It won't create diversity. You're going to see almost exclusively Spirits, then Billy's, and just random killers after that. And when everyone gets bored of only being able to play Spirit there are a few things that could happen:
1.)Killers derank so they can actually have fun and not sweat 24/7 and then lower rank survivors get even more upset than they are now (solo is bad but SWf is the devil)
2.) Killers leave the game (I plan to if the changes are as bad as I think) and soon there won't be many killers on and those who do play won't want to get bullied for hours in a row and play less/quit
Oh my, you realize what you are saying is already the case for sweaty Killers. They'll play whatever the top 3-4 Killers are. Nurse being taken out (if she even is taken out) simply means Freddy or Hag may show more often for people who don't like Spirit or Billy.
Same with Meta Perks for Survivors. You nerf them and new ones just fill the old shoes. Good thing most matches are not sweaty 4 man SWF groups. Can't say the same for Killers. Even Purple ranks is Spirit land even before the Nurse nerfs... cause she is easier to play for a large reward.

We depip when we 3k 50% of the time.
So you think the average should be 4K?!? That explains a lot. You do realize Survivors want to win some to... right? And getting a 2K is a good match?!? Typically 0K and 4K matches would be considered bad matches. A 3K match is already Killer favored. As 1K would be Survivor favored.

Red rank SWF is still as strong as ever.
Isn't the average 3K now? Strong as ever?!? Totally not.

The SS Rank Killer for years is getting nerfed... that actually could create more diversity. She may no longer be god tier and some will leave her to play other picks.
-
Base Nurse was SS tier for years. Survivors have been brought down several pegs. The idea people are enraged about this Killer getting dropped down a peg or two herself is hilarious. You can't have a Killer SS tier when Survivors were at their strongest point be the same power level when Survivors have been brought down to their weakest point they have been at.
-
Where's S and SS tier? She still ignores the basic defense mechanics of a Survivor.
-
Base Nurse is SS tier for years with Survivors being toned down over this time period. Clearly she doesn't need nerfed... cause Killer bias.
-
The SS tier Killer for years with just her base power level is getting nerfed. I mean, what did you expect?
-
You have two players out of the match right there, leave him/her. I personally crawl to their feet if I'm running that perk that let's you recover from dying state. I'll probably end up trading places with them, but at least I give them a shot to actually play the game against a camper.
-

Or maybe most of the survivor side of the game is really bad.
SPOILER!
They are.
That applies to Killers as well. Maybe they're not getting constant 4Ks cause they're actually not that good. I wear flamboyant clothes in this and have loss Killers standing in the open.
I personally have tracking issues as Killer (don't use headphones), and I recognize that hinders me as Killer. But Hag is typically easy games. I can't imagine the cake walk of Billy, Nurse, and Spirit. May as well play Farmville at that point.
-
You mean the SS tier Killer back before all the Survivors nerfs is getting nerfed now when she was viewed as the 4K killer back before numerous nerfs to Survivor's core perks and game play over the years?!?!
I... am... so... not... shocked. It was bound to happen. I mean... come on... she was SS tier for years.
-
What about Prayer Beads? Spine Chill or Premonition are really the only way to counter that dumb add on.
-
SS - Nurse
S - Spirit, Billy
A - Hag, Huntress, Freddy
B - Plague, Myers, Demo, Ghost Face
C - Wraith, Doctor, Pig
D - Trapper, Leatherface, Clown
F - Legion
Don't have the most experience with Demo (only videos of it) and new Freddy. (2 matches as, a couple against)
-
i HATE Prayer Beads. She's a strong Killer already, that add on makes her obnoxious.

I cleanse totems either way, for the bps.
Might aswell get a heal from them
Issue is that your allies may deny you or you may deny other's their Inner Strength just trying to farm some points. Or a IS user may leave totems for later for another token then forget the location and the team gets a NOED in their faces later. You're also denying Altruism points with the self heal as well. it certainly isn't the worst of the 9 perks by any margin, but it has some draw backs for sure.
-
I'm not too bothered by Rancor though it does feel cheap or suck to receive a Rancor mori when the Survivor didn't run any Obsession perks. I had one match where a Clown gave up cause he was failing to get hooks on the other Survivors that had flashlights with them. He just wandered around and didn't attack anyone, and I felt bad for him. Well here he comes with 1 Gen left and I realize the danger I'm in if I pop the Gen so I hide. The other 3 pop a gen across the map and light me up for him to see. He quickly stomps my head. He apologized in the after chat (unprovoked to do so) but it still sucked hard.
Overall though, i don't mind the perk and don't really want to see it nerfed. At least it isn't Ebony Mori or Prayer Beads level of obnoxious!
-
I played him for awhile even with his distinguished look among the others. I liked what i knew of the character and his hair was less likely to clip through the fog and give you away from across the map like Jake or Dwight;s hairdos like to do at times.
I'm happy to see he may get a facial!
-
Better Together - Pretty pointless. It's like if Bond and Kindred had a baby. Bond does the nearby aspect better while the other part is only useful to see if someone else is rushing for the save.
Fixated - Seeing your own marks seems pointless, seeing other's may of been neat. The walking speed may help a little, but you'd better off stealthing with Urban Evasion since you're a smaller target.
Inner Strength - Not really seeing anything too exciting for this one, but it isn't bad. Totems are a limited resource and have to be found before others break them.
Babysitter - Too short of a time for the marks and blood to not be left. 8 seconds?!? And you're letting the Killer know where you are and whether you went to heal them off the hook. I like the idea of it, but it seems they played it rather safe/weak.
Camaraderie - Very situational, doesn't offer that much for a once in a match perk.
Second Wind - May be pretty useful, probably the best of the Survivor perks. Hopefully can pull off some escapes/heals from camper/tunnelers if the map/area allows for it.
Surge - Meh. I think I'd rather run Pop Goes The Weasel instead of this one.
Cruel Limits - Probably won't be useful most of the time while offering some times where it helps you trap someone. Situational but the idea is interesting.
Mindbreaker - Seems mostly like a anti-Sprint Burst perk or to slow people down from hopping back on gens so they can get over the Exhaustion first. Nothing amazing as it mostly sounds like a annoyance for Survivors than anything else.
My personal thoughts as of now.
-
So a video with the Survivors really "gen rushing" a DBD celebrity showcases how strong Survivors are when he still killed 3 of them and almost got the 4th? Also note the Killer is new and the player doesn't have tons of experience with him. Like I get that gens can go super fast, but how much are people going to ignore that Survivors can get wiped just as fast?

Hmm I have the opposite problem killer is hell and survivor is a cake walk for me
You're probably new to Killer or play SWF. Killers have gotten tons of buffs over the year (s?!?) I've been playing with Survivor getting nerfed just as much as the Killers got buffed. Ya, I'll occasionally go against a swat team of Survivors, but most matches I feel bad if I play my main. I may get destroyed on newer killers I'm trying like Plague or Ghost Face at times.
Easy to snowball though. If I could play Hag at Rank 1 year(?!?) with mild success (remember she was about 100x weaker), I sure as hell can do good now with how much catering that side has gotten over time.
But to be fair, I have gotten or went to Rank 1 in awhile on either side as I play less. But even the data the devs shared indicated even the weakest Killers are killing more than the 2K. Combine with Killer's long Q's (pushes me away from that side atm) and there's an indication of one role taking on the much more desired spot.
-
Meh, at most I'd say Killers shouldn't be able to see the profile names and link to their profiles for Survivors. Not a huge deal though.
Only positive of removing seeing the Survivor is those ANNOYING Leatherface players who switch to him when they see a Jake to face camp him "cause I need the cosmetic." Makes you feel punished for not being another Meg/Nea/Claud.
-
I disliked the cheese of old Legion, but I find the new Legion unbearable to play. Also, don't be a Susie. Susie is the worst.

To be fair, both sides don't really know what they are talking about. I remember stun when teleporting Hag as well as old Mint Rag where Teleport was also Space Bar where you'd end up teleporting across the map instead of picking someone up or vaulting a window. Hilarious times.
Times newer players or greedy players ignore in their conquest of my side got to be OP cause I can't handle losing some matches.
Calling the Hag weak in this current era is laughable and seems to indicate the player has no idea what they are remotely speaking about in terms of the Hag and how far she has come. But also it's a bit weird to be picking Hag and these addons when the Nurse and Hillbilly were already considered "strong, border OP" back before the Survivors ate a buffet of all you can eat nerfs.
-
I feel a lot of people defending the combo aren't Hag players or are a bit high on her power level. She has gotten nothing but buffs and is a monster. She was my main for quite some time before she got dump trucks of buffs and Survivors got nerfed followed by nerfs with a side of nerfs. I'd probably feel guilty playing her now with the state of things till I got to the higher ranks.
On the other hand, this is a rather rare and particular combo that actually feels over kill anyway. Just using her Yellow or Green add on are enough for a easy win in most matches, going rarer really ain't needed! Don't really think of it as a high priority on the nerf or change list. Much bigger fish need fried!
-
When I play Killer, I been trying to use him. I got easy 4K or spared some people for most matches. The game has gotten so much easier for Killers over time, but I did get stomped in my most recent match pretty bad. Won't lie, I was a little salty! As Survivor, I typically can't break his stealth even if I'm standing 5 feet from him and end up a slug at his feet. Then sometimes as him, I feel they are sniping me across the area!
Overall though, Killer Que times make the role less appealing. But I find Survivor side rather depressing with pretty consistent team wipes. (I solo)
-
I'd rather them scrap the space bar mashing thing first off.
I'm guilty of KOBE at times. There are some matches you don't want to be part of or know you aren't getting saved. Typically I try to stay hopeful (like the entity wants) and stick around for most matches, but there are cases where it's really best to just take the entity abduction ticket sooner rather than later.
Examples - I'm basement hooked against Myers. I'll suicide after they get a gate opened so they just leave me. Otherwise it's probably a team wipe.
Only me and one other Survivor left and the Killer is stomping hard and seems to be watching for the rescue. No reason for me to likely doom the other player trying to save me, good luck finding the hatch first.
After being hooked, I find out two allies are hiding in a corner. One eventually comes over to me as the Killer comes back. I go down as soon as I get unhooked and rehooked. I now see the players still crouch walking around with the Killer no where close to them. No gens are done, Ruin is up, and at best I'll be saved right before Sacrifice to likely be tunneled again. No thanks, have had a couple Rank 19 ally matches recently... not fun.
Killer is running a Ebony Mori and has mori'd two allies and hooked the other person. I save them and they are downed later. The Killer leaves them slugged and later downs me and hooks me. I notice they are carrying the other survivor to me to unhook me so they can Mori me. No thanks, I'll die and hopefully they'll wiggle free and have a chance at the exit.
Rare cases of a Survivor helping a Killer, not staying there for them both to farm me.
And some times, if I've had a bunch of rough matches and then go against a super sweaty Killer using a strong Killer with OP offerings (think Prayer Spirit or Mori Prestige Nurse with +blinks) and stuff goes bad fast. I'll take the Entity's exit to get to go to hopefully a more enjoyable match. Not something to do often, but there are times you get beaten down in this game where you get axed early many matches in a row or get a bunch of 0K with some nasty attitude Survivors that you just don't really want bullied for another one.
-
I've done this with Pig before. And have had Pigs do it with me. And then there was a few times where a Survivor and Pig crouched walked into someone not seeing them and got scared. I've been on all sides of that jump scare and it made for some cute moments.
I'm looking forward to reliving some of this with Ghost Face.
-
I only hate Prayer Bead Spirit. It's fun to use when I'm her, but it's never fun to go against.
-
Not sure, I kind of rather him get something unique instead of stepping on Hag or Trapper's shoes with the snare or Doc's with the pallet.
-
The description even matches up to it being a bad add on to use. Lol.
-
I've played plenty of both sides to know... both sides are toxic. Anyone trying to defend their side is bias. Though who needs to point that out to those people, it's already clear as day.
I have had Killers make death threats to me, I have had Killers rage quit when certain maps load or their totem is destroyed or gates are powers or they ate a pallet stun, I have had Killers intentionally make people bleed out to death instead of ending the game with a hook, I've had Killers work with a Survivor to kill the others off, I've had Killers smacking people on the hook merely cause they played a certain Survivor and boast about it post game, and I've seen plenty of GG EZ type post games from Killers as well.
I have also had threats from Survivors, plenty of rage quits when they go down, I've had matches stalled cause Survivors refused to leave without tea bagging first (before end game), I've had Survivors sand bag me/others or farm people on hooks, I've had Survivors that intentionally lead Killers to others, and I've had plenty of Survivors even attacking other Survivors in post game chat for not saving/doing enough.
But one thing I do want to note, is that how I play... I often don't get attacked as a Killer cause I don't camp/tunnel. Even if I 4K, I'm usually met with silence or gg's/you scared me type stuff. And usually the only attacks from Killers I get when I'm Survivor are when they are baiting for salt or are upset they didn't get the 4K especially when they used a Ebony Mori.
So some people just need to rethink if they get salty players all the time... maybe they are part of the issue themselves.Though i will say whenever I use Urban Evasion... I tend to get hate from both the Survivors and Killer even if I did all the gens that got done and made saves. There's a very... negative outlook on UE.

don't ######### up then?
outside of terror radious is too much, too far, depends on long the perk will last but if it'S outside the terror radious only, what if you are on the other side of the map? pointless, yes you know they are there but they are long gone, so keeping it at any range would make it better and punish those who want to work on a gen when the killer is chasing somebody next to them
Never get in a chase you say? LOL
I've ran the Lithe/Dance With Me/Quick & Quiet combo. That combo would literally have 0 point and be even more situational and dead if the Killer gets a free aura read on me. The game really doesn't need MORE AURA reads. Like legit, do you want looping to be the only method?
-
I'm fine with buffing it with missed skill checks and maybe a shorter cool down. (maybe no cooldown)
It shouldn't be within the Terror Radius though. Survivors trying to actually stealth in a chase would get hurt by that more than loopers.
-
Cause the Killer mains that frequent the boards greatly exaggerate. Nurse and Billy are a bit OP. Well, Nurse really could just start with losing her additional blink add ons and see where she falls to with that. Certain other Killers have OP add ons like Prayer Beads or just too annoying ones like OHKO hatchets.
Solo Survivor is rough right now. Lots of Survivors nerfs and Killer buffs have created mass death in in the purple ranks even. And you can't even rely on a hatch escape if something snowballs. And it only takes one snowball to really halt Survivor progress. Though I'm not advocating for mass changes, just maybe a kick to some of the obviously a bit strong Killers/add ons and some slight buffs to the weaker ones.
Still waiting for Small Game to have a totem counter as well. It'd be solo helpful!

The only time I rub in a dc is when they dc so hatch opens instantly rather than the survivor having to wait. Since that doesn't qualify as fair gameplay to me.
In many cases I try to end the match quickly to move on I thanked the users that just let me kill them to move on for ending it swiftly rather than dicking both our times around.
I am also playing plain vanilla huntress for most of these games.
Also to the comment that I try to get them to dc is untrue. In many cases if someone disconnects or kills themselves on hook it prevents you from getting emblems anyway.
I was judging this partially on the pitiful low points some of the Survivors had indicating they were likely camped/tunneled early on and didn't really get or do anything in the match except hang on the hook.
-
All three of those ladies are already powerful though.
-
I'm excited for Ghostface, but I'll probably stay out of testing. I enjoy the playing with your prey feeling Myers, Hag, Wraith, and Pig can give. So he may fit in well for me.

@vexthehex seriously where the ######### are these 4 man sweaty SWF. I play killer and I have seen maybe 1 or 2. The most of these have 1 or 2 new players who suck and shouldn't be at the rank they are at, 1 dude my rank and some rank 2 who wants to flex; this is no issue. Kill the boosted easy, eat the pallets of the average dude till he dies and leave the guy that wants to be chased to follow you with his pee pee in his hands thinking he is good.
I am starting to believe the toxic SWF is a myth or a great white whale.
I've played for years and their existence is there. It's greatly bloated by the Killer mains that frequent all of the forums and usually attempt to bully anyone not agreeing with their agenda. Does it suck to go against them when you do encounter them? Yes, especially if you're playing a weaker Killer. Is it possible to beat them? Yes, though they might get really salty.
But in most games, either it's a uncoordinated SWF playing for fun with different skill levels or a bunch of solos that are Skittles with all different types of players. And as someone who mained STUN HAG and played lots of old Wraith... things have gotten a lot better for Killers. And for some Killers... too good. (or some perks)
But it's a struggle to point out something unfun for Survivors or something OP for Killers cause the Killer mains on here bully those ideas out and live in the past. Meanwhile I struggle to play Killer much now with the long Q times and the matches being way one sided as I reclimb the ranks.

Currently, there are also cases where exit gates spawn with such a big distance to each other that the killer has no chance patroling.
We need a min/max distance for exit gates, so that both killer and survivor have a fair chance.
Not sure that would help or be possible. If the Killer has the power to reach both gates in the time it takes to open one (to give the Killer a chance)... they already won it. All they have to do is catch the Survivor at either gate once to either down them or chase them long enough the Entity does the job for them.

DCing has always been something of an issue but it became much worse after people stopped losing pips for DCing. as of right now, if you actually care about your rank (which many seem to) and you feel the game isn't going well you can just DC and retain your rank. i have no idea whether or not this was an intentional change (perhaps to discourage deranking, which it hasn't, since people just suicide on hook now), but it needs to be reverted as soon as possible. ever since this change was implemented i have seen far more DCing. i've hit people once at the start of the game as a yellow addon wraith and had them DC
Was this change to prevent Survivor from losing rank when the Killer pulls the plug? Rank really just means how much time you spend on the game more than anything. Silly to think anyone really cares about Ranks.

Mori's are not rare. Nothing "rare" is really rare to be honest... on either side.
I like the idea behind them, but I do agree a Ebony Mori match against a competent in even the slightest way Killer is just too one sided. Keys still require all 5 gens done for a 4E. Mori is skipping a entire hook and is easy to camp/tunnel the first person to quickly snowball the match.
That being said, there's probably other more pressing issues. I don't mind Ebony as much as I do Prayer Beads or OHKO hatchets for example.
-
Reading your post game chat seems like you like to push for D/Cs and rub it in as well. You even got salty when the one guy escaped.
Survivors disconnecting right and left is obnoxious. But Killers need to realize maybe there is a element of enjoyment or actual fun missing for Survivors that is also causing this. Though what is to be expected from a community that thrives on "watch me be a sweaty/toxic Survivor/Killer" videos. :/
-
Clarity needed. Are you saying constant 4 escapes? Or are you upset you aren't getting constant 4Ks? Or something in the middle?
Some on here consider anything that isn't a 4K as a loss. And by that view point, you should be losing as the game isn't meant to be constant 4Ks.

is this a joke? survivor the weaker side? hahaha! its the power role. killer is the glorified circus clown. go play enough killer experience it. then come back it will change your point of view and open your eyes. honestly. lol. ruin other players experience? your playing against a ######### KILLER. this isnt a fairy tale. maybe play something else for goodness sake. ive been tunneled too death too. annoys me but its part of the game. but i play both sides. and i know 100% survivor is the power and easy role. killer is an actual challenge .... honestly. this whole post is stupid.
If Killers are still being the "glorified circus clown" of the match, it's quite likely they are just a weak player or against the most sweaty 4 man SWF. Survivors have ate many nerfs over the years and Killers got fed plenty of buffs. We aren't in the old ages anymore and even back then, plenty of Killer mains could score 2-4 kills.
And yes OP, for awhile Killer mains complained Survivors need to be really weak in chases and rely on stealth. Now we have nerfed Survivors in chases as well as their stealth with all the anti-stealth perks and powers. The game is much more balanced than what it use to be, but the solo Survivor experience is getting rougher and rougher. Oddly enough that's how most Killer mains want Survivors to play the game, but they care nothing about butchering it cause of the rare sweaty 4 man SWF.

If someone told you the house you were building was being done incorrectly because they had built a house with leggos before would that make them qualified? That's basically this scenario. Playing at low ranks is a totally different game.
"But you're not ignoring the balance of the game play on those levels... but my input is void cause I'm not as high as you."
This is because you don't balance a game around low ranks.
"Anyway, even if I showcased 40 4K's at Rank 1 as new Legion with no add ons or whatnot... I know you'd still throw excuses out like "they must of been potatoes.""
I wouldn't need to because you wouldn't have the opinions that you do.
Keep hiding behind the "my rank is higher than you" argument. The game can't be purely balanced around the highest of the high Rank 1's. All the other ranks will go to hell with that. Being in the <10 ranks is not the same as Rank 20 or 15. Most of these people know the general game and are trying (not all), and if the game is severely favoring either side... there is balance concerns. There's not massive ones, but there are still concerns and tweaks needed.

You have mains on both sides ignoring the other side's blights and declaring this and that with very little factual input. I try and have tried playing the medium for so long but just end up clashing with thick skulled people who think one side is blatantly OP and the other side needs massive buffs while the other side is nerfed to hell and back.

"I've seen your postings and see you're very Killer sided in everything."
Playing survivor at rank 1 regularly since the games release makes me killer sided..OKAY.
"The truth is... you want the game easier for you to 4K in. You can't take challenge."
The truth is you're a low rank that has no idea what actually goes on in the game.
"You really don't got much room to ridicule me about balance when practically all change for years now have been for the Killer side"
Because the game has been survivor sided for years. That makes the changes quite obvious and logical.
"And it was needed, but we've hit the point it's starting to go too far."
You just came back and haven't reached red ranks on both sides. This is like saying killer is easy because you're 4King low rank idiots. That's not how this works.
"And again, you want to ignore anything that isn't 4 Man SWF groups in red ranks"
I havn't ignored anything.
"Solo players like me would get screwed."
I play solo 99% of the time. It is quite easy.
"Casuals would give up before us."
I think people actually like a challenge.
"Killer Q's are already long. (it's slowing me down :/) Think there may be a reason? ;P"
They are long because the game is still unbalanced in favor of survivors and the killers get tired of it.
Oh the contradictions. Oh my. Basically my points are invalid cause they are Purple/Green and those people's opinion's don't matter. But you're not ignoring the balance of the game play on those levels... but my input is void cause I'm not as high as you.
Killer times are long... cause there isn't enough Killer playing. Oh my. That's not how it works. If I Q as Killer and it takes forever... it means there is a shortage of Survivors. If I Q as Survivor and it takes forever... it means there is a shortage of Killers. Currently, Survivor Q is fast and Killer Q is long.
I'd love to rank back to Red (where I was every month in the past) on Killer but those long Q's are boring and eating my limited time. Anyway, even if I showcased 40 4K's at Rank 1 as new Legion with no add ons or whatnot... I know you'd still throw excuses out like "they must of been potatoes." (to clarify, Legion is in a horrible place and I know I wouldn't 4K with him at Rank 1. Plus he isn't even fun to play anymore to do so)
-
I'm tempted to get it for the Trapper mask. Not sure it really looks that interesting though, does at least look like more fluid for the "victim" side to be a bit more engaging. It's community (if it gains one) will be as toxic as this one though. :/
