I think half the posters here take this stuff too seriously.
I mean wow look at some of the comments, people talking about having...
"the tools to make informed strategic decisions." <- the unkown and the threat is half the fun you aren't a general in a war you are a camp counselor at crystal lake.
"Baseline abilities to counter it camping every game" <- have my cake and eat it too argument, I want to bring my uber looping build and get even unsafe hook saves for free.
"its exploiting major game flaws" <- how so, its possible to save against it unlike true face camping of old where you could body block the save. Its exploiting game design no more than say looping, which exploits smaller hit box for max advantage and unintended but now accepted gameplay. 360's which work only because of screen stutter and lag. locker flashlight tech I got more but I'll stop.
"it guarantees wins" <- only against people who aren't very good at the game, kinda like "gen rushing" guarantees wins against killers who aren't very good at the game. (Actually nothing guarantees wins but its a nice excuse to use rather than looking at your own gameplay).
My favorite is "why not just let me finish my gen" <- man I hate it when my opponent doesn't let me win.
Sheesh, camping works because people like you lot get so triggered by it that you make stupid plays and end up handing the killer kills, that's basically it.
The are games where I'm outclassed by the survivors, so I switch it up to hook defense over chasing and what happens... everyone gets all in my face because they are triggered by it and I end up with 4 downs with no extra gens done.
Its often a better option than chasing in a lot of scenarios, but the game elements that lead to that aren't people's concern they just want to punish camping because hey they don't like it.
Yeah its not much fun to hang on a hook all game, but that's a core game mechanic camping or not. At some point you are going to hang on a hook, that may happen for your whole game.

Best quote here. The only thing that makes a player bad is getting triggered by gameplay and acting like a sore loser as a result, regardless of which side they are playing.
Finishing ONE GENERATOR is not "winning" the game you egg.

A main problem is the fact that your fun is tied to the killer and same goes the other way.
When I play killer, honestly and I'm sorry to say, I don't care if the survivors are having fun because we're not in D&D were I play as the game master, if I need to camp to maximize my odds of not getting slaped and enjoy my game so be it.
I don't meet many survivors who cares about the killer fun, and I don't expect them to anyway.
At the end of the day even if you camp or not, tunnel or not, you'll still be called a camper or a tunneler.
But don't get me wrong, I won't do any of these just to annoy people, if the process is annoying i'm sorry to hear it but it is what it is.
So, by what you said, you enjoy "playing" the game by standing there and doing nothing, camping? I mean... I guess. Have fun watching paint dry.

I see a fair few, yeah.
I never camp as killer unless it's the EOGC.
The core issue is that, in a SWF you can often do planned exchanges while slamming gens, or just get a 3 out if it's a Bubba/Ghosty/Myers or something you can't really save against. But in a solo queue game, there's always someone that insists on trying a risky unhook - or worse - the person on the hook kills themselves. Which generally means a lost game.
See - there's no real reason to not suicide. You're going to be sitting there for the entire game getting hit on hook, twiddling your thumbs. You get no extra BP or grade points for sticking it out.
dont you get extra BP for struggling during second phase?

Camping is boring and terrible but has some underlying problems where a simple idea would probably result in killer players leaving in droves and BHVR reverting it pretty quickly. However the first gen and perhaps more could easily be done before Claud had died unless she killed herself on hook/it took you guys awhile to find a gen. If Claud had stayed on the hook until she died she would be there for 120 seconds. If you and Tapp are on a gen you should knock it out in ~45 seconds, some quick math
(1.0) * -(.06) = -.06 = the Thanatophobia penalty that should be applied from 1 survivor on hook and 3 healthy
(1.0) * -(.15) = -.15 the co-op gen efficiency penalty
1.00 + (-.06) + (-.15) = .79 C/S for both you and Tapp
(.79 * 2) = 1.58 C/S done by both of you
80 / 1.58 = ~50.6 seconds.
The two of you should have finished the first gen before Claud hit stage 2 of her hook
I spawned right next to my gen, so theres 0 seconds for me to find it. Tapp showed up maybe 5 seconds later? So about the moment we both start working on it, we see Claudette get hit and downed within the first 6 seconds of us doing our gen together, and she gets hooked. I see Thano in the corner so we're woring on teh gen. Im taking a guess that Cheryl went to save Claudette because thano was still active once claudette was hooked because to my knowledge thano only goes off injured, not currently hooked. claudette did get off for about 5 seconds, then immediately downed again, and re-hooked. i didn't leave my gen that entire time, tapp stepped away for a minute, but by the time we were finishing up claudette was dying. i have it all on recording, so i can rewatch to see exactly what happened, but my original post is a condesed version of what happened because otherwise it would of been 9 paragraphs long.

Doesn't matter. Until the game is balanced otherwise, 1st hook camp is still effective, the faster you can turn the game into a 3v1 instead of a 4v1 or in the case of nemesis an 12v1, the faster you shift those odds the less pressure you have to be under. Meaning you can give the last 3 a chance. Until they make up for the survivor power creep or relieve the pressure of the role its probably not gonna change. Game hasn't been enjoyable for most killers for a while now so I can't even get mad at it. Not to say that survivors haven't been enjoying themselves either, but, without a killer there is no game. The obvious solution they've come up with is to just put up bots in place. Probably might be this games fate indefinitely unless they can figure something out. I won't tell you to uninstall but I will say... "Why care?". Its been in the same state for over a year so why care?
"Hey why do you care about this thing you love slowly dying and becoming terrible?" Wow, what a question. Gee, I dunno. Why WOULD someone care about something they like slowly dying? Sheesh I just can't fathom it.

It's a game design flaw. When map design is unfair and boring, and dead hard is a thing camping becomes appealing and more viable for some killers.
Survivors shouldn't berate killers for playing like that because that's likely to make killers do it even more. I don't think there are many killer players that start out with an attitude to ruin players experience but when survivors are extremely toxic to killers for just playing the game it makes sense why people would want to start playing basement bubba.
Blame the game, not the player.
You act like I told him to uninstall and never play again lol. I just asked WHY would you play like this. Like why hit me on hook, why not just let me finish my gen--i didn't berate him. I play killer just as much as I do survivor, and this behavior was totally unwarranted. No one did anything to this killer, they spent all game camping and slugging on hook. And "hate the game not the player" is such a bs argument for literally anything. Just because someone CAN do something, doesn't mean they SHOULD. You CAN cut in line, and likely no one will stop you from doing so, but it doesn't mean you should. Theres a lot of things people shouldn't do, but do it anyway, doesnt meant you should "oh hate life, not the ######### that make it worse"

E: seeing as I'm about to head off and this thread will likely be dead (or too long for me to care enough to dive back in) by the time I come back I just want to say that, while I have no problems with people camping on RPD, this particular person that did sounds like they just really enjoy annoying people. and yeah, camping is a good way to do that.
Im not sure to be honest. Personally I don't care if I'm on RPD, it's a huge map, kinda cluttered, but overall it's just a map and I don't dislike it over any other map.

You mean to say you don’t like being blinded by someone you can’t even see on your screen? 🤨
Gotta say, not a fan. But, maybe as a survivor I can finally land a flashlight stun. All I have to do is point the light in the general direction of the killer
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
The best way I can really explain it is like this:
Imagine the FOV of the killer to be a cone in front of them.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6WDDDNQZ59F4/image.png
If a survivor shines a flashlight into this cone, the killer is blinded. But it doesn't have to be exactly head-on, it can be anywhere within the cone, like this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/0ZI1Y2692WDP/image.png
But this can also lead to some very... odd angles. So long as the flashlight goes into the FOV.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/NEIJOCO7N5QZ/image.png
This also explains why sometimes you're blinded while looking at walls.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/GU5IGWBCEDAZ/image.png
If you're very slightly slanted, it's possible to get very very odd angles indeed.
Moreover, I'm almost 99% sure that it calculates the blind angle based off of if the killer is using Shadowborn even if they aren't.
Combine that with survivor-client-sided blinds and they can be very wacky items indeed.
This illustrates it pretty well. Is this new, though? I dont feel like it was this easy before, wheras while carrying a survivor I could easily just look down at the ground if a survivor tried to blind me, and it wouldn't work. Now it seems if they just point the flashlight at my feet I'll go blind

doesn't help that I'm in solo queue and these types encourage swf play
Took me 4 hours to get 2/4. I am so close to Jeff's new pants i can smell them and I am PISSED that I paid money, good money, to unlock stuff in the rift and yet I CANT because this game wants me to play POORLY. to the point that it wants us to force us to lose, to get this challenge. because getting this done in ONE game is literally impossible, so it makes us ruin several games.

Susie gets lots of skins for the same reason Feng does - the weebs are willing to pay for it so BHVR delivers what sells...
I would love some SERIOUS looking male survivor cosmetics but all we ever get are some ridiculous looking Dwight ones. I mean for example like literally ALL Jake chests are bad or boring except for his miner shirt. The prime jacket has to be one of the most ugly things they ever came up with.
Agreed. I'm all for an occasionally silly pajama skin--like odds of being taken by the entity in your sleep would be pretty high humans spend a lot of time sleeping--but it would be cool to have some legit "fighting for their lives" survivor skins where you can see the battle hardened sides of them for being put through the trials
-
@gendoss said:
They make a lot of skins for certain characters because they sell well. It's just business and if Susie's skins are making the most money then they will keep making them.
yknow... if they maybe... just maybe... made some skins for OTHER characters... they'd sell? you can't say "oh well theyre the only ones that sell" when suzie is the ONLY ONE getting skins.... "gee why isnt anyone buying oranges? they all buy apples" "well Mark maybe its because we have no oranges, and we only stock the store with apples..."
-
@blue4zion said:
hahaha well
its likely due to her skins used the most, if it follows normal conventions of "more skins for the more used"
srry you're not a fan, but suzie is the best of the legion.
shes not, though. one of the reasons she's so popular is BECAUSE she is the ONLY ONE GETTING SKINS. if frank or julie got some decent skins, more people would play them. Joey deff needs some attention because I can only think of like two skins for the guy. they want Legion to be a pack of kids but they pretty much ignore the other 3
-
@Elcopollo said:
Given that Susie and Joey are the only members left with zero background info, it's only fitting one of them gets something in the rift, instead of Frank who has a full bio and Julie who has Tome lore. That way, now we know Susie's official surname through a charm - Lavoie. And she is much more popular than chad Joey, so, like, no brainer they picked her for this one. Besides, coolness of Joey's and Julie's skins is strong enough to get them through a whole year, while Frank is a boring dud anyway, so I see no problem with all this.
If you hate her - don't play her. It's not like new body-piece is incredible and you can mix-and-match masks and weapons with any member.
I'm sorry, but WHAT "cool Julie skin" are you talking about ? She has NONE. None. The closest we get to a cool Julie skin is her skull face one and even then its like mid-tier, Frank's is way cooler because his entire body is painted like a skeleton. Julie gets a plain black shirt and some red paints. 99% of her skins are some type of jeans, and a dark colored shirt/jacket. she literally has no variety or fun designs.
meanwhile we get kitty suzie, neon suzie, year of the pig suzie--like all three are gorgeous amazing skins and all different visually.
and you can mix and match all you want only to a certian degreee because the body is the body--i dont wanna be some pidgeon toed shy girl that is Suzie. BHVR can only "root for cute" and its lame af.

Kinda odd though because the lore on Susie (and Joey) is fairly limited. Maybe the art department really likes her but the lore one is only so so. Either that or there is truth in the 'theory' that Susie and Joey are not real and are merely the opposite side of the coin for Frank and Julie. That would make me sad though.
Joey is my favourite. I'm admittedly okay with his small selection. Still different skins for all the jobs he has failed to keep (and why) might be amusing. Or depressing because of truth in television :D.
They pump out the suzie skins because teh art department has a hard on for uwu gamer girls and they are incapable of making a badass female skin that doesn't pander to cuteness or sexiness--in most cases. we occassionally get a dope ass Hag or Huntress skin.
and idk about Joey being another part of frank, isn't he black? if he were an alter/personality of Frank idk if that would change his race

That's yet another example of SWFs being able to play optimally purely because of information they can share that solos can't. A simple fix would be to add a Deliverance icon to the player on hook.
Same applies for other perks like Unbreakable. Maybe a different color of aura of they have some kind of self-save perk equipped. Or if you run within proximity it will show a small buff perk in the corner, like with Prove Thyself or something.

@Valik said:
I think this is the kind of mechanic that is designed with good intention - but is tragically misled because it hurts newer players most, can create narrative confusion, and ultimately encourages players that it was built to discourage.
- New players lack confidence and are the most likely to misjudge a button prompt. Imagine about to get saved, but constantly kicking a buddy off and wondering why. New players may accidentally get themselves killed by not understanding the nature of this mechanic.
- As a survivor, you want off the hook. Your friends will come to save you and will often die trying. Unhooking your friends is good - getting unhooked is good. Generally, all survivor players want to be unhooked - and the more ways to get unhooked, the better! By creating a 'screw off, I'm chilling on hook' button, not only will it encourage more players to put themselves into more hook time - but it also can confuse the meaning of an unhook. Is being on the hook good or bad? If there isn't a good part to being on hook, why would there be an explicit 'I wanna stay on my hook' button? Even if contextual, what is so great about denying yourself even the opportunity to run instead of die on the hook? It can confuse a lot of players, especially newer ones, who may not understand the reasoning behind such a design.
- It is implemented to protect yourself from trolls, but trolls will likely be the only people that use it. Trolls that will wait until they're 99% gone and watch you run in for a hotly contested last-second unhook as a bubba chases them... only for the troll on hook to kick them away. "You let me hang all this time, now die." Trolls may just hang out and vibe with the killer - kicking would-be-saviors away and getting them killed in a blatant display of schadenfreude. While this mechanic may be done with the best of intentions, I do not believe it could possibly be implemented without causing more trouble than it's worth.
Trolls would abuse this feature to grief their team, new players would get confused and may get themselves killed, and there's really no major reason to include it - because aside from the extreme minority of circumstances, survivors ALWAYS want to be unhooked.
People keep bringing up trolls with this mechanic but seem to completely forget to mention that survivors ALREADY troll their teammates by unhook farming in front of killer? We already have trolls in the game purposely unhooking to farm for BP. No BT, and dont even position to take a body hit in the absolute most desperate situation.
Not to mention people already troll on hook by killing themsleves on hook via Kobe attempts, or purposely missing their skill checks, so survivors will have likely crossed a whole map in a futile attempt to save someone who is just planning on quitting anyway.
We already have trolls who will hold a survivor hostage with bodyblock/healing, or troll by tapping the pick-up button but never actually picking up someone
And if yall REALLY cared about trolls then why aren't we worried about the 100x speed flashlight clicks BMers do? Know how easy it would be to fix that? So easy. Is it done? No. Theres literally NO helpful reason to flick a flashlight at light speed because its not gonna stun the killer--its just there to be a nuisance. One-two flicks is fine if you're like "hey over there"--but even then they still will spam the clicks obnoxiously and teh game already has a "point" mechanic--the literal point emote. Same goes for being able to spam-crouch. No one needs to crouch 5 times in one second to evade killer--but nothing is done about that. So I don't think "omg what about trolls" is a viable argument against this, because theres a laundry list of troll-behavior already in game, thats arguably worse and has been in the game for a while.

Now Imagine this this: Feng comes to unhook you, but she has BT. Even tho the killer is right there you both get away safely and she even tanks hits for you.
But, oh, you kicked her. Oh she's injured no-- and downed. And the killer just gained massive momentum.
While yes, you might not get farmed you most likely made the team lose. Doing a 1for1 is sometimes the only option. It's unlucky if the killer doesn't respect BT and even more unlucky if the unhooker doesn't have it.
(also imagine trollers with this)
"oh she's injured now--AND downed" girl HOW ? if the kick doesn't injure her, she only took one hit from killer if she 's stupid enough to unhook right in front of them. how tf did she get downed? and you know how you can prevent from getting injured during an unhook? ya wanna know the secret? dont unhook in front of killer. BOOM mind blown.
and "durr get better at looping" girl how is one supposed to loop when you unhook in front of the killers face. how. what loop. is there a window between the hook, the killer, and me? no. because again, unhooking in front of killers face implies THEY ARE RIGHT THERE. often times M1ing RIGHT as you unhook so who gets hit? The one who was on hook. And is insta-downed before their feet even touched the ground. But if you 're able to loop while ON HOOK please lemme see that footage.
and no, NATURALLY it makes more sense for the killer to hit the person already injured--because thats a DOWN. even if the killer is braindead and didn't pick the easier down--most survivors aren't positioning themselves to be between the victim and the killer, they will hide behind the person on hook while unhooking so if the killer does M1, the one being unhooked takes the hit and gets downed.
I shouldn't have to carry DS in the SITUATION that my team is so stupid to unhook me in front of killer. "Oh your team is trash? bring DS just in case, ya know, they decide to unhook you right in front of a Deathslinger."

When the ---- did I say the unhook deny would INJURE her? I literally never said that--so your little make-believe scenario literally would never happen? Because when you deny someone a heal/pick up it doesn't injure them, so denying an unhook wouldn't injure the Savior either. It would just kick them off me so they cant farm me.
yall are being SO DEFENSIVE lol. so you must be the ones unhooking in front of killers huh lmao.
so in your special scenario--Feng has BT. So I get hit. Now I have to mend. And look--the killer decides to chase me, because I'm already injured. The BT now didn't do anything, because the killer is right back on me, because for SOME REASON yall just love to unhook with the killer as your front row seat audience. Because theres never "Getting away safely" when you UNHOOK RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE KILLER.
For some reason yall are OK with being able to deny heal/pick ups, but denying an unhook OH GOD the humanity, NEVER.
"oH pepPL wOulD trOLL" girl they already DO? How many claudettes and Kate's have I had TODAY unhook me right in front of a bubba... ive legit lost count today. i have all my clips saved, I could make a whole montage just from today.

This is something Survivors think they want, but don't.
Imagine this feature goes into effect.
You are sitting there, on the hook. You got Deliverance. Some Feng runs up to unhook you, and you KICK HER IN THE FACE. Feng then takes off. You wait a few more seconds, and Deliverance.
Two minutes later you get hooked again. Only this time now the Feng does not come to safe you. You die on hook. Now you cry in endgame chat that your team left you to do, and the Feng RIGHTFULLY replies "Last time I went to save you, you kicked me in the face."
Imagine this: Feng comes to unhook you -- killer is right there. So you get downed immediately again and rehooked again.
Now imagine THIS: Feng comes again to unhook you, with killer RIGHT THERE, and the second you 're unhooked you get downed again, and immedately hooked again. Congrats. Your game lasted 4min because your Feng with 2 braincells farmed you.
And it happens in the next game. And the next. And the next.
Its a risk you gotta take in this game--if you wanna get a SAFE unhook, you may need to kick. But you run the risk of not getting someone to save you next time. All the perks in this game have risks like that. Those that wanna cry and ######### and do so--but honestly id like AN OPTION to prevent another survivor from farming me.

I know what it feels like to be on one of those things and then get rekt. Feelsbadman.
Yeah this last game with nurse was just like... really? I had to take a break. It was a cracked nurse on Meatplant so she was just slapping us around like a cat with a wounded lizard, they had like 4 hooks and 0 gens done, and I was running for my LIFE while Obsession was in chase, when I see a yellow glyph. I got it like 90% done when Nurse comes outta nowhere, sees me on glyph, slugs me. Post game I'm like "i cant have glyph?" and then the killer, who got a 4k, proceeds to be toxic post-game chat. No, I've never had a Survivor help me get a challenge done, quite the opposite in fact; back when the challenge to get 4 basement kills was up Survivors would DC after 3 kills every time.
Thats entirely different from a glyph. You have control over getting basement kills, you can't control where a glyph will appear. Your situation doesn't really compare. I'm not saying we should all hold hands and help eachother complete challenges lol. Killers dont exactly let me stun them on purpose or blind them.
-
I'm glad to see its not as polarizing as i initially believed lmao. I guess I've just been unlucky these past few games. I've been stuck on glyphs for 2 days because every time I try to get one the killer downs me like as im right in the middle of it. like i just wanna finish these darn things

i know for 100% certain the killer did NOT drop the survivors at any time, they were picked up once--and in regards to great skillchecks, that wasn't happening either. ill go back and look through the footage again but they were getting good/great skillchecks. but not perfect greats every time.

I wasnt calling you out i was asking others already mention OoO but usually knowing where the killer is isnt as nec as the TR is often times just as good.
If you must know where the killer is use one of the following: Alert, Dark sense, kindred, OoO, Premonition(sort of), Spine chill. I think there is one more but i cant remember its name.
for newer players i guess a map definitely will help but after X amount of times im gotten pretty familiar where gens/totems/chests spawn. im mainly interested in finding aura reading perks, i have a ton for killer but none for survivor save for like 2 mentioned. Spine Chill is a good perk for sure, but not "quite" aura-seeing it probably is the best suggestion since it can be used at any time in the game without conditions.

Why use a perk for auras when you can just use a map
A map isn't going to tell me where the killer is? Like... did you read the post?
I dont need a map to tell me where a gen is when there's literally white blinking lights in the sky that tell me where a gen is. On top of that, maps run out. Perks you can use the whole, or majority, of the game.

Well I mean yeah why else would they even be given faces?
Canonically they all have heads. The faces arent considered canon since they're multi-purpose assets in the game

BTW Neon Nights is actually a Julie skin and not a Susie one so yeah :^)
It's literally not. It's a Suzie skin because it uses the Suzie body model. The assets for the face are the same because they're both caucazoid fem head types, and its cheaper to just re-use an asset than design a whole face that never gets seen.

Oh wow so Julie actually has +1 skins over Susie
And the vast of majority of Julie's skins are just re-skins of her original skin. So you get "slightly" blue-er blue jeans, maybe a pair of khakis.... wheras Suzie gets Killer Kitty, Chinese New Year, Neon Lights--I think you 're just trolling at this point if you think Julie has skins even comparable to Suzies.

Well there's Object of Obsession, Kindred, Dark Sense, (Rancor for killer technically counts), Buckle Up (it sucks but you can see the killer), Babysitter (See Buckle Up), Alert (Underrated af) and probably some others if I'm possibly missing some.
Yeah OOO and Kindred are really the only 2 I could think of, ty for mentioning the others! I'll try to see if I can unlock some of those for my future builds :)

For killer:
lethal pursuer - often equals out to the same value as corrupt but with faster results and less counter play, meaning you generate pressure faster, thus translating into greater pressure over a given timespan. (Depends on the killer though. S tier for Hillbilly)
infectious fright - even on killers with low mobility or lethality, a nicely timed infectious can generate tons of pressure. Get a down, go chase the other survivor, first one gets picked up but now you’ve downed the second. Instead of 1 hook and 3 people sitting on gens you’ve got one slugged, one going for the pickup, and one in chase, and you still get a hook out of it. Plus the first survivor is probably being healed as you hook the second, so now two people spending time healing.
Survivor:
quick n quiet - great for dukes and sneaky locker plays. If used well it can get you out of a bad situation and waste plenty of time for the killer.
empathy - being able to see injured teammates across the entire map is incredibly valuable and can help you make the right calls instead of simply guessing.
aftercare - same as empathy but they don’t need to be injured
All of Jeff's perks are top tier to me and should get more attention. Nothing beats knowing where my entire team is the entire time, whilst also having Distortion to prevent my own aura from being read to the killer by BBQ, and my thicc Jeff butt breaking a hook when I get rescued and preventing the killer from rehooking me. Bring BO just to really make sure my lardbutt escapes.

I have gone TOO LONG not appreciating this perk. It has become so invaluable to me in these Ghostface times.

Kate's are the best. Friendly, team oriented, and highly skilled.
I have found kates to be 50/50. I have a very neutral opinion because they are either GODS, or they are just as bad as Meg's but with cuter hair. But, I will say, I do get sandbagged a lot less from Kates--though somehow they always manage to lure the killer RIGHT to where I'm doing a gen lol

Distortion. It can keep you safe and give you information nothing else in the game can, if you have a lot of game knowledge, you can determine what add-ons or perks are being used based on when a token gets consumed. It also removes scratch marks for 10 seconds which i think a lot of people forget, and this part of the perk can backfire for the killer. For example if The Doctor used static blast with the Restraint add-on, that survivor would lose scratch marks for 10 seconds, not be revealed to the doctor, and that survivor could determine that the doctor is using a restraint add-on which means that madness 2 aura hallucinations are visible.
Jeff perks are so underrated. 2 of them are just bit fat info perks and I literally NEVER see used. with BBQ being so popular now distortion is invaluable

Bond! (at least in Solo Queue, less necessarily obviously for 3 or 4 man SWFs)
Information is king in this game. Knowing where to go when you're hurt. Knowing where to go when someone else is hurt. Knowing where to go when gens are being worked on.
Sometimes, knowing where NOT to go can be just as important (how often have you had teammates accidentally bring the killer right to the gen you're working on when it's just about to pop?).
Or if you're feeling like a vindictive little jerk like I do at times, you can "accidentally" bring the killer to the Claudette who has spent the entire damn match hiding in the bushes 😈
YES haha! The shy Claudettes and Dwights really do be playing hide and seek

For survivor, it's probably Distortion. Even with 3 tokens my opinion on it hasn't really changed. Knowledge is power. Just ask otz after that Legion game that was posted today where he used Blood Echoes lol.
Being able to sometimes confirm that there's a 0% chance of Noed is nice as well.
YES. I love Distortion as well! Honestly all of Jeff's perks are massively underrated and I love him so much. Just because his perks arent meant for looping doesnt mean they aren't useful, especially as a Solo Q survivor who likes to play altruistically, its so helpful to have Aftercare on so I can see where everyone is 100% of the time.

Tbf didn't Julie get the tome outfit?
I'm not defending anything- I really hate Susie lmao and I would've killed for catboy Frank or Joey- but she did at least get something.
her tomb skin is a flannel shirt and jeans. like they pretty much just gave her a fun top texture. and the mask is... so goddamn ugly

@Haddix said:
her cooldown is 100s, and it's extremely punishing.
I've gotta ask, how new are you to the game? how much time do you have in?
also, all of the killer number values (like legion's base frenzy duration) you're talking about are all very publicly displayed on google, on the dbd wiki page for the killers. they're alllllll listed out, every number value for every killer, all in categories for easy viewing. are you sure you've looked enough?
legit looked everywhere legitimate. looked on teh wiki, ive googled it, checked 3 pages of google, checked dbd threads--nothing says how LONG the frenzy lasts, without mods. trust me, I really, really, REALLY tried to look. if you would be so kind, and since its so easy for you, please send me a link that has this encyclopedia of information of every stat of every character in game, because I cant find it myself.
and playing around her TVs, doesnt seem to do anything. unless youre willing to hold a tape teh entire game, or are really good at looping, theres hardly ANYTHING ive seen anyone can do against this killer. every game ive ever played with her i dont see more than 2 gens pop. her semi-stealth while is easy to see, its only easy if youre OBJECTIVELY LOOKING FOR IT. If i just happen to blink at the wrong time, i could miss her phasing animation as shes approaching, and most of the time her TVs are right next to a gen or objective, so listening for her is almsot impossible because the TVs drown out so much ambient noise--unless i take the tape. but even if I am able to get an audio or visual warning, theres hardly enough time for me to react. if she craws out of a TV, shes about 2m from me at max, and the audio cue maybe gave me a 1-2 head start on her. if i visually see her coming, thats about a 30m headstart and tahts ONLY if I saw her wayyyyy over there as she was phasing.
ive been trying to find youtube videos on how to counter her and literally every "counter" video i can find is just some looping GOD going "lul so easy" which isnt an option for me. with 300+ hours in the game i know what sounds are supposed to sound like, and the static noise everyone calls her lullaby hardly counts as a cue to me because the entire game is affected by a static affect, both visually and audio.

The same could be said for many. Take Nurse for example, the best killer in the game, barely has any skins compared to someone like Spirit, let alone actual good skins.
Similar case can be made for survivors, there are barely any (good) skins available for Jeff(he gets less skins per year than Jonah, and Jonah has only been out for 6 months), yet every single year Feng gets 5 skins. Feng Min has more skins than Jake, who is an original survivor to the point that "Jake squad" triggers PTSD in veteran killers.
Thing is, not many people play Jeff, and not many people play Legion. And when people do play Legion, they play Suzie or Joey. The lack of skins for Frank, Julie and Jeff doesn't help either, but why put priority in something that's barely going to gain money, when you could focus on characters that would earn 5x as much? Feng is definitely going to get another skin around the anniversary, Spirit too. If Legion gets a skin, he'll get one for Suzie and/or Joey. That's simply where the money is.
I would love a nurse skin thats pretty much just a ghost drape like Bert from Obsideo, I would love for Jeff to have killer based outfits, he already has Clown and Wraith cosplays, might aswell add the rest of the cast. But from a business perspective, it's going to be second or third to characters like Spirit and Feng.
Legion is an insanely populer killer--and im willing to bet MONEY that the reason people play Joey and Suzie over Frank/Julie is because THEY'RE THE ONES WITH COOL SKINS. like if youre playing teh same killer, would you rather be the drab leather jacket and jeans or a neon-kitten glitz, or a cyborg terminator dude? like really?

How about this: Deep Wound would indeed tick down while moving and being chased UNLESS the survivor is withing a certain radius of another survivor, essentially letting them seek out other survivors, maybe even ferretting them out, just so that they don't go down while being chased. This would counter Legions weakness of "spread out! Weeeeeeee" and I like the subtle "traitor" flavor of leading Legion to your friends, just so that they will leave you alone so that you can mend yourself in the dark and cold.
yo...i love this. even as a survivor id legit be OK with this. like... yo. tiny stuff man. i dont want Legion to be an S tier god but just make em make sense and this makes sense! i love this

Man, people really got tripped up by the very basic symbolism and metaphor in Legion's trailer. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't very good, but it was also pretty easy to follow?
Regardless, I disagree with your assessment. Legion's core power functions absolutely fine, it's just too weak; too punishing with its fatigue, too easy to counter by splitting up, too lacking in lethality. The buffs they're getting are going to cover all of Legion's actual weaknesses, and then they'll be a perfectly serviceable killer.
They already have quite a lot of fans. Legion are very popular, so clearly the core concept of their power and the way it ties into their actual concept and vibe as characters aren't fundamentally broken.
How does "running fast" tie into their lore--at all?
