How, exactly, would survivors abuse it? The killer just wouldn't be able to grab a healthy survivor attempting an unhook. They'd still be able to interrupt it by hitting them. The only thing that changes is that we no longer have these silly hook standoffs where the survivor tries to force the killer to hit them.

Hitting a survivor doesn't interrupt the unhook all it does is hurt them and they still get the unhook while the killer is doing the blood wipe. Survivors would abuse it by knowing they can't be grabbed off the hook rescue and do rescues right after the Killer hooked the survivor and doesn't have time to even leave the hook area or one survivor makes the chase happen around the hook while a second comes in for the rescue knowing they can't be grabbed.

It's the same thing when the Devs put in a pause to hook progress if the Killer was standing too close., Survivors abused it by making sure the chase happened around the hook so there was no progress to the hook state.

As said above, there’s no additional outfits/charms for prestiging beyond what’s already there.

We don’t actually know what the reward will be. If you are on the fence whether it’s worth it, you might want to wait for that announcement.

Sadly in my case I won't get anything because I can only play on the weekends because of work and that's when it's miserable to play either Killer or survivor so I'll never get a p3 character before then

Bugged or not, the speed is unbalanced.

Oh I agree with you there that's why if anything get reworked on her it's her addons a bit. Her addons is why my escape rate against her is between 45-50%

Well It’s bugged for the second blink so.

The second blink isn't bugged either once someone has the timing down they can get those blinks in faster than you can react that's part of her high skill ceiling.

Don't forget if you hide in a locker he can teleport to the locker and rip you out of it not to mention the addon that causes lockers around you to open and slam shut or the creepy screams and laughter when nightfall hits.....I can't wait and Dredge is the first NON HUMANOID Killer

Making it so the killer can't grab a survivor trying to make a save if that survivor is full health would alleviate some of the problems with camping.

Right now most killers just camp the first hook to try to force the second hook state. But grabbing is too easy, so it forces all the survivors to come make the save which can mean the game can be basically over if the killer decides to first hook camp against solo queue survivors.

But then survivors would abuse it and then.the killers wouldn't be able to stop the unhooking. Thsts why they want to make BT basekit in some form.

  • Personally I'm excited for it because this is the first Non Humanoid Killer. One step closer to a spider killer ...

I think I made pretty clear that when it comes to only solo matches she's just uncounterable, specially with bespoke build. My point here is that when you play against her is not Dead by Daylight, but a "Nurse's game", cause she can completely ignore basic mechanics of the game.

And for your argument, that fits another discussion. Trust me, I know how miserable it's to face a decent 4 men squad.

Heres the thing I faced plenty of Nurses and I play solo all the time ATM I have about a 45-50% escape rate vs nurses. My escapes depend on if it's a baby nurse or a god tier nurse. It's possible to escape even God tier Nurses if you don't relay on the same strats used on every other Killer. Remember she can't SEE through walls so use that to your advantage because she will have to guess where to blink to.

Also play as her because then you'll find that there are some objects she CANT blink through and multi floor maps actually hurt nurse especially if they run range add-ons and don't run the plad addon because one misplaced blink will cause her to go up or down a floor instead.

And the last most important thing to remember is .... Don't be predictable. Be random in chases to confuse the player as much as you can because that's still a human with human reflexes behind that nurse

Go to a exit and wait for the gens to get done haha 😂😅 but in all seriousness I hope the swamp is next to get reworked, it's such an awful map. The different hill heights makes artist difficult, and if I'm blight I'd just DC and be done for the night. Also the loops in swamp confuse, specifically the loops under the ramps.

The loops under the ramps and under the buildings make chasing a survivor annoying and difficult, not to mention that there's usually a ton of trees or rocks nearby so they can easily break los and stop the chase

Here's the order I see them from most to least.

    1. Pride charm
    2. Auric Cell charm (it's bright and glows, and not time-limited. You just have to buy some from the store at least once)
    3. any Tier 70 Rift charm (usually the more recent ones, but the Blood Moon and the Nectar Vial are popular ones. Generally, anything that glows or moves)
    4. DLC-related charm like the Puzzlebox from Pinhead or Silent Hill charm
    5. the chibi 3d-figures of killers & survivors
    6. Event related charms, like winter holiday or new year's
    7. everything else

90% of the time, it's the first three. Nobody really cares about charms, me included (except the pride flag). I think BHVR should either tone it down in the Rifts, or overhaul how they're displayed to other people. I have 16 pages of charms rn.

You forgot the Viper RTS charm that you have to use the "secret" code to get

Yes, it rewards the killer by punishing the survivors failure to cleanse totems.

If the killer was bad, the survivors should have no problem cleansing totems.

If the killer was applying enough pressure to prevent totems from being cleansed, then they earned it.

I mean yea because if I run Cool Jake with Small Game I clear out 3-5 totems quickly. It all depends on how many Boons are out

  • @legacycolt said:

    Coh is fine imo

Agreed the last fix put in a decent place, it's strong but not op now. I don't understand why they are bringing out a perk to break totems for Killers because that should be base kit when Boons came out tbh.

  • @Veinslay said:

Dead Dawg isn't that killer-sided. The Saloon is possibly the strongest building in the game and you can just setup a boon there to counter any 3-gen

Wow, I'm sure iri king and queen on doc was VERY detrimental to your gameplay, they deserve complete nerfs and/or removals

Don't you dare speak that King and Queen on doc makes for very fun matches.

  • I don't team with survivors but will let them farm off me and I farm off them and will usually let them go because we all just wants the points tbh.....heck the time I was Vommy Mommy and I had a entire team of Flashlight clickers using their flashlights like spot lights to get my attention....they spun around looking up as I did the se using my Vommy and that was a signal that we all wanted to farm off each other lol it was actually a fun match. It so good to have non stress silly matches all the time.

The closest to "teaming" was when I was doing the invisible glyph challenge and a little witch noticed when I hooked a survivor I would randly run off in another direction. At the end game I had no kills and the witch alerted me by fast vaulting a pallet. When I got there she pointed at her boon l, then pointed towards the hatch then finally pointing to a hook and crouched to let me hook her. She was nice and wanted me to get a few points for my troubles.

I had them but my sister will enjoy them. Wish she could get the cosmetics tho

I have them too I'm mad I never grabbed the Chained Demo or Scoopy Steve lol. But those are cosmetics and Demo is such a fun Killer to play as long as you okay for fun and don't stress. I had many games where I let survivors go as long as I got my head pats.

  • But only enjoy vanilla Steve Nancy and Demo Puppy

I almost always kill myself on hook because she's just too boring to play against. Sorry, but I'm not forced to play if it's not fun for me, so these guys that are saying "because of people like you..." Stop it. I have the rights to choose.

Yes but killing yourself on the hook is very unsportsmanlike behavior because of your "sacrifice" you make the job of the other three survivors that much harder. I always stay in it to the end even if I'm being face camped, because if the Killer is camping me hes not patrolling gens.

  • @regnam said:

Ill do it if Im trying to stay hidden from bbq, and when I do I sit in the locker for about 4 seconds after the person gets hooked. The only exception being if the killer is huntress, then I never get in lockers in case of funny locker perk. Other than if im about to go down and theres nothing near by Ill hop in a locker to avoid a swing and waste a big more time.

I can't count how many times I'm chasing a survivor and break chase to reload and low and behold I find another survivor hiding in a locker lol....that actually scares me because I'm not expecting that.

Oh no, anything but being somewhat slowed. That's surely a huge hindrance, which is why clown is a top tier killer.

    .... Right?

It's literally easier to hit crows than bottles. They do not respect line of sight or map geometry. You just poot them where you want them to go. It's braindead.

Wait clown is a top tier killer ...when did that happen?!

Because every man and women shall have the right to use their Dead Hard.

    Ahhhh Rule # 789-1 classic

  • @Slowpeach said:

    Yes and no.

Like many things in this game, if used healthy as merely an anti tunnel measure, no not at all. Tunneling is simply not fun yet the game encourages it, so some counter element is good to have. It also only works once a game per survivor and there is 'some' counterplay if you suspect it (leave them slugged). Unlike Dead Hard when used for distance.

If DS is used in a toxic way to bodyblock somebody else for example knowing you can't do anything to them which in other words means not tunneling, that is incredibly annoying. I do think the perk is a tad too flexible but I can't think of a way to design it in such a way that is purely anti tunnel yet isn't used as a way to block hits intended for others and punish the killer for trying NOT to tunnel.

Its the same with BT. It's starting to get old that the ones who receive BT instantly body block or the ones who did the unhooking forced a body block by running past the BT survivor and causing them to get hit.

  • @Valaryyn said:

DH certainly needs a nerf. Boons in general should be changed to token perks, one token per boon perk equipped. Each token allows you to boon one totem, so once your tokens are gone, no more boons. The weaker boon perks (aka not COH) could get buffed to balance this.

The issue with nerfing BT, DS, and IW is that those perks are simply the only way to alter a significant aspect of the game. I would rather see the game changed to make these perks less necessary than for the perks themselves to receive nerfs.

Killer-wise, I personally dislike NOED. The speed buff seems unnecessary. I get that they need a scaling value, so why not smaller terror radius instead? Most of the other killer perks seem fine to me.

Mostly, I think they should rework some of the clearly bad perks (sole survivor, monstrous shrine) to make them more interesting/playable.

I know you don't want them nerfed but at the moment there's issues with two of them that need changed.

IW is easy make the max a 90% instead of 100% so it's not a total counter to a certain nurse perk, also moans of pain are how most Killers track and how Spirit can discern where they are. So it should never of been a 100% silence to moans of pain.

BT just make the Survivors who have it either thier hit box vanish so they can't Body Block for other survivors for the duration of the hit or make it vanish if they do a body block. Just it a similar treatment to DS, if your body blocking for a fellow survivor your not trying to get away from the Killer or the Killer is not trying to tunnel you. I have had times where I'm trying to get away and the Killer is chasing the one who unhooked me and the one who did the unhooking ran past me forcing a protection hit and that's not cool imo.

DS is in a good place ATM and any Killer that complains about it won't try to learn the minor clues that survivors have it....if a survivor that gets unhooked gets downed by you before they are healed and DONT try crawling away and just sit there 99% of the time they have DS and want you to pick them up.

As for Monstrous Shrine I don't know how they could buff it without it being totally abused by Killers. Maybe buff the stats a little but other than that I don't know.

  • Hey that's your opinion and I can't argue with that. To each thier own I'm pretty sure there's Killers you play I don't find fun lmao.

Except PH is more consistent than Artist imho. And also, he's way more fun to me.

I agree that PH is more consistent in hits but Artist is a strategic Killer to get hits and that's where the fun is imo.

  • Sounds to me you got delt the classic SoloQ bad hand. You'll always have tryharders everywhere from low MMR to high MMR, and will always have those survivors that won't want to get healed, which leads me to the question.....Why didn't you heal them when they ran up to the Gen your working on?

And sadly rank means really nothing even before the rank changes they ment nothing, if I was able to play more I would be Iri 1 all the time and I say it ment nothing even in the old system because I faced Iri ranks as Silver or even Bronze rank before.

As it stands now MMr is working decently well.

No I didn’t think to record. It was literally my first match in any game ever with mouse and keyboard 🤙😂

i hear a lot about cheating in DBD but don’t really encounter it on console. This took me by surprise

Tbh cheating is not a rampent as the forums make it out to be. Since I started playing I only faced a few cheaters. Mostly lag switchers or subtle speed hackers. I wouldn't let it affect you that much

  • Well Gen Rushing is not the main issue....the main issue is how strong tool boxes are even after Nerf combined with how easy it is to hit great skill checks. I had a night where I was hitting them back and forth and speed through the gens solo. If the G.Skillchecks had a more randomness to their placement then gens wouldn't go so fast

  • @Sally_S_gay_son said:

It's fun as a survivor for me too, the aesthetic is so nice and there are some fun loops

However, going against Ghostie who can hide in bushes as your average Claudette and stalk you from there or Trapper is scary ngl

I had a match with my girl Claudette and a Ghostie. Me and him were playing hide and seek all game playing like a old cartoon sneaking through the bushes and rising up in different areas. It was a fun and laid back game where we just farmed each other before Ghostie let us all go.

  • @FeelsBadMan said:

I love the map as killer LOL It's usually a granted 4k IF you just ignore chasing in main building. I hate it if a survivor brings the map in my soloq tho cause it's usually someone who just plays SUPER immersed which usually means all they gonna do is hide in bushes all match long.

But my Claudette thrives in the bushes....she is the great Shrubbery Ninja. I'll stalk you and scare you as I jump from the bushes and yoink survivors off hooks or heal right in front of you but we'll hidden.

All jokes aside....it is a balanced map just need to check the bushes near Gens you find or if a survivor just vanishes swipe at a few bushes and you'll find those survivors.

  • As others said Doc is fun but takes a little time to get the timing down. Most of his addons are good minus the changing of the shock......Ring is only good is they stay close to you and beam is tighter but you can get a good "snipe" with it.

Doc gets a range bonus based off his TR so anything that increases your TR helps you while things that suppress or shrinks it hurts you. The "Nodes" all increase the range of your Shock so those are safe bets but the "Files" are where its at because they change how Madness works on Survivors. The best ones I would say are ones that give Survivors a false TR heartbeat or a fake Red Stain. If you want to just be mean use both the King and Queen addons at the same time and watch Survivors quickly hate you.

  • Truly only three killers can fully proxy camp....

    Demo....

    Hag.....

And now the new Killer coming out. They can get back to the hook quickly without needing to camp the hook. Most confuse this as actual camping because camping is looked down on but proxy camping is not because the Killer is not actually camping and sitting at the hook

Lithe is actually harmful to looping.

Overcome can be negated through keeping people injured.

    Balanced is very situational.

Dead Hard is adaptable and frustrating and feels like you've been robbed of a hit.

Dont forget Balanced Landing is also buggy as hell since it can activate from a drop as small as 2ft lol.

  • @Munqaxus said:

You know that people who are rescued with BT really need to do that to be able to get the speed burst from it to get to a loop.

There are a lot of Killers that tunnel-off-hook-till dead and BT is needed to try and get away from it. Plus, the unhooker is usually injured, so it gives the unhooker a slight chance also.

I NEVER body block with BT because if the one rescuing me wants to play dangerous then they can have it I'm getting the heck out of dodge. Also where is the unhooker usually injured? In 95% of BT saves I have seen the unhooker is full health and stay that way, the only times they are injured is when they run up while the killer is still there so it's their fault for getting injured.

BT is a anti tunnel perk not a save my buddy from a hit perk. It's like the arguments about the DS change, players complain that they can't do anything without it deactivating DS but if your doing anything other than running from the Killer then your not getting tunneled so you don't need DS.

Its the selling point of the killer. Outside of her condenemed she just a mediocre hit and rum character with little to no chase or anti loop. If your playing a killer that lacks anti loop with long cds on tvs shes should have a faster way to remove survivors. Buffing her tvs would help but again she still has no anti loop.

Commiting to condenemed is easier and more appealing for sadako players.

They need to fix tv spawns as well I had a game this past weekend where 3 of my TV's were no where near gens and in places that survivors would never go. TV's should spawn next to Gens so that condemn can be applied better and have a reason for survivors to grab a tape for a change.

Yes but how easily it is to get rid of condemned progress and how hard it is to actually give it needs worked on. Maybe make it a passive gain and when they have the tape it goes faster.....I don't really know though but at the moment Survivors won't touch tapes unless just to lock down a area.
