Kind of? In that case, shouldn't farm games be bannable?

Farming your teammate, without giving them the choice to not participate*

As in, as soon as they get hooked, you unhook them, the killer downs them and rehooks them, until they die. Both instances I mentioned of streamers getting banned because of this was near the start of the game were the teammate had under 3k points.

Selling out your teammates isn't reportable. Jerk move, but not reportable unless it is premeditated.

Selling out your teammates is not reportable, but working with the killer to farm them is.

  • The survivor will receive a ban if you report them after the game. This has happened to 2 of the biggest DBD streamers in the past on separate occasions (I won't mention names). They were working with the killer to farm their teammate by unhooking, downing, and rehooking them until their teammate died. I believe in both instances their account received a 1 week ban.

I'd recommend not disconnecting if you are the person getting farmed in one of these situations, as it could make your report less meaningful if they see that you DC'd.

  • Yes, BHVR's goal is to bring solo queue survivors up to the level of swf with comms. The new Kindred perk is definitely a step in this direction.

  • Making mori's only useable if the survivor is dead on hook would likely solve this issue.

  • There's some instances in end-game where you can't prevent the DS if they are about to crawl out of the door, but in every other situation, you can literally just wait out DS. Assume every survivor runs it. You literally just counter it by not tunneling. It's not hard.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

If he really is an uncounterble mess then the inevitable nerf is coming.

They did a great job with the nerfs from the PTB. They hit all the areas that made him feel uncounterable, I feel. He's still very strong, but much more difficult to use than he was. I'd say he's probably in the top 5 strongest killers, around the same level as Billy

  • The DLC just came out 2 days ago and a lot of people don't want to spend money on the chapter / don't have the shards yet to purchase him. I haven't used him much because I haven't gotten BBQ on him yet. I can get more BPs to level Oni up faster by playing other killers.

  • I was watching Peanits stream yesterday, and I recall him mentioning it. (Don't quote me on that though)

I have all the adepts except Oni and I am a rank 1 player. That doesn't magically make these achievements good, or reasonable.

    nExT.

Edit: AND I have the Oni one, it's still problematic.

I got the adept Oni yesterday as rank 3 killer. Seeing as how we both got it within 2 days of the killer release, with both of us being in red ranks, I don't see how you can make the case that these achievements aren't reasonable.

They feel really good to play as, until you realise that you are just a basic m1 killer after the Frenzy ends...

And I'm not a big fan of the basic attack changes, because Frenzy doesn't have any synergy with perks now. :(

They are certainly an M1 killer than has an extremely easy time putting people in the injured state. That's not amazing, but better than what most killers in the game can do.

None of the perks that previously had synergy with Frenzy were actually beneficial for Legion to run. It was kind of like 'fools gold', where they looked good to run, but actually provided little to no value for Legion.

  • The new changes make them far far far better than before. You can actually consistently hit all 4 survivor's with your power now consistently. And now people don't feel obligated to run Sloppy, STBFL, or Franklins anymore, which were all low tier perks to run on Legion in the first place.

  • No other tricks really other than a bigger mousepad or higher dpi. You can't get a full 180 flick anymore like you could on the PTB. The only time I'm able to get more than a ~130 degree flick is when auto aim kicks which can make it pretty close to a 180

Just because you get one free hit with Legion doesn't mean he's strong. If that was the case Plague would be SS tier. Legion still has too chase a survivor down once they are injured, which can cost you a lot if you get tunnel vision. And without sloppy survivors don't stay in the injured state so you'll spend most of the game injuring everyone, hooking one person, then injuring everyone again because they all healed and already did half a gen.

Sorry, I didn't mean that made him a strong killer. I meant that is his strength, like what he's good at doing. I definitely feel like Legion and Plague are pretty even when it comes to how their games play out. It's usually everybody is injured and you're a 1 hit M1 killer for the rest of the game. Except plague denies their stealth because of how loud vomiting is.

But yeah, if everybody heals then they usually get some of a gen done after you have finished a chase and gotten a hook. Most my games I play as Legion people don't heal and just work on gens while I'm in a chase. But, that's how the game goes for most all of the killers. People work on gens while you are chasing someone.

The speed boost does make it easier, but when survivors simply mend in 12 seconds (8 if mended by someone else.) it doesn't mean anything. And I have played Legion, I've been playing them since the patch and they are so much worse then before.

The fact people never went down too Deep Wounds proves how useless it really was, even when it was made too "delay" the game. I had too run double blade addons before they were nerfed just too make it take longer and actually delay gen speeds.

Sloppy, STBFL, and Franklin's are not Mediocre perks. You could Argue that Franklin's is niche, but it def isn't mediocre. Sloppy + Thana was the core of Legion, and what made him a threat, now you can't even apply Sloppy at any good rate, and you'll never get STBFL stacks because of how his power works.

Legion is honestly worst then Leatherface IMO. His power is neigh useless unless fighting 4 Blendettes, the Deep Wound timer is a completey hinders Legion, the vault speed and movement speed is nice, but they are completely outweigh by the constant nerfs they make too him. He needs a complete rework in order too be something actually good.

The strength of Legion isn't really from the deep wounds. It's from how easy it is to put people in the injured state. That's why it's always been completely pointless to run Sloppy on Legion, in red ranks at least. Survivors don't waste time healing against Legion because it's pointless. Sloppy is just a mediocre perk in general, on any killer.

STBFL has always been pretty mediocre on Legion as well. Sure you gained stacks easily, but you get no use out of the perk at all if everybody is already injured. It's a strong perk on M1 killers that rely on hitting survivors twice with their basic attack, which Legion should almost never be doing. Legion can not utilize STBFL as well as Pig or Demogorgon can. If anything, it's better on Legion now that you don't lose stacks by hitting your Obsession with your ability. Still a bad perk to run on Legion, though.

Franklin's is always mediocre in my opinion. You make someone drop an item and they are just going to go back and pick it up when they aren't in a chase with you. There's sooooo many other perks I would have take that perk slot over Franklins

  • I completely agree with OP who was obviously inspired by the great Karl Marx. Grab your hammer and sickle boys. We're going back to Soviet Russia. "Your" exclusive skins?!? I think you mean OUR exclusive skins.

  • It may have been some things that accidentally slipped into the update they pushed that were meant for a future update, as nothing was mentioned about it in the patch notes

  • @Andreyu44 said:

No,they need changes to their purple addons .

    Thats it

I agree that these should be reworked, and that's it. He feels much better to play now with the speed buffs

  • The speed buffs make it much easier to apply their power to multiple survivors and make the chases to hit people in his power shorter. They are worth talking about. Try playing Legion and you will notice the difference 100%.

Nobody went down to Deep Wounds before. Ever. I think I've seen 1 instance ever where somebody somehow went down to the deep wound timer running out. It's purpose is just delaying survivors for a bit. 12 seconds is a decent amount of time still, when compared to the 80 seconds it takes to repair a generator. Being able to keep survivors injured is Legion's specialty, and it's a massive waste of time to heal against them.

For some reason people commonly thing that Legion's builds involving Sloppy, Franklins, or STBFL are strong builds. Legion's power previously having the m1 effect gave people the excuse to run these mediocre perks on them. The strongest builds for Legion have never used any of those perks.

I think Legion is actually in an ok spot now with the recent changes. They definitely feel more fun to play than previously. Not the strongest killer, but that's ok. I think you are right in saying buffs/reworks involving deep wounds with him could just make him unfun/uncounterable to play against. I'm having more fun playing him now that pre-patch, and honestly think rather than trying to rework Legion's power, the devs should just put that time into the new killers they are working on.

You can shove 'personal value' when I can bust my ass for a week on the thing, meanwhile green rank players have the same achievement for barely scraping a 4k.

Hence the 2nd part of my comment. Derank if it's too hard for you in red ranks and you want it that badly.

The only challenge I had left in the 3rd chapter before the patch yesterday was the save 2 survivors in endgame, and I spent almost 80 hours trying to get it. I got the challenge done in my 2nd game after they nerfed it. Definitely more reasonable of a challenge, but it doesn't feel great knowing that I had to wait until they made it easier to get it, and that the harder version of the challenge doesn't exist anymore to go for and be rewarded for.

For the challenges, you get bloodpoints as a reward, so I understand why people were upset with their difficulty. For achievements, there is no award other than the feeling of personal achievement and being able to show it off. And I don't understand the mentality of "please make my personal achievements less meaningful" or "can you make this really hard thing easier for me so i can feel accomplished"

  • @anarchy753 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/886430#Comment_886430

There's a difference between "not expecting it" and "the emblem system does not function properly for different killer powers, AND stack a bunch of terrible perks on and then just roll the dice until you get a potato squad who decides to not do gens for no reason."

You act like these are DESIGNED to be hard, the original adepts were about unlocking perks on the bloodweb. The 4k adepts were a fun and reasonable challenge. The merciless adepts are terribly designed, because they went for the cop out of changing the trigger to match the changed meaning of "merciless" over trying to change achievement text which is harder, then also changed the meaning of merciless to be harder against already better players.

These achievements are a ######### show because they just keep changing them to make them harder, not with the intent of changing achievements, but because they're arbitrarily tied to rank mechanics that they want to experiment with and can't be bothered fixing the achievements to be separate from that.

Does it matter if they were designed to be hard or not? I do agree that it is unfortunate that the requirement for 'merciless victory' is different depending on your rank as far as the achievement goes. But, that just means the achievement has more personal value if you were able to get it in red ranks.

If they did make a change to make the requirement consistent across ranks, i'd rather it be changed to 'get all 4 iridescent emblems in a game' over anything else.

  • @Hoodied said:

Actually, isn't this considered holding the game hostage?

Cause you are know where they are, but are not hooking them so forcing them to all bleed out

    @FriendlyGuy said:

If you hold a game hostage its reportable.

The only way to hold a game hostage is body blocking a survivor in a corner as killer and not hitting them. The game can only end if the killer does something or the survivor DCs.

  • @Dr_Loomis said:

Agreed. 4K with the 3 set perks should be enough to gain the achievement.

Nice, then everyone has the achievement because of how easy it is to do, especially with Oni. Woohoo! Everybody gets a participation ribbon!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/886365#Comment_886365

Yeah ok, go against red rank survivors where your only power is "run a bit" with 0 useful perks, and expect a literally perfect game by emblems.

Yall are missing the point of difficult achievements lol. You shouldn't expect to have a perfect game by emblems when going against red ranks. It's going to be difficult and you're going to have to play in a way to manipulate the emblems. You're going to have to get lucky and it's going to take a while if you want to go for it.

And again, you get nothing from completing the achievement. It's a personal accomplishment. And it's less impressive of an accomplishment the easier it is to do.

  • @Rinthespooki said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/886109#Comment_886109

Soo why would i want to throw in a m1 if i have the perfect opportunity to use my power to end a chase there and there and not extend it? Sounds ######### ######### in my opinon.

You would only want to throw in an m1 if you are going for the iridescent brutality emblem. There's no other reason why you would, if you're in a situation where could just chainsaw them. That's not punishing Billy, thats making it so you're not punished for playing a killer other than Billy (as far as emblems go). Why would anybody ever play a non-insta-down killer if you could just get iridescent brutality by only chainsawing people lol

  • @Rinthespooki said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/886044#Comment_886044

I don't know where you are getting the punished part because i have not mentioned it anywhere.

Also you love not to look at the current issue that every instadown killer is punished in the emblem departament FOR USING THEIR POWER AS INTENDED.

Go to a match and only use chainsaw as hillbilly, you'll depip if you are in the red ranks, black pip at best if you kill every survivor just by only using hillbilly's chainsaw.

I don't know where you are getting the punished part because i have not mentioned it anywhere.

Killers with instadowns have been constantly punished

the current issue that every instadown killer is punished

    ...?

you'll depip if you are in the red ranks, black pip at best if you kill every survivor just by only using hillbilly's chainsaw.

It's a way to balance the power of their insta-down capability... A chainsaw isn't exactly hard to hit, and it would literally just carry everybody to rank 1 if it counted as 2 hits. The only emblem this even affects is the Brutality category where you get 1 point for each hit on a survivor. No other emblem is effected by using chainsaw only. You will not depip unless you do poorly in the other 3 categories as well... Throw in a few M1s as Billy and you're good to go.

  • Why would they nerf slugging? Unbreakable is a perk thats definitely going to see more use with Oni being out. Also, the killer can't even pip if they just 1 hook everyone. Sure, they can play like an ######### if they want, but they aren't going to rank up.

  • Are you understanding what I'm saying? There is no 'punished' when it comes to achievements. They are literally personal challenges. There is nothing to fix. Sure luck is involved, but there's no benefit you get from completing these achievements. There's so many other games that have achievements that are infinitely harder than any 'adept killer' achievement.

A - You should know how you are doing in the middle of a match. Check out the Dbd wiki for a breakdown of the numbers behind the emblems.

B - If a survivor disconnects after you have hooked them once, you can still get the achievement. In the Devout category, you get 2 points for a sacrifice and 2 points for a disconnect. They are equal. You're only screwed if a survivor DCs before you hook them once.

I have every adept achievement completed other than the ones that came out today. Some of the killer ones took me a longggggg time to get. Why would you want an achievement just given to you? If they nerfed it, it just makes it less impressive to have it.

  • @Rinthespooki said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/885888#Comment_885888

Im complaining that they are refusing to change the stupid adept achievements on killers while survivors have it easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Who cares? It's something to work for. The adept survivor achievements have a different goal and are much easier to get. Why are you comparing the two? They are personal achievements to get in the game, and have nothing to do with game balance whatsoever. Would you be happy if they changed the name of the survivor achievements to something else other than 'adept'..?

If they made it so all you had to do was get a 4k then it wouldn't be challenging at all. I like having something difficult to go for. BHVR has no incentive to change how difficult the adept killer achievements are, because they literally don't affect the game whatsoever.

  • If you haven't tried him out yet, stop complaining.

  • Good thing they just added punishments for DCing. Are you really complaining about not being able to get achievement on the day the killer was released?

My man here gets it, what made legion frustrating to play as was his ridiculously slow vaulting and frenzy speed, old legion mains get what i say, the legion nerf felt awful mainly because of that (and the fact that you couldnt down people with frenzy).

If legion is a bad or good killer is up to you, but in my opinion the new changes made him more satisfying to play as

Absolutely. The amount of people posting how bad he is now is off the charts, and 95% of these people have not even tried playing him yet.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/885764#Comment_885764

Like by a millisecond or two when in frenzy; which is not much at all, vs a HUGE nerf to his builds, to his addons, and to his ability to slow the game down which means in that sense he will be -slower- at doing what he does at a far greater amount than that slight speed will likely help.

The only saving grace might be seeing if we can pull something off with the new perks to keep him at least functional.

Also a milisecond of speed is not as fun as a actually having control over what builds you get to use; it's not a fair trade by any means.

The speed change is huge. The perks that revolved around taking advantage of his ability counting as an m1 hit before were garbage. He's always performed better with different builds.

  • @Oshi said:

I stop playing until Legion buff, now i can rid from this game. Thanks, incompetent devs.

Have you even tried playing him now? He feels so much better to play than before. I think everything they changed on him is essentially a buff lmao. Running Sloppy, Franklins, STBFL, etc. just because they activated during his power was an excuse to run mediocre perks on him in the first place. Franklin's is bad. Decent survivors don't heal against Legion in the first place so why would you ever run Sloppy..? And STBFL is pretty bad on him when you're going to be injuring most people with your ability first, and not your M1. The only time it is ever useful at all on him is if you're not injuring people with your power initially, or if there's other people near the person you just downed. It's probably even better on him now that you don't lose stacks when hitting your obsession in your power, but he still doesn't benefit from the perk like Pig and Demogorgon do.

You can now always catch up to and injure other survivors when using his power. And you apply the add-on effects without having to hit somebody twice with your power, which was just a waste of time. I don't understand how so many people are looking at this rework as a nerf, it's pretty ridiculous lol.

  • There were couple of times he was on the verge of disconnecting.

    How would you know?

Anyways, I sit at rank 1 and 2 survivor, but i'm a trash can. I'm incredibly mediocre at running a killer and i'd say 50% of the time I get downed before I make it to a window or pallet. I don't play stealthy at all, I just know what I should be doing depending on what state the match is in (for the most part).

I know on survivor side, rank pretty much means nothing other than how much you play. Even at rank 1, there is a massive skill gap between good and bad survivors. A ton of people at rank 1 only know how to play stealthy and play like a rank 20 once the killer finds them.

  • I feel like Demogorgon is one of, if not the most, balanced killers in the game currently. Demo is probably the last killer I would want any changes made to.

I'd actually like to see other killers be brought towards Demo's power level, wether through buffs or nerfs.

  • Oni needs multiple things nerfed, but mostly his mobility in his power. The best killers and survivors in the community were pretty unanimous in opinion that there was nothing you could do to avoid going down if you got into a chase with him.

I do recall the devs mentioning tweaking how much power he loses when picking people up, because they did not want to encourage slugging. So that part is known about buffs he will get in his rework.

  • Because then survivor queues would be a bit longer than they currently are

  • There is no expiration date on the tomes or any of the challenges in them. They will always be available. The Rift is the only thing that expires.

  • @InnCognito said:
