Let's delete make it so all moris only work once per game. Sounds fun to me.

Nobody is asking for that.
Making that change to toolboxes is de facto deleting them. Why play stupid?

They would still speed up gens in a way and give more bloodpoints
Would also be more fun for new survivors to be able to hit more great skillchecks
New survivors who are struggling would still find them usefull while only veteran survivors that already can hit greats would be affected
I think it would be a good way to nerf the top survivors without affecting the low ranks too much
Lets remove insta downs while we're at it... Shouldn't affect veteran killers much.

Everything you mentioned are still really good. Nothing good about the change to ruin.
Good compared to de ja vu sure. Pale shadows of what they used to be. Killer mains just hate the idea of survivors keeping any good perks or items.

what do you mean if they made great skill check zones bigger than they could counter ruin...... oh wait a second
I get you're a killer main. Yes. However it's like how no one stops to sabo anymore and noobs run sc instead of adrenaline.
What you want is de facto deleting toolboxes.
-
The community survived self care, decisive strike, balanced landing, medkits, pallets, windows, instaheals, bnps, and flashlights all being heavily nerfed...
Lots of pain to go around.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
I wonder if genrush would be so bad if toolboxes didn't increase the speed anymore
What if instead of speed they made the great skillcheck area bigger?
LOL why not just delete them?
-
So guys you can play against toxic killers who slug every game for the 4k or you can go to Raccoon City and get teammates, guns, and weapons in Resident Evil 3 Project Resistance...
See you in Raccoon City

To the devs:
Do you believe that the current state of generator speed is fine?
It's possible for a killer to traverse the entire length of a map just in time to see the first gen be completed by a group of survivors.
Is this ok even as an outlier situation?
It's also possible for killers to have multiple people hooked within 1 min.
Kinda depends on luck and who you face off with.
-
So you want a regular mode and a mode balanced around 4 kills per game? Why exactly would anyone play survivor in that mode?. 4 man SWF already has an under 50% escape rate.

Really? Funny how DS is still the #1 survivor perk and many still use self care. Sure, they were modified, but not gutted. Any of those perks use a hex totem that can be removed within a minute of the match starting? Nope. Did any of those prevent other perks from working? Nope. Did any of those ignore a specific need for which those were trying to remedy? No.
Not the same thing. Adjustments to perks are fine, when the perk is out of balance with the game. This adjustment was made without treating the underlying cause of why it was used so much. Nobody would care if Ruin was adjusted taking the underlying conditions into consideration, and balancing it, but it wasn't. Ruin was turned into a late game perk, that still relies on a totem that can be destroyed withing seconds of the match starting.
You didn't answer my question. How is the game survivor favored at all with 4 man SWF having just under 50% survival rate?
Ds is still beloved because it's one of the few counters to the "your fun is not my concern" tunneling crowd. Self care is used by noobs who get killed sure, good players shun it.
-
Thats a big buff, making ruin permanent and forcing survivors to gamble removing a lit totem that could be any hex.
Really maybe they should have made ruin just slow gens a certain % and skill checks be normal. With frames and lag, great skill checks are a pain on console. It would have made ruin way less aggravating.

Imagine not having a single point so you just post to annoy the forum.
For the OP: My overall mood on this is that it’s completely dumb to quit over a perk being changed (imo for the worse) however I do agree that the developers have a killer bias. I don’t blame them, it makes them more money to support the 80% rather than 20%.
However the game WILL die if the killers leave.
AKA most killer posts about how every perk and item survivors have is OP.
it's like how there have been 50 million SWF threads then the devs reveal killers were crying over not even a 50% average escape rate.
-
Ruin got buffed then nerfed.
DS was already nerfed into the ground.
Grow up.

We get it you're a survivor main but yes they are and this has nothing to do with 4K's just the devs clear bias towards survivors but of course you wont admit that so please try again.<3
4 man swf has under a 50% survival rate.
Try again and join reality.

Wah wah wah hatch keys OP i need muh easy 4k

@Fayyar said:
Yes, there is a problem. It's 16 perks versus 4, and the survivors can disable some of those 4. This is a bad game design.
I am not sure how to resolve this. The most powerful killer perks should be hexes - this is fair. However, disabling a hex should be more challenging.
How about making it default that the killer is always notified when someone starts working on a hex totem? TotH would have to be reworked, of course. But I still think that's not enough. Maybe the Entity should block the hex totems for the first 2 minutes of the match? That way even if someone finds a hex totem, they will have to come back for it later. And 2 minutes is not long.
And yet with 16 perks, 4 man SWF has just under a 50% survival rate. Funny how that works out despite all the wailing about "swf Op pls nerf"
-
What are you talking about? NOED was already meta.

Pretty sure you're missing the point, but that's okay, it shows you generally play survivor. I'm guessing any decent killer perk or anything that let's the killer one shot a survivor is BS in their eyes too?
I take it you feel the game should be balanced around 4 kills average per match.

Decisive strike was bullshit and you know it, four of them meant that four chases in a game were just null and void if a survivor could hit a basic skill check.
Self care allowed survivors to literally HEAL IN THE FACE OF THE KILLER IN BETWEEN HIS SWINGS, totally not bs or anything.
MoM was broken as you literally got free chase extenders for doing nothing.
Balanced landing was nerfed in place of fixing maps because it made literal infinite in which you genuinely could not catch the person if they had half a brain cell.
Borrowed time was bullshit because it allowed survivors to divebomb hooks with zero repercussions and get out scott free.
Vaccume pallets allowed you to extend chases in a better way than dead hard without getting exhausted.
Windows had the same infinite problem because structures like cow tree or wreched shop made it so that you couldn't chase around them.
Instaheals were piss easy to get and would constantly rob killers of entire chases or downs because of how braindead you could be with them.
And you forget, medkits got a buff to healing speeds shortly after.
Comparing the amount of nerfs killers have gotten is like comparing a slap on the hand to getting tazed and beaten.
To killers, all decent survivor perks are BS.
Need a tissue?

I play both sides but as you have shown again you only want to support the survivor ... I prefer to play other games than this rubbish. Got level 600 yesterday. Bye
Yes survivors just getting buff after buff. Decisive strike, self care, mettle of man, balanced landing, borrowed time, pallets, windows, medkits...
-

As a survivor main who dabbles in killer matches, I just want to thank all of you killer mains. The game in its current patch is heavily favored towards the survivors and you are all awesome for giving us games to play despite the one-sidedness. Thank you!!!
How exactly is the game heavily survivor favored? Really? Per Devs even a fabled 4 man SWF has average escape rate just under 50%, despite killer mains making them sound like unbeatable legends.
Did ruin get nerfed? Sure. Just like self care and decisive strike and mettle of man and balanced landing and borrowed time were all heavily nerfed. Killers and survivors both have gotten a lot of nerfs, it's hardly one sided.

@Cetren said:
Wait now I'm getting conflicting information. Should we or should we not "just adapt" to not having early game stall anymore? Because moris seem like a pretty good way to do that.
Thank you for providing another example of exactly what i posted about.

@Sixnno said:
Going off the last public information they stated (that I know of).
They aim for games to generally end with 2 survivors living and two survivors dieing.
I feel like BHVR needs to more address the feeling that letting survivors escape does to the killer. I mean you are the killer. It sucks and feels bad when anyone escapes. You're supposed to be this terrible monster. Yet the game is designed around having at least half of your prey escape. There needs to be more ways to communicate to killers in game that it's alright to let one or two people escape.
The flip side is 80% of the players have to play survivor for balance. Why would they keep playing just to die every round, which feels worse than seeing people escape? They're players too.
-
In short "i want it to be easier to get a 4k."

If not more. I mean, decisive still does it's job. Hell, you can can get in locker or force a killer to pick you up to still get it. Ruin just doesn't work anymore. The regression isn't even worth it. It's slightly slower than survivor's repair time.
Decisive went from "can use as soon as you get picked up" to "you can only use for 60 seconds if you get downed, hooked, then rescued."
Barely the same perk.
-
Yall are so right survivors get no nerfs at all... Decisive strike, borrowed time, self care, mettle of man, balanced labding, pallets, windows, medkits, bnp, odd bulb...
-
Kinda surprised. They nerfed it as heavily as decisive strike.
-
1. Crosshairs sure why not.
2. Fix hitboxes so the hatchet actually has to hit your person. No invisible disc shaped hitboxes that let a hatchet hit you when it visibly missed.
-
The stealth aspects of this game is already a bad joke.
-
Xbox and pc have survivor shortages.
Ps4 has killer shortages.

I give up. I'm done with sweaty ass matches against try hard swf's and there bs coms. Uninstalled. Needed to free up space anyway. Lemme know when you fix sounds and make the game a lil more balanced around swf's. It's getting way to stressful to play as killer now, and I don't wanna play survivor, because it's a joke. Solo players and killers are SICK of tryhard swf's. Listen to the PLAYER BASE!
The stats say 4 man SWF has a survival rate just under 50%. Are you upset bc swf means you gotta work hard to get a 4k stomp?
-
Basically 😂 either a solid team or golden retrievers with xbox controllers
-
Capcom is not going to license people to behavior lol. Re3 is direct competition to DBD with their Project Resistance multiplayer.
-
Such a great example of reality being a meme here
Devs: "4 man swf has about a 48% escape rate"
Killer mains: "SWF IS OP PLS NERF!"
-
Why can't we make it a challenge for killers to get kills vs being expected? None of this "killers are entitled to kills" mindset. 😂😂
-
If you're at 3vs1 you already have a way bigger advantage than any dying light perk or such stop being so entitled.

Hit boxes are awful and i feel your pain getting hit from far. Close quarters jukes are so hard it's ridiculous.
I pair sprint burst with premonition. Premonition warns me where bad guy is coming from, and Sprint Burst helps me be long gone before he gets to the gen i am at.

And if a survivor main says "the game is balanced" it means the devs balanced it around four escapes and 30 second gen times.
Currently it's balanced that a 4 man SWF has average 48-49% survival rate.
Not that facts matter to killer mains. God forbid they have any rounds that are not easy and relaxed 4ks.
-
Let's be real guys.
If a killer main says "the game is balanced" it means the devs balanced it to average 4 kills.
-
@TheCoolDBDGamer said:
Devs don't care about how frustrating the killer side is, they only care about the survivor mains as they surv mains buy skins, us true killer mains who know killer is the power role should just quit for 30 months. When survs can't get queues they'll make the killer side better.
Killer is supposed to be the power-role.
And with all the killer sobbing about SWF, then the devs come out that the "Godlike with 16 extra perks" 4 man Swf does not even have a 50% survival rate, its slightly below.
Cry us a river killer mains.

Grow up kids. You're why this game is trash
Dude you're the one who felt the need to go vent online about it. Someone's had a bad dry spell.

The problem is this game has extreme helplessness. Unlike f13 or last year or Resident Evil or Evil Within, survivors are helpless. No weapons to fight back at all.
-
Oh someone needs to fix that to 4k average for "killer fun" Tm
-
Like killers tunneling people to death because they brought items, who wants to get to use items in game.
