Generally speaking, I wouldn't expect any changes to the most recent chapter in the next mid-chapter. Typically there's 3-4 weeks between a major release and the next PTB; there's simply not enough time for everything to settle, analyze all the new content, and implement the changes before the PTB comes out (and this isn't considering the lead time we have on updates; the things in this PTB were locked in several weeks ago). If something is super pressing, we can sometimes squeeze one or two changes into the mid-chapter, but we prefer not to if it can be avoided.
We're still keeping an eye on her, but we've learned from the past not to make impulse decisions when it comes to balance.
Thank you for that Peanits, making rash fixes are not the best way to go at times and glad you guys noted this. We may not say it but you guys do work hard trying to balance the game. We as a community may not agree with some of the choices you guys and gals at BHVR have made so we get a bit....."vocal" on the forums. Just do your best.......and in a side note.
*Looks around suspiciously*
I hope my laughing boy Doc is in your guys sights for a little buff *wink wink* if you know what I mean.

No because CoH is sold on Mikaela, who is a solo survivor, and DH requires effort to nerf.
The idea is BHVR will remove the distance gained from DH and keep the I-frames. They did say they dislike how survivors are using for it's distance than for the frames
-
What I'm afraid of is that any Buffs will not be strong enough, ie Trapper, and any Nerfs will be too gut slashing, ie rumors I have heard.

She’s just too adorable to lose to anyone.
All hail the cuteness that is Spirit for it is undying. She can carry me to a hook everyday.

Hmmm well I say a good moment was when I was playing Vommy Mommy and I had a SWF all with flashlights and I didn't have Lightborn yet, I was like great I'm going to get my butt handed to me....but then as I was looking for them I saw 4 flashlight beams shooting into the air as I get there they look at me click click twice then spin in the air clicking there flashlights.
I then decided to play along and look up and puke I'm a circle, after that we started farming BP off each other. Once each one got max points they dropped their flashlight and walked to a hook so I can hook them.
At the end we all started talking and laughing as we thanked each other for the laid back game.......I faced them a hour and a half later and we played for real. I got 3K and the last person I let get the hatch. They commented on how well I played and how hard I made if for them (in a good way). I played pretty hard but it was still a fun match, not filled with toxic survivors but fun ones

Usually if a survivor kobes without the aid of a certain perk we will not name, I will let them go because that's a big thing and I'm happy for them....but for their friends.....DEATH RAIN DOWNS UPON THEM LIKE A PLAGUE!!!!!!

No.
What about camping in the end game? Or camping with a 3 gen?
At that point; it's the Survivor's bad plays that made it happen, and they don't deserve to be thrown a bone by having the hook teleport away.
Why would you camp on a 3 Gen? Isn't the point of a 3 Gen is to force the Survivors to want to get hooked just to get the game over with. I mean that's how all my 3 Gens go as Vommy Mommy....mind you that's after 45 mins pass where I deny them a Gen muwahahahahaha.
But it's not throwing them a bone Pyramid Heads cages teleport to cancel out camping the cage anyway so the logical solution is to give the same thing to Hooks. Sadly camping is still camping, and most dislike that whole "strategy"
-
The best fix probably would be make hooks function similar to Pyramid Heads cages....if the Killer stays too close the Hooked Survivor the hooked Survivor is teleported to a new location.

I know but listen, I was not in a grass, nor corn because the map was coldwind, and another thing I realized, she was born in shack, and she managed to get to the barn and she had no ring, if that is not hack my god, and she find us in the beginning of the map without lethaul pursuer btw
How do you know she spawned in the shack at the start of the game...she could of spawned anywhere else, also Coldwind is a good spot to be spotted by her if the player has a good headset. Survivors make so much noise running around that map it isn't funny.

It is annoying.
I got lucky. The killer spared me and there was only one gen to go. They let me finish it.
If I'm going to let the last survivor live and there is only one gen left I always give them a chance to do it in case they need that achievement.
Same here...I'm usually more kind to the last survivor unless they are toxic or bm
-
They gutted Wraith so I lost interest in playing him
Doc needs a serious QoL update
The only Killers I play now are Vommy Mommy, Demo Puppy, Spirit, and now Artist.
I used to be mainly a Pyramid Head and Hag player but since CoH hit and run tactics are gone and I'm sick of seeing DH eat my ranged slash and survivors tea bagging me across dropped pallets.
So mostly I'm a Vommy Mommy main now and use the most broken Perks at my disposal just to get a edge.....I hate getting sweaty.

@sizzlingmario4 said:
Don’t cleanse all the totems. Just take note of where they are in case noed comes into play.
Noed needs to be reworked. Cleansing all the totems is not practical counterplay to prevent something that the killer may not have and actively hurts the boon economy in a meta where coh is extremely common. (And I’m not implying coh is balanced; it’s not, just speaking objectively here.) Add onto that the fact that Pentimento exists.
But yeah. Imo, cleansing totems is a waste of time unless it’s a hex or you’re running a perk that requires a cleanse (eg. clairvoyance).
Regardless if it's there or not all Dem bones will be broken...why....Boons that's why. I'll break every totem, unless a Boon is already on it. (I'm not a total ass now). I don't have Boon Perks so I need some broken bones for my locky heal. With Small Game I usually root out 4/5 totems before gens are done and that's only because of Boons that are on a totem. Before anyone says well your not doing Gens or some BS like that, I am you'll be surprised how many totems are actually within range of a Gen.

Killers were tunneling and camping before Circle of Healing. If survivors can't heal, you are basically walking around with killer having NOED. Of course killers would like that, but it isn't fun for survivors like that.
Rarely they were doing that. Put of 100 games I played I only got a camper/tunneler r times....after CoH and MMR I get about 50 out of 100 games

Not really this will set it straight on who really has skills and who doesn't. If the Killer add-ons are the issue then we will remove items and Add-ons as well. A purely naked game where true skill matters and no crutch perks items or add-ons.

Really the Rats are good...huh never touched them honestly and I forgot about Wraiths one since they gutted him I haven't touched him since....but then we'll go with what someone else said and go no items and no add-ons.
-
Me I'd rather have pure skill mode. No Perks and only brown items with no add-ons and killers no perks and brown add-ons.
This mode will show who has skills and who are just letting perks and add-ons carry them

Today there were 9 matches in which I escaped only 2. I don't have big problems against killers, but the teammates, by God, they can be annoying to a hellish level. There is always at least one person who kill the other three. Things like that happen:
- Survivor commits suicide on the first hook less than a minute
- Survivor purifies all totems, opens all chests, roams the map but doesn't repair any gen
- Survivor starts running from an instadown killer from 8m into a dead zone (seeing it come from more than 40m), giving a free hook
- Survivor downed near another hooked survivor and crawls towards the hook, encouraging the killer to camp
- one person on the hook, one down, one in chase, and the last healed and repairing gen, knowing he's the only one who can save the team, but ignoring all
- Someone following the killer the entire match to try a flashlight save and failing miserably
- Downed survivors randomly crawling without recovering
All these mediocre plays really screw up the solo queue, and there's no telling it's because the survivors are out of communication, it's a matter of common sense. Also, it's due to these survivors going out of their way to give the killer 4k, the kill rates go up and the devs think the killers are strong. I can say with certainty that several random survs are the real killers of the game in solo queue.
You forgot to add You on the hook and a survivor who is being chased by the Killer unhooks you without BT getting you downed and instantly into struggle.
Or
Your on the hook and you have Kindred an no one comes and rescues you even though the killer is chasing another Survivor across the map and no one will get out of a locker or stop crouch walking everywhere to save you and you die from your first hook

I play killer mainly and I lost my ######### due to mmr and dead hard I don't know how this game used to be before mmr was introduced but I only started playing shortly after it so all my games had it ... First of all every game is sweaty the same 4 perks over and over and over mainly dead hard everyone is using it and form my experience playing online video games developers were always adjusting and balancing the game and the thing is whenever a perk or ability or an item is over used in any other game on the cost of the other ones it gets nerfed immediately so there is a balance and all playstyles are equal but this perk is just torture and pain as soon as I started red ranks my mmr skyrocketed it was so much fun before going against normal beginner players I enjoyed playing all killers then slowly I dropped every killer I had fun playing because they were useless m1 killers can't end a chase and don't let me started on gen rushing and boons even running a meta build of ruin undying and playing nurse or blight or huntress first all my hex perks get cleaned 1 second into the match because a survivor spawns directly near them then the other boon meta survivors are searching 24/7 for totems to bless so before and now it's 200% higher chance that survivors will find your totems and I'm only facing 5000 hours players same names keep showing up to me toxic sweaty swf every other match they use dead hard so basically 3 health states and if you keep chasing all gens are done if you give up and try to patrol that survivor will get on a gen it's mental torture why this game is so survivor sided ? I'm barely lvl 107 now but I had enough of killer it's too much and you think bloodpoints are good enough to make anyone play killer? if you tunnel you lose the game and end up with 1 kill if you don't tunnel 4 survivors can easily escape plus the clicky clicky tbagging bullies and Decisive strike and the terrible field of view and dark maps where you can instantly lose sight of Claudette's and survivors wearing black and maps are too big to patrol there is nothing you can do as a killer to win unless you're a 7k hours nurse main that never misses a blink or something the average player that wants to climb or have any fun has no chance I was lucky to hit rank 4 as my highest rank I couldn't do it anymore when ever I'm finally able to down someone they dead hard that's a whole new chase and everyone is body blocking hooks and sabotaging them how are you supposed to hook someone 3 times with all of this ? and they won't even let you do it body blocking you and sabotaging your hooks I just want to enjoy the killers I love playing why everyone is forced into nurse blight spirit to even have a chance and considering how difficult these killers are I'm not seeing any difference so I'll just try survivor for now until this state changes
Yes MMR sucks we all agree and well Metas will always be Metas.....just play the game and not stress about losing a few games. Just chill and go with the flow, you'll find that sweet spot where MMR seems to work about 20% of the time.
-
Right I had a similar experience where I was accused of being a real "Meg" because somehow I caused another Survivor to suicide on the hook.....why you ask because I was "Hiding" in the basement. I was actually looking for a medkit because I was injured. Mind you now the other survivor....that was her first hook and we were facing a non camping Blight. I could of recused her and we both got out because we had all Gens done.
So long story short.......ignore them you know you didn't hide or do nothing. It's all about how you play the game. You can't trust other survivors to do anything competent unless your running a SWF.

No they removed all of the Survivor face skins and gave everyone who played Leatherface shards for the trouble.
-
To me if no one was toxic or bm I will let the last survivor go... usually the hatch. I'll down them and hit a object to let them know not to struggle I'm carrying them to the hatch.
There was one game though I did that and carried them to the hatch when I was met with a dilemma.....the hatch spawned right across from a hook. So when I got there I looked at the hatch then the hook then the hatch before slowly turning towards the hook. The survivor got scared and started to struggle when I dropped them and let them escape. They said at the chat that they were scared when they saw the hatch next to a hook lol.

That would make sense, but strikes me as too granular a change for BHVR. They generally don't like doing that sort of thing with survivor perks (DS took...years to change like this).
Yea but that's why we are players and they are Devs lmao. I get they need to crunch numbers and not make similar mistakes like with Boil Over and other perks they made too "good" Things don't need major gutting or nerfs to balance them. Small tweeks maybe all something needs to bring it up or down balance wise

The issue isn't that it 'counters' stealth killers. If it was a soft counter you could play around, that would be one thing.
The issue is that it completely breaks two killers in half, in a way that there is literally no counterplay for. Myers or worse, Ghostface into a Spinechill basically makes you into an M1 killer. It's not good design.
If this perk were made to not function when the killer is Undetectable would still retain it's core purpose as an early warning system that has counterplay, without causing certain killers to basically lose at the selection screen.
Blind hard-counters are never good design.
I do agree with you there I was just making a statement is all. Here's a thought maybe keep the regular range but shorten it with Undetectable. Say 15m or so, that way it makes everyone happy. Killers can still get close with Undetectable and Survivors will still use it to give them a chance and not totally gutting it.
-
But I like Monsterous Shrine....So many Survivors try to jump off the hook only to get into 2nd hook state faster is so funny. Combine it with IG and Agg and watch the fun happen.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Just based on the idea that it detects a killers approach "directionless" doesn't mean that the killer has any advantage when the survivor knows they are approaching! And from 36 meters, which is 4 meters beyond any killers TR, Stealth or Not, is Absurd! Not to mention that the only way the killer can avoid it is to somehow always predict that the survivors have it, and always keep each destination in the far left or right of their screen, even while chasing in order to prevent the vaulting advantage... I lost my train of thought because of how ridiculous of a requirement that is. The point I'm making is that it's current function is OP, and I'm having a really hard time as to why you, an admitted "Ghost Face" main, are so opposed to the idea of making it more balanced.
Dude... I'm not talking out of my ass here... This has long needed to be addressed, because it's an old perk that needs some modernizing for the current game. I just don't understand how you think that, as a Ghost Face player, it's fine as is. Honestly I'm Flabbergasted! (which is kind of fun because I never get to use that word).
There isn't anything wrong with Spine Chill and having it counter stealth killers is fine too.
The directionless part of it is the balance part of it. The amount of times it has saved my bum from the Killer is the same as the amount of times it has screwed me over as well. I thought a Killer was coming from one direction and ran off right into the Killers face and other times I though a Killer was chasing someone with how it was blinking and the Killer was actually heading towards me.
You say it hurts new players because they don't understand it it's true fot most games. I was accused of using a ESP hack by another Survivor because I always "knew" where the Killer was and ran before he got to me. I told him about Spine Chill and he was like What?!
Nerfing any and all Perks that are annoying but not too strong won't help the gamrle or it's balance.
-
@jesterkind said:
I've always thought of the Shrine as a way to get perks without levelling, not a way to get perks without spending money, so I'm fine with it. They're all relatively useful perks, save for Dark Devotion that's only really useful in gimmick builds, so it's a perfectly serviceable Shrine as far as I'm concerned.
Well combine it with starstruck and you have a homing beacon to your next target the down if they are nearby

Sorry that you survivors really want an easy game. But you know they need a stamina mechanic.
No that would kill the game. Killers already move faster then survivors and as they gain bloodlust they go faster. All a stamina system would do would make exhaustion perks useless and/or Survivors wouldn't be able to run because they used their exhaustion perk.
-
Now here we have a prime example of a failure to remember that the servers are not the greatest in the world. Shall I show you exhibit A.....Pallet Validation it Exhibit B......Hit Validation.....it's a sad truth....also if they made the hit boxes smaller to match the size then with latency issues no one could ever get a hit

So I've actually took the time to learn how Spirit's "new" power works after all of this time and I actually love playing as her now.
I kind of hated playing as her after her nerf because survivors could easily guess where you're coming from, but I've learned how to trick survivors with the phasing noise and it led to some pretty fun plays. The only issue I have with paying as her is on Backwater Swamp because it's dark and I can't see a thing, but other than that I've been having fun playing as her.
Welcome fellow Spirit lover. We welcome you with open arms. You are home now and this is a safe place.

I only have issues hooking survivors from the basement of the school if they have boil Over and I don't have Iorn Grasp on.....forgot to break the door....or the Survivors body block then I'll get free downs so that's fair. I notice this too when reset happens the quality of Survivors go way down for a few days
