Where everyone could hit, if you were suposed to get over the floor. I would understand that hole is open for hatchets to pass by, but not that kind of hit since you can't be over there normally
Because usually a survivor would have no reason to go there. I'm pretty certain you could do that with any killer if the survivor was dumb enough to hug the wall for some reason. The deathslinger cannot hit you through walls for example at the shack so this isn't a hitbox issue.

Tbf? The casual streamers that I play against are always kind to me (even though I run Nurse), and I follow them. The high viewcount streamers, on the other hand, usually suicide on hook and sometimes outright diss me (except Yerv, who I play against a lot <3). Either way, I love playing against TTVs because it’s extremely entertaining to find new streamers, as well as watch the game from their perspective.
As an example, yesterday I was being a meme and played Nurse with Fire Up and Shadowborn; I got a 4K versus a streamer (though the solos DC’d), and it was hilarious when they realized I was nothing but a Fire Up gamer. They looked at my profile in steam and noticed I’m in the Official CVS Pharmacy Steam group, so they laughed about that too. It was a great time
Thanks for not being like the other miserable people in here. Usually TTVs who advertise their name in steam are the smaller guys.

Again would like to see you counterplaying someone decent at pyramidhead.
Maybe we can get a 1v1 going like @ScottJund arranged the deathslinger one, and the outcome will be the same.
this is not a 1v1 game, the killer is supposed to beat you in a chase unless you VASTLY outplay them and I'm glad that BHVR is finally going that design route.

That would be a really fun change. I too think that his ranged attack should be used as an actual attack rather than a tool for easy and boring M1 hits.
Therefore I think his ranged attack should:
- have a dramatically reduced cooldown ON SUCCESSFUL HITS (similar to Huntress when she hits you with a hatchet up close)
- apply tormented (unless your state just changed [otherwise people would just camp and shoot everyone that got unhooked to torment them again])
- reduce his cooldown on missed shots (slightly) as he would HAVE to take the shot if canceling it would result in a cooldown animation.
In exchange for buffing his ranged attack canceling the power should result in a cooldown animation for a few seconds so he can't just zone everything (which IS boring on both sides).
Or just buff his ranged attack and leave his zoning alone. He's not S tier in the first place, there's no need for trade-offs.
If we did what you guys are suggesting then people could loop him. All of these suggestion's wouldn't do diddly dick against decent survivors who are able to dodge the highly telegraphed ability in the first place. He would just become better at destroying lower skilled survivors who already get destroyed by basically 115% killers m1'ing them and would get recked by survivors he needs to be good against.

Any kill rate data right now, even purely from red ranks, is invalid due to the terrible emblem system and matchmaking that exists in the current state of the game. The skill range of red rank survivors goes from "extremely good top tier" players to "actually rank 10 boosted" players. It's nearly impossible to derank as survivor right now and many people who do not belong in red ranks are sitting in there. Likewise, while it's harder to rank up as Killer, there are red rank killers who don't necessarily belong there.
I still see people miss skill checks and run away from a killer that's not heading their way at red ranks. I still see survivors waste full minutes of time crouching by a rock while a killer camps a hook at red ranks. I still see survivors that can't run a loop and get caught by a killer within 10 seconds vs a killer that I later on loop for a full minute at red ranks.
These people dilute the pool and heavily skew the statistics. Until they fix the emblem system/matchmaking there will be no good data for solo survivor. SWF data however is easier to get due to the small community of competitive teams. It shows that, at least for good swf teams, the game is heavily in favor of survivor over killer. But this data is likewise not good as it only counts the best of the best survivor teams.
Basically any data right now is worthless and BHVR has to fix their ######### before you can quote data as if it means anything.
Also let's not forget people suiciding, trolling or simply throwing the game by for example doing challenges.

So the killer should've left them and focused on someone else, not every survivor is going to be that optimal in a chase, there's usually always one weak/weaker link. In the rare case they all are that optimal in a chase maybe the killer should've tried to pressure them off said gens, or tried to force them into a 3 gen, which while not impossible to solve would at least extend the game.
Sometimes you go against survivors so optimal when playing killer you just have to take the L. Especially against coordinated SWFs, or even the rare coordinated solos. Like you said though, not every SWF is going to be going full gen jockey.
They DO need to go back to that promise of theirs of buffing up Solo Survivor somehow and imo adding a second or third MANDATORY objective for the survivors to do (totems don't count). I'm hoping they actually do something useful with this start game collapse of theirs.
You don't have to be optimal, you just stop playing like it's some game and take the game seriously. No risky plays, no searching chests, no trying to save somebody from NOED if you can't find it. Is the game fun then? Of course not, but that's not the goal of a balance discussion.

That was how long ago? The game has changed massively since they ran that experiment.
They did it again and concluded nothing would change. It's still fundamentally broken because a single survivor can waste a killer's time for way to long IF survivors are just shitting out gens (Which admittedly most survivors do not do)

This a very tone deaf and ignorant example as to why people who play one side don't understand this game well enough.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/172623/harsh-truths-for-survivors-that-complain
- Yes Objectives are in favor of the survivor; THAT IS A GIVEN and it's not a "Harsh Truth" that's how the game is designed.
- This sounds to me like you're complaining about looping more so than actually providing a decent argument. Learn to moonwalk and mind-game. You have a speed advantage, dumb hitboxes and abilities that allow you to overcome chases if you play well. If you can't hear use stridor. It even counters Iron Will. Use Shadowborn if FOV is that much of a problem for you. There are solutions to these issues you're having.
- Yes that is literally how it is supposed to be. KILLER HAVE ABILITIES THAT ALLOW THEM TO GET THE EDGE ON SURVIVORS. As a result survivors tend to have stronger perks. Sorry survivor perk balance doesn't allow you to just catch us in a snap.
- The Game comes to mind but to be honest I agree that some maps should removed or reworked. I.E. Stranger Things' map and Lery's
- RNG is NOT in our favor. Do you understand the chances for each of these? 4% chance to escape a hook. 1 out of 25 hook attemps will work. 15% to escape a trap. A very low chance is definitely NOT survivor sided. Map offerings aren't RNG? I don't know what you mean. You have them too you're a killer. Hook spawns don't either. They used to but they were streamlined.
- This I agree with. Matchmaking sucks for killers right now.
Marth88 proved that you dont need perks as survivors if you just sit on gens. Sure, you're not actually winning but the killer will get 1k at most.

This game is tremendously survivor sided at high skill levels. The only reason survivors don't win literally every match is because of how ######### the ranking system is so a lot of boosted bad players are in red ranks diluting the pool of players. If those rank 12's weren't in red ranks due to the ######### medal system then Killers have to try as hard as possible just for a 2k.
I wouldn't even say that, I mean how many times do you win against survivors that loop you for quite some time?
Survivors are trying to have fun, holding m1 is not having fun so they're often trying to do other stuff like finding totems, opening boxes, trying to get your attention etc etc.
-
Demo just needs quality of life improvements along with addon tweaks. Placing those portals is a damn hassle.
-
tbh it's still good to kick pallets but I mostly do so after the chase has already been done and I have the time for it. If there's no pallets then there's no outplay potential for the survivor in the first place but yeah, especially as pyramidhead you can either try to get a hit on a vaulting survivor or try to hit them through the loop, many will back off so they don't get hit randomly which is the time that you can use to close in on them by faking another m2 which you won't actually press.
There's some intricacies to playing PH which people don't give credit for. Also you can hit corner-pallets that are undropped with PH because he has a slight flick (around 30 degrees) but im still very unsure on how to actually use it reliably.
-
I won't even argue with you because there's no point, you're either brutally biased or trolling hard, so enjoy writing a wall of text that is ignored by most people in this forum.

His M2 is awful. A perfectly straight line is never useful in a realistic chase scenario. Its still too slow to react to a vault. You have to anticipate it.
are we playing a different game? I brutally suck with every killer that cannot combat vaults up to the point where I need freddy or bamboozle. Yet with PH it's very rare that I get outplayed by a window looper. Just pre-use your M2 when you're right about to see a window or pallet, it slows you down to 110% so just use it similar to a huntress, don't use it when the survivor is already vaulting then it's too late. Only use the ACTUAL punishment when he's actually vaulting. it will always hit if you aim for the window even if you're not straight behind him.
A survivor can run my bubba on shack till the window blocks off, no survivor so far has been able to do that against PH, not even guys with 8000+ hours in this game who manage to 360 the ######### out of me twice in a match to a point where I completely lose them so it's not like those guys were total scrubs, it's just that hitting people at windows with PH is a breeze and if they fake them you just go for the m1 since your recovery time is really low.

If he plants the knife, fake the vault and gain a ton of distance. His range attack only has one thing going for it, a mindgame. Thats it.
except even fast vaults are slow enough that you can just wait out till he vaults, if he doesnt vault its a free m1 unless you get 360d of course. I never use punishment on survivors running towards a window unless they are already vaulting, the only case in which I'll miss is because his m2 is really awkward to use.

Not every killer should have map pressure
Uh what....do you want them to camp survivors to death or count on survivors three-genning themselves or what is the plan then?
-
His ranged attack is basically a free hit at many many windows in this game, pallets need to be dropped pretty early and EVEN THEN unlike freddy you can STILL get a hit off, it's just a matter of who guesses right if PH is baiting or actually going for it.
Sure he lacks map pressure but that problem in itself will be fixed once devs get down to reworking more of the problematic maps to a more managable size.

how is it unlimited when the nerf is literally making it limited? Have you seen the nerfs? He cant patrol as well anyone while using his power and feathering it during a chase is a no go now.
Does he have a restriction on how many times in TOTAL he can use it like Myers who cannot suck a survivor an unlimited amount of times? When was the last times that you even played agains a myers who wasn't meming with scratched mirror lol.
-
If more than 1 guy gets downed then the survivors are playing overly altruistic or the downed guy got downed near a door instead of sacrificing himself for the team/overestimating his ability to run away.
Heck even if you got 3 downs that's still not the amount of second chances survivors have over the course of a match.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
NOED is arguably the most powerful second chance perk in the game. So I hope no one trash talking DS, BT, UB, etc runs NOED ever. That would be hypocritical.
NOED gives you 1 down in endgame unless you're also using remember me, if survivors wanna play altruistic instead of getting the ######### out then that's on them. So many die because they're trying to outplay NOED and again, it's a damn killer perk, it's supposed to be more powerful than the 16 combined 16 perks. Also I was really generous with my "12 extra lives" argument, it's probably more.
Where's my killer perk that will give me tons of chase potential and downs? Oh wait, most of them are just tracking or slowing gens down by a miniscule amount except for the high risk HEXTOTEMS that NOED is one of them that are on MANY maps placed out right next to gens or in the Open *thinking emoji*
-
@EnderloganYT said:
All they should do is add a totem counter to small game or something. NOED itself is fine, the main problem is that often you have no idea if your teammates have done anything regarding the totems.
You have a totem counter, count the dull totems that ur breaking and count the dull totems that have been broken. There you go.

PH was nerfed lol and how the heck would you nerf him even further without making him unplayable, he already has no mappressure. Let me guess, a higher cooldown after faking an M2.
-
Because when stacked they're up to 12 extra lives which is ridiculous in a game where killers are pressed for time.

Thats partially true. Legion, Doc, Freddy were changed because they were very punishing for rank 20 survivors. So they were changed not because they were weak, but they were found annoying to go against.
legion was not changed because of R20 survivors, they would go down even faster against other killers, at least in my eyes it wouldn't make sense.
I consider freddy the most balanced killer, while he is very oppressive you can just run away from him if you don't rely on loops, pallets are still effective against him if safe but even if he commits to force you to use resources he still gets some map pressure off due to teleports. Also faking teleports or teleporting to chase from a different angle is something fun to do.
You cannot run around a structure benny hill style against him but you have to plan out a route or use resources which is how the game was intended by the devs in the first place.

If dodging a hit were easier with dead hard right now then yeah dead Harding for distance should be looked at but when I’m exhausted on the ground it’s really unfair.
Gotta agree on that one tho.
-
@Accullla said:
DH (just like any other exhaust perk) grants a survivor the ability to make it to a safe zone which they couldn't have reached otherwise - it's sort of the equivalent to insta-down killer perks such as haunted ground, noed, rancor, etc etc, which in turn rob the survivor of an opportunity to take a hit and make it to a safe zone.
If exhaust perks that grant survivors the ability to reach safety are too powerful, then their killer counterpart (instadown perks) are also too powerful. Personally I don't see an issue with either.
Man that haunted ground, rancor meta. Killers use those insta-down perks in every game for a reason....oh wait they don't because they're not even as close to reliable as pressing E or Spacebar if 60 seconds haven't passed.
NOED is almost in full control of survivors, if nobody wants to equip small game or take a map with them then that's on them and it's the only perk of the ones that you mentioned that will frequently spiral out of control.
Haunted grounds giving you more than 3 hooks is basically a youtube worthy highlight.
Killers are basically currently playing with what the equivalent of a restricted survivor perkloadout would be where you'd at most get one second chance perk.
Getting Devour Hope off is a damn rarity, MYC is only reliable on some killers who are capable of finding survivors or if you're proxycamping.
Survivor second chance perks are most of the time very reactionary which is why they're used in the first place.

A normal billy game would obviously be billy vs 4 survivors. He was challenged since he was very vocal about everything regarding billy and the rework as to how there is no change at all and everything is still ez pz according to him. He had his chance to back it up and show us, proof all of us wrong. Yet he didn't reply because he knows it is all lies and nothing else. @ClickyClicky is so pathetic you know, like the dude who equips a flashlight and OoO and lasts 20sec in a chase. He made his claims and not me.
@Valor188917 unless you at some point argue the critique about the changes and why people do think it is bad, i have no intention to waste any further time on you.
Already said that hillbilly compared to other killers was always 3 steps ahead unless you take a 4man SWF commandosquad into the equation (which rarly happens EVER), if you don't accept that fine, it's just a fact tho and the devs are acting accordingly. Just because you can't accept facts doesn't mean they're not valid lol.

The Majority of Survivor Perks are not worth running. Killers have abilities they can at least go for Perks they can use with their Killer. e.g. Enduring makes sense on M1-Killers, but not on Spirit. Stridor is a Perk which is not really useful on most Killers, but super-strong on Spirit. Nemesis works on Bubba.
So its usually unlikely that you get to see the same Perks on every Killer.
But for Survivors, they are only Skins and the number of good Perks is really limited. Since the BL-Nerf, the number of actually useful Exhaustion Perks is 2 - Dead Hard and Sprint Burst (I dont count Adrenaline as Exhaustion Perk and Head On is more gimmicky than useful). Nerf Dead Hard and there is only Sprint Burst. Yay, less variety.
The majority of survivorperks are not worth running because nothing is able to remotely beat a perk that basically gives you a hookstate. Very good survivors do not need those ######### tons of second chances and will still ######### on killers. The perks are especially broken when you consider that each survivor has the same amounts of slots as killers therefore their perks SHOULD be weaker individually, yet the only perk that comes close to survivorpower is NOED, Pop, CI and Infectious on some killers, mostly NOED tho.
The perks that strip survivors of healthstates are most of the time VERY situational like haunted grounds or devour hope, pop is not even worth a hookstate compared to survivor progression.
All those "EXTRA LIFE" perks in general need to be VERY situational unless you want to bring up hundreds of perks to their level which ain't gonna happen.

At T2 they're the same m1 killer yes. The key difference though is Micheal is the one in charge of when and how he uses his power. It doesn't matter if it's a bad choice or not; it's his to make.
Having a cooldown takes that choice away and only offers it to you for a limited window before it's not yours again. That's the biggest issue here, they took that away from Nurse and Billy and gave nothing in return. No new ways to use either character; just less ways.
I'll take billy's map mobility on about 80% of the maps over being able to instadown on demand with myers to be honest.
But even tho I'm consistently a r1 killer I'll call myself mediocre at best so it's probably more of a playstyle difference since I usually play killers that can easily deal with loops like freddy, spirit, pyramidhead and legion (due to height)

Myers has versatility. He can be played in a numerous amount of ways. Billy only has a few viable ways, and even less after the rework.
I fail to see how billy's m1 is worse than myers his, am I missing sth? afaik myers m1 is only better in T3, worse in T1 and his vaultspeed increases in T3 but as said I haven't played him for long. He has lots of different playstyles but they are more or less gimmicky.
-
@coppersly said:

Myers is mid tier. With his best addons/perks he might be A, A+.
But if there is a cooldown, by logical extension that means there is times in the match where he cannot do something (chainsaw), so following that he doesn't have unlimited downs because he has a cooldown. You can't have both at the same time man.
Myers literally has to stalk a ######### ton before being able to do what billy does the first second a match starts with the only difference that his instadown is easier to use. If survivors split up (like they should) and sit on gens there's nothing he can do, most of myers potential is with infectious fright snowballing which doesn't work against good teams.
The last time I saw a Myers with tuft of hair was on Lerys and he was a streamer, we COMPLETELY destroyed him, mind you we had 1 rank18 guy who was completely new to the game and could not loop at all and 2 rank10 funplayers with me being the only redrank with a fun loadout not even using exhaustion perks.

"unlimited"
bro the changes are there to literally stop the possibility of him having an unlimited amount of instadowns???
It has a cooldown now, but it's still unlimited. The only way for myers for example to have unlimited instadowns would be red tuft which also makes it way harder to achieve, all the while myers has way less map pressure.
So let me ask again, where the heck would you put myers then.

360s and fastvaults are fine. That's not the issue.
Thing is they're not needed to be in the game, if you're caught then you should take a hit not for some reason accelerate at impossible speeds while running a circle while praying that the killer misses. Removing it would not affect 99% of the playerbase and would make survivors less OP without hurting the actual survivor playerbase that gets recked by any semi competent killer.

But hey! Dont Worry, we all know this forum is a bunch of entitled killer main , so what else can you expect here... That guy @DwightOP needs to seriously take a break and find medical help, that isn't normal.. It's just a ######### game, why does he have to be agressive? Just enjoy the ######### game, dont expect 4k, play the killer you want even if the community think they're F tier.... I play deathslinger and trapper and I enjoy it a lot, people act like if every god damn match they go against a 4 man extremely coordinated nea's with flashlight SWF.... when that's not even 1% of the playerbase.
Exactly, personally I'm totally okay with a 2k, I'll very often give hatch so technically I never 4k and I still manage to stay at rank 1 even tho according to this community it's hard to reach r1 as a killer and survivors go there basically automatically(???) and 4k'ing is required? The only time I'll actually lose is when playing killers that I never play and have nothing on like Bubba, Billy when trying to M2 too much, Nurse and Huntress. Can't remember the last time I lost as freddy.
Measuring by kills is dumb anyways, I usually count my points and if I'm over 20k I'm good with obvious exceptions like plague who's just garbage at making points.

That's not exactly true. You get points for helping teammates and healing them. Fixing all of the gens alone can be done, yet it is going to be difficult if killer kills majority of team. I regularly try to help my team cause I want everyone to have fun and succeed. I've never understood the toxicity of this community that seems to drive off a lot of new players. I remember when I was new and I had people helping me hide and follow them. I now try to pay it forward and do the same for others. I helped my whole team (all 4 of us) and I escape when Spirit made me her obsession and I distracted her the whole match. Some of the players were new and got a lot of BP and were really happy.
Your teammates have a common goal but that's where it stops, If played as intended then the 4k at endgame because survivors are being overly altruistic would never happen.

Ormond needs a rework. It's FULL of jungle-gyms and safepallets all connected to each other along with being huge and scratchmarks and genauras being ridiculously hard to read. Forget that map, there's no unsafe spots for survivors there.

The game is literally balanced around gens being done and 2 people escaping yet people insist that using NOED is for noobs who can't do their objective, you wat mate? This is why the devs don't listen to you guys, you don't have common sense.
