Buddy... I meant this was already posted there... we are posting in it right now... in off topic...
Wait, are off-topic and discussions in the same link? I clicked on this from the menu, where I always go to discussions, to the point that I don't notice text. The forums really need to make links more clear.
-
The header for it is "Hey, that's not DBD related!" so I'm pretty sure
-
While I do support you, shouldn't this be in off-topic since it's not DBD related?

@chieften333 Clown's ether 5 vol% has a different description (rework being somewhat leaked early)

You should be a happy consumer, because this entire game is geared towards you specifically, everyone else gets screwed over. Fashion by Daylight is where the real gameplay is at.

I agree, this killer is extremely good, if not probably overpowered once learned. Killer mains are bellyaching because she is not an ez 4K on the first day. Nothing new today.
pressure is infinitely better than chasing, and this killer has little pressure, despite the fact that the pounce has a built in pressure system, also generalization leads to toxicity. Going by the logic of your comment, i'll say all survivor mains defend the devs at all cost, and complain when they don't get an EZ escape. Nothing new today.

For seriously?
Why?
The truth is already put on the table.
no body want to play killer.
We can find a lobby in 3SEC as killer even a new killer is release.
no body want to play killer.
So why DEV still not doing anything to make people want to play killer?
I really can't understand.
Even if Dev really love survivors much much more than killer.
It is still a big problem for waiting 10MINs to find a lobby as survivor.
So why Dev still not doing anything about that?
survivors make up the majority of the playerbase, their are more cosmetics given to survivor than killer. they treat survivors nicely because they make the devs the most money.

A Killer can win without tunneling, Survivors cannot win without doing Gens.
EDIT: And also... Just look at the number of DS-Complaints. Quite a bunch of Killers tunnel :^)
First of all, While I personally don't tunnel much (take that as you will, but that's not important), I actually feel the need to tunnel IF someone has DS, because it can ######### me over in the late game if I'm not carful. Get it out of the way early, then the match is already looking better.
My main point thought is that your generalization of killer is SUPER ######### STRONG here, and you show very blatant extreme survivor bias. I personally don't give a damn if a killer tunnels me, that just means I can get into another match quicker :^)
"A killer can win without tunneling, Survivors cannot win without doing Gens" and you are right, but a survivor can win without DS, a killer cannot win without killing.
This may be a very unrealistic bit of hope, but I want BOTH sides to have as much of an enjoyable experience, but that can't really happen when people are short-sighted and unwilling to understand both sides.
I understand where you are coming from, you don't want power to be taken away as survivor, but here's the thing...
...The killer's job in order to win is to remove as much power from survivors as possible, while the survivor's job is to keep as much power as possible. In some cases (of course not all obviously) tunneling and camping is necessary to win, just as how sometimes making matches 5 minutes long doing gens fast is necessary to win as survivor, that's what this game boils down to, yet you complain about killers removing your power and agency from the match, then say it's always their fault, because they don't play how you play. Guess what bud, you can't tell other players what to do. Either complain about it to the devs and not the players, or deal with it. You can always just make your own game :^)

If someone is unironically using the Term "Genrush", they already show that they dont understand that they (as: the person who is playing Killer) are responsible for slowing down the Speed of Gens. They even have some, really good, Tools to help them.
Genrush is the product of bad map pressure, because you cannot expect Survivors to do anything else when the Killer is not doing anything to get them off Gens.
When it comes to camping Killers - some people are mad about stupid reasons. It might be possible that not you, yourself are the problem, but maybe they needed to vent. Not going to say that this is a good thing to let it out on the next Survivor they hook, it clearly isnt, but who knows. IMO those Killer players seriously need to git gud, same like Survivor players who are mad about a Killer killing them in a game which involves one side killing the other side. (I dont mean you, OP, with that, just as a general thing when I see Survivors who get mad about getting killed)
People are way too sensitive for things that are just part of the game.
Sometimes it's literally impossible for killers to pressure everyone at once, unless they play absolutely perfectly AND get lucky to find someone early without perks. I like to think that you are knowledgeable, and don't believe this yourself, but there are some players that literally think that pressuring survivors is something that you can just do on the fly with no effort. The only way to slow down the early game as killer is to down and hook 2 survivors in the first minute. (on a slightly different note unrelated to your comment) Yes, if a killer tunnels a survivor, the others can do gens quickly and easily, but at the same time, if a killer never bothers to purse a chase like quite a bit of survivors are requesting, it leaves no one dead with the game dragging on. But since no killers can't be everywhere at once (a very few can check most gens quickly, but not on a dime), gens will get done until the game becomes boring for everyone.
I think some people on both sides don't think about what they talk about.

Anecdotal evidence is not evidence, you are not proving anything other than that you play one side more than the other side.

Just to establish some minimal credibility: i have played this game since its release, i used to really tryhard at this game as the Nurse, but stopped as i just didn't have time anymore. i have seen most changes in the metas and played thousands of games from both sides. Anyhow back to the topic.
Throughout the years of DBD we have seen so many new killers with fun abilities, may it be dancing with a chainsaw or a remote controlled baby there is so much content, but only for killers. Survivors has only seen new perks throughout all the years of this game. There also seems to be a trend to nerf survivors to buff killers, removing pallets and infinites/safe spots are a good example.
Survivors also have to deal with disconnects, which is in most cases against a sentient killer an instant loss.
Survivors have to deal with tilted killers, lets say you run them for a little while and hit them with the head on. You can get facecamped, with absolutely no counterplay.
Ebony mori, an instant win card, although they changed it to require some effort from the killer, the situation feels hopeless, and very unfun. An argument can be made for the survivor keys, but in a game where the killer has an ebony and some good items (looking at you huntress) the killer wins.
They even added a new obstacle, just for killers!
All this combined makes the survivor experience, especially in soloQ very unpleasent and undynamic. Less bloodpoints, the possibility of uncarryable games where your teammates decide to troll or just a killer decided to use their good items, no (big) changes over many years of game development, ect.
I think more content needs to be added for survivors, give us new ways to outplay and maybe new objectives as well. For now, killer is by far the most enjoyable role of all ranks.
Thanks for reading
killer makes me want to mori myself. you can only play 4 killers at high ranks and having to counter a 4-man swf with keys and toolboxes and with a PHD in geology and cartography in this game, t-bagging you at every corner then call you a f****t in the end game chat. Most killers don't bring moris because they can't play the game, or feel like they need it, they use it when they become tired of the survivors ######### and want payback. Also, you do know that breakable walls hurts killer more than helps them right? They either deal with an infinite, or guarantee losing a chase by going out of their way to break them.
I'm not saying survivors don't have problems, or even saying they don't have as many problems as killer, but the only way to not feel bored or the game being unfair is to commit Civ 5 and leave. I wish this game is better, but the only way to show that is to leave the game, as playing the game shows that you support their practices. Unfortunately, despite what other people are saying, this game is not dying. In fact, it is currently at it's most amount of players playing, so they will not change for quite a while.
I'm just saying that don't you dare say that killers has it easy, as both sides are suffering equally.

new killer is an m1 killer, since survivor just needs to press space on a locker to stop her in her tracks

-
I personally don't care what comes in, but it's still fun to make predictions! I think it's going to be an original wendigo, not the until dawn one, because the arm is to short, and they never make a teaser for licensed killers since the pig.
-
It could be the folklore wendigo, not the Until Dawn Wendigo. The idea of a wendigo is still plausable. Until Dawn did not create Wendigos...Wendigo.

Maybe 1 out of the 10 most recent games I've played, has the killer approached the exit gate. Even then, it was only with like 15 seconds left on the timer.
Killers don't go to exit gates for 1 to multiple reason that can include but not limited to:
- Feel their failure being rubbed in their face by t-bagging survivors looking for attention
- don't want survivors milking them as much as they can for every single bp
- farming dropped pallets or breakable walls (or power related like plague pools, trapping, teleporting, etc.)
- watch something else more entertaining like watching videos
- deprive survivors of attention because they think survivors already got enough for a match
Unless the killer is/about to preform a cunning tactic, there is no reason for them to go to open gate, unless killers desperately want the match to end

First of all, that part was a joke, calm down. Second, I didn't mean "through" the bushes, i mean that some have just enough space apart where survivors can squeeze through them, but not killers, aka fat shaming spots, and I didn't say ALL of them, and yes, there are bigger issues with the game, but it's part of the whole.
I didn't know that I was not allowed to complain, or point out problems on a forum meant specifically for it, but judging by your amount of posts, you probably either didn't no that, or are blissfully ignorant and blindly defend the devs because you are new. survivors are allowed to get keys in chest, yet complain about moris. Killers deal with bullshit all day, but when a survivor has a tiny bit of challenge against a killer, the killer is toxic and should be banned forever, according to them. The first time playing survivor after a few weeks yesterday, I get sandbagged and insulted for not being in their SWF group. Either I am extremely unlucky, or most survivors have no humanity.

Why oh why does this false insistence of Ruin being nErFeD persist?! Current Ruin is a nightmare to go against as a solo survivor (in comparison to old Ruin). I’d much rather be losing a small amount of progress on good skill checks, than be chased off a nearly completed gen and lose ALL progress because no body else jumped on that gen after me.
don't blame me. the devs call it a nerf.

I'm not convinced the balance is as bad right now as some on this forum would say, but I would be curious to see some sort of "early game collapse" like I believe the devs said they're considering. I bet they add something like that at some point.
people theorize that the killer event addon is a pseudo-test for some type of pressuring tool, but it's just speculation.

Of course they don't. I'm just saying they're not biased against one side or the other. They have every incentive to make the game fun and balanced for both sides.
And that's true! I'm not saying survivors should suck and killers be OP, not in the slightest. I want the game to be balanced between everyone Sometimes the devs either have good priorities, or bad priorities, even in the same update. I think that, at the time, was a bad time to change ruin. Granted, it led the the new ruin and undying meta today, but at the time, it felt like a betrayal.
Despite that, I do think one of the biggest problems that both sides face is the fact that matches go by too fast. It puts unnecessary stress on killers, and leads to very boring and uninteresting matches as survivor. They need to insert some sort of slowdown in any kind (most likely best at/near the beginning of the match) to not make matches go by in 5 minutes. (they need to do more than just lower the great skill check bonuses, they do everything they can that doesn't involve introducing a new mechanic that is very necessary, especially for major problems. The devs can be lazy sometimes)

Well, the main reason for changing Ruin was because it was singlehandedly stomping baby survivors with little effort needed on the killer's part. Killers didn't have complaints with it, of course, because it was the best killer perk in the game at the time. I don't even remember what they said about the changes, but if they just commented on how it would affect survivors that's probably because survivors were the ones complaining about it. That's also a very flimsy piece of evidence to seize upon in the greater context of changes to this game. Somebody probably just didn't communicate the changes well. Oh no.
Your right, the devs know everything that need changed and always knows what they are doing.

They somewhat hurt PH's ability to zone in exchange for a less punishing cooldown on POTD. The devs have stated it wasn't intended to be a nerf. I haven't played the updated version yet so I can't comment, but it's clear that the brief cooldown when coming out of Torment mode was necessary in order to prevent him from zoning. Doctor cannot zone so that's not really a good comparison.
They slightly nerfed Discordance; 96m is a massive distance, and will cover the entirety of pretty much every map unless you're in a corner. They also addressed killer complaints of Tier 3 being weaker than Tier 1, and of the loud notification spam being annoying. I don't think it's fair to ignore the QoL changes and only focus on the tiny nerf and try to say it's just hurting killer.
They buffed a number of perks for both sides in this update, but people are choosing to ignore this and complain about anti-killer bias, probably because the buffs weren't enough to make those perks meta. Let's keep in mind that none of the buffed survivor perks are going to be meta either. They're just buffing trash tier perks so that they're now usable, if only in niche builds. I think that's great.
I haven't played the new MacMillan maps yet, but you can't confidently say they're heavily survivor sided until killers and survivors both learn the maps.
It's interesting you're complaining about the Ruin update being so survivor sided when that was the same patch where they reworked and buffed Doctor. Ruin is also still strong enough to be meta, and it's much more balanced now because it rewards the killer for doing something instead of doing nothing. I think they did a great job with it.
I'm saying that they didn't describe how the ruin changes affects killers and survivors, they only say how this change benefits survivors, completely forgetting that killers exist for a moment. Most of what you said I've addressed in another reply.

You are overreacting.
The "Discordance-Nerf" was something which was asked a long time, now Tier 3 is as good as Tier 1. Also, to give a difference between the Perk Tiers, they added a Range for each Tier. While it would be nice to have the Range increased (someone mentioned 64/96/128), Discordance on Tier 3 with 96 meters is really enough and nobody will see any difference.
PHs Slowdown is fine, the Power should be used to get hits with the Power, not to have free Zoning by faking the Power. They also buffed the Cooldown after using the Power.
MacMillan-Maps are not heavily Survivor-sided. While I dont agree with the Breakable Walls (Main Buildings were fine), BHVR either thought that the Main Buildings are too weak and added a Wall to each of them (which, to be fair, would be a 1-time break) or they just wanted it as a feature on every Map. Let alone that once you broke the Wall on Storehouse, there is nothing in the Storehouse itself, since they removed both Pallets AND one of the most killer-sided Maps (Shelter Woods) did not get any of its issues fixed.
I dont think that any of the Survivor Perks will get more use after the Buffs, and I also think that Killers have more variety of Perks. And the PGTW-Buff will not change anything.
Overall, I am pretty sure that you dont know what you complained about in 1 week.
i didn't say it was big, I'm just saying it's still a nerf. Yes, they made it tier 1, which was better (this sounds strange to newer players, but trust us) The fact it continues to be yellow al long as they work on it until one lets go of it for 8 seconds, while is nearly the same as before, mostly just confuses the killer than it actually being worse. just ever so slightly lower the "off-gen" timer, and this perk will be less confusion (killers usually multi-task in a shorter time than survivor, that's what I mean by confusing)
What I mean by the maps is that survivors will have a blast hiding around (blendette's paradise). I'm not saying it's OP, but after all of these maps get reworked, killers will generally "see" survivors less often due to prominent flora and much more random debris.
Now, this is more personal, and I admittedly need more time to truly test this out, so don't take it too seriously, but I don't this the buff to PH's attack recovery isn't strong enough to coincide with the post-trail attack restrictions. In my opinion, they should have the current attack recovery apply when you hit a single survivor, and the old cooldown with multiple survivors, and make missing the attack around the same time as a normal m1 missed cooldown. Like Otz said, this killer will most likely turned into a killer that awkwardly stares at survivors, nonstop m2-ing them constantly, which I imagine is just as unfun than getting hit immediately after canceling, which defeats the entire purpose of the change, for PH to be slightly less annoying and unfair for survivors.
I'm not trying to antagonize survivors, I agree that survivors have equal amount of bullsh*t as killers do. Isn't the point of forums to see someone from a different point of view and see their thoughts to try to understand the bigger picture?
(also, the 1 week still applies to you too. you can't say that as a counter when everyone only had a week as of now.)

it depends on what you mean. do you consider me trolling because it's too crazy to be real, or consider me trolling for overreacting according to you? I want to give you a proper answer.

They nerf discordance, the only alright legion perk, now there is a maximum distance, for the cost of the killer having no idea how long a survivor has touched the gen (at least you can upgrade it to tier 3 and get positive effects than negative).
They also added a slowdown on top of the attack restriction for PH (it's fine for doctor to move at full speed, but not PH?)
Everything else is the same, they turned all Macmillian estate maps from slightly killer sided to heavily survivor sided. All survivor perks they touched on this update has been buffed, and nerfed PGTW without nerfing DS (they are used just as much and are similar perks to each other, about wasting the other side's time) The only perks they buffed for killer is so little it's barely noticeable.
Just another blatantly survivor sided update like the ruin change months ago.

Adhere to the regulations, don’t be toxic
Play your game and let them play theirs.
No matter what, don’t be rude & have fun!
while I agree with you, being toxic isn't a set and stone thing, as it depends on what people consider toxic. People may think running ds and unbreakable inside a locker/running noed and tunnel/camp is toxic, others stretch it to be just playing the game to be toxic. What if you do something generally considered toxic, but not yourself? even if you know what you are doing, who is going to know about it other than the person intentionally being toxic?
Once again, I agree with you, it's just it's not so simple to just "not be toxic".

Honestly I love playing The Demogorgon I enjoy maining him but he could definitely have some buffs to his kit. (Please don't unleash the wrath of the internet on me for having my own opinion)
- Undetectable. The detectable status from his portals is very short and experienced survivors will just hear his super loud footsteps. I think that your detectable status lasts for 4-5 seconds instead of 2 on default, and while you're undetectable footsteps should be silenced.
- Shred. His Shred attack in my opinion is pretty balanced it's able be used to end chases faster and can be dodged by survivors.
Tldr: To balance The Demogorgon I think that his footsteps should be made quieter or silenced while he is undetectable, and Shred is OK as it is. (Keep in mind this is all my opinion.)
other than increasing the undetectable time, just make it to where you can't constantly hear him map wide for the entire match.
