Thank you for the us vs them post.

I play both. This is me literally noting that PC players play way more altruistically than console survivors. Why, no idea, but its dramatic enough to where I'm really glad we can switch off cross play. If it was an us/them thing I'd of just titled the post "why do console players ____"

  • @A_Skinny_Legend said:

The Leon did the right thing, if I were him I would have left too. There is just no way I'm risking it for the sake of 3 intellectuals that somehow managed to get slugged at end game.

We didn't get slugged doing a conga line you dingaling. Our Jake was slugged for nearly an entire bleed out while I ran killer. The Jane got knocked when she crossed paths with me and the killer's chase. Finally I got slugged as I was opening door. The Leon was an absolutely useless survivor who did all of 1 gen and didn't do anything more than th at.

  • @Yamaoka said:

    Low MMR experience be like

You see, I'd think that--except for the fact that IMMEDIATELY after switching back to PC, literally every survivor is healing each other, doing saves, and when it was down to just me and 1 other survivor a Cheryl, I'm hooked on 2nd phase, the other survivor saves me, we still got 2 gens left, she shows me she has a key. Huntress finds us and chases her, and she gets hooked and is on her final hook, dies, and I managed to get her key. Huntress closes hatch, but since I had key, I got out and escaped.

A console player? Deadass woulda just waited for me to die and then ran outta hatch. 100% Wouldn't even think about saving me.

Legion was broken on his (their?) start. Literally damn near killed the game. After a good while of that, BHVR nerfed them into the ground and refuse to give them any of the buffs they kind of need at this point.

thats fair :l oh they were strong for 1 week during their entirety? never let them be good again. ever. make sure they are forever C list.

  • @NomiNomad said:

    Wraith isn't the fastest.

Most of the movement speed based powers are faster. Blight, Billy, Oni. I don't remember what Spirit's base is, but she can go well over 150%.

BHVR are just terrified of giving Legion any meaningful buffs because of his start.

to my knowledge Legion doesn't have anything going for them. i have no clue why i like this killer other than their look and backstory--i kinda wish they would be reworked so they matched their killer trailer more. i really thought theyd have some kinda power that made them look like a survivor. i mean if wraith can cloak to be invisible, but not attack, why cant legion cloak to look like a survivor and not attack or something

  • @Dino7281 said:

Legion can attack, Wraith can't -> he needs to uncloak first, which can be abused a lot with windows and palelts.

I mean, Legion is definetly worse, but Wraith is not OP killer by any means.

nah i never said wraith was OP, but the fact that he is SO goddamn fast while cloaked doesnt make any sense balance wise. like you can litearlly get onto a survviors BUTT like be RIGHT behind them, unclock, and hit. like the fact that you cant attack while cloaked doesnt matter.

and legion cant even down anyone while in their ability. like you get to damage someone--thats it. and if they're already damaged, then your power is usueless at that point.

  • @DbD_Enjoyer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/281621/speed-of-killers

Thats why we have killer tiers...

    Low Tier: Wraith.

    Trash Tier: Legion.

    Its simple as that...

it doesnt make sense why wraith needs to move at mach 10 while cloaked though. like dude youre ALREADY invisible, why do you also need to move faster than anything else in the game? like legion literally only gets 1 thing--run fast. and even THEN he's not the fastest lol. like i dont get why the developers literally make only 3-4 killers viable

  • @Kebek said:

And is should be reworked Underground complex once ST leaves DBD.

It would be a waste of work to just scrap a good functional map and not use it for anything.

thats actually a really great idea! it would be perfect IMO, the rooms could be like dressing rooms or lounges, and the main room where the upside down is can be like back stage and the scaffolding and stuff like---it would be SO easy to just re-skin the map with that! honestly, i didn't even think of that it would work perfectly. maybe if i do a mock up and get that image circulating BHVR will think about it

  • @TragicSolitude said:

If BHVR automatically implemented any type of automatic ban, there'd never be any killer players. People report others for everything, much of which isn't bannable. You'll get four survivors all reporting a killer for tunneling or accusing him of wall-hacks because they don't know what add-ons do.

Any time you report a user, you have to do it in-game and file a support ticket with video evidence (a link to an unlisted YouTube upload).

i get banning can be abused but there isnt a ban for tunneling, its just something some killers to its a game tactic. but game-breaking things like cheats should at least put the player on a hiatus. i get not everyone is familiar with all add ons and perks but litearlly no one would think what this guy was doing was a perk or ad on

  • @Tsulan said:

Upload it as private video on youtube, than file a report with the link on their report page.

thanks, ill do that. i cant believe behavior wont even listen unless theres video. like even if theres like 10 reports within 30 min to a player like nothing happens? i know so many other games taht just getting reported enough times for the same thing within X amount of time results in a temporary ban

  • @Myla said:

Low cheaters since I only seen like 3-5 cheaters out of my 1600+ hours with the game and I'm playing on Asia. One of them I noticed that the speed was increased slightly.

Never seen a killer cheating though.

it was so blatantly obvious which is why i was so shock that he was rank 1 killer. like he was literally blinking all over the map as blight--like he'd literally just BLIP be in a new spot, and I KNOW it wasn't lag or anything. even when he was carrying me we went half way across the map from killer shack to a door where a hook was. and then proceeds to just hit me 10 times within a single second. like i cant even spam my auto attack in Smash Bros that fast

  • @DaWeezerd said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/279450/rank-1-cheating-players

Unfortunately if you don’t have video evidence he won’t get punished, you’ll have to record him doing that to get bhvr to do something

i do have video but they dont exactly let you attach a video at the post-game screen. i got 2 diff games video'd of him cheating

  • Ok so I've had 5 games with pinhead and I'm not seeing the "its easy to dodge his chain" thing. Because Ill legit be behind him and his chain will still hit me... and on top of that theres a puzzle box spawning every 30 seconds so theres literally a constant need to finish the puzzle box, and even if oyu find it he just teleports right to you so whoever DOES do the puzle box is kinda scrwed. IDK. this just seems like 10,000 perks built into 1 killer

  • @EvilJoshy said:

You just need someone to constantly solve the box to remove the chain hunt. Unless he's running an ultra rare add on, you can see it once it's activated. He can't. The chains he shoots himself, unless the portal is right on top of you there are pretty easy to dodge. Changing directions can really mess with pinhead and missing a chain is really punishing.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2483275#Comment_2483275

As for the first 5 secs we all got chained. Did pinhead find the box? I had that happen at the start of a match and it was amazing. Pure luck and won;t happen often

I hope so. Like I dont wanna call him OP I'm sure there's an easy play around but for my first time it was just massively too much to deal with.

  • And when I say we were constantly dealing with chains--I mean within FIVE SECONDS of the match start, ALL of us were getting hooked with chains. Like I didn't even see the killer for the first 2 min of the game, but I was still constantly harassed by his chains. Like is this normal? It seems a little unfair that a killer doesn't even have to see the survivors and they get map-wide harassment instantly at the start of the game on ALL survivors?

I hear you on that and it is a good strategy on his part. Like if you’re on hook you’re on hook and you’re doomed no matter what and honestly IMO bubba is just the updated hillbilly, I will agree that bubba is broken with certain perks of his chain saw, but if you guys are grouped together then yes slugging in a valuable strategy. I had plenty of run ins where survivors would try to body block me from hook and flash light me and my only option was to slug everyone. That’s why wraith is my main. He fast, he go cloaked and surprise attack lunges. You just had a few bad games with a killer that is probably using his/her main to vent their frustration out when they lost too many times in a row with a killer they are trying to learn.

again. he 's hitting us. WHILE. ON. HOOK. just while we're hanging there. HOW is that a stradegy? to just beat us? then go "tee hjee gg i had fun" like out of every bubba game ive ever seen, thats all they do while they're face camping is hit the person unprovoked like literally no one is listening

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2460625#Comment_2460625

People think you mean slug as in, leaving you on the ground. But yes, I hit the survivor on hook if they flashed me.

Ahhh okay, I 'm still learning the new lingo. When I say slug i mean getting hit. Liek you would no rmally use in a non-DBD setting. Like when you slug someone with a punch .

  • @UncleStabby said:

Any Billy who facecamps clearly doesn't know how to utilize him to his full potential. Staying in one place as a character who's power lets him rip across an entire map in seconds is just big dumb dumb energy.

the game rewards it, every bubba i've ever played against does this. Had a Rank 3 Bubba do this tonight. Like if survivors are trying to go for a save--its gg.

  • @FilthyLegionMain said:

If I know gens are gonna fly. I'm clinging to that hook like it's my child.

And the part where they feel the need to repeating beat us while we're on hook?

I 'm sorry but I'm like not clicking in my head where literally NO ONE sees an issue with this? I already said in my first post, I KNOW, just ABANDON the survivor--but again, that's hardly a strategy and its completely unfair for that 1 player knowing there's NOTHIGN that can be done to save them, and the entire time they are on hook a Bubba is just beating them with a hammer or wahcking them with a chainsaw. Its 100% unsportsmanlike and toxic as heck and I dont get how EVERYONE is missing that part of my post

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

You know how it is. You get some toxic survivors, you get some toxic killers. Most survivors know what is up when you are carrying them to the basement, they just DC. This strategy is even better than letting your teammate die.

Again, I totally get that, but out of the 20 games I've had tonight, Bubba has appeared 3 times and 3/3 times they do this EXACT behavior. I legit even checked my footage to make sure it wasn't the same dude. All different players. Just beating hooked survivors.

  • @11d3 said:

Slugging is a good strategy with killers. If he keeps going at I try that way he’ll be green and facing red soon as a green where his tactic won’t be as good, especially if you have iron will, head on, dead hard, and decisive strike. I’m a wraith main and learning executioner, but from what I’ve seen as a killer is that survivors normally do better if they let one friend play chase while the rest of you guys just pump gens out.

Is no one hearing the part where I said they just slugg you repeatedly while you're on hookk? Is this just an OK thing everyone does and doesnt have issue with?

  • @KerJuice said:

Leave that person. If you’re that person, martyr for the greater good. Stop feeding campers. They will stop when our community doesn’t allow them to have more kills. They’ll feel like idiots when the other 3 survivors do gens and escape. They RELY on teammates to be altruistic. Why give them what they want.

3 years I’ve been playing this game and I still LITERALLY laugh out loud when I get hit repeatedly on hook. Idk why, but I find that ######### HILARIOUS. Bonus points for me if I ran you for half of the game. I actually take it as a compliment then.

Yeah we know we have to leave the survivor behind, but like I said it just REALLY sucks for that 1 person who ends up being the first victim. Unfortunately for our friend she had just hit rank 9 and got depipped and she was really bummed :/

  • @11d3 said:

If you’re in a party with your friends and go up against a bubba, it’s probably for the best to pop gens early then cause while he is camping you guys just worry about gens till your friend dies. With the right perks you guys should be able to pop gens out with no problem I feel he is staying only in one place.

My real issue with the guy was he was slugging everyone while they were on hook. It's just really toxic behavior and unsportsmanlike in my opinion. Theres literally 0 reason to do that. Maybe a hit or 2 of the survivior was real ly giving you grief--but even then, just unsportsmanlike. The clip I posted was maybe 20 seconds, but my ENTIRE hook phase he was chainsawing me and hitting me, then the "gg had fun :)" in post game chat....

  • @konchok said:

Bubba is a broken character. Like he's not overly powerful, but he's oppressive when it comes to saves. If the devs were to take my suggestion it would be to have it so his chainsaw does one state of damage. Basically a built in speed limiter. Now, he would need major changes to keep him viable. But that's fine, I want Bubba to be strong, but I want there to be good counterplay even within your ranks to a bubba camping a survivor.

Theres literally NO way to save someone on a hook with a Bubba/Hilly unless you somehow manage to bait a chainsaw out of them, or have like 2-3 other survivors come save. Thats massively unbalanced. I feel like they should make it so he can't do his chainsaw within X meters of a hooked survivor. Because this is WAY too abused right now.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Now let me tell you about our lord and savior, Lightborn. It will protect you from the demons of hell, and ascend you to a divine plane of existence where boosted survivor mains are stripped of every meaningful tool to inflict frustration upon your holy soul.

Those guides were trash. Take Lightborn and you can be born again as a killer main, relentless in their pursuit of the deaths of all survivor mains. You will feel such enlightenment that you may even enjoy face camping the flashlight users who were powerless to begin with. These temptations are natural. But I warn you, there is no coming back from that darkness.

    Lightborn, hail lightborn!

Also I'd re-roll the Kill one survivor by your hand daily. Especially for a high skill killer like Huntress if you don't have a lot of experience with Huntress.

Playing a new killer hurts, you don't get the nuance, you don't have the perks and you don't have a lot of add-ons to carry you. Its a grind to get to a point where you don't suck with them. I'm a red rank, pushing 800 hours and I still can't Huntress.

yeah i deff see huntress palyers in a new light that ax throwing is insanely difficult for me to predict. im used to just yeeting knives with trickster not holding/charging an ax throw. i still hate huntress mains(because theyre hard for me to win against) but i deff respect their ax throwing more

The problem is it is putting survivors against him that are way above his level. This is why we need mmr.

    @Sadsnacks said:

Idk i get a 3-4k for roughly half my matches as killer and 2-4 escape the other half. The game has so many layers of rng you have to take the losses with the grain of salt.

The lobby as far as the skill level of all players involved (killer and survivors) is almost completely random

The perks youll be matched with (with other survivors) and against (against the killer or against the survivors) are random

Your hex spawns will be random

Which map you play is random

The variation of the map tiles is somewhat random

    The hatch is random

The bugs youll encounter are random lol

With all of that theres no way to consistently win especially when you add in the fact that there huge chunks of this game on both killer and survivor sides that are not skill based in any way (camping, tunneling, slugging as killer) (stacking bnp, comms, abusing poorly designed map tiles as survivors).

As both survivor and killer you just need to accept that you wont "win" consistently. Theres not even a clear win or loss condition in the game (screen will never say "you won" or "you lost") which leaves it as the responsibility of the individual players to decide for themselves what constitutes a win or loss.

Trying to get 4ks all the time or escapes all the time is only going to lead you to frustration.

too be honest i REALLY dont care about winning/losing. like half the fun is literally in the chase for me, and getting to have unique interactions every game. like the other commenters said, my big issue is just getting WAY out classed and being punished for it. Like I'm still really new to the game with only 200hrs and I'm put up against high rank survivors almost consistently that it makes it almost impossible for me to get any better because I can't do a single thing against these purple/red rank survivors. i had a game today where i literally didnt even SEE a survivor... ALL GAME. like it was on the yamaoka estate map and i ran that map in CIRCLES and I couldnt. find. a. single. survivor. like i was blown away like why cant MY teammates and me hide that good lol

i deff know its gonna be lots of losses, that im fine with. but when im getting only survivors that are purple or red ranks in my games, it just becomes a beat down every single game. im just gonna switch back to survivor for a few days

  • @Huge_Bush said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2455836#Comment_2455836

Just wait until the SBMMR is implemented. It wasn't perfect, but during their last test, I had many more fair matches with people in similar skill than I do now. And for killers, each killer you play will have a different rating, so if you're new to one, you would be matched with lower skilled survivors.

The other thing is, don't play killer after 7:30PM. That is when all the sweat lord swf bullies are online. You can't avoid them always, but you can minimize your interaction with them, though there isn't much avoiding them on the weekend.

bro i freaking HOPE so, this matchmaking right now is so bad because there sso few killers they literallyt just stick us with ANYONE. like its super common for me to get RED RANK survivors in my killer games, and im still only 16--at best. I just tried huntress, had a daily challenge to kill 1 survivor. and the game is like "oh youre a lvl 1 huntress? here's rank 50 leon, his girlfriend, lvl 50 nea, and a lvl 50 jake. and they're all rank 9. go **** yourself. "

Personally as someone who was initially a survivor main then switched to killer and occasionally plays survivor, 90% of the time I don't get mad at the player of the killer but either the specific killer chosen or more often my teammates.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2455814#Comment_2455814

I actually find survivor (solo queue) to be tremendously more difficult and frustrating. I was initially a survivor main because my then-friends who introduced me to DBD only played survivor. When I stopped playing with them (which was almost all the time) I got frustrated with solo queue as I cannot stand incompetence and you see that all the time in solo queue, so I started playing killer. Killer has its frustrating times and you are on the receiving end of hostility many times but I find nothing more infuriating than solo queue survivor. I could never main survivor again unless I played mostly with a SWF because I like coordination with survivor.

The only few times solo queue survivor was tolerable was when I coincidentally got teammates who were my skill level in pub games and that has happened less than ten times in my <2k hours.

For me survivor is massively easier for several reasons, but the main being I'm usually within the PROPER rank with others, and I don't play solo since a lot of my friends also play. Like when I'm survivor rank 10, my killer is usually 13-9. But every game as killer that I've gotten today I'm a rank 17 killer consistently going up against lvl 9 survivors. My only leveled killer is legion, which is prestiged by mistake and now at lvl 21 i have NO good perks, at least nothing good enough that will help me stand up to 4swf who are all lvl 50 on their chosen characters in ranks below 13.

As a survivor if you're learning a new character or leveling up a new one, its kinda rough playing the game but its not so bad because you usually have 3 others getting your bad. If you wanna learn a new killer the game is an axwound to the face. You get 1 perk, at level 1, no add ons, and the survivors are all likely veteraned.

  • @xenotimebong said:

Sounds like you’re burned out and frustrated and taking a break is probably the smart choice. No shame in taking a break from DBD, it’s a regular occurrence for many of us. :)

man i thought league was bad, dbd is something else.

  • @Bennett_They1Them said:

No sweat. if the game isn't fun, take a break.

if you want to have more fun, I reccomend 3 things.

    1. focus on telling a story, not getting kills.
    2. use unexpected non-meta perks.
    3. get in character. if you get stunned and teabagged, get angry at the character, not the player. try muttering under your breath and cackling.

Roleplaying as the killer is prob some of the best advice I've gotten today, at least for salvaging my sanity from this game. Honestly the only time I have fun is trickster because the dude is just cackling the entire time and I can't take myself seriously. I wish they had made an urban map to go with him. alleyways are scary imo

  • @Huge_Bush said:

I'm a nice survivor. I don't t-bag unless the killer stabbed me multiple times while I was on the hook. I don't do that annoying rapid flashlight click where it's bound to the scroll wheel. I only do one or two clicks to reveal where I am so the killer doesn't tunnel the person I just unhooked and come after me instead. I will let the killer down me if they were struggling and seemed new or just having a bad time. And you know what, there are others like me. Not all survivors are toxic, it's just the toxic ones stand out more and the bad times usually stick to your memory.

I dabble in killer too, but not much since they seem to refuse to buff my Trappi Boi. So I understand your frustrations. You are correct in your final paragraph, the killer role is work. It is bound to be, you're only one person against 4. Throw in communications, it becomes miserable. But you can have fun and winning as killer is much more satisfying than winning as a survivor.

The biggest issue for killers is the coordination of swf and the fact that the devs can't do anything about them without killing the player-base. The best thing you can do for yourself, if you still want to play killer, is to equip your strongest add-ons, bring in a mori and tunnel the weakest link at the start of the match. Against good swf, that is really your only option unless you master Nurse, Spirit (currently bugged so don't try with her) and Blight. Run Lightborn as well. It will save you so much headache from all the blinding and become your favorite new perk.

Find a killer that you genuinely like and just accept that you won't be able to win them all. Don't feel bad if you have to tunnel, slug or camp. Your opponents don't consider your feelings when they undo all of your work when they pallet rescue, blind or sabo a hook. It isn't scummy, that's just a technique babies use to try and guilt trip you into playing nicer and according to their own made up rules.

Finally, it may simply be that the killer role just isn't for you and it would be best to play survivor or move on to another game. You need to have thick skin to play this game, in both roles. I get toxicity from killers and survivors all the time. Heck, I've had teammates cuss me out or try and shame me. For those people, just imagine them as lazy, sad little teenagers who have zero social skills and a terrible up bringing, because that is what they are. Ignore them and move on to the next match, or do like I do and feed off of their hate and aggravate them more (I can be a spiteful little turd sometimes).

I got around 200 hours in this game, and 30 of which is from playing survivor. It took me like.. maybe a DAY or a day and a half to go from Survivor Rank 20 to Rank 10. For 170 hours I've been playing killer, Legion, and i've barely gotten to rank 15. This game is MASSIVELY geared towards survivors. Heaven forbid I wanna even TRY a new killer, like Huntress, because I'll get royally curb stomped into the ground by a 4man who are all carrying flashbangs, blind me while im breaking a pallet, and use that perk that makes a gen blind you when you kick it. Liek I was a Lvl 1 Huntress, with 1 Perk. Like I didn't have a choice in picking better perks, I just wanted to try her out--and instead I just get this grueling task handed to me.

This game is easy on survivor, work on killer imo. I think I just need a break

  • @Shaped said:

Don't worry you are going to hate killers too soon enough.

What you can do (and I always do), is completely ignore the TTV (unless you can catch them in a really bad spot). They are so desperate for attention most of the time, they sometimes will throw the game to get a "show" going for their audience.

I actually meant applying FF to the person who just came off the hook, then chasing the rescuer.

Another neat trick you can usually use is that pallet stuns are shorter than Frenzy's ending stun. So if you can get a Survivor who's already been stabbed to drop a pallet on your head when you're wanting to end Frenzy, they're actually doing you a favor by shortening your stun and eating through their pallet resources faster.

Will FF take affect on someone who has Borrowed Time? I run that perk as survivor 100% of the time so Im always assuming other survivors have it too. and i didn't know that about the pallet stun thing! thats awesome to know xD HIT ME PLEASE!

  • @C3Tooth said:

well im willing to buy killers, because I do like the roll, plus a lot of perks are always available in the Shrine. But as far as who I have

    Killers:

Legion, Trickster, Michael Myers, Demogorgan, Pyramid head

Ever since the last anniversary I got a TON of other perks from other killers like Doctor and stuff

    Alrighty.

For Legion, the most important part of playing them is realizing what you're 2 main weaknesses are and mitigating them through both perks and play style.

Those 2 weaknesses are that Frenzy can't get downs and Survivors who stay injured and spread out largely make Frenzy impossible to get more value out of.

For general play style, I strongly recommend 2 things. First, learn how to mind game and moonwalk. If done right, that can do a ton to mitigate needing to land a normal M1 to down someone. Second, return to the unhook whenever possible. You know there's 2 Survivors there and you can leave the rescuee a Deep Wound to deal with and force more Frenzy value no matter how well the Survivors stay spread out.

As for perks, there's a pretty decent number that can help. I'm just going to list them because going in depth will result in a ridiculously long post. Thanatophobia, Enduring + Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, Coup De Grace, Trail of Torment, Play With Your Food. I've probably missed some, but I think you get the idea.

Yo these are amazing tips thank you! I never thought about returning to hook and applying FF to the savior of the unhook victim. And I'll deff have to try and get more of those perks you mentioned. I dont have a ton of killers leveled up but in custom modes I will have to give those a try so I can narrow down which ones to earn first. Thank you so mcuh!

Yeah... Matchmaking probably should never have put you in that match. Getting Haddonfield and being mid Adept Legion attempt just makes it worse.

If you need some tips and help with perk builds, I can do that.

Yes PLEASE. I prestiged my Legion thinking I'd get a cool bloody skin... I got a KNIFE. T_T So right now my level 21 legion is just getting stomped right now so I thought maybe its a good time to try adept and... boy was I wrong.

It depends how high you're talking in terms of skill, but they're definitely playable at rank 1. I also enjoy playing them so I hope you get some better games and can enjoy it!

    I'm rooting for ya!

I feel like I never see streamers play Legion, and if I ever do see anyone playing Legion its never with Legion perks so its like... mmmmmm. BUT I won't give up hope. I can't explain why I love Legion so much, especially since games where I play Pyramid Head or Trickster are 100x easier for me. I just love Julie, help xD

I've said it before and I'll say it again, they need to get rid of the exit area it would cut out a lot of toxic play as survivors wouldn't be able to stand a safe distance from the killer to grief them

How does one even get to purple or red rank. I'm a pretty consistent player: I do gens, I do rescue, I search chests and cleanse totems etc. But my rank never goes below about 11..

For higher ranks you have to do l ike X amouint of actions per game to consistently rank up. I remember getting from Rank 11 to 10 I had to do like at LEAST 2 gens, perform an unhook, heal twice, do a totem--like EVERY game to at least pip up a little. With SWF its easier because you can call dibs on certain actions you need.

    Swf. And likely children.

Such a shame, this game is so hard to get new players into especially the killer role.

I love you, thankyou for playing killer!

thakn you <3 trying to keep my head up, i wanna be a good Legion you never see Legions in high ranks and I wanna prove they can be viable lol

If I may suggest something, play survivor in the morning and killer in evening. Survivor queues are instant then and killer queues almost instant in evening.

For my sanity, I might have to. Survivor is insanely easier than killer, I went from rank 20 to Rank 10 in like 3 days as survivor. I got 150 hours as killer and I'm still rank 17 on Legion... like... its SO hard, and being made fun of for it just adds salt to the wound. I ESPECIALLY hate any survivor with a "TTV" in their name because I know they're gonna be extra rude

  • @Guest1567432 said:

It's the mentality that the devs put forth. The "Survivors" beat the "Big Bad Killer", so there ya go. The Us Vs. Them is what the devs wanted. Since it is the internet and there are little repercussions for a persons actions people say "######### it I'm gonna torture this poor bastard.". They don't care that there is another person behind the keyboard.

pretty much sums it up :/ the absolute cherry on the irony sunday is survivors complaining about long queue times "uggh why arent there any killers?!?!" then they do this to the killers they do play against. my friend was being a toxic survivor his first few days and i clapped that out of him so quick. he legit was complaining how killers have perks that help them track survivors... like...

if you're going against SWF groups, I recommending scoping them out when chasing, and not overcommit to chases. lots of SWF teams have one member who's considerably stronger as a player, the others are usually weaker as a result of not being pushed proportionally for the rank they'tre at. so... divide and conquer, then take out the weaker players first.

that and if they're being toxic, get in character. don't get angry at the people, get even with their characters.

that, and look at walls while picking up.

    hopefully this helps!

i try not to chase for longer than like 30 seconds. I can usually tell pretty quick if I'll be able to catch them or not. Even with switching between the Claudette--their weakest--Nea, and Kate, they were legit done with generators within 4min. Plus it was that Michael Myers map which I HATE I feel like its such a crappy map for Legion, but I'm also only a rank 17. Like me and my friends NEVER get gens done that fast and we're all Rank 7-10, so this game really just made me wanna shelf Legion for a while.

  • @Shaped said:

Lobbies are usually fast for me as survivor at red ranks at least.

But yeah bm is pathetic. Just immaturity showing don't let it get to you too much. Taking breaks once in a while and playing less stressful games helps a lot.

Thanks, I gotta remember to take a step back every now and then. I tend to play a few hours at a time and I deff should break it up more. Like at first I felt bad because I couldn't give them a longer game, but once they pulled that at the gates I was like oh... well now I'm glad the match only lasted a few min.

  • @SloppyVoldemort said:

Yeah, it sucks as a new killer when going against survivors like that.

Before I took my break of this game, I found that most fair matches happened in the evening for me. In the morning and afternoon I learned that I didn't need to expect anything.

I'll try to remember that. I thought I'd squeeze in some killer games before work since I woke up early today--and now I'm bummed and gotta go to work in a grumpy mood. I'll try to avoid morning games from hereon out. And as much as I love Legion I might have to shelf them for a bit. It's way too much work when I could just play Trickster and down everyone in a few min :/

  • @Zozzy said:

The longer survivors wait the more fair matches are thrown out the window in favour of time.

I just cant imagine, as a survivor, sitting in a 20min queue, having an easy game, and then griefing the killer afterward. Like I'm Rank 10 Survivor and I'm usually only playing with my friends so the only time I really experience other survivors, aside from the odd random, is when I play killer and like... 90% of the time... they're total dicks. Like just leave the game, you won, congrats.

It just is not true, when people DC, I get less for it, even if only 1 person disconnects. Now, you know, the game is probably a free 3k after that happens outside of the 50/50 for hatch, and then the "50/50" at exit gates once they fail the first 50/50. But I wouldn't say I am rewarded with bloodpoints unless that person disconnects after like 2 hooks and they are already downed. It only gives you like 600 if I recall?

I am not sure what rank you are, so maybe it is just stringent the higher you go, but if I run the killer for about a minute, unhook like 2, and do a gen... I rank up. I would have thought it would be the same if you guys were unhooking and healing each other while doing all the gens. But man, if not, yeah, the ranking system is clearly trash. Most people already say that though.

currently i flaot between 10-11 survivor rank right now. i focus on saves and gens mainly since my looping still isnt the best. our last game we had 2 survivrs INSTA DC the second they were downed, like the killer didnt even get a chance to hook them. the map was the silent hill school and me and my friend literally just had to crouch everywhere the entire time. like we didn't get in chases, just hid and did gens. she eventually found us and with huntress on that map i have a really hard time dodging her hachets in a school hallway. 30k blood points feels like a lot of points for only getting 2 survivors, when i have Legion games where I'll get a 3k and still only have like 28k bp from it, with out offerings

I am not trying to be rude. I am just saying that if they let you do all the generators between the two of you, like... They let it happen? They were being a really nice killer. No idea why you are mad at them of all people.

when did i say i was ever mad at them? ive literally been upset with my DCing teammates this entire time, i was just saying that her having 50% of the work to do doesnt really make it fair. our survivor workload was double, her killer workload was halved--and they get rewarded for othjer survivors quitting, meanwhile survivors who stay are punished. i just dont get how that is fair to be a survivor who stayed, played as hard as they could despite 2 DCs, and gets pipped down from it
