most of the strongest perks from across multiple characters.

I'm happy to see that DBD matchmaking thinks I can somehow stand a chance against these survivors, nice vote of confidence, but I'm not at that skill level, even when I was playing the game every day.

Is this just how matchmaking for killer is now? Am I having bad luck as a returning player?

I want to keep playing, I enjoy playing killer more, but this is getting very disheartening to be stomped every match.

    Thanks for reading.

I got crushed after my return too, I quit 2 weeks after Twins got released and came back after Artist came out.

Got all the missing DLCs to get my perk collection back to full and just looked at what changed. Ranks looked weird, but i've heard they're meaningless now, so let's jump in, a bouncy baby killer touching their old main after ages.

I didn't expect to win any of my matches, since I kinda forgot everything. I knew that every killer had their own skill rating, since it was the reason they locked swapping them in lobby (which is stupid, by the looks of today's ruthless matchmaking), and by picking my main i knew i asked for beating.

I didn't expect a win, or even a hook, but I expected the game to last more than 3 min? Like I remember that gens take like 80s to complete without speed-ups, and I didn't remember any gen-speed perks coming out except the older ones. Games feel 10x shorter than they were ages ago. And it went on for like 20 games in a row.

As a survivor tho my games were stupidly easy, i hit the highest rank in few hours. I got rank-ups sometimes for literally nothing (being afk for some reason and killer pushed me out of the gate).

I feel literally forced to play survivor now to have ANYTHING out of the game. And those entitles survivors only cry how the game is killer sided. I can literally play any stupid/meme/troll build on survivor and still win without even sweating, and on killer good luck doing something if you're not playing 3-4 slowdown perks or you main Nurse\Blight, cuz they're immune to survivor BS.

I just wish i could go back to playing my old main without being completely obliterated. I didn't touch Killer for weeks now, cuz I don't see the point, the 2h torture on killer will give me the same amount of points as 20 min on survivor.

Playing killer should be more rewarding than survivor, at least just to make people want to pick the killer more

  • All hypermobile killers like Nurse/Hilbilly/Oni/Blight.

I simply cannot grasp their speed, I think slower than they just go. I don't think that I'll ever be able to play them good enough to even call it a gameplay.

The ONLY thing I can do is some SkyBilly's tricks, but it doesn't teach me anything about his normal gameplay XD

Since, I'm on console, I'm not familiar with how steam names work -- are you the only person who can have that name on steam?

If so, then I'm pretty sure I went against you a little while back (I'm not 100% sure -- my memory isn't what it used to be, lol, but I think that was the name). I was streaming, playing one of the killers I struggle with (Huntress), and I laughed when I saw the name. I brought a green Mori just for the person and did indeed get the Mori on them.

If that was you, I do remember that everyone played well, it was fun, and I hope you had fun as well. If it wasn't you, I never run Moris and have a pretty good supply of them on everyone -- I'll make sure to bring one if I see you, lol. 😁

On steam you can change your name whenever you want and there can be multiple players with the same name. I'm mostly playing Yui, so if you'll see me, say hi xD

  • I love running them both on Doctor xD

✔ Scream from hook, looking around from BBQ, see nothing

✔ Another 2 screams from Static Blast.

    i'm missing one, hmmm...

    wait for it...

    wait for it....

✔ 4th scream located from locker and now target acquired, cuz they're exposed

It's stupidly op on Doctor if someone doesn't run Calm Spirit, and let's be honest, this perk is never seen outside people doing Jake adept.

It needs to be fused with another perk to make it playable.

  • If you play distortion, you're able to play around every single one of my favorite perks. You have to be careful to not lose all stacks on one perk tho :D

  • @xBlitzAce1989x said:

No more Autohaven or Swamp... I'm just dreaming. Whenever someone brings Azarov's Key or Grandma's Cookbook, I just sigh and think, "Why would anyone ever bring those offerings..." When I first started playing two years ago it really didn't matter. But now, I'm over both offerings/ maps because of how often I get sent to both.

*sad Azarov and Swamp enjoyer noises*

  • Survivors tend to dc when the game doesn't go how they want it to go, like "HoW dArE yOu pLaY LiGhTbOrN", since they're making Flashlight their entire personality. Or when they DC cuz they were the first to be downed.

I had people DC because my steam name is "Mori me, Daddy" and killer actually brought Mori (shoutout to the amazing Trickster from yesterday :* )

I had people DC just because they saw the kliller being Bubba/Pinhead, cuz you know, they aren't supposed to actually try to play around all the killers.

My all time favorite is when people DC on their death hook. Like ???? Take your points dude, what's the point if you're already dead.

So yeah, survivor's rulebook for killers, you can't play perks, certain killers, you can't hit and hook survivors, go to corner and think about what you've done
