It's not about staying at rank 1. It's about how stressful it is and how much effort each side has to bring in to "enjoy" the game.

A rank 1 non nurse/billy player has to try harder than the average survivor.

Rank 1 is suposed to be challenging.

Other killers have to try "harder" because nurse is too op. Some people got used to her due to the amazing results and feel like other killers should perform the same way. A good nurse with a slug build can get 4 K in less than 2 or 3 gens in almost every match. I agree that rank 1 should be challenging. But it should be challenging for everyone. Not just killers.

It is, and when survivors have to face that nurse i was talking about it's extremely challenging/a certain death

Exactly what every killer should be . Unfortunately its not.

If every killer gets to be extremely challenging/a certain death... Dont you think that would mean it's unbalanced for the other side? Needs to be challenging for both.

This is supposed to be a horror game. Not Mortal Kombat. Where everyone can 1v1.

Killers should be OP. Survivors should be scared. But somehow the survivors convinced the devs that it should be the other way around.

Doesnt matter how powerful the killers are, this wont be a horror game because many other factors, like the light.
Killers got the upper hand already because they can kill while survivors can only run and escape, and maybe some occasional blinds.

Easy steps to turn this into a horror game:

    • remove terror radius
    • remove scratch marks
    • remove swf voice chat
    • remove aura reading
    • remove perks

Basically use the Hardcore mode i proposed so often.
Survivors will fear the killer but will also be able to hide better from the killer.

Yes, told you that would be an awesome mod. But making killers absurdly strong wouldnt make them scarier, that is different.

And hide and be stealthy or juke( Lose LOS and break the chase) . The whole point about survivor skill is to first not be found at all, then you have the map knowledge and similar stuff.

I didnt try to talk about all tactics, i think you know what i meant.

Every Killer should be certain death 1v1, because that's how asymmetrical games work. It shouldn't be even remotely challenging for the power role when it comes to 1v1 the other side. The fact that it's more efficient to have one person looping the Killer while everyone else works separately on generators means there's a big balance problem.

As i said once: if the survivor is skilled enough should be able to deserve better than a certain death, asymmetrical or not.

The problem is that when the killer is as skilled as the character allows them to be they are powerless if the survivors are better unless nurse and huntress (billy still gets looped but has his saw which mitigates it to an extent)

You can reach rank 1 and be succesful with any killer. Yes, the difficulty might be different, but it's real and has been proven.

Not to be killer biased but a single survivor should not be able to stall the killer . They should have to use mind games and wits to outplay the killer or be downed because the killer played better than them.

When it comes to survival everything can be used.

I know it's probably because Laurie has Decisive, but if that's the case, then man up and hold your position as killer!

What about taking your own advice ?

Man up and don't play with cancerous second chance perks.

Survivor gameplay is already easy enought as it is.

Arent you killers suposed to be a bit braver than that? Man up.
Not a single perk in this game is cancerous just because they've been used by cancerous people, you need to tell the difference. It's how you use those perks what makes you toxic or not.

What do you mean killers have to be braver? People playing killer arent actual killers just people looking to have fun which is impossible when you get looped and once you finally get the looper down they get a second chance.

I said killers because many people here seem to be worried about lore.
Do you get looped and kill just one or none in every match? You need to get better
You dont? Then dont make a big deal out of it when it happens.

Your behaviour only encourages to survivors to do everything you complain about.

I'm being reasonable. Expected behavior for Survivors is toxicity, plain and simple. OP seemed like a weak link, so the Killer tried to break it to have an easier time with the rest.

Off-topic: No stream today because my mod/BF isn't feeling well.

If you expect toxicity i honestly dont understand why you keep playing this game. You shouldnt tag all survivors as toxics.

Now having said that other people have made some good points but I'm not asking for a "free pip" if I get caught cuz I decided looping isn't fun for me or the killer and the killer decides he's to lazy to go look for other survivors cuz he wants his 1k I shouldn't lose a pip cuz the killer is garbage

Yes, how dare I suggest that you shouldn't get a pip if you're worse than a garbage Killer and didn't earn the pip. Can anyone post the link to that article about scrubs?

Careful now, you are not being reasonable.

  • I think it would make the game scarier, just as many people around have asked for. I dont really think making the killers stronger would make them scarier.
If there was some kind of extreme darkness mod would be awesome if it was something like this: killer should be able to see better since it's used to the darkness, survivors barely see but the longer they stay in the darkness the better they can see, completing a generator would reset the darkness tolerance (lets call it like that) since would generate light. If killer hits the survivor, the survivor would instantly get the borrowed time screen, allowing the survivor to see clearly everything around.
  • Meh, nothing can be done mate. It sucks when u get hooked and killer camps you with no reason other than secure the kill. Just depip and better luck next time.

  • As @245_Trioxin has said, taunting you with the flashlight and t-bagging is an ass behaviour, but 360s are not toxic at all, you just need to get better (i dont mean this in a bad way at all).
I've said this many times, but i'll say it again: not everything that bothers you is toxic, just because you find it annoying doesnt mean that survivor needs to get facecamped, so learn to tell the difference between a toxic behaviour and skills which annoy you.
This is a pvp game and i know you like to be succesful, but if you are gonna get mad for stuff like that you are not gonna enjoy the main purpose of a game, which is to have fun.

@Vietfox count me in with the SWF bashing. The whole game wasn't designed around the idea of survivor having voice communication anyway.
Also, I didn't noticed before playing killer more intensely last week, but SWF also ignore ranks !
Yeah, that's right, not only I was learning to play killer, and survivors where cheating already because of voice coms (I say cheating because they use a extern program for the communication, to have an edge on the game), but on the top of that I had many outranked people in my lobby (a rank 2 once) even though I was rank 15 !

Note that I was against SWF already, even when I wasa survivor main. Anyway I know people want to survive with their super dupper team of friends, so here's a deal:

    • Please do not try to bribe me with more blood points. I'm not SWF's people prostitute ... I play to enjoy my time, not to their enjoyment, nor to farm any kind of points.

    • As a novice killer I'd like to have fun learning the game. So I suppose, it should be easier for me to play against those cheating and odd-ranked SWF players. I propose that for each SWF teamate a player has, that player might have one less perk slot for the duration of the game. For example: if a player has 3 teamate (full team of 4 then), he have only access to 1 perk for the game. If there is 2 teams of 2 player each, all of them might have a maximum of 3 perks.

What i meant is comments like "oh i need swf to win" and stuff.
I absolutely agree that SWF needs a especial treatment, i've said that more than once. Me and some people have suggested to nerf survivors perks who are playing with friends, you suggest to remove 1 perk per friend, which i personally find too harsh, but it's your opinion.
PS: i wouldnt call using voice comms a cheat because you are not tweaking any game's code, but ok.
  • I read not long ago that killers do that when closing the app. Not sure if they used those words because i know no ######### about consoles, but i think they said it was that.
  • While playing as a huntres: 4 pizza dwights moving while crouched around the shack with the flashlights pointing the sky.

@HellDescent have you played survivor? 90% of the time, solo teammates are useless. It’s either every man for himself or a farmers convention. I understand that some SWF squads may be toxic (I’ve had my share of them as killer), but the majority of us are not. We just want to play with people who know what they’re doing instead of idiots who still run through all the hag traps under the hook at rank 1.

"waaah i need swf to win"

"waaah i need 4 solo survivors to win"

seeing as how that's literally what the game is balanced around omegalul

DBD is the most unbalanced game I know. The experience is horrible for high rank killers and for low rank survivors. Matchmaknig is so broken, its beyond believe.

If you ask me, the game went in the wrong direction long ago, I can only shake my head when it comes to decisions like global hex notifaction giving away all information or stuff like that. Playing survivor has become so easy I do it with one hand while eating or typing at the phone.
Playing killer is either easy AF if you play on low rank or you face bully squads you dont stand a chance. The survivors decide how the game is gonna go, not the powerole in the game (funny eh?)

Doesnt help either that certain "humans" advertise toxicity in their channels that is in the game now too

Can't do that as killer tho. Need both hands.

We all agree that the game is unbalanced. But somehow we keep playing.

OP, camping means usually losing as killer. But sometimes it's the only thing left to do.
    Also everyone defines camping differently.
For some it's still camping, even if the killer is at the other end of the map.

We all agree that the game is unbalanced. But somehow we keep playing.

OP, camping means usually losing as killer. But sometimes it's the only thing left to do.
    Also everyone defines camping differently.
For some it's still camping, even if the killer is at the other end of the map.
    I said during a chase.
Yes, i do know about the drink cause i do it pretty often when playing dbd, but in especific moments, not while repairing a gen because i need one hand to hold m1 and the other one for the spacebar. It's easier for survivors cause they can hide in a corner and do it, killer's role demands to keep looking for survivors, chase them, etc... Basically keep moving. So just because a survivor can drink while playing doesnt mean it's easier, means that they are able to hide for a while and stay there because it's part of their role.

This game needs a hardcore mode.
No SWF, no perks, no heartbeat, no scratch marks, no aura reading, etc.

Players could get a bp bonus for playing and an additional bonus if they play with/against normal players and/or swf.
That would be awesome. Post it in the wishlist if you havent already.

You are back on the track, arent you?
Read what you quote, @ACEvHEARTS is not saying that needs swf to win, ace needs non-dumb people as teammates. You should support that since you never miss a chance to bash on swf. Meeting smart teammates would reduce the need of playing with friends.
I disagree though with the 90% thing, is not that bad
  • @ACEvHEARTS said:
No killer would opt in. The game would quickly see a sharp decline in survivor players. KYF doesn’t appeal to people because you don’t earn anything and thus can’t level up.

Honestly, you just have to use your best judgment in the lobby and dodge if the team looks shady. That’s all you can really do.

There is a good reason why kyf doesn't grant you any rewards. So why should swf? When there is an unfair advantage.

Because in swf you "cant" farm
  • @HommeBizarre said:
Instant black pip and we will deal with it,

wait what are you suggesting? im a survivor main and dont understand. do you mean if they leave the lobby they get a de pip

I think op means that doesnt matter how bad goes the match, killers never get to de pip when playing against swf. I think it's ok.

Do what you want. But don't expect survivors to give you a free sacrifice if you can't kill anyone during the match.
And don't expect gratitude from them. They might even insult you for giving the hatch.
Excuse me, but i have done that many times as a survivor, especially to the ones who didnt camp, who doesnt give up after eating 10 pallets and yet play "fairly" or are clearly newbies. When i'm solo it's just me, but when being on SWF all our team has sacrificed in some of these matches.

Does this happen often to other Lauries? I know it's probably because Laurie has Decisive, but if that's the case, then man up and hold your position as killer!

The killer decides whether he wants to play against you.

Telling the killer to man up is quite funny, because its usually the survivors who DC every seccond game because they play against a doc/nurse or missed their DS and got downed.> @Vietfox said:

I highly doubt the killer dodged you for laurie though. I just guess he didnt like it that you switched too late, or he was gonna leave anyway at 15 sec timer because you didnt ready up to prevent quickswitching.

Mabye another survivor had laggspikes too

Some survivors do DC as well, no complaints here, but that doesnt justify killers dodging either. I find funny when someone wants to play as a killer but takes time to cherry pick each team. I've never seen any killer from a movie not going for especific characters because they are afraid of them.
PS: you dont know if op waited till the end to switch. After a match my game sometimes automatically switches to dwight and i've pressed ready before i notice it.

Well killers from movie are powerful and can go confident into the movie, they dont need to fear beind blinded by flashlights or survivors they already killed magically being healed again

I dont know because op didnt mention it, but I highly doubt that the killer lobby dodged because he didnt want to verse a laurie

They get rekt in different situations and yet they keep chasing their prey. MM for instance.
  • After playing this game for a bit, I kind of want to make up some ideas for it as well. A whole new survivor, I don't have a name or backstory, but I have their role in the team and how they play. Here are their perks first:

    Hasten Yourself

The killer's presence is a frightening experience, and you make haste to lose them without being seen. Walking speed is increased by 20%(1) - 30%(2) - 35%(3) when healthy and inside of the killer's terror radius.
This perk has no effect while injured, dying, or hooked.

    Take Charge

When the situation outcome is looking grim, you harness your inner courage to lead your team to freedom. You and nearby allies within a 4(1) - 7(2) - 9(3) meter radius receive a 8%(1) - 14%(2) - 20%(3) increase to repairs, healing, disarming, and cleansing when at least two allies are injured, dying, or hooked.
This perk has no effect while injured, dying, or hooked.

    Find Your Way

Avoiding trouble isn't an issue for you, and some of it will rub off on your friends. Unhooking another survivor causes the killer's aura to be revealed to you and the unhooked survivor for 6(1) - 8(2) - 10(3) seconds. Find Your Way has a cooldown of 75(1) - 60(2) - 45 seconds.

The role of this survivor is to take advantage of the killer's progress and use it against them, while being their source of valuable buffs. But if they are exposed or hit, their abilities are disabled. This survivor sort of acts like a mixture of Dwight Fairfield and David King, buffing nearby teammates while also having a risky playstyle that makes them rely on the presence of their teammates for most of the match. Let me know what you think.

P.S. I don't know if this is the right category to post this in, but regardless, here it is.

All of them are too op in my opinion.
About the Haste one... You mean walking or both walking and running speed? Because if it's the 2nd one that's ridicously op. Killer wouldnt have a chance to get you.

EDIT: ok i realized it says "without being seen" so it's something similar to urban evasion"

I get fun is subjective, but some people shouldnt be so worried for that. I've been destroyed by those squads more than once and i couldnt care less, hell, i'm also having fun when that happens. I take it as a way of learning and if i see that i have no chance i even "play" with them, like doing moonwalking or nodding at the end of the match.
I get some people takes this game more seriously than me, probably most of them, but it's not healthy when it's taken way too seriously.

If you know fun is subjective, why do you offer your perception of fun as being relevant to what other people consider fun?

Because as i said at the end, it's not healthy when it's taken too seriously, not for them nor for the community

Why do you confuse "wanting fun matches" with "fear"? I don't have fun against a flashlight squad, even if I kill everyone. I also don't have fun against a bunch of newbies. I don't dodge, but I can hardly blame people for doing so when they know it's not gonna fun.

I think people on here need get over themselves and just take stuff with a grain of salt and think about how it effects both sides like if you had a buff/nerf idea but you play a lot of killer and want it for a killer make sure it’s not unfair for survivors or too big a buff that will make it the new sprint burst I didn’t start this to cause a argument btw but I have a feeling I’ll see a few survivor/killer mains in the comments saying “I sense a killer/survivor main” or “git gud” or if I’m lucky people who actually agree this forum needs more mods or something to counter the amount of bait, hate, or trolls on the forums.

You are the one who OP is talking about xD.
Sure, show us how you type on your phone while in a chase.

There's a huge correlation between the two.

You don't want to argue nor listen to someone else, all you do is nitpicking in other's post and create strawman with nothing.

You act like this game is balanced and not plagued by toxicity, laughtable.

A free undeserved escape in this already unbalanced game isn't toxic ? And of course overused by toxic people ?

If you can't see this, nothing i can do for you.

One time use perk, can fail, and i failed it's permanently gone.
There are toxic people, but let's not pretend all of them are, shall we? Either 4ds squad survivors or killers who constantly hit you while being hooked till you are dead.
Take it easy and dont overreact just because you have to face those squads. Grow up.

Huge time wasted for the killer by just pressing a skillcheck (who doesn't take skill at all) because the killer outplayed you by catching you.

And stop with this "Neutrality Bias", everyone who has played this game a bit perfectly know where the VAST majority of toxicity come from.

And not only by playing killer, even by playing survivor you will understand that your "teamate" are more often than not as much as an opponent then killer.

    I wonder why...

Killers cannot mechanicaly do that much toxic things btw.

They can also spam mori and stuff. Also remeber that there are 4 survivors per killer, so yeah, u can see that more often from survivors and because the got more tools. Would be funny to see what some killers would do if they had them.
The main point is that you gotta get over it. A nurse with ebony mori is basically a 4 K match (unless she's a total potato). Am i asking to remove mori from nurse? No
The nurse is one of the few killers who can get 4 K against SWFs, meaning that they are especially op against solos. Am i asking to nerf the nurse so it can be a bit more balanced towards solos? Again, no.
Survivors gotta deal with some #########, so do the killers.

I'm used to see this for a long time now.

    Cya, in another sterile argument.

Your opinion is reinforced with other people's opinion.
So what if you had to deal with those squads? I had to as well and i'm not crying for DS to be removed because i can tell the difference between toxic people and "toxic perks", you apparently can't.

I will stop you right here, i play this game since it's release.

Mainly playing killer, i've been throught ALL the bullshits this game and survivors had to offer.

Squads with 4 x instant DS, infinites, ... the list goes on.

So you impliying it's some sort of lobbyism by the killer's community just make me laught.

Whereas survivors usually do it in the most disgusting way (looking at you, Freddy...)

I'm know waiting for the usual :

    "JuSt bReAk thE PalLEt "

    "PaLetT ArE MindGaMes "

"I play this game since it's release" is this a dick size contest now?

Decisive Strike is toxic by essence.

If you don't see the problem with it, you're part of the problem.

And survivors telling killers to man up just make me laught.

Knowing this game's balance since release, saying that is basically trolling.

I get that DS can be annoying, but nothing else, broken isnt =  to annoying. I'll say it again: it's not a toxic perk, it's toxic if you use it, then flashlight to the killers face, t-bag and stuff.
Why am i part of the problem? Because i disagree with you? Okay...
I get it, you like to play as a killer and you embraced what many other killer mains said, now it's become a general thought. Reminds me of that quote "a lie told once remains a lie but a lie told thousand times becomes the truth".
When i play as a killer i can deal with those "toxic" builds, why can't you? Just grow up.

Survivor gameplay is already easy enought as it is.

Not a single perk in this game is cancerous just because they've been used by cancerous people, you need to tell the difference. It's how you use those perks what makes you toxic or not.
