  • Her Addons are already getting changed in next patch with the new Chapter.

I agree any blinks after her first should be considered special attacks, because if we made all her blink attacks special then they would have to increase her base movement speed so she had a chance to get a normal hit.

Her Base Kit is fine players need to stop wanting to use the same counter for all other Killers for her. I have seen player use new strats in games and do decent while those her either Hold W or try to do basic looping get smeared into dust.

I was one who wanted her nerfed hard too when I first started playing DbD then I saw some of the counter arguments about using some new plays against her and wanted to try them and it greatly improved my survivability against her. Then I tried playing her to learn how her powers work and was impressed on how it works and interacts with the environment.

Explosions always occur in the game to favor the Killer when a Survivor fails an action for example missing a Skillcheck while repairing a generator or while healing.

To my mind the Killer shouldn't be notified when a Survivor get's unhooked because

a.) the Survivors didn't failed while testing their skill (Skillcheck)

b.) it motivates the Killer to return to the Hook and tunnel because he can't see a difference between the Unhook and a missed Skillcheck.

c.) as Killer you can still see when someone get's unhooked by paying attention to the Hook-Symbols, it just doesn't notify him in his face.

The "explosions" are not just with missed skill checks it's also from Survivors doing loud actions. The whole point is when a survivor gets hooked the hook moves down a little bit while getting unhooked it pops back up to is normal position making noise that alerts the Killer

Are you the devs? Why say something like you’re sure of it?

But they didn't they said probably won't be added and gave thier reasoning behind their opinion by saying that Eddie won't have much cosmetic potential and to be honest that's true. There are other characters that would be better as a new survivor that would have more cosmetic sales.

  • If that happens again record it and report them. That is against the rules.

Both have been clearly seen beatable on both sides. Maybe because it's not as easy case by case is why this response is prevalent, and it all runs back into practice with different builds etc. NOPE gotta be easy pz for the baby survivors

Are you even able to read comments BOTH Killers and Survivors hated the map for it's size and how the layout was

You can't make a map that only has strength for the Killer that came out with it. Besides the map is a almost direct copy of how the RPD station actually looks like. The small hallways were not made for a cat and mouse game that is DbD. Killers like Blight, Billy, and Oni were reduced to M1 Killers because they could use their powers fully.

  • @RavenBirb said:

Congrats your unneeded baseless complaints on why RPD is too big got answered so yall can have a fun boring OP time on survivor like always. This was my favorite map because it replicated the game and was perfect for me.

Whoever complains about it being too big is a giant noob and doesn't take anytime to learn anything new or take on a challenge. Survivor always has to be the easy role and it shouldn't

That map was way too big and most complaints came from BOTH Survivors and Killers.

The map was way too big and was a pain to try and cross, its maze like design was horrid for chases on both sides, multiple god pallets that Killers HAD to break to continue the chase.

The size alone made protecting Gens on either side of the map.

It's normal that generators spawn almost close to each other on the Haddonfield, one in the main in the room on the 1st floor, the other in the bushes in front of the main, literally 10 meters from each other?

Normally no but I think they adjusted alot of the tiles and it has screwed up the spawns of hooks and gens

Name some killers other than Twins. Hag maybe? But good Hags don’t need to camp at all.

Hags are proxy campers anyway and won't be affected by the perk unless the perk triggers with their traps which I highly doubt

  • But you suggested a nerf and made a complaint about a Killer that was once a Formula 1 Race Car and now is a busted Gremlin missing a front tire

  • No they removed his lunge coming out of cloak so if your not running silent bell you'll never get a surprise hit because they will auto run when they hear the bells direction.

i don’t blame them for this, even though it was a nice idea to communicate directly with the community it wasn’t the right format.

Hey don't forget we thr players got to upvoted or down vote the questions we wanted asked. The questions that people wanted to ask that made sense and could answer a few thing got down voted while the ones like you said got up voted constantly multiple times along with down right stupid ones like Hen Speed.....

But if you play solo, how many survivors that refuse to do gens are needed? Can survivors adept to the point where they can win a 3v1 in a game designed to be a 4v1 on equal skill level? And if they can win, they would surly win with 4 survivors, i would argue at that point matchmaking is not working.

You have to distinguish in this game between swf and solo, because its vastly different.

I mean, are you just a survivor that thought you had skill, too, or are you adepting and winning? Your last sentence seems to imply you win not that much.

Thats the point, swf can and should be able to handle this shifts, solos have your survivor experience, even if they adept, because you cant adept for the whole team.

Yes I strictly play soloQ because I don't have enough friends who play around the time I do.

Yes alot of the issues are with matchmaking as well ie Higher MMR Killers going against lower MMR Survivors and visa versa. It has been confirmed that the current matchmaking system will disregard MMR limits to pair Survivors with the next Available Killer and visa versa even if the MMRs don't match up for a "fair" match.

Part of this issue with matchmaking is that alot of Survivor players have switched to Killer and without the incentive system running there is no reason to switch back.

Yea I'm losing alot but like I said that because so far my teams have consisted of the DCers, Hook Suiciders, or Match Saboteurs. So I'm stuck in the glorious Low MMR Hell. I myself can loop with the best of them and my average amount of Gens I can pump out in a single match is around 3 and that's by myself mind you. It took me awhile to adapt to the patch changes but once I did I got back into the normal flow of things. That being said 1 Survivor can't successfully escape a match by themselves, it still takes a team to get there.

All my experience has been through the SoloQ. Even my matches as Killer had more SoloQs to at most 2-man SWFs and all those matches, excluding a few where matchmaking paired me against a bunch of baby Survivors, have been very good and evenly matched. I won some I lost some and I tried a few of them but overall the experience was good seeing Survivors that were adapting to the changes.

So in short the ones who have quit DbD because of the patch we're not trying to adapt to the changes and the same goes for the ones who are ruining the matches for new players and those stuck in the Hell Zones. I have yet to run into a actual Toxic Camper in my SoloQ games. However I was tunneled and camped to death but that's because I was the only Survivor that was running CoH/ShadowStep Boons and was the obvious Rescuer for the ones on hook, so I expected to be tunneled and camped because that was the smart play to get rid of me early. Was I bummed about it.....yea a bit but like I said I expected that to happen.

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

They're quitting because they're bad and don't want to adapt. I've already told you Killer is harder than it was a few days after 6.1.0 because Survivors adapted. The ones who didn't bit the dust and I'm glad

i wouldn't try I have seen them disagree with anything that isn't the people quiting because of the struggle argument. My Killers are in mid MMR and my games are back to normal besides the randoms baby squads I face from time to time.

Sadly my Survivors are stuck in low MMR hell

  • @Biscuits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3141087#Comment_3141087

I don't think survivors swapping to killer full time or straight up quitting has anything to do with their skill. The game has gotten to a point where you lose as survivor a lot more than you win. You have to ask yourself if there is even a point in playing out games. Where you can clearly see the survivors you were matched with, can't play against the killer you were matched with.

Survivors aren't having fun, and the more you keep telling them to "JUST ADAPT" "DEAD HARD NERF LMAO", is just going to cause them to quit the game faster. If your only take away from the queue times and survivors giving up is that they are just all babies. This game isn't going to last much longer.

Survivors are having fun in mid to high MMR because it's normal games it's low MMR where survivors are "not having fun" I still have fun as Survivor but sadly because of the quiters that would rather quit and ruin games I'm stuck in low MMR hell and can't get out. I didn't matter how much or long I loop the killer or how many gens I can pump out myself (3 is my limit before last survivor dies).

I looped a Killer last weekend for 3 mins before he got one hit on me and not a single Gen was done, and by the time I got downed and picked up I found all my "teammates" crouching in corners or jumping in and out of lockers.

The Survivors going Killer would rather Tunnel and Camp instead of playing normally causing a increase in issues with camping and tunneling.

I referred to skill being a issue because as I stated in Mid to High MMR survivors loop and do gens and play like normal. My Killer games are fairly balanced even though I get those occasional babay squads that I could easily stomp into dust.

  • Sadly my Survivors are stuck in low MMR hell now and all I get for teammates are DCers that DC from seeing a Hatchet flying across the map or DC because they make a mistake at a loop and go down too quickly, survivors who just suicide on hook for no reason, refuse to do Gens or refuse to get healed.

Heck one game I was repairing a Gen and decided to get off to check for Ruin or Dead Man Switch, a survivor runs up as soon as I stand up and DMS actives and the Survivor instantly DCs......

  • @Biscuits said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3141071#Comment_3141071

Right right right right, that must be all that skill issue boosting up killer queue times.

No that's Survivors that thought they had skills but after patch found out they don't actually have those skills and instead of adapting to the changes and learning to get better they just quit by DCing.... suicide on hooks.... Refusing to do gens.... Etc.

I have faced survivors that HAVE adapted and got better and give me a good challenge again as Killer.

While on Survivor I'm stuck in low MMR Hell because of the above quiters and lame players.

It's funny that killer-mains are telling solo-queue survivors that they can have a lot of fun not winning, after the developers basically gave them free kills so they will be an "unstoppable force", direct developer quote.

Wezil Survivors made the same comments when Boons came out when things were still highly in the Survivors favor. Now it's no different I still have fun in SoloQ when my team doesn't sabotage the match by DCing dying on hook etc. Winning isn't everything

  • Here's the thing is really comes down to skill level when people complain about nurse at this point. I have about a 50-60% escape rate against a nurse, it all depends on the Nurse's skill level.

I have seen players not even try any of the kown counters to her, but instead just use the same ole strats that are used against all the other Killers. If these players are the "majority" that want her nerfed and reworked then BHVR SHOULDN'T listen because those players refuse to adapt and learn how to counter her but instead want to be forum warriors for change.

Mandy herself said before that it was unintended because you could barely dodge projectiles with it.

If spinning ever were to get adressed (which it obviously shouldn't bc it's such a non issue) killer mains would demand that survivors shouldn't be able to sprint anymore right after.

Not really the reason spinning is a issue for Killers is because of the stupid "Aim Dressing" they put on Killer attacks. Spinning causes the Auto Aim to target a area where the Survivor is actually not causing a miss.

If aim dressing wasn't a thing then spinning wouldn't be a issue.

Tbf his TR should be at least the range of his attack.

It was before the Nerf or maybe slightly smaller but that's what made him fun to go against because once you hear the TR your within his range and could get speared.

I know it's a typo, but you said gum and now I'm picturing Deathslinger spitting his gum out at people. Anyway, that's a good point and I didn't think about that so, kudos. He's a killer I've only played 3 or 4 times so I wouldn't know for sure.

I never even noticed the typo lmao so that will stay. But yea his smaller TR also went with his background as a bounty hunter for the corrupted prison Warden. The only thing wrong was his Quick scoping, so the ADS change along with the TR increase made him a bad Killer to play.

  • @SgtMittens said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3140107#Comment_3140107

Agreed. Ranged attacks shouldn't get that kind of advantage. I've played Deathslinger with monitor and abuse and sure, that can be really fun but if they change it, oh well, life goes on. I'll have to try a little harder to catch them with his fishing pole.

Large TR is detrimental to Slinger because unlike Huntress and Tricky Boi he is a short to mid range Killer. Every Slinger I faced never once hit me with thier gum because I could hear him coming before he was even in range.

  • Whoops my bad I don't have that perk so I must of misheard but the point still stands though lmao

Your logic has flaws, one prevents people from playing the game at all (camping and tunneling) and yours is a mild inconvenience, but the fun part in most cases you can punish the survivors for it.

With the new anti camp perk you can punish finally. But its still a band aid fix...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3137644#Comment_3137644

You can bring this argument how much you want, but enjoy your long killer queues. Also instead of justifiyng such tactics, maybe for the fun for both sides, ask for... actually fun for both sides?

    It is actually possible. *Shrug*

Sadly they can't balance around fun because fun for one isn't for another.....Bully Squads have fun bullying and tormenting the killer but the killer doesn't find it fun while a killer could have fun being as sweaty and try hard as possible but the survivors may not find that fun..... unfortunately they have to balance around just balance fixes and that's it

  • @ad19970 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3137644#Comment_3137644

The less a killer camps and tunnels, the less such counter measures would affect him. It's quite simple.

Killers got a bunch of buffs that helped them in general, making their normal gameplay also more viable. Tunneling and camping are incredibly unhealthy and unfun strategies. No matter if someone calls them fair or not. They are obviously a constant frustration for survivor players, and it's showing now in particular, with the noticeable killer queue times increase.

So something needs to be done. There are enough ways to nerf camping while barely affecting normal playing killers. Even if they get affected a tiny bit, you know in those rare situations people can come up with, as people have when arguing that Reassurance needs to be nerfed, then that's not such a big deal either. Killers just received a bunch of buffs already. Survivors now need something in return.

What about times when camping is the valid strat like hooking in the middle of a 3 Gen defense for combo pressure or at end game when the only thing to do is camp.

This does help against face campers but also hurts those who only camp during the valid times.

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3138859#Comment_3138859

How about we don't nerf a Perk because the average Survivor can't hit a Skill-Check?

Isn't it supposed to be a very difficult skill check anyway?

  • @NerfedFreddy said:

Playing for the win shouldn't be reportable or punishable. They should rework whole 2v1 setup. Also it will fix slugging for 4k exploit

Not doing Gens is not playing for the win though that is literally holding the game hostage. If a survivor doesn't pregress the game through completing Gens.

Also as much as it sucks, slugging is not a exploit it's just another way for the Killer to progress their objective by killing the Survivors albeit a more hated method.

That was sarcasm Xane I really don't believe that in one but. I do agree they may of over nerfed a few perks but overall this is a good patch. What truly is making this patch bad are the whiners and quiters who are ruining the SoloQ experience by DCing or refusing to actually play the game normally. I yet to face one of these many campers that are apparently rampant that everyone is talking about

  • @Iron_Cutlass said:

Because it's fun, I can turn my brain of while playing killer and just have a fun time chasing people. Or I get a SWF together and play some survivor perk-roulette and have an absolute blast (perk-roulette in general is a blast, even for killer). Overall, things just get better when you stop caring so much about the game.

That's what I do as Killer is just be silly like chasing survivors but run past them and act like they are chasing me or Hook someone and then step back and nod at the survivor that thought they were hiding to rescue the one on hook etc...

  • @Phasmamain said:

Because I still have fun with it?

How dare you still have fun don't you know the patch ruined the game and is unplayable....there did I sound like the masses now.

  • The game is still fun and SoloQ has always been a bit crap, but I still solo Q and do decent just wish I stop getting teammates that decide to DC after their first down or suicide on hook...heck I wish they would just do Gens or helpe on gens because I'm sick of being the only one doing Gens and can pop out 3 gens myself

  • A perk should not completely counter another perk or a killer in general. Undetectable is just that undetectable, as it stands now are useless against a team using SpineChill.

  • @Biscuits said:

Somehow despite trying to "nerf" spine chill, it got buffed. It is technically better than it was before patch.

I played a ghost face game against just one person who had it, and she basically lost me the game on her own. I spent time looking for her every time I went to her gen, and it was enough that my momentum suffered heavily.

Its now full on Killer Radar and only because players said those with hearing issue use it to help them figure out if the Killer is approaching.

Now I support the creation of accessibility options but not in the form of perks especially when the mobile version has a completely viable option in the form of a visible heart on the Survivors.

  • Here's the thing Doc is one of my favorite Killers because of his style but his ability to "lockdown" pallets and vaults is very weak because of the detention delay and overall range. You either don't time it right and they still vault or drop or you do but your too far away to stop them or and this is my favorite is you do everything right and are close enough to stop them but they still drop in the middle of the scream animation.

His add-ons need some work too the only real viable ones imo are the files to add the effects to madness or if I feel like being a real nasty Doc is King and Queen (this is my go to combo because why not)

  • @Mister_xD said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3136344#Comment_3136344

It all depends on how excessively they were doing it.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with not touching a gen while it is infected, but not touching any generator for 15 minutes straight and only lockerjumping to avoid idle crows, yeah that is quite excessive and might be considered taking the game hostage.

It's a similar scenario to when only two players are left and both go hide somewhere to wait for the other one to die so they can take hatch - it's all fun and games at first, but if they continue doing so for too long, then they effectively put the game at halt for an undefinable amount of time for no real reason, which makes it bannable.

If what OP claims is true and they were really just lockerjumping for the first 15 minutes (and only stopped because one of them had been found), then that is definitely excessive enough to warrant reporting them and might just get them banned. It's like OP said, what if they didn't find one randomly? They would have kept hiding for an undefinable amount of time, in a worst case scenario OP might have had to DC because they just couldn't find anyone.

I agree just because gens are infected and a Survivor doesn't want to get infected is not a reason to not do gens and hide. I have reported similar players for doing the same thing but waited about 20mins but recorded everything.

  • I remember one time we were having fun with a Skybilly and he accidentally landed behind the exit door and we had to rescue him.

It was so fun he was banging on the door to let him out

  • @Taxman232 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/341525/is-this-reportable

Toxic but not ban-able. Stealth is a more legitimate strategy than camping/tunnelling.

Could be the case that they were avoiding getting infected noting plagues usually run thana.

If they don't do gens after so long it is considered holding the game hostage. The Killer can't progress the game at that point only Survivors and their refusing to do gens regardless of infection or not is considered that....now 15 mins I don't think is at that point yet but I know 20mins+ with no action on Gens and only hiding is.

My mind is supporting such a bad company to begin with for some free skins....I only had Prime Gaming once whenu phone plan gave it for me for free.....after they changed it to Hulu I was happy.

  • @Gorgonia said:

Considering the hatch doesn't spawn anymore until you're the last survivor. Slugging all 4 survivors and leaving them to bleed out is a type of "keeping the game hostage" behavior.

I would include a new mechanic:

If all survivors have been downed for 1 minute, they will die automatically and the trial is over. You give that minute for survivors to be able to use perks that allow them to get up by themselves.

That's sadly not keeping the game hostage because the bleeding will end the match.

And no that mechanic I wouldn't be able to force the killer to look for me the entire bleed out.

  • @KayTwoAyy said:

Because no one ever used it past noob rank. It has been a slept in perk until now, but with the increased use it will get a nerf probably because that is a strong percentage for the small requirements.

  • @Sluzzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3132087#Comment_3132087

You are admitting that killers should win regardless of how well or experienced of the survivors. There should not be a "power role", the better player should win. Just because you are the "1" does not mean you have a default win every game.

Yes Sluzzy in a game like DbD and VHS when it's a 1 v 4 situation the 1 has to be more powerful than the 4 to make up for being outnumbered. The perfect formula would be the 1 would be at 100% power while the 4 would be at 25% power. To make up for the weaker role they have to work together as a team and that's where survivors are failing ATM.

In all my SoloQ games I played since patch drop the same thing has been happening. I do 3 gens by myself while the others are either crouch walking everywhere, running straight for the killer to be killed asap, Dcing constantly, refusing to heal or get healed or running past me while working on a Gen while being chased by the killer. The patch didn't cause it to be worse for survivors.. survivors

-"BHVR is making a very bad judgement decision to not revert some of the killer buffs and survivor nerfs in the new update."

Do you notice how the queue times over the last few months have gone from 5-10 minutes to 15-30 seconds? This probably has something to do with people actually wanting to play killer. DBD doesn't work if everyone wants to play survivor. You can literally see that in action with the new VHS game on steam. That game is way too teen centric so nobody wants to play monster. The result is that you can wait in queue for 15 minutes to play teen to play a game that lasts 5 minutes. Sounds fun right? DBD used to have exactly the same problem.

Yea I tried it this past weekend and monster has a bonus to gains. But that game is more bully based than DbD. All the sounds in the game make it hard to determine if the sound was a teen or just the monsters big butt hitting stuff.

But overall it's fun with a different mechanic
