  • He's why I crutch on Sprint Burst now. People claim "don't get caught out" but there's some really out in the open dead zone generators and reworked maps have gotten deader. If you go down, you risk being his campfire as he sits at you. If anyone tries to save, the game is over. Any losing Bubba typically resorts back to the caveman tactic of chainsawing at the hook. It gets old fast, and I really think he is a failure of a design. He sits at the top of the "Can I just quit now?" list for me alongside Spirit and Freddy. (also Doc and Plague, though at least they are rarer)

I found a majority of the killers at night are campers. It’s a bummer to wait 10+ minutes at night then get stuck with a camper that thinks he’s going to advance just standing and waiting after a hook. Best chances are to play during the day.

Or they give you Rank 17 allies for a Rank 7 Killer. Just had one of those matches. Was hoping the killer would throw a bone to me since they were literally new players dying in seconds. But nope, got smacked on the hook as I got 1 hook'd at the end.

Quote: "I cannot even fathom the mind set of people who main strong killers and still lose."

I'm not trying to sound rude here but if you faced decent survivors you would understand why some killers are acting like the game was heavily survivor sided.

Even 1 million hour streamers like Umbra get destroyed every now and then using strong killers like Bubba or Hillbilly.

Last time I watched her she literally got a 0k as Bubba on Shelter Woods (even though that map is still a one huge deadzone for the most part), then a 1k as Hillbilly one match afterwards.

    http://www.twitch.tv/umbra/v/860647600?sr=a&t=17271s

Those are strong killers and Umbra is an elite level killer main. Also Hillbilly is her second main just behind Huntress and she's played a TON of Bubba since and before his rework so lack of experience isn't a factor here.

If survivors play well you WILL lose even when playing strong killers. Also if you check the lobby she had to wait for a while for 1 or 2 survivors to join so it wasn't even a 4man-SWF team or something. These were just good survivors.

They should get destroyed here and there. How many matches do they 4K back to back? More so than they lose back to back. All streamers should get stomped on occasion. Wouldn't it be more of a concern if they never loss?

I believe he just needs true invisibility because he can be noticed by his distinct breathing.

    And windstorm basekit

One of the few actual skill based things about him is positioning yourself for the right engage. True invisibility makes him easy and baby mode Spirit. Windstorm maybe.

  • Been playing him at Rank 1 here and there with Overcharge being my only Gen perk. The add on to make the bell not tell direction and distance and Windstorm do feel like musts, but they are also very powerful. I hate the no sound one, that one should be trashed as it removes his signature bell. I won every match. He's simple and effective at what he does.

Not saying he is perfect, but what do you guys want? A machine gun ranged attacked and survivors can't heal when injured by him? If anything, he needs something small. Nothing major.

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I don't understand the hate people have for getting DS in a locker. If your chasing a person and they happen to go into a locker and you grabbed them then you still tunneled that person. Therefore the stun on you was justified. Its no different then vaulting a pallet or window and getting grabbed when you just got off the hook.

They are mad they can't slug the person and wipe their feet off on them till the timer runs out. It's the other counter play to being slugged besides Unbreakable... and well they want that nerfed as well.

  • More people play SWF at night cause they are all off of school or work. It's quite simple. And no, most of them are not swat teams and will die off easily.

And to be fair, as solo survivor or killer at night... I see plenty of low rank survivors thrown into the matches to be stomped. It's not just the low rank Killers that get the high ranks, I've been in plenty of matches as of late where I find out the team was all new players...

  • Delusional posts do not help one get better at the game. Killers have been buffed over the years, survivors have been nerfed. I dropped my old main cause the game was too easy. And I still can 4K regularly with Wraith (Overcharge is his only gen perk) and Twins. (I did pick up Demo again recently and struggle with him tho, but I also don't got perks on him) I cannot even fathom the mind set of people who main strong killers and still lose.

  • I get hit by it here and there unfairly, but the ones who act like it's a every game thing happening to them multiple times are obviously the people that it was made to counter. Anymore I heard the argument the Killer is just THAT GOOD that he or she is redowning the same Survivor after hooking another one, playing a game of monopoly, and checking every gen in the map before DS is off cooldown. Hilarious. If they are that more skilled than the prey, they should have no issue eating the DS or ignoring the survivor for a bit longer.

Only nerf I could see is making it so repairing a gen or doing the gate deactivates it. Not sure on the locker idea people throw around, after all the killers cry about Unbreakable... the locker is the other option to not be slugged for a minute or 2. But on the flip side, make it multiple use to help with the tunneling issue more so.

  • Nancy and Cheryl are horrible. I hate them both with burning passion.

If someone runs up and blows a skill check at the start, it's Nancy. If someone is stealthy healing you and blows the skill check and sprint bursts away to leave you to die... it's Nancy. Is someone unhooking you as soon as the Killer turns around and doesn't even have BT? It's Nancy. Incompetence is her middle name.

Is someone not doing gens and leading the killer to you working on one as soon as she gets found? It's Cheryl. Are you the killer searching for 10 minutes for the last two survivors who are both hiding? It's Cheryls. Is someone body blocking you to self care and lets the killer down you? It's Cheryl. Cheryl is the one making you wish Survivors had Moris to.

  • As Rank 1/2 solo survivor, I been getting a bunch of console rank 12's, 8's, and the like. Meanwhile the Killer is typically at least Rank 5. Been seeing a lot of closet and corner hiding allies as of late.

  • @Snipsnappy said:

    Survivors:

You can't force people to play the game, stop asking for hook "dc" penalty

    Also survivors:

Ugh, Killers can DC just as much as a Survivor can.

  • That doesn't fit the killer main agenda on here. As both Survivor and Killer I have gotten lobbies with low rank Survivors that made the game basically unwinnable for the 1-2 higher rank Survivors thrown into the mix.

  • Bubba is one of their worst abominations created. A skill less OHKO that can deny saves and wipe out multiple players in one use. Whenever I am against one, I have a strong urge to just kill myself on hook cause the match won't be fun 9/10 times. Even if they play nice for a bit, they'll always go back to the hook camping ways in the end. Terrible killer. Not super strong, just yuck.

  • @noctis129 said:

The role of the killer is to entertain the survivors but make it look real.

They got to have a feeling that they pwned the killer and escaped.

As I said before, killers are the victims. It just doesn't seem like it cuz they are "killers".

Nah, some of the killers on here have major victim complexes. That's the only victim aspect that is true.

  • Meh, if you played normal till they got the gens done it would of been a easy out cause you could of opened the gate. If you keep acting like you are trying to stop the gens, they'll do them. I had a GF the other day give up at the start cause it was Rotten Fields. I befriended him for a bit. Then he marked/downed me and used me to team wipe. It's not just one side that can spit in your face.

  • I was getting 3 to 4K at Rank 1 with my Wraith without any slowdown perks today. (I neglected my candle bell boy for a long time) Killers on here always complaining need to just get better and realize you are supposed to lose some. It's typically the killers on here crying for more nerfs, so if any side needs to take a step back and realize the game isn't all about them... it's the killer mains.

  • I love the Twins and have been maining them since release. I also like punting Victor when I get to face them. Most people I face often find enjoyment in the match as well with some salty ones here and there. I understand some people abuse foot trap Victors at hook which causes some frustrations, but overall a Hag or Leatherface can camp 100x harder.

I was however not excited or too interested in Blight. He just seemed like another hyper mobility killer. He's middle of the road for me and was rather boring overall. Maybe if he had more plant themed stuff going on he could be more exciting in the theme part. Instead he just runs into walls super fast.

True abominations are Leatherface, Freddy, and Spirit. I also hate Plague removing healing from the match, but I can appreciate her theme in similar light of finding Doctor obnoxious... but thinking they did solid work on his design and theme.

  • Put the school girl dress on it and they'll start simping for it. The fanart will be everywhere.

  • Nah, you're basically saying a core set of perks is a crutch simply to push a agenda that players will evolve into a better skill level by handicapping themselves for supposed nonbias reasons. Survivors can win without exhaustion perks? Yep. Killers can also win without slowdown perks? Yep. Doesn't mean they don't play a crucial role in combating issues in a match that could be out of the player's control. Whether it's the massive dead zone revamped maps with a gen sitting in the middle of nothing or walking your low mobility booty to patrol gens on one side of the map to find out they are actually working on the other end's gens.

Really want to risk doing one of those middle of the corn or middle of the grass (like on Nurse's map) and have a Leatherface come rushing up ready to face camp you for the rest of the match? No thanks.

I could down people with only Big Sis, but I sure as heck am going to take the easier route and use little bro to.

  • And Killers rely too much on slow down perks to win. They hide behind their gen prevention, slow down, or regression perks to make up for their own bad plays. They could just play better and apply the proper pressure without needing a perk to do it for them.

And Survivors rely too much on healing to win. They should just accept injury and realize they don't need any additional health states than they should have. (3. Healthy, Injured, Then Dead) Healing and getting unhooked is just rewarding their mistakes in the end.

And Killers rely way too much on their powers. If trapless Trapper can down a Survivor, the others can as well. A Nurse relying on her blinks isn't really expanding her horizon of outplaying the survivor with mind games. Victor stays inside, using him is a crutch.

    Yep.

  • Won't lie, as much as I despise Freddy and Spriit taking his throne of the sweat lords... I really don't miss Hillbilly being in every other match. High map mobility and OHKO's together can be very aggravating.

  • i'd love to see more Twins. I need to kick Victor in the face more.

Hmm. I play the ones I like. I'd like to better with Oni at turns. They turn around something and I usually can't get the turn right to smush them.

  • Unbreakable or any of the break out of grip perks would lose use in that case though.

  • Hag was literally kept captive and ate off of for awhile, she got to witness other victim's meet their end while she was helpless and doomed to the same fate. Her backstory is pretty messed up.

But the saddest is most certainly the Twins. Since their birth they were hunted and on the run. They never got a normal life and had to live their life in fear. Then their mother is literally burned alive in front of them as they are forced to watch. Then they get taken by the cult and experimented on. Victor ends up giving his life in the process of their escape and his sister never moves on from him. She lives the rest of her life alone and miserable till malnourishment and the cold slowly kill her. Then when she finally finds some sort of peace, the entity uses Victor to drag her into it's trap where she and Victor are lashing out and killing the people they think are hunting them when it's quite the opposite now.

Twins makes Spirit look like a children's story.

  • I see him here and there and have played him a few times recently. Do greatly prefer to see him over the usuals like Spirit, Bubba, and Freddy. Even if he stomps me... at least it's not them.

  • Freddy- overloaded kit, very popular in red ranks so isn't like you get away from him

Leatherface - badly designed ultimate camper that attracts a lot of nasty players

Spirit - sweaty killer that seems to give sweaty killers someone easier to 4K with than Nurse

Plague - don't appreciate her removing healing from the match, also not really into listening to my character vomit every few seconds

    Doctor - annoying, just... annoying

Hag - 5 traps at hook and other 5 nearby sums up most Hag players

    Pig - almost always tunnel

Huntress - attracts sweaty streamers, wonky hit boxes

Nurse - rare to find the perfect Nurse to actually face. Either they suck and it's too easy or they're good and the match was over faster than the load screen

  • David, shirtless.

The ladies and gays will throw themselves at your hooked feet at a chance to save their King.

Felix is also a solid option, classy and hot.

  • I hate running Kindred and say Felix is already at my hook waiting to save me when the coast is clear. And you know what Nancy and Nea are doing? Sprinting across the map trying to get the unhook instead.

  • Buddy up and heal. Victor can't take down healthy survivors. Other side is David and Steve are repairing a gen injured together. Victor rushes up and pounces Steve. David can put hit foot through Victor's entire being and get Steve up. If the killer sent Victor again, repeat the process. This is time the other 2 can be repairing un hindered.

I know Survivors got into the NO HEAL META, but this killer combats that.

    @Trashmaster said:

Just dont do a damn thing and make the game boring for the killer as well, twins players do not deserve your effort and attention

It's hard to take you serious with a Doctor avatar. I don't know if that killer has even been considered fun to face.

  • Ya, I got fat shamed a couple times recently running from the killer. One spared me cause of it. So it isn't always bad...

  • Oni v Twins just to see Victor get punted by Oni charging around the entire map as the heavy weighted giant he is.

  • Yep. Mained Hag back when she was F tier with stun lock teleports. Then played a lot of Wraith and Trapper after hook feet traps got removed. I moved onto Pig cause I liked crouching with Survivors that I spare. Bonding moments. GF and Oni were two later on ones I mained for awhile, both of them more popular though than the ones above. Now I'm on Twins cause I love velociraptor pouncing people are a tiny gremlin monster or getting punted out of existence by Davids getting their revenge.

  • Some posts in here made me laugh. Imagine a Survivor main coming in here and saying the two perks that should be removed is Undying and Deja Vu. So much bias exists.

I'd probably want to delete more than a couple. But I'll actually just pick Deja Vu and Monstrous Shine. Useless perks. I feel most of the two strong perks could be brought down in power level.

Oh wait... OoO exists. OoO and Stridor to just make the Spirit mains rage.

  • I personally think DH is well made and isn't really cheap.

I don't have the same feelings on Leatherface though. Gross Killer.

  • kil.png

Oni is the best designed killer. That tank of a man can smash me any day and I won't be mad. Though I think only been spared by one when I offered myself to him at the end of the match. I got rejected. Most of the time they smush the entire team without needing a pity or respect offering.

Trapper and Myers having more obvious strengths and weaknesses makes them a bit more enjoyable to face. Clown is interesting to face and has some amusing cosmetics. I feel he is under rated but in need of a rework to have more in his arsenal.

I love kicking Victor, best addition to the game is kicking the gremlin. Pyramid Heads typically aren't the greatest when they tunnel and go for those animation lock hits, but I also have some that draw happy faces and that's wholesome. GF is such a goofball at times and I live for those moments. Nothing like having a David and GF take turns teabagging me before he murders me. Deathslinger's tiny radius is a bit annoying, but I kind of like his sounds and map. I saw one recently break a map. Legion isn't the greatest killer design by any margin. HOWEVER, I have played with many wholesome and awesome Franks (always Franks, Susies are always toxic) that make me love the Killer to some degree. I also like their vault animations and cosmetics.

Wraith is one note. Demos can really make doing gens/rescues obnoxious. Blights is pretty mixed bag and one I don't face often. I still have some spite for Hillbilly when he was the sweaty, but marginally less skilled than a Nurse player's pick before Spirit and Freddy came into the picture. I don't mind base Huntress, but she seems to attract a lot of those obnoxious streamers sweating their butts off for 9 viewers. Baby Nurses are boring, good Nurses end the match quickly. It's rare to find that Nurse where you can have back and forth moments with her. Those ones are fun though.

Pigs typically suck at existing and tunnel the trapped players to death. Doctor is a really solid design wrapped in a bunch of annoying things. Plague removes healing from the game, makes your character have smell fumes coming off of them, and she makes them puke constantly. Gross and obnoxious. I love good Hags that play her aggressive. Too bad 99.99% of them proxy camp with MYC and 5 traps at the hook. Spirits became Queen of the sweat lords with less skill than a Nurse (and Billy) for a long time. I hate her. I hate the people she typically attracts (like Susie) to her player base. I'll also never forgive how busted Prayer Beads were for the longest time. However, when I make one look awful cause she somehow can't hit me... I do feel good momentarily till NOED kicks in.

Leatherface attracts literal trash tier humans. There are some fair ones, but those are rare. But for the most part prepare to be face camped and have anyone who attempts to save you slugged. Also enjoy through pallet stuns OHKO's or how more dead zones in maps is his biggest dream. Or playing Adam for a archive to go against Leatherface wearing Claudette's cosmetic and beating you on the hook. Ugh. Then there is Freddy. Both forms were awful. The new one? It's super over loaded while taking no skill to actually use. Wraith doesn't take a lot of skill, but he also doesn't do literally everything. It's a bit of split for the sweat lords with little skill whether they want to play Freddy or Spirit. But it's impressive that Freddy managed to split some of those players from their Rin waifu cause he's simply that over loaded. Leatherface's movement animation and Freddy's lunge are also deceiving.

  • Nah, I had a couple nasty ones lately. One tunneled like mad and I simply said at post game that's why DS/BT/Unbreakable are meta. And the dummy literally admits he camped and tunneled cause he didn't see the spider legs. On his profile he was complaining about those OP survivor meta perks. A lot of killers are very hypocritical in regards to SWF and the "crutch" Survivor perks cause they just love to play dirty and stomp solos not running the meta.

Then the other one was one of those "I refuse to hook till I have the last 2 both downed." That's a small PP move from killers in most cases. It's fine if you want to spare the David you just downed and want to switch it to Dwight being sacrificed. Cause I've done that. I downed the sweet little Kate and the toxic sandbagger Nea is out there? Nope, I want Nea dead, not Kate. But it's ridiculous to constantly alternate slugs cause your little fragile ego has to have the 4K to the point of dragging the match out for another 10 minutes or longer.

  • Sometimes the killer appears beside you like they got vacuumed over to your side. I vaulted into a few killers simply cause they teleported beside me but then back over as I vault.

  • Sadly I rarely face them, most killer mains rather stick to the easier to use and bigger reward killers like Spirit and Freddy. I haven't been able to kick Victor in awhile.

I main them, so I see them on that side of the coin. Despite the whining in this thread, most people enjoy facing my Twins cause I'm not a sweat lord camping and tunneling. You guys like to hate on them, but they are better than a camping Bubba or 5 traps at a hook Hag. Or you know, those sweaty Spirits, Nurses, etc. that slug at 4-5 gens.

Yes please. Things that apply specifically to him. He doesn’t have much in the way of map pressure but neither do many others. As I’ve said, pre throwing pallets doesn’t work against a guy that can shred right through them and barely miss a beat. He has a massive strength in being able to down people, multiple people even, without add ons. You would think that being balanced would mean also having a massive weakness and he really doesn’t. Not even map pressure is all that important when he is capable of downing half the lobby within seconds. And it doesn’t help that most of the time people spawn together even without burning an offering.

I spawned between two Neas last night. Was a terrifying start.

  • Take that back! :o

At least you get satisfaction out of stomping the little gremlin. And at least they can't 100% deny saves like Bubba.

I don't have to prove anything. I just am better. I don't rely on perks to escape as survivor. Are my chances of escaping higher? Sure, but do I rely on them to get the job done? No.

You better actually play as Jeff to cause you're a literally the best and rely on nothing but raw skill. Play the big and loud boy and don't rely on the silence of Ace or the small bodies of the ladies or the natural stealth of Claudette.

    A true god.

  • Nah, she's too strong for that.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1838166#Comment_1838166

If you rely on a perk, as killer or survivor, you shouldn't have that perk. If you develop a reliance on a perk and can't win without it, it's because you're not good. I rely on nothing. I actually tend to play better with no perks at all (I don't level up all my survivors, because they are all reskins, and often play random ones that have no perks). I'm aware this comes with experience, but the fact that you called MY skill into question when you literally admit to RELYING on Spine Chill. No. Just no.

You lost this debate the second you admitted that. Get better at the video game, then you're qualified to call my skill into question. Period. I win, end of story.

You're still so stuck up on proving how much better you are to actually offer respectable conversation. Too busy trying to push how god like you are to never die to stealth killers and tell me how trash I am. Even when I concede on points you simply latch onto something else to push your superiority complex out.

I admit I rely on it cause of sounds issues.

But only BAD stealth killers get sighted. There is always sight blockers near gens.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1838155#Comment_1838155

Yeah, you've made it more than obvious that you rely on Spine Chill at this point. I see no point in wasting more time trying to tell you why you're wrong - which you are. If you don't want to get better at the video game, that's a personal problem. When it gets nerfed/reworked, and it will, I'll be here to @ you about it.

I do rely on it, never said I didn't. I even said why I rely on it. I literally don't hear the sounds. I don't ignore them. I don't hear them. Whether it's a speaker v headphone issue or just my hearing. I don't hear the sounds of GF or Myers. Well Myers when he is 100% on top of me but it's too late then. You're just so busy trying to prove how your view point is the only right one and everything else is wrong to actually read.

It probably will get nerfed. It is meta for solo survivors and killers mains like to cry as much as survivor mains to get things nerfed. Maybe when Wraith gets his rework it'll happen. And then solos will be even weaker as people get yoinked off gens for instant hooks.

  • @ChiTenshi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1838124#Comment_1838124

It would still have it’s main use of countering Stealth Killers (predominantly stalking Killers), but yes it will be weaker.

That’s the point of the suggestion, to make it weaker than it’s current state. It’s too flexible in use, affects all Killers instead of the ones it’s designed to counter, and is a strong meta pick. Taking it down a notch would spice up the meta, possibly bring underused Perks into play, and provide suitable counter-play.

No. It would lose it's whole purpose. It's not that useful against regular Killers. It's only useful for stealth based killers or killers running Monitor and Abuse on a low terror killer like Deathslinger or Hag.

It's a strong meta perk for solos. We want to nerf solos more even though they already get butchered by somewhat competent killers?

  • @JimbusCrimbus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1838124#Comment_1838124

It would still have vault/action speed.

If you're relying on spine chill to go against stealth killers, it really is a tell of your experience and skill, my dude. No offence of course.

Remove vault speed and actions speed then. It's meant to alert you of a killer approaching. The symbol is literally a cat.

If you can't get stealth grabs or get close enough for a easy M1 with the stealth killers, it tells a lot about your skill level. No offense of course. Guess we can agree you suck at stealth killers and I suck vs stealth killers?

  • @ChiTenshi said:

It needs looking into. A change I recommend is making it not work through walls. It only triggers when the Killer sees a Survivor clearly.

This makes the Perk work against Stealth Killers as intended and not against everyone. It also provides Stealth Killers an opportunity to play it by closing the gap first before stalking/ambushing a Survivor.

Almost every gen is behind a wall or sight blocker. It'd be useless.

so your saying that by me playing the game normaly with out hacking or cheats i deserve death threats and stuff seems legit

I told you to report the death threat. Neither side has the right to say that.

But I'm also saying if you play like a jerk to the other side as many salt mining players like to brag about, maybe you should have thicker skin. The death threat is unwarranted. But there's too many players in this game that seek that attention in the first place and try for that type of reaction.

  • @JimbusCrimbus said:

No, it wouldn't need to be nerfed. At all. Period. Any other answer is wrong.

EVERY stealth killer has sound queues. Directional ones that can be heard on the other side of walls. I'm not saying remove it's detection, I'm saying give it a cooldown. It NEEDS a cooldown. It's completely overtuned. If you rely on it, that's a you problem. I don't remember the last time I died to a stealth killer, and I don't run Spine Chill. I have eyes and ears.

You're too bull headed for a reasonable conversation. Maybe you don't remember dying to a stealth killer cause you're a killer main? I witness team wipes against Clown at Rank 1 all the time. No way someone has never seen Wraith, GF, Myers, Pig, or Spirit (old Prayer Beads was super busted) kill them.

1 … 8 9 10 11 12 … 19
