  • If we ever get the neon map from Trickster's background menu, i will be satisfied forever

  • It censored me saying Claudette or Myers, but didn't censor an actual swear words, I can't tell my teammates in lobby that i'm gonna open chests for quest cuz it won't let me say it.

So the DBD censor is a huge clown fiesta xD

I've just done the four man rancor mori challenge from Ohtofu. Yes, i need the first survivors to make mistakes and the last to accept to stun me (thank you so much by the way). But i did it. My build was: rancor/ nemesis/ no way out and knock-out. The addons were rules set n°2 and jigsaw's sketch. The map was Ormond. Knock-Out didn't do much to be fair...

Maybe Remember me instead of Knock Out? Since you focus on your obsession, they won't open the door once they're available

  • Killers: I started with Doctor, cuz i got an unhealthy crush on him, but now i'm playing mostly Bubba, because i enjoy to look at the pure "IDK WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO DO" in survivors. Doesn't matter the rank, they always enter the panic mode.

Learning Nemesis and Artist now, we'll see which one will give me the same feelings.

Survivors: Jake and Yui, because they got the best outfits together with not being too loud. If i wanted only cosmetics i would go for BHVR's favorite, Feng, but her voice is like you stepped on a mouse

  • Ash and Bill. Like damn, even Iron Will won't fix their loud af breathing. I find it hilarious when they try to be stealthy when i'm the killer and i just hear their characters breathing like they're fighting for air

  • For me it's usually Huntress/Nurse/Blight. In older times it would be Spirit too, but her players sadly disappeared.

I don't mind it though, but ngl, i get very excited if it's something else. I haven't seen Myers in months.

Not even mentioning Trapper or Wraith, those ones i met last time before christmas i think.

I'm waiting for a moment to see Twins again, haven't seen them since they came out

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

No, please no. :( There will be so much Twins games. I can not handle it, i already hated this tome.

I'm looking forward to it. I faced twins like 3-4 times when they came out and not a single time since then. They're stupidly weak. If they won't get any buff, it's just gonna be easy games

  • I think it's intended or it counts dropping a flashbang as the "channeling", since (I think) all channelling actions make your collision disappear, like keys or Clairvoiyance

  • My all time favorite is when it censored Myers or Claudette for me XD

  • I dodge lobby if there's more than 1 flashlight, because i know they won't do a thing. It's like flashlights are their whole personality

  • @drsoontm said:

An addendum: it's kind of funny how some say Nurse ignores "the laws of the game" when she is part of the game and thus part of the laws. (Not specifically on this thread.) Instead they should say "ignores the laws they've made up for the game". Accuracy is key.

She takes the "survivor rulebook for killers" and shoves it back to their throats xD

  • I still chuckle when I see my man Doctor being labelled as "hard".

I've bought Spark of Madness for so many people just because of how stupidly easy he is. Noob friendly, super easy to learn and hard to counter. Doesn't really need any perks to make himself viable and only thing you can call hard for him is understanding his add-ons, cuz there's a lot to read.

And then I see Trapper labeled as "easy", when it's so hard to get any value from him. And he's supposed to be the killer that will teach you the game. I legit never met a Trapper player who knew what to do, they all just walk like headless chickens.

Spark of Madness should be the free dlc for all platforms, not only for console, both survivor and killer are great for complete newbies

  • this perk is an absolute nothing XD I main Basement (Chest Protector) Bubba and I would never think of putting it in that build. For me Insidious, Franklin, Noed and Blood Warden are enough to do the trick.

If they die too early, no one will pay me a visit anytime soon :(

  • I miss the old ranking system. It wasn't flawless, but it also wasn't as soul crushing as it is now.

Survivors only whine about the queue times, but they won't touch the killer to make it easier for everyone else.

When you play on high MMR you're almost forced to play unfun perks just to get any kills, because gens now pop like crazy and before you'll find first survivor, 2-3 gens will be already done.

And if you play those perks, you'll get to see the absolute entitlement of survivors later in end game chat.

Playing killer should give more profit than playing survivor, so more survivor mains would touch it and maybe understand that its not that easy.

When I'm playing survivor, I can literally throw the game and still win, because of million of second chances. I'm mostly a survivor player now, because game is so survivor sided, it's way easier to gain points that way.

As survivor I can try as many goofy builds as I want cuz ima win anyway. But when you play the killer without a ton of slowdowns, good luck in keeping the game longer than 5 min.

Even though I own all perks and characters on both sides, as a killer I can't play whatever I want if I want to rank up. I don't remember last time I've met Myers or Twins when playing survivor. It's all the time the same 2-3 killers, cuz not every killer has a kit which makes gaining ranks easier.

  • When I started playing, my hatred almost immediately went to Ash/Bill. Doesn't matter on which side I play on, I don't want to see them in game. They're so loud when NOT INJURED, it's stupid.

As a killer I'll legit take dedicated mori just for them.

Now after years I still hate them, but they're having quite a fight for the 1st place with Mikaela players. It's not about Boons, it's about them being reskinned Meg players who don't do anything in game

  • I absolutely despise Deathslinger, but I cannot deny that his chase music is an absolute masterpiece.

Also Doctor's chase music is so perfectly made, it just adds so much to the panic and madness.

  • Survivor: Distortion. I can't count the times it saved me from Blood Warden or wallhack addons. I only wish it had more charges.

For the People. Cuz I have no time for heals, get up and ruuuuun (+10 points if the person picked up has Soul Guard).

Killer: Lethal Pursuer. Probably the scariest perk to run on Nurse. It can end the game in seconds.

Grim Embrace: I only started appreciating this perk when doing Artist's adept, but fell in love with it afterwards. It won me so many games with that clutch pause mid-game

  • Because they both can deny most of the meta survivor perks, which focus around gaining distance from killer, which means nothing to those two.

Yes, those killers are incredibly strong, but for a price of being quite difficult. If difficult can even describe how frustrating Nurse gameplay can be.

Outplaying both of them is easy if they're mediocre players, but if you're against an OTP, who's mind and body is filled with a single thought of getting y'alls cheeks clapped, all you can do is just take it.

I'm never mad when I get outplayed by them. I may be an experienced survivor and killer with thousands of hours, but even I know when to admit defeat.

But for survivors it's just easier to cry about the game being "killer sided", where it's clearly not. They just can't accept that not always they're gonna have an advantage

  • Pinhead and Bubba are my top favorites

  • I've been using this one for quite a while:

    Hex: tra Thicc

  • I'll rat out a stealthy player if playing stealthy is all they do.

I don't mind it if you hide in the locker because you hear the killer incoming or someone is about to get hooked, so you hide from BBQ.

But if i see someone who's entire gameplay is going around the map on Urban Evasion and hiding in locker, not touching any gen, not trying to rescue (my absolute freaking favorite are people coming to the hooked person just to show them they're not going to take them off, cuz they're obviously waiting for hatch). It makes my blood boil.

When i'm a killer and i see that gens aren't going as fast as they're supposed to, and i didn't see a specific survivor for a longer time, i'll start looking for them and make sure they'll have a hell of a game. If you play like that, you could just dc, cuz you're as useful as gone.

But your gameplay is 100% valid, people shouldn't sandbag you over normal stealth

  • I don't really mind the funny hackers, like the famous Ghostface Huntress, which just goof around harmlessly, taking people for a ride around the Entity's realms skies.

I've had many flying Billies, being the absolutely fabulous falling stars from Macmillan's sky.

I've had 2 killer games, where they decided to fight against themselves, amusing their survivors.

But then there's the Epic Games cheaters, who got 1000 free DBD copies and decided to make everyone's lifes miserable, holding games hostage, crashing people's games, forcing people to DC and take the punishments they don't deserve.

I just finished playing DBD for today after having 6 games in a row with cheaters. 4 of them were flying Claudettes/Megs holding the game hostage, 1 of them was a flying Pinhead, and 1 was an AI Spirit who ended the game in like 20s.

It was just few games, but those happen every day to me and my friends. It's exhausting..

  • One of my mains is Doctor and Huntress. I absolutely love their playstyle, but oh boy i hate to face them. If i ever meet a Huntress that sold me a hatchet from the opposite side of the map, my friends have to hold me in game by force or i would just DC.

And then i'll just go play killer and proceed to do the stuff i hate when they do to me.

  • I didn't recieve the Jake headpiece either, and i logged in multiple times a day :v I have the Jake's jacket and nurse head, but not the Jake's headpiece

  • Bubba, Huntress and Doctor. Also started learning Artist and Pinhead, they're kinda fun

Strange, I unlocked it on Steam in October without any problems. Could a corrupt file be causing it? Sometimes I verify the integrity of the files, but I think the game automatically does that whenever there's an update, so it shouldn't be an issue.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/X7DF46E8V8LX/image.png

I installed DBD like in Feb after a loooong break, i don't think files may be the problem, cuz i'm getting all other achievements no problem.

And i REALLY hate Trapper too much to give it another try xD

I'll just leave it be, at least I achieved his adept after 6h of pain, that's all what matters for me :v

  • @AykDanroyd said:

Strange. What platform do you play on? It worked for me on Steam.

    I play on steam

  • @AykDanroyd said:

When I did Cripple Them All I had to pick them up while they were still trapped without downing them for it to count. Unlike the daily rituals which only requires them to step in your traps to gain progress.

Yeah, but as I said, I did both picking and downing. That progress from the screenshot is from when I started playing the game, like 3 years ago

  • @AykDanroyd said:

Did you pick them up as they're trapped or slug them into dying state & then picked them up? Because you're supposed to pick them up without slugging as they're still trapped or else you don't get credit.

I usually pick survivors up from traps, down them only when i run the padded jaws or i think they're about to break free.

But it shouldn't matter tho which way they're being picked up, since the achievement says to catch them IN a bear trap, not to pick them up from them

  • that many players and i still get the same lobby 5 times in a row xD

  • SOME kind of MMR existed in old ranking system. Not saying it was good, but it wasn't as soulcrushing as it is now.

Example: When i started playing, my first games as killer were vs ranks 20-17. Not so bad.

So not long ago i bought my brother DBD. His first game as a killer? Full lobby of Iridescent 1 swf players. First game as survivor? An absolute GOD of a Huntress, ofc rank 1 too.

Needles to say, he uninstalled after few games.

Me and my swf now, despite all of us being ranks 1-3 iridescent, get Ash 4, completely new killers too. Like how the hell they're supposed to learn and ENJOY the game if they're getting crushed like that.

2 years ago switching killers in lobby was turned off under a weak excuse of every of them having a separate skill rating, which is absolutely BS with today's MMR. Why killers can't switch but survivors can? It feels nice to be able to spend your BP on something else and then switch to something you actually want to play as.

Old MMR wasn't good, but definitely wasn't as bad as the one we have today

  • Distortion, it has to be my absolutely favorite SWF perk, the amount of info it gives is stupid.

It has a huge downside tho, which is it's charges. I'd give up the aura hiding for like 1 more charge. The info it gives is priceless.

    Also Huntress Lullaby.

Survivors ignore it, cuz it's not a dangerous perk, why cleanse it, since it doesn't have any impact, right? Except when you get a killer who knows how to pressure gens, the stress makes it really shine.

If there are deaf people playing this game, I have nothing but mad respect for them, Huntress Lullaby makes me completely useless xD

  • When i first read this topic, i was like nah, it's normal, people are just hearing things.

But i played as a killer today and the fact that Meg in locker was LOUDER than outside of it was stupid. I was able to tell where she was from very far away, when before you'd need to almost hug a locker to hear survivor inside.

  • I don't play swf 24/7 either, I'm just not excusing my laziness. Even if, my "swf" is 2 newbies learning the game and a killer main. We throw the games more than we win them.

I'll cleanse 4-5 totems per game if i'll get a chance too, but in red ranks thankfully it's common for me to see other people touching the bones.

It's not that hard to memorize totems spawns if you play on the same maps for like 100 times.

I fully understand if you can't find a totem when you're new, but god damn it, leave the excuses in your head if you're an experienced player.

I recently got a friend into dbd, she can't do skillchecks for her life, but she already remembered totem spawns in like 4 maps, when she has like 10h overall in game.

  • I've been called a hacker cuz i used Mad grit and walked around swinging like a mad lad.

Blood Warden gets me called a cheater like 9 out of 10 times it activates, cuz people don't read perks xD

So no worries, you're definitely safe

  • I think Twins would be more viable if throwing Viktor off you was actually needed. He should completely deny all actions besides running. Whenever I get the pleasure of having Viktor on my back, i just kidnap him, cuz Charlotte will never catch up to me, and the person playing the killer can either lose entire game just by trying to retrieve him, or they can become a M1 powerless killer.

Or just make it so you can manually take Viktor off someone so you don't lose him to a kidnapper.

I stopped even counting the amount of times i took him with me through the hatch, he feels so useless now, that's why Twins are such a rare sight now.

  • Feng is the best starter survivor in the game.

Like you just started and you don't know which survivor to pick, go for Feng.

Her perks will help you get started with awareness, exhaustion perks and repairing a gen without making a noise.

She should be a free option on pc, like she's on console.

Overall Spark of Madness is like the best starter dlc, you get a noob friendly survivor, and very easy to use killer

  • It's boring but needed. The same as you need BT, DH, DS. All of the 2nd chance perks we use are boring too, like i'd love to use something else than the same build 24/7 on survivor, but i need to use them if i want to not die in first 5 min of the game. Fun builds are allowed only in swf's when you protect each other, but try to do it without friends and still climb.

Killers, too, have perks they "have to" use to get better results to climb. It's not fun to run them either, but there's no choice if they're facing a full bully squad that will cry over any perk that killer has. Cuz killers are "supposed to play by survivors rulebook"

~ sincerely, a survivor main tired of other whiny, entitled survivors

  • I'm saying it as survivor main: NOED. Still as hex tho, to force lazy entitled survivors to touch bones.

You're not lazy to look for totems to place boons, why you're lazy to destroy them to prevent noed?

If you're against it, you're one of those people that think it's op, when it's fully counterable.

It should be a second objective to destroy totems. Either do it or stop fcking around in endgame and just leave.

Me and my swf never complain about noed, if it activates, it's 100% our fault, which we can still fix. It's up to us if killer will have an advantage due to our stupidity.

If not NOED, then Monstrous shrine, both are waste of a perk slot. They're very strong, but situational.

But then if Monstrous shrine became a permanent addition, the amount of basement campers would be way higher, it would need something to make it preventable like being unable to enter 2nd stage if killer is within 5 meters from basement hooks.

I definitely agree with BT being baseline for survivors tho, the amount of people who refuse to lvl up a free character for that is stupid...

I would also make No one left behind baseline for survivors, it suffers from the same thing as monstrous shrine, a complete waste of perk slot, but it would be a nice EGC power up.

Overall EGC needs like a rework or something

    Right!

Some survs just need to try some killers out. And vice versa.

Practice made me absolutely love facing Bubbas and Pinheads. Which i see people complain about the most, and for the they're one of the most fun killers to be against

  • I have a very soft heart. If survivor shows ANY signs of giving up (stops running, ignores danger, doesn't wiggle), I'll just let them be.

I know how it feels to be so done already, they might have a bad day or previous games, i'm not here to make it worse.

  • You see 3-4 flashlights in the lobby, so you take Lightborn.

    "hOw DaRe YoU cOuNtEr Me".

Nothing is more entitled that bully squads. They're allowed to bully you, but will cry if you decide to bully them back.

  • I used to absolutely HATE Doctor and Bubba. Now they're my mains.

I also unironically enjoy Basement (chest protector) Bubba.

Also it fixed my struggles when facing them, once you know how to play them, you learn their weaknesses and you don't have to complain about them when playing survivor. No killer is op if you know how to use their weak spots vs them

  • @maaadinsomniac said:

You need Merciless Killer for Adept achievement, not 32k points.

to get a mercilles you need to (preferably) get all of the hooks + other categories maxed out, which i did. You can't get max points without doing everything perfectly

  • Lmao, first time vs Huntress? Even Huntress mains know that hatchet hitbox is weird

(Also super adorable nickname for her, i love it)

  • I had this bug too, like... we had a nice friendly game with a Ghostface and no one could break him out of the stealth, even tho he was just standing right before us.

Happened multiple times in normal games, when Ghostface was really not hidden, it was impossible to reveal him.

At first i thought that's an addon or something (i don't play him, idk what his addons do), but now i see other people have this problem too

  • Survivor is just so close to the locker that your search option overrides search option, because it's the same button. Same goes for vaults if survivor is too close. It's annoying as hell, but definitely not a bug

  • it happens when there's a survivor crouching on the other side of the vault. Pretty hilarious on Haddonfield or Crotus Prenn.

it has to be one side vault too (slightly higher, impossible to vault back)

  • When someone dc during the mori or 3rd hook... I mean, you're dead anyway, why discard all the points...

  • @Almo said:

After he hooks someone, get in a locker for about 5 sec. Very often a doc will hook someone, then Blast to find their next target. Lockers prevent the blast from hitting you.

Sadly A LOT of Docs I've met are running Iron Maiden. With that escaping him is even more fun xD
