I mean...her killrate is among the lowest, her pick rate is among the lowest, and the actual content of the posts is more about how unfun she is rather than a power thing. The goalposts are on Neptune at this point.
"Among the lowest"
She's picked more than nearly half the cast (7 killers are picked less than her at red ranks)
"kill rate is among the lowest"
By a kill every 5 rounds, compared to the average.
By the way you're measuring, even if she had her kill rate at 72% like it previously was it'd still be 'among the lowest' since it'd only be better than 8/17 killers.
-
>A 60% killrate is a 2K on average. Your killrate per match is either 0/25/50/75/100% of the survivors.
That's uhh... that's not how percentages work with averages. Also, it's 65.8% which is closer to 70% than it is to 60% if we're rounding.
But you already had your conclusion before the data even came out, and you're fudging it to fit your conclusion (see: calling 65.8% "60%") so I don't know that there's much discussion to be had here.
EDIT: For those curious, 65.8% ~= 2.6 kills per round. Previously, she had 72.71 ~= 2.9 kills per round. So that long post is saying the Nurse is terrible because she now gets 1 fewer kills every 4 rounds on average.

No, you had it right, he made a mistake. Your build works - Nemesis will activate and show you the person's aura when they become the obsession after unhooking the current obsession (because Furtive Chase).
No, he was right and you both are misreading the perk. People tested it - it's only when you're stunned/blinded.

I slug the person who's on their last hook, or my obsession since I usually run DD

U-N-B-R-E-A-K-A-B-L-E and adrenaline to.
Unbreakable works once per trial, and is basically Deliverance (better than, for obvious reasons of not needing an activation condition)
Adrenaline helps you in the scenario where the killer closes the hatch before hooking you, which most will if they happen across it for the sweet sweet extra BP

Theyre talking about downing the survivor then killing the other survivor so they dont get the hatch then coming back and hooking the downed player for a 4k.
Right which effectively gives them what I described: an extra hook state that lasts for 3 minutes and give survivors nothing for the rescue, while also being more difficult to rescue people from even in the best case scenario (they've recovered at all)
-
Slugging is like a hook state that takes 30 seconds to save someone from (as if they ever recover) and doesn't give you WGLF stacks or use of any of your perks, and you can't even end it early to move on to the next match.
Also it penalizes the killer since they're not actually hooking a survivor so they miss out on sacrifice points.

Old freddy only had sleep then they finally reworked him.
Right, so why do people think that locker teleports and stealth will be enough. You'll still just get looped, no?
-
The locker idea won't be enough. Imagine if Freddy only had gen teleports.
-
I mean the real trick is just not get hit and then you don't have to worry about the mend timer.

We did not change Deep Wound time just to "fix" Legion. It was an idea we came up with that could help with the Legion frustration problems, but then we evaluated it and the other ramifications it would have. We decided that it was a good idea for several reasons and went with it.
Have you guys reconsidered your stance on legion's power re: mobility vs tracking trade-off? I remember you(?) making a post some time ago saying that the removal of scratch marks while using Legion's power was intentional since it wouldn't be fair if Legion happened across scratch marks while traversing the map with their power.

No need to... because Furtive Chase makes them become the obsession. It meets Nemesis' requirements.
You're misreading it - Nemesis should be treated as 'when you are stunned or blinded, your obsession changes and <other effects>' not 'whenever your obsession changes or you are stunned/blinded'
-
Even if behavior doesn't publish this info, you should be able to get a rough idea from steamstats.
-
What's funny is the Legion could instead have played the Oni and 1-shot you with their power instead.
-

Flicking sure is uh... it's a thing.
-
Just make it a fixed radius of like 16m that it doesn't go down in like I think I saw you suggest in another thread as a temp fix, imo.
And then rework legion to ditch deep wound entirely.
-
Actually, let's do some quick math:
5.0 m/s to 5.2m/s means you get an extra 2m over the course of FF, so you catch up to a survivor about half a second faster than you had previously (100% = 4m/s so 2m = 0.5s) over the course of 10 seconds.
You vault pallets 0.45s faster, which means you can start catching up to them about half a second sooner. It's nicer because this 0.5s is frontloaded rather than requiring you to use your entire frenzy to see. Also if you end up having to vault multiple pallets the gains are even larger.

Well, if you list all of Plague's strengths and none of her downsides compared to Legion, then yeah, she seems pretty good.
But Plague has no mobility whatsoever, no mechanics to directly stall objective completion, and a tracking ability that only works if the survivors choose to touch infected objects. She also needs to repeatedly land Vile Purges on survivors before they actually get sick; getting a survivor fully sick can easily take a lot more time than getting a hit with FF, especially in small enclosed maps.
And honestly, if you look at the actual numbers, every killer is viable. Every killer gets more than 2 kills on average, even at red ranks.

Interesting. So why are people calling these changes a nerf again?
That build has nothing to do with these changes and would've worked without them. It's entirely on the Nemesis perk (or beasts of prey perk).
People are calling it a nerf because the negative changes don't outweigh the positive changes, in their opinions. I personally think the vaulting changes are big, but a 4% (125% * 1.04 = 130%) increase in move speed is really... meh compared to other movement abilities in the game.

According to the wiki, Nurse moves at 0.96 m/s during fatigue. But the wiki doesn't say anything about Legion's fatigue animation. I've noticed many times that I can cover a surprising amount of ground during Legion's fatigue animation, while Nurse's fatigue animation feels like I'm trying to push a Nurse-shaped statue.
And that's good to know that Deep Wounds will tick down if you're in a chase but outside the TR. But I still doubt that "moonwalking" with deep wounds will ever be anything more than a gimmick. Why waste a perk slot and wait 30 seconds for the survivor to drop dead when you can just press M1?
I think the video kinda explains itself - guaranteed down in 30s regardless of what the survivor does. And that was with the legion not really chasing either.
-
I think the new killer breaks pallets faster than legion vaults them too in FF? I've heard 0.6s to break a pallet with the charge attack.
-
@StopDropPANIC said:
So this is countered by just not stunning him? The "old Legion" had no counter at all so I'm not sure you can say he's back.
Then he just blood lusts you with Beasts of Prey :)

One, this assumes that you don't get hit by the pallets, this means you just have to chase them for a shorter amount of time. The new perk is dependant on getting hit, With BoP you don't have to get hit, you just have to follow them.
-
That's not even the good combo. Nemesis + Legion is way stronger since you can just eat a pallet then frenzy them and down them in 20 seconds guaranteed instead of having to wait 15s for blood lust.
Or you could just play the new killer and instant down them.
-
The new killer power rubs me the wrong way because I remember specifically a dev here saying that Legion has to make a choice between using their power for map traversal and using their power for attacking.
Then we get this killer that... doesn't have to make that choice at all. Also, they 1-shot with their power instead.
-
wasn't he already pay to win though since you had to buy him
-
Err... how would it work with a locker given that Head On is also an exhaustion perk?
-
actually its me.
its my fault the community is so bad.
please forgive.

Legion issue can be solve by making chase affected for deep wound effect. If you are in chase the timer don't go down, Trust me the player won't risk losing the chase for moonwalking.
All legion need with these changes is his cooldown reverted to 3s and his basic attack penalty removed (gauge depletion).
I... er... what? That's how it use to work and we know how that turned out.
-
Nemesis is going to be so much worse for this. Making the FF target oblivious for 40s

If we want to bring realism into this, it's not very realistic to step in a bear trap, free yourself, then proceed to jump out of a second story window multiple times without even being phased by the fall. Gameplay comes before realism.
It's funny - I was wondering why you were commenting on this and then I was like 'oh ptb patch notes must be out'
You should obviously just put survivors in the dying state when they jump out of the second story.
-
Ah okay that clarifies things - thanks!
-
Oh so there's going to be another set of challenges that we can do that aren't part of the current 1-4?
-
Tbh the sacrificial alter idea actually sounds kinda neat. If it gave altruism points and maybe a wglf stack and was nothing at all like what OP suggested it could be fun.

That's not the point I'm making.
I'm saying it's a bit extreme to call it an "excuse" when the person literally has to pay to prove a point to you.
BTW there are m/kb adapters for console. You could easily buy a PS4/Xbox, a Xim adapter, and DBD. So if your "excuse" is controls it's not a valid one ?
@ScottJund yeah Scott why didn't you spend like $660+ to do this? No dedication. /s
If someone bought you dbd for PC would you do it @thesuicidefox

"survivors want to nerf the strong killers down to the same level as the weak killers , and survivors have to much power in the game what with gen rushing and invincibility when using ds" he also said that plague is on the same level as doctor.
So I take it they didn't play or follow dbd prior to like last year right? If they did they'd remember 40s gens. Or BNPs

Good luck in red ranks against stridor spirits . Or wait usually people who defend spirit don't even have rank 10 on survivors
I can't really blame people for not having high ranks rn with how bad queues have been tbh

That is just factually incorrect. She does move grass and Corn when phasing. I've seen it whenever I'm on a corn map.
Crows are spooked by her phase. I've had many approaches ruined by them.
It's noticeable when you're at a loop, which is what people complain about.
Flashlights are better on PC than console, admittedly, which is the platform I use.
Most people I've noticed don't try to do this.
And I said that perk is unreliable myself. I list it as a possible counter. But then, a perk shouldn't negate a killer's power at all.
Could you post a video of the corn/grass stuff happening then?
I've seen this claimed a lot and have not once seen video evidence.
-
I know ruin tends to go quick at high ranks, but that's ridiculous!
-
Huh, that bit of insight actually explains a lot. I think I agree with Volfawott though - all of the other killer traversal powers don't have that drawback.
For example, The Spirit moves at something like 175% and can see scratch marks.

tbh I'd prefer this clown theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvMe0_qxfVI

It would at least give the killer their well earned points for doing their objective.
Still sucks for survivors though.
Don't you end up de-pipping anyway because you 'win' too fast? Like, if everyone suicides on hook how many emblem points do you get?
-
Wait, how's tenacity help with being slugged (especially when there's two survivors left)? Unbreakable and No Mither both let you get up by yourself.
-
Punishing DCs would just result in people suiciding on the hook, so it doesn't really solve anything.
-
Nooo my wait times will be back up :(
-
Is it me?
Will I be the best killer?
-
You could have gen kicking cause a 2.5% regression. Then it'd at least be time neutral with default kick time (2s for killers to kick, 2s for survivors to undo) without being super spammable. And it'd punish gen tapping repeatedly.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Like seriously.
Hex ruin is very likely to waste over 120 seconds
PGTW wastes 20 seconds per hook
Dying light wastes 100 seconds (and is considered terrible)
This perk only wastes 80 seconds
This would literally be the worst time wasting perk in the game besides Thanataphobia.
Curious - where'd you get the numbers for Hex Ruin? And Dying Light? Does Dying Light assume you kill the survivor ASAP?
-
Which map(s) would you say are a 'good size' for killers right now?
-
Didn't they say during the anniversary stream that they were looking at fixing loops to be less strong?
