Newsflash: there’s is only one solution. Basekit unbreakable.
Nah until they figure out how not to make it not a hot mess of trash as it was in the PTB then just use what's available now or hope you don't have idiot teammates that just leave you on the ground

Well why don't you be pretty sure on someone else's post, you've been here for quite a while buddy, maybe I should start a YouTube channel, if I'm getting this much attention
Nah these are a public forum and people WILL disagree with you. Your gaining attention in the wrong way because anyone who doesn't agree with you gets a rebuttal of either insults or downright nonsense. These are a discussion forum so everyone will share thier opinions on the topic of the post and all the insults and lame put downs your trying to throw only weakens any argument you have sadly.

Maybe tbh there has been a few blank PfP posters lately complaining about Killer Perks the last few days so they all are starting to blend together. But I'm pretty sure they are.

Guess you'll complain about Spirit Fury next?

I somehow missed the Threads where people claimed that Nurse is a mobility Killer. There had to be some, otherwise you would not do such a pointless experiment.
They have that was like the third or fourth thing people complained about saying "She can camp the hook from across the map" or she can quickly get across the map...etc. it was never the main topic but I had been brought up at least once in every Nerf nurse thread.

It would also make 3 gens near impossible to defend. Which is kinda the last line of defense for killers.
Maybe the devs reveal additional objectives in a future dev stream/test build. Like they did with the basekit unbreakable and mori.
Yea I admit it's not a perfect idea but it has some promise and need fine tuning to help deal with 3-gens and meta speed/regression without majorly nerfing perks or styles of play. Maybe a PTB to see how our glorious community that looks for ways to weaponize fixes for issues and see where it needs to be tuned up on.

Locking the progress for both sides at certain intervals is a 2 edged sword. It would also mean, that the killer can´t remove progress off gens.
I know but until the part is installed it can still get regressed but I understand what your saying.

I love how the topic has devolved into survivors crying about tunnelling and camping. Both are terrible strategies; both waste time in a game where time equals gens completed. The only time I can think that it makes sense to camp is towards the end of the game, like just before or at EGC, if you have no kills OR there are only two survivors left. Not much sense in not camping the second last survivor; otherwise, the other remaining survivor will go for the save, and you get to play hide and seek until you finally manage to kill one of the survivors. Then the last survivor gets multiple chances to escape the game. First via hatch, then by an exit gate and then by the other exit gate—lots of second chances for the last survivor in the game.
Most devolve into camping and Tunneling by the same few people I have noticed. It's like they want to use that as a counter argument to something and then more jump onto the band wagon. So the original topic becomes lost.

Should be like what happened with old Frosty/Hallowed Eyes, old Lunar New Year cosmetics (think the Rooster shirt, or the Feng Mon Phoenix shirt), and the Re-released Event cosmetics (think Howling Grounds David + Huntress or Summer BBQ Kate + Billy), in that after the event, provided they were earned by the community (like through the Event Tome) they're just in everyone's inventory by default. Even a brand new player should have access to them all.
I agree with how short term most codes are if anyone is like me and works a lot they will miss the codes or a chance to even use them. I have missed so many codes because they were released during the week and by th weekend when I go to use them they said code not valid anymore

I know prestige doesn't represent skill levels, but you prestige characters by spending bloodpoints and you get those by playing. So if a person has some character at level 9 or whatever, they have most likely played more hours than I have, and so they are likely to be more skilled and knowlegable.
And yes, I know the ropes. As I said, I was tired and I made mistakes, including focusing on this one T-bagger in particular even when I know that this sort of "tunnel vision" is a mistake. I was wondering if the perk can be countered in some way. E.g. if there is some trick with positioning that allows to pick up the survivor and be out of reach for the pallet stun or something. But it seems there is no such thing...
You be surprised how little that matters....I'm only around prestige 5 on my Claudette and was able to loop and handle a Killer that was prestige 8.
Time ≠ Skill
Yes in some cases you might have that Survivor or Killer where the time they took to get to thier prestige level does equal thier skills, but from my experience that has never been the case because I got beat by a prestige 2 Killer before.

Surprising I guess I was speaking with logic lol

What are you talking about "refusing to participate in normal gameplay"? And who defines this? If there's one or two people left they're not obligated to sit on the gens just so they're "participating" in the match the way you want. I highly doubt BHVR is going to start punishing people in the ridiculous way you're suggesting. Make arguments effective with logic, not Hyperbole.
Survivors HAVE to progress the game by repairing Gens. Mandy and Peanits have discussed this multiple times when this topic comes up. If Survivors don't or refuse to repair Gens NO MATTER what the reasons are they are liable to be banned for Holding the Game hostage if they are reported with video evidence.

Also the fact that the game can put them in a situation where doing gens is a guaranteed loss doesnt help
Sadly if they refuse to try and repair Gens even if it's a loss is against the rules and holding the game hostage. Survivors HAVE to attempt to reapair Gens to progress the game.... so hiding, locker hoping, avoiding afk crows just to "wait out for the hatch" is a no go

Well it's not a solid lose lose situation I think they are wanting something better than AFK crows that can't be so easily manipulated to not activate to prevent the reportable Survivor Hostage situation

add a ######### new game mode already, or more types of trials so i can stop repairing these insufferable generators.
They probably won't add a new game mode simply because that would split the playerbase and that's never a good idea for any game. The best course would add a new objective for Survivors to break up the boring nature of repairs. (See my idea above)

I have hope in the future of DbD based on their latest questionaires. See comment above.
I had a idea for a second objective for survivors that would also help with how oppressive some regression perks are.....
Gens would now stop repairing at the 25, 50, and 75% zones where then survivors would have to find a spare part that spawns across the map that they are shown where to look. Once they install it into the Gen it locks progress at that zone so it can't regress past it, and they can continue repairing it. BNP would also be changed from what it is now to that I can be used in place of the spare part. BHVR wouldn't need to even touch either Gen Repair or Regression perks (besides the ones that are issues ATM)

Of course the killer meta is still gen regression. Playing without them leads to really short matches.
The Anti loop doesn´t really help with that. I honestly think, that most people would prefer to run something else instead. But get stomped when they do.
I know I do if I don't run at least 2-3 Regression perks match's go too fast and I get the lovely ez game baby killer responses I'm chat....that's why I stopped playing awhile ago....I don't like where the only viable perk options for Killers is Regression Perks. I have a few good perk combos that are not regression but only if it's against survivors that don't run full meta Gen repair perks.
-
@Chaos999 said:
Increase base regression to 20%. Reduce repair speed of that Gen by 50% for 60 seconds. Increase regression speed of that Gen by 50% for 60 seconds. Increase repair speed of survivors hit with eruption by 30% for 45 seconds as long as they are not repairing the erupted generators.
There. A side grade that helps prevent "gen rush" and actually makes it fair and still powerful.
I think that's the general consensus is the incapacitated is the worst part of the perk and needs to be changed.

Correct, but that is not a reason to punish non-swf solo players. That is just stating it is a possibility.
Wait what's a possibility.....it could be abused....no that WAS happening. Players were able to see the Killers Perks and then communicated them to the rest of their team. As Mandy said it wasn't just SWFs doing it it was Solos who would steam message the other survivors in their team. So it HAD to be changed....no one is getting punished and if you want to believe that then blame your fellow Survivors who abused it and made it get changed.

Why did dead hard need a fix?
Because it NEEDED to be fixed. The main issue as the Devs have said DH for distance to extend the chase was not the intended use for it and they saw a problem with it.
Now the issue we have are hackers with their Auto DH but besides that it's now more "skill based"

Okay so then the survivor they quit chasing after 5s gets back on the gen and immediately undoes the generator regression and progresses it again. Congratulations, the killer achieved worse than nothing because the other survivors progressed the other generators and they didn’t get any meaningful regression on this one.
You haven't faced a true 3-Gen then because it doesn't go like that in most cases because of how well most Killers can stall out any repair work. Most of the match the Killer is at a time crunch and any mistakes they make are multiplied...but with a 3-Gen they can take their time more or less and wait for the Survivors to make a mistake.
-
@sanees said:

3 survivors with hyper focus and a toolbox can fix the generator in 20 seconds, 1 person should briefly distract the killer so that at the beginning of the game you make 3 generation
so a complaint about the 3rd generation is the same as that the killer will stand afk, and after complaining that he does not have 4k
One survivor with a full stack of potential energy and a purple tool box or a BNP can get it done before the Killer realizes it's being worked on.

I'm not saying anyone shouldn't leave any type of review they want, I respect others' opinions very much. They just shouldn't make it while attacking forum moderators, who more than likely has no say in when the cosmetics leave at a particular time, they are just the announcers. That's what truly bothers me. I am also voicing my opinion how it may be a good marketing tactic for them that leaves customers wanting to come back eventually for that cosmetic. "I have to come back next year because I really want that outfit!", that's what the developers in charge of these decisions want people to think. They probably continue to use that 'scummy tactic' because it works. I have no statistics to prove this, this is just my thought. Do I think they're really worth waiting a whole year for? No. Not unless outfits were given a slight buff to the character you're playing instead of purely just cosmetic. Which would never happen because that really is unfair. I just wish people were nicer when asking for changes instead of being so aggressive and immediately threatening to give the game a bad review over something so minor.
Also, what is an example of dishonest messaging? They surely did give a message how they would be back next year and a time frame on which the limited time cosmetics would be available. (I'm not being rude, I'm genuinely curious if they did deceive us and I didn't notice.)
Mizu you won't get through sadly....these are the DbD forums and anyone who doesn't share in the "most popular opinion" will be made a outcast and that they are "wrong" in the way they are thinking.
You said your peace and be done with it because at the end of the day these forums are filled with keyboard warriors that will not see anyone else's opinions but their own.

None of the bootlickers will respond to this because they know better than anyone their 'arguments' are asinine nonsense.
Nice lame insult....I guess if they don't share your opinion they are a bootlicker huh. Many won't respond because as it stands now both sides can't stand the other sides opinion so it's a moot point to respond to anything because all that will cause is a back and forth argument of each side trying to make thier opinion the "right" one
-
Here's the thing alone Prove Thyself isn't a big problem...it's it's synergy with the other Gen speed perks, tool boxes and BNPs. So just like the Regression Meta has such good synergy with each perk in it's roster so does the Gen Speed Meta.
So it's just not one perk that's the issue but multiple things that make the issues we have on both sides.

Yea I agree it's very annoying but all this talk about FOMO and all that is kinda blown out of the water since they said it all will be back next year.
Now if we are talking about a battle pass then it's FOMO because let's use Rainbow Six Seige for example, each Battle Pass has cosmetics you cant get anywhere else and if you don't buy the premium pass then you'll miss out on them.....now that's FOMO because once it's gone it's gone

Why be disappointed with people? There would be a lot of people who wouldn't have a issue with this. Personally, I don't have an issue with time limited skins. A lot of games do this. The thing I didn't like how a lot of this cosmetics had already been in the store for some time. The other point is I have a suspicion it's a sneaky way to get around the "all non-licensed skins you can buy with shards after four weeks in the store" policy they have now.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3316909#Comment_3316909
This is a world wide game. It's coming up to autumn/fall for those in the south. Not to mention, it's not real life. Your survivor won't overheat wearing a sweater when you play in summer.
I think the removal of those items was to organize the shop a bit more and remove some of the clutter....at least imo. I have no issues with them taking away time limited cosmetics....but what I think is funny those who are complaining about this haven't said anything to support thier claims by saying things about battle passes that have cosmetics that are only available in the premium passes....

More incentive needs to be given to justify not tunneling/camping such as several Killer basekits (Mini Corrupt Intervention/Deadlock/Grim Embrace etc)
There is a good reason why the developers have not made tunneling or camping actual bannable offenses but instead introduce perks/basekits to counter such strategies.
If a ban wave was handed out for campers and tunnelers, Survivor queue times would see a huge spike and players would complain again.
Well they won't make it a bannable offense is because they themselves have said they are valid strats when used correctly

Yeah, but it would have been enough to change Iron Will in a way that it gives perma-Exhaustion. This would mean that you cannot have a very strong Stealth-Perk AND a strong Exhaustion-Perk. But the Double-Nerf made it useless. Even if you cut the Exhaustion-Part, Iron Will would not be used, because anything below 100% Noise Reduction is pointless.
But, as said before - Iron Will is one Perk which got nerfed too hard to remove it from the Meta. Nothing more.
If it gave Perma exhausted status then it would never be used again.....lowring the sound reduction was a healthy direction to go since sound is the main way Killers have to find survivors and it totally countered Stridor. No perk should completely counter another like that..hinder it but not counter it

Seriously every match when I face Nurse it does the same thing somehow I get hit when she hasn't even left her blink. I would expect to suffer the same thing since she technically is doing a somewhat teleport but no it's only Nurse so explain to me why this is happening because clearly it's not my connection or theirs and that it's actually going to be fixed in the next update.
So you never experienced a Killer with rubber band arms at a vault.....or getting knocked down at a pallet even though you pushed it over....
It's all about the games Hit Validation in general and latency not tied directly to Nurse. The game itself is saying that she did hit you even though on your screen it didn't look like it...but more than likely in their screen hit was a successful hit.
Same can be said also to Huntress and her hatchets.....
