    Seems you misunderstood something there..

The trailer was not adapted well from Legion. The lore, ability and characters fit all perfectly together.. except the trailer.

The name Legion comes from the GRP of the 4 friends that always stick together no matter what. They are Teenagers who have a strong desire of freedom and want to do what they want without consequenses. Thats basicly what Legion IS atm and I dont see why a full rework is necessary here.

I love the FF, Legion is arguably pretty fun to play but just weak thats why Legion got buffs not a rework.

you said it yourself, theyre a group of kids that stick together and do what they want--how does that translate too "they run fast". like.. literally dont see how that became their power. the plagues story has to do with sickness and the curse of an infection spreading to EVERYONE. whats her power? infecting EVERYTHING.

I enjoy running at the speed of light and just vaulting palettes it's enjoyable

Like I suck at playing killer but Legions the only one I feel good playing at all. IF YOUR scared to play killer pick them its really fun. Plus the music slaps.

speed of light? Sprint Burst is literally faster lol but, I mean... OK?

I personally like the way Legion plays, though I don't see these changes as a big deal. They are the QoL changes that have been asked about for a while. While that's a good thing, it's simply going to make Legions normal game plan a bit stronger, but doesn't really address Legions plethora of weaknesses.

The insta down doesn't matter that much, and only shortens the time Legion spends focusing the last person they hit with FF. It also, from what I understand, doesn't work when there is less than 4 survivors, so it's another scenario where Legions power only really works at the beginning of the trial. On top of this, it is going to be a set way Legion gets a down, and survivors are going to hate how predictable and inevitable it is.

As silly as it sounds, the best way to avoid the insta down is to run to Legion when they pop FF so you aren't the last person they hit.

The addon reworks are honestly good.

Going back to the actual topic, I don't want a Legion rework. I just want their power to be iterated on the be more interactive and flexible, with some bite. It also needs to be constitution viable throughout the entire trial. The changes don't really address that.

Thats actually an insanely good point, once ONE survivor is dead Legion legit just reverts back to their old selves again :/ damn this buff is even lamer than i thought. killers like Hillbilly get to endlessly sprint across the map for as long as they want, and can get an insta down as many times as they want--then theres Legion lol.

Yeah. Changing them now would ruin my favourite Killer for sure. Instead. You Guys can keep that idea and try using it for a new Killer. So everybody is happy. :3

no? i barely know anyone whos happy with legions original design. it literally makes no sense and they completely underutilized the entire point of a killer being 4 different people. every time i ever see a legion rework/buff discussion it always has their power being completely changed to actually make sense of their story. imagine if The Plague just hit us with a baseball bat instead of vomitting on us

  • @Tostapane said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/317165/legion-doesnt-need-a-buff-they-need-a-whole-rework

if i'm not mistaken you also won't be able to interrupt your feral frenzy once you activate it (so techincally this is a slightly nerf)

I didnt see any notes about feral frenzy now being un-exitable. it was just the speed buff, the 5th hit down that were the key points. if by some fault they did make it so i couldnt manually interrupt it, its pretty easy to force a pallet stun---which would result in a 3s stun, the same duration as me ending my frenzy

  • @Vakka said:

I like the mend mechanic that's pretty vital to Legion's game planning. The problem is, the devs couldn't utilize it well enough to make it worth while.

Mend should have other components to make it more threatening. Right now, it's just Borrowed Time killer's edition.

Mend is probably one of the dumbest mechanics in the game, TO ME. So long as youre running, not even in chase, Mend will remain frozen. So you can literally run across the entire map with no punishment. You can run all game with Deep Wounds on, and nothing will happen so long as you keep sprinting. It doesn't force the survivors to heal like it should. I think deep wounds should start unless youre actively in chase. because honestly running should make a person bleed out even faster, not slower. thats how blood works

  • @Plsfix369 said:

Yeah its still weak but it's better than nothing, would you rather wait 10 more years just to see Legion rework happen, They're running on with BHVR schedule where one task takes years to be done.

I know Legion is never gonna change at this point. if they were ever gonna ACTUALLY rework them, this would have been it. They're doubling down on this "durr go fast" thing they have.

What's wrong with suzie??? Never stop slashing skin is pretty sick too yk

did you.... not read the post?

  • yeah i dont think it holds a candle to all the love and hard work that went into suzie's skins--and Franks is better because its his whole body, so it really sells the skin more. without her mask the skin is just terrible imo. its so plain compared to the other skins the other kids in the group have. i ALMOST bought this skin--but i didnt, mainly because I didnt actually LIKE it, it just was the "Best" skin she had, but looking at it ALL on its own--it sucks imo.

  • Jeff is a sensitive man you hush now.... but honestly any skin at this point. Even if its Julie in Jeff's clothe idgaf like give her ONE cool skin

I recommend headphones if you can swing it. This will help all your games immensely.

If you're worried about aura perks, bring something like Distortion and/or Calm Spirit. Spine Chill to give you a heads up until you feel more confident. And you can also bring the good ole pebble perk to distract her from your location in a pinch.

i have headphones. big massive ones that let me hear every blade of grass move. i dont hear this "lullaby" everyone talks about.

  • @squbax said:

She has a lullaby so you can be alert when shes nearby and not get surprised, as well as she not being invisible so you can see easily were she is coming from.

When she tps there is a global audio and if she tps near you you can tell from where by a directional audio, she has to wait 100 seconds to tp to the same tv again so tp is innofensive if you have headphones.

Now if thats not your style you can take the tape from the tv and prevent her from tping there and since condemed is useless you can just put the tape last second before getting fully condemed.

Finally, concerning chase, shes an m1 killer so you as survivor are the one who dictates the chase, equip deadhard since sadako can't do anything about it.

Hope you can dunk on some sadakos with these tips.

i got my basketball shorts on, ready to dunk! ty :)

  • @Zozzy said:

Do you use headphones or speakers?

She makes very clear sounds and has a lullaby.

i feel like if i do hear her i barely have time to react, like she comes out of the TV and just rockets to me so quickly. as for the lullaby ill have to pay attention more, i nevert really hear anything aside freom the static noise when she comes out of a tv

  • @Heartbound said:

Play against her like you would Wraith. Keep an eye on your character icon and watch for a bar to be added to your portrait. That is the only time the teleport is relevant to you. If you get a bar, she's a single woman in your area.

Just treat her like a 115% speed killer. That's all she is. If you really don't like her teleports you can deliver a tape but I rarely have to deal with filling up my bars unless it's a really long match. Then if you have 3 or 4, just grab a tape and deliver it. No big deal.

...if you're cheeky you can condemn yourself and I promise Sadako will drop everything to go after you. Just deliver the tape before she can get to ya.

im dumb, i never thought to condemn myself! i completely forgot the tapes were even a thing! god i feel so silly now! okay, ill try that strategy isntead. l ike i said i can loop her easily, i actually got her chasing me around a single long for like a full 30 seconds it was like a tom and jerry episode ngl

  • thanks all! i was dying of curiosity lol

im the one looping the killer fool... and not a SINGLE gen pops in those 3 min. so ######### is everyone else doing? not like there's a hook to rescue or a killer to loop--because im doing it--so they BETTER be doing gens.

Well, let's say you main Trapper, Hillbilly, Wraith, Micheal, Freddy, Huntress, Pig, Trickster, Spirit, Pyramid Head, Oni, Bubba, Blight or Legion.

Oh, did you say you wanted a slowdown perk?

    Well that's too damn bad!

and as a legion main, the entire kit is around slowing down the survivors with chases and mends. dont need a slow down perk to keep survivors off gens unless you havent learned to utilize legions abilities to their fullest.

  • @RaSavage42 said:

Yea I'd still play Fang Min... even though Technician is what it is

And go about playing different Killers but Pig would still be my go to... Hangman's Trick needs to be changed back to what it was before (plus the aura reading)

But that lessens the freedom of choice (in a matter of speaking) maybe pick and choose 2 of the character you want to play as then one other teachable and one that's not teachable... it would slow down the "always these 4 perks" type of complaints but still have some choice on what you run

Also why not just give the Survivors passive abilities... just saying

Edit: Also The the good thing about perks being what they are

id actually love if survivors had their own abilities--but i think thats kind of what the perks are/were meant to be. like Jeff breaking hooks(Breakdown) makes sense hes the biggest survivor in game lmao

4 players with 4 different play styles and skills, i thought that was why people played multiplayer games? I also did mention maybe just 1 perk. I pointed out the math in the post. Its pretty obvious

killers already go agaisnt 16 perks and add ons, and plenty do fine and manage 4ks. i think the play style for survivors though has gotten extremely dull because I know exactly what other perks im gonna see in game. honestly the games i find the most fun are the ones with builds i DONT see offten. its really rewarding imo to see someone pop off a deliverance, and manage a last minute hook rescue. or someone who combo'd flip flop and power struggle and BAM got the killer on their own, no need for flashlight save. i dont think eliminating all perks would make the game better. and by doing so there'd be no real play style anymore, because the perks aid in different play styles. you cant exactly be an evader if you arent running Iron will or quick and quiet, something to help you hide imo

  • @[Deleted User] said:

This year i've only played with adept perks & no add ons (on both sides) in rotation & honestly I think I like the different challenge each game brings & playing in different ways.

Kate currently has the worst survival rate for some reason I forget whose highest at present (I have records & video of every single game but I'm not home right now)

On the killer side I do best with Bubba but I'm a reasonable bubba player anyway.

My favorite game is Meg purely because I'm a Meg main though i'll always activate sprint burst at the start of the match because I forget not to run!

im glad you like the challenge! ive recently starting playing only as adept myself and ive found the game a lot more fun because i cant play with my usual style. im so used to sneaky builds but now its pushing me out of my comfort zone and its a lot of fun. i always mess up megs sprint burst lol, but im having a lot of enjoyment with nea's urban evasion it explains why i always lose track of Neas when im killer haha

If I couldn't run my BBQ + Distressing + Beast of Prey + Lightborn build, I would never play killer again. Not even joking.

As a survivor, I would leave any lobby that's not three Bills, because the chance of anyone using their one teachable slot for BT is too small. Three Bills or I dodge.

(Also, I love Appraisal. Chest-looting builds are fun. Limiting perks like this would kill all meme builds.)

i have yet to go a single game without a player running DS, DH, or BT. They are ALWAYS present in game. im sure you'll be fine

  • @Barbarossa2020 said:

I think each character should at least have to run one of the perks they have.

    Would increase variety at least.

yeah, even that i think would add a little more interest. the fact that anyone can have any perk kinda feels too easy, like why bother picking any specific character to begin with. like if I wanted to play bill i HAD to bring one of his perks, i'd be fine with that, same for mikaela or jeff.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2799187#Comment_2799187

Because the mayority is using only thr meta doesn't mean everybody does.

Also this isn't stopping that. People are still going to only run the 1 or 2 best perks. Not to mention how you completely nerf characters into the ground.

How are you going to buff wraith if you force him to use predator, bloodhound and shadowborn so he doesn't fall into obscurity? Same with Twins.

This is just a whole lot of work to make the game worse imo

youre taking this WAYYYY too seriously lol it was just a fun discussion. i see no point in anyone having a "main" survivor if any survivor can have ANY perk, same for having a "main" killer because you can literally have any killer with any perks--all youre really changing is what power you want and at this point thats just a 5th perk imo.

and if your killer is SO TRASH that they're unplayable without perks that arent theirs--then they're just poorly designed. thats like having to buy a new car, then replace every single part on that said car--why not just buy a better car at that point? if wraith is soooo unplayable with his OWN perks--then he needs to be fixed so he can stand on his own. thats the whole point of making a balanced character.

i never said this idea was meant to balance, buff, or nerf anything--just thought it was a fun idea that if there was an adept mode, what kind of play styles would we see more of--more megs? more fengs?. lots of games have specific characters that do specific things, and thats it--DBD is one of the few games i can think of where character selection pretty much means NOTHING because 100% guarantee there are going to be at least THREE DS, two DH, and some BT. Like without FAIL. so pretty much everyone runs the same perks anyway all the time, and thats what feels repetative to me. theres so much opportunity for variety, but you rarely see it.

Out of all these perk combinations, people really only run about 10-15 diff perks. its incredibly dull imo jsut delete all survivors at that point and have blank canvases running around

  • @lonesomekill said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/309536/what-if-characters-only-had-their-own-3-perks-to-use

I reckon ditch all perks and add ons, just player skill. Maybe then there will be balance. At most 1 perk per loadout total. Multiplayer so ive heard is all about skill, but even with skill a killer has not much chance against a maximum of 16 perks and 8 add ons.

eliminating all perks would also eliminate the point of different survivors though--so it might as well be like 4 quadruplets running around lol i mean i see it for a meme occasionally, like a whole team of Bills, but thats few and far between haha

  • @Heartbound said:

David and Laurie by Daylight, and the killer is always Hag.

HAHA xD possibly? I dont actually ever see hags in my game, so I'm not sure but her perks are insanely useful like what killer wants to live without Ruin right now. but i think a lot of people would shy away of david if they knew they HAD to have No Mither on him as well--they'd be a lot less confident with their Dead Hards if they were already injured

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2799169#Comment_2799169

Well, Laurie or David I don't think would be the most seen cause.

    No Mither David.

and people are scared of object of obsession for some reason

i think you would see more Dwights, Megs and Mikelas tho

For sure a lot of Megs and Mikaelas, at least one per team if it was a SWF. Plus the characters "difficulty" tiers would actually make sense. Bill is listed as "HARD", but when he's running DS, Lithe, Iron Will, Boil Over---how is that make him any harder to play? Unles you account for his insanely loud coughing--which is mitigated via Iron Will. Same goes for maybe Jeff, who just happens to be really tall

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

If this happened i'd probably stop playing. I like variety in my builds and what this does is bassically reduce your options. By a lot.

You go from 61,324,560 possible builds on a killer to 87

I dont think you need 60k options because realistically, people are only gonna pick and play the currently most powerful powers. Like out of the hudreds of perks currently available, no one is running Appraisal. Theres so many unused perks in the game already because everyone wants Ruin, or Devour, or NOED

  • @ShinobuSK said:

That would be horrible. Not only you would know everyones perks, but also you would see only 2 or 3 characters all year long.

we already see that now. i dont go a SINGLE game without DS, deadhard, BT--its the same exact thing but people just have different survivors--which are basically just skins at this point--and then those skins have their own skins.

Again I don think this change is even needed, just an idea I was thinking about. Like if you HAD to pick a survivor, with thier perks, who 'd you pick?

  • If this were ever a thing, honestly I'd pick Jeff. I love his Breakdown perk a LOT, as well as his Aftercare to keep an eye on my friends and Distortion to help me hide. BUT--he is loud as heck, so I'd definitely have to keep Jake's Iron Will.

    Lower tier survivor strats?

If you wanna get good at survivor fast, I would say run object of obsession. It used to be alot more busted back in the day but you can still get into chases fairly quickly with it.

Throw yourself at the killer and see how long you last. But try to start it from a good position (i.e. with lots of safety around). Click the flashlight, teabag at the pallets, etc etc to try and get them to chase you.

You wanna be the first one chased so you have the entire map full of pallets to use. Maybe run Windows of Opportunity if you are not familiar with the layouts.

Of course, it's not a good survival strategy. But if you want to get better at looping there's no better way than looping. Hiding won't get you any experience.

windows of opportunity, ill try that :) i do struggle with looping because i never know where to go to have a pallet or window, i think thats a kate perk. and with her boil over being so strong right now i guess its not a bad time to get her lol and i never thought ot be the first to chase, it makes sense though that all pallets will be available to me. nothing stiings quite like thinking you got a pallet around the corner and its not there xD

The grades don't mean anything other than in the month someone has won "x" amount of games.

Every month grades are reset so your games in theory are based upon your mmr, which you don't know, and sometimes it isn't the overriding aspect when your games are selected.

I.E if you've been waiting 5 minutes for a queue whatever person queues as a killer could be your next Killer and he could be Newbie Mc Newbface, Or Tenthousand hourspro.

So the counters for Killers remain the same at whatever level. It will just require you to be better at that counter.

I only ask because the counters for the killer like Spirit is mainly dont do her totems, and dont move when she's phasing? Which seems like really impossible if you wanna win

And they are so salty probably cause killers like me are out there BMing the crap out of them while playing basement bubba and other assorted toxic builds 24/7.

Playing nice with survivors? Lol. Yeah, I did that like 4 years ago. Not worth the effort, never was never will be. I only play nice as killer if I want to get more bloodpoints. Otherwise, killing someone first hook is peak efficiency and I will do it every time I can.

If I was learning killer id probably disable the endgame chat and slap on NOED tbh. You will get 1 gg for every 10-20+ salty survivors. And you will get a person who compliments you for playing well as killer maybe 1 in 300 games. Endgame chat is almost purely negative as the killer, I only leave it on if I wanna hear some crybabies whine about getting camped.

i just have a hard time wrapping my head around it even after the time ive put into the game. i started doing customs for a while because my friends prefer it and i forgot that a lot of the player base is.. just a bunch of salty lips.

you know i play both console and pc right? and me noticing that console players play WAY less altruistic on avg isn't a bias, its me literally noticing playstyles between platforms. and as mentioned, 0/10 id rather play this game with pc players.

This. Your fellow PC players do this to me all the time. Especially the 3 man SWF. Don’t even get me started on the sub par PC players that the MMR throws me in to carry against a decent killer for “balance.” I’m not even trying to be funny. Very serious. Some matches actually have me saying “PC master race my ass,” out loud. And then there is the cheating/hacking problem when you’re in upper mid to low high MMR.

yeah i noticed a lot of weird cheats lately, usually killers just running some sort of movement/attack spam thing. but i really dont think playform makes for a difference in skill. my friends on console and pc are all pretty good, better than me at least. these games today were all solo matches for me and i turned cross play back on, idk why, and just had consistent results of non-altruism plays to the point where it was starting to make me not wanna help my fellow teammates anymore, which isnt how i like to play

  • @Pepsidot said:

You're probably having better teammates when you turn cross-play off because a lot of competitive players queue with cross-play off on PC. When I say "competitive players" I mean players who play in DBD tournaments. So cross-play off is not always used to avoid console players for many players but to simply play with/against other "comp" players. So you probably play against really good killers too.

ohhhhh okay so that at least explains this a little bit. i cant say i care about my rank as a survivor because im pretty dog at chases and stuff but i really just wanna make sure everyone makes it out, thats a W for me--and if its a really easy save its like "why not?" that last game with 3 healthy survivors and NO ONE came to help--like legit made no sense to me.

Why are you being selfish when you turn your console on and play dbd?

Maybe you get possessed by a demon?

I dont. I play the same way I always do--I aim to get my whole team out. If all 4 survivors dont make it out, I feel like its a loss. Thats how I like to play, and I noticed when I'm playing with console vs playing with PC--its "you on your own" in console world, and I don't get why.

    No.

For the sake of everything that is good, consider putting your concerns on SBMM, rather than something so small, like others’ platform.

Ever since the developers implemented SBMM and explained its function, almost everyone has been playing selfishly to get high MMR.

again, still pretty new. idk what SBMM is. and i wasn't sure where else to put this because its a general discussion. there wasnt'e really anything that matched the topic of playstyle based off of gaming platform.

I unhooked them all at least once. When I was being tunneled (Wraith), I managed to slip away, and not a single one of them would heal me. They acted like I didn't exist. It wasn't because a gen was almost done or anything, just flat out ignored. See, they had a key i didn't know about and were planning to leave me behind the whole time. Which they did.

Then they sent me messages telling me "UR BAD LOLZ".

In fact, when I was brand new to DBD I learned to turn off my messages at times because PC players would message me after a match when I was still learning and insult me for "being a console player haarrrr u all suck". And asked why am I such a "poor loser" that I can't get a gaming PC?

Moral of the story is that there are crummy people regardless of what platform they play on. It's not exclusive to any one in particular.

i doint really care about someones skill level, i dont think console/pc makes a difference in how good you play. i just noticed the actual play style tends to be WAY different in terms of teamwork playstyle or solo survivor playstyle.
