They also broke the game with CoH in order to sell Mikaela DLC
-
You'd think if they could put all that effort into making sure the server recognizes the E to outplay, they could do other checks too. Cheating is fun for survivors tho so they dont care
-
I play a lot less than I used to, but I still play for like an hour a day or so. Usually just to do a daily and make a little tome progress. Slowly inching towards P3 L50 all perks on every killer so far. I'm a killer main because I find survivor pretty boring. SWF is too easy and solo queue's main problem is people constantly disconnecting or killing themselves on hook when they get found first. For the killer side, too many strong survivor sided maps coupled with 3 and 4 stacks all piling on second chance perks and a circle of healing. You have to get through way too many health states compared to how long it takes gens to get done

Trapper and his playstyle is pretty much gone. Hit and run used to be a legitimate strategy, and maps weren't this huge when the game first came out. Trapper has to sacrifice early and mid-game for a hopefully good endgame, but that can backfire badly. As a trapper, the only viable strategy nowadays is start playing for a 3-gen right off the start, pushing people off the 3 gens in closest proximity and trapping the surrounding area. End-game perks like NoED, No way out and Bloodwarden are nice, or you can go nuts with an Iron Grasp / Agitation / Mad Grit / Starstruck build and pray you get someone to basement.
His latest buffs were nice, the add-on to start with all your traps is horrible though, because not being able to pick your traps back up is essentially killing your power. At the end of the day, he's a basic M1 killer, and as long as one can play those pretty well, then he's alright, maybe catching someone off guard with the occasional trap.
3 gen strat is not viable these days due to Circle of Healing. That perk makes it impossible to win the war of attrition against 3 or more survivors
-
When I play solo queue, I run totem builds and cleanse all the totems I can just to stop my teammates from using Circle of Healing because the perk is complete bullshit and ruins the game
-
I wouldn't mind being able to trade in killers that i bought like Legion, Ghostface, etc for bloodpoints. They're useless now that CoH is a thing

A killer not playing because of CoH when they get new perks constantly to slow down and oppress the game is a bad excuse. Survivors need more good perks which they never get btw. CoH is good for the game because it gives survivors a secondary objective (killer buff) for a slightly better self-care in a small area of the map.
What is bad is that it has already been nerfed so much it is hardly seen. I see it maybe one 1 of 10 matches now as survivor.
If killers have massive slowdown perks that are used every game, some using Sloppy Butcher, then it is only fair for survivors have a way to counter the slowdowns. CoH needs some buffs, it should be 100% or have a larger area that it covers. Killer hex perks are map wide affecting the entire match, I don't see why CoH needs to be such a small area with only marginally better than self-care.
So tired of this guy trolling the forums and the mods doing nothing about it when devs listen to people like this. Saying you only see CoH 1 out of 10 matches is a straight up lie. It's in every single match.
-
It's cause they're prioritizing queue times over actually putting players at similar hours together because there are so many more survivors than killers. Either they make that team wait 30 minutes for a baby killer or they just match them with any experienced killer to lower the queue times
-
Yup CoH has destroyed this game
-
Wow, how dare killer players get one second chance perk. Only survivors are allowed to have 100,000 second chance perks
-

CoH and DH buff broke killer play.
This is the answer right here. Circle of Healing has straight up destroyed this game.
-
Your game could always crash when that happens. Sometimes my game does that
-
Hey, if you just make your win condition to have a couple chases where it takes forever to down the survivor because of busted structures, safe pallets, and Dead Hard, you get to win every game!

Good survivors don’t need stretch res to loop, I have never seen streamers like ayrun or probzz use stretch res and they can loop for ages.
The only thing that changes is that people can’t accuse the other side of using stretch res anymore though they will probably call them hackers now. It can never be their own fault
Yeah guys, Ayrun deranks to bully baby killers for content but at least he doesn't use stretch rez 🤣🤣🤣
-
Is running a killer for 2 gens on Badham Preschool REALLY skilled? You have to be bad to go down early on Badham with all the busted structures, pallets, and the ol' Dead Hard
Killer is practically guaranteed to lose 2 gens at the first hook in this game

But you see, the 'killer fun' aspect of the game doesn't matter. It only matters if survivors are having fun.
Is a killer power 'unfun' to play against? Better get nerfed! Is a killer perk 'unfun' to have to play around? To the nerf bat! Is a killer addon 'unfun' to experience? This calls for triple-strength nerf-age!
Meanwhile, killers are designed to be unfun to play, with unfun powers that punish the player both for missing AND hitting, and then they get nerfed anyway just because some Influencer managed to marshal their followers. Just get people to parrot "unfun," "no counterplay," or "toxic" about literally any aspect of the game and bing bang boom: the latest boogeyman gets dumpstered.
Except Noed.
And I'm pretty sure the only reason Noed gets a pass is because if it WAS gutted, average kill stats would drop by half for every killer in the game.
Don't forget "boring" and saying stuff like "this nerf would be healthy for the game!"
-
The solo queue is a nightmare thing is blown way out of proportion. It's only terrible if someone kills themselves on first hook or dcs immediately. Otherwise, it's totally fine and not hard to survive if you're good at the game. The game is literally designed so baby survivors can escape at least 50% of the time
-
That Parental Guidance seems like it will be really strong. You basically have to eat pallet stuns a lot against good survivors or they'll get extra loops if you respect it. Easy to lose someone this way breaking a jungle gym pallet for example
-
My money is on a boon vigil to help survivors use Dead Hard more than once in a chase. Imagine how fun that will be for survivors!
-
It only takes half a second to snuff!
-
I'm not excited at all. I'm expecting the new killer to be mediocre from the jump or strong but then nerfed into the ground right after sales taper off, there probably will be a boon vigil where exhaustion recovers at like 5x the speed in the boon radius, and it'll be another chapter without any significant nerfs for CoH, Dead Hard, or Iron Will
-
I think it would be super if all survivors were selfish as hell and just left at endgame instead of trying for futile saves. It would mean that kill rates are more accurately represented in statistics
-
The fix is so easy. If you don't want it to be used for distance, make it so that you can't interact with windows or pallets within 3 seconds after using DH. Problem solved
-
"My survivor queue times are always a minute or less!"
"SWF doesn't give any advantages!"
"Circle of Healing isn't OP, it takes half a second to snuff!"
-
Pyramid Head's anti-loop is not very good at all. It's telegraphed and super easy to dodge. It's also very clunky too use. His real strength is being the Bubba of tunnelling
-
I only ever do this if I really really don't want the 4th survivor to get the hatch no matter what (someone that was sandbagging his teammates, BMing, or just hiding the whole damn game)
-
You guys remember when the devs pushed this system as a benefit for killers saying that they could play Nurse or Nemesis or some other killer they've never played before without having to play against 5k hour survivors? Hahaha
-
Here was a vid of me I posted before. Hex spawns are a joke lol. My whole build was shot 30 seconds into the match

I've notice dit too, and these aren't the "nice" swf's either, these are the ones that stab the random in the back too
There are nice SWFs?
-
Yeah, it's real fun. I played Pig and Ghostface the other night and had 3 games where I got 1 - 2 hooks and 10 - 15k points. That was all the DbD I could stand for the night

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2805594#Comment_2805594Not to tell you how you should spend your money, but maybe wait ‘till tuesday with making that call?
I'm already not buying anything in this game until some combination of CoH, Dead Hard, IW, and MMR are changed to be less BS on the killer mains. I'd quit entirely but I'm close to having all my killers p3 l50 all perks, so I have sunk cost feelings bad
-
Not buying it! This killer is probably going to suck and I'm convinced the survivor perk set is going to include some remove exhaustion boon totem bs
-
I'm sick of survivors going for flashlight saves and sabos when there have been no hooks at 2 or 3 gens done. That's unfair!!!! Get good!!!!
-
It's because killers don't have it bad enough
-
I like using the LoPro, faster charge after stun, and Enduring combo. You can force the pallet drop and stun then charge up fast and bust through the pallet to continue chase to the next tile. Billy sucks though for real, why would you play him when you can just play Bubba, the superior chainsaw master
-
Ghostface and it's not even close in my opinion. He's a slow M1 killer, SWF calls out his positions easily, his reveal mechanism is busted and stretch res users can reveal him behind objects, and he can't do hit and run anymore because of Circle of Healing. At least Trapper can snowball with some well-placed traps, Pig has some slowdown, and Legion has tracking and a traversal power.
-
No, it doesn't prevent you from matching with them
-
When I play solo survivor, I try to bust every totem so that my teammates can't use circle of bullshit. I know that it is a complete nightmare to play against and how unfair it is. Boons and MMR have straight up ruined this game
-
If you aren't happy with the state of the game then express that by not buying any skins or DLC. That's what I've done. I haven't purchased anything since MMR and boons came out, and I'm a guy that bought every single Silent Hill skin
-
My killer queues have been instant for a month and I was getting a hodgepodge of survivor players during peak hours. Now it's peak hours and I'm waiting 3+ minutes for a killer game and I'm getting nothing but major league gaming squads. It's ######### awful. Played Pig for the tome and I got 1 hook and 10k points against a Team Oracle. I'm also noticing that it's taking longer to initiate a chase and chase is dropping earlier. It feels different like something is broken. This update sucked
-
I don't know if they had MMR off or what, but now it's primetime and I'm waiting 3+ minutes for a killer game and getting nothing but full meta Gen rushing squads. This is awful
-
How dare killers have a second chance perk to get a kill after the gens are done. Only survivors are allowed to have 1,000,000 second chances!!
-
Listen man, those survivors had to wait a really long time to SWF stomp your friend. Why don't you have some consideration for them??
-
LOL @ Bubba the Orange Supremacist
-
Just stare at the wall once you realize what they're doing
-
I died laughing at the first sentence. "I haven't been this frustrated in a long time"
-
First!
-
If the match is seriously miserable, don't take the DC penalty, just go AFK in the basement and stare at the ceiling. I do it when it's obvious I have zero chance of winning or it's some annoying ass boil over squad
-
If you're on Steam you can check profiles and see if they're friends and dodge. You can look for clues that it's a SWF. Here's a few:
People with the same cosmetics on or names that are plays on each other like "Jenny's Cat" and another one named "Jenny's Dog" are gonna be SWF. Multiple flashlights is usually SWF. TTVers = the double whammy of sweaty SWF and/or bully squad usually. Multiple pink hair or neon cosmetics = bully SWF etc
-
No and they'll never add this feature because they know SWF queues would be insanely long. Survivor mains will tell you SWF gives no advantages but somehow no one would want to play against them at the same time ::shrugs::
