Well, Nurse and Spirit got significant nerfs. Billy is considered the best killer after them in their prime. Hopefully the nerf stick does not come for him next.
Nurse's nerf was not too bad, people still manage and I still think she's very good.
Spirit honestly feels the same, just with a vault animation.
I hope Billy doesn't get nerfed either. He actually requires more skill than I thought. His chainsaw is tough!

@EZ5k said:
Nah, he's coming back because Ruin got gutted, and he's one of the few killers who can actually deal with it.
Aaaah, that's correct. completely forgot about that Ruin nerf. Well, can't wait to see more Billies, just like the old days!
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
Billy is my favorite meta killer. Nurse isn't meta anymore right?
no, she is still very good. Totally forgot about Nurse because even with her strength (before nerf) I haven't faced her nearly as much I've faced Billy.

I hope they don't add shirtless Myers. The escaped patient costume already looks out of place enough
I agree. I rewatched Halloween and I swear that the outfit was NOT that detailed. It just looked like a white gown to me. Though, it was fairly dark and stormy during that scene, but who knows?
-
@Fibijean said:
So if I've understood correctly, the TL;DR is, "please no Shirtless Myers"?
Honestly, I'd be very surprised if 80% of the community want that to happen. I think for most people, it's just a meme. It's fun to pretend that everyone is just thirsting for Shirtless Myers, but I think in reality the amount of people who genuinely want to see it in the game is probably much smaller.
That AND other things I’ve listed. Like certain killers. It’s weird to me how we only see the best of the best, but we don’t see the ones that won’t profit as well.

Seems good to me, except for number 2.
The issue isn't hit boxes, that is ping related to dedicated servers.
Yup. Because horrible hitboxes never existed before dedicated servers.

I've run into Ruin several times from several different killers who were around my rank (rank 16). The first few times I encountered the perk, I had no idea what to do about it. Didn't even know you had to look for a totem. And I still can't hit regular skill checks confidently, let alone great ones. So, these Ruin changes will help me out immensely.
However, being horrendous at something at first is just the price of being new to a game like this, I think. There's so much about this game that takes experience and a bit of Googling to understand. Ruin was just another thing I had to learn to deal with like everything else about this game. Like, I still don't know how to loop a killer and I'll usually get caught almost immediately. I'm not going to ask the devs to slow the killer down though, lmao. But that's just my take on it.
OMG YOU’RE SO SWEET, PURE, AND INNOCENT! Let me guide you, fellow survivor! 🙌

Then you guys know what you need to do 😏
Buff demo? Nerf Inner Strength? Nerf Steve? You’re so vague.
-
Uhh I get a Steve at least EVERY game. I wish Strangers Things never happened tho?
-
It is actually pretty bad.

blame the emblem system. Survivors also get “punished” if their team dcs

Love it. and, I know it’s kinda of a weird suggestion, but Shadowborn COULD help so that you don’t bump into an object off screen. With Shadowborn you’re more aware of your surroundings
-
I mean, if you’re a rank 1 killer you’re basically forced to be a try hard sweaty bloody Nurse, Spirit, or Freddy so not much has changed..
-
I don’t want to be that guy, but this is jumping to conclusions WAY too early. I’m sure the bricked windows and doors are just for the aesthetic of the map.
-
He is so not worth it, no.
-
Pretty sad to read this. Maining a BUNCH of original and semi- original characters I get to dress them up in so many different ways! But the new ones don’t get too much love

Hi, thanks for taking the time to do the survey, and for sharing your perspective 😊 I also enjoyed the challenges on the whole, but I definitely get where you're coming from with the grind and the burnout. A lot of people seem to have had a similar experience.
And I agree, I love the new Hag skin! It's one of my favourite things on the new Rift. It's just a recolour, but a damn good one in my opinion.
the new ice hag? It does look good! Better than Haggage.
-
Love that

Oh they do. They do listen. But sometimes they want it to be THIER game. Ya know, the game THEY made?

Probably wanted to see how cool their map looks and plays even though they don't play much, then have the forum talk mad trash about how they played, it's a wonder why these guys don't play the game more, eh?
Yeah cus everyone’s ungrateful and picks at them when they do something they don’t like. Worse community of players ever

DS isn’t broken. Just because you get annoyed when you get hit doesn’t mean it’s op like keys and Ebony moris

Can anyone actually confirm that they are actually employees at BHVR?
no they can’t, they just say these things to make the developers look bad after they did something that they didn’t like.
-
Those were not confirmed devs...
-
it was good, I guess. I liked the Claudette charms and a few cosmetics and such but nothing else really stood out to me

ok but Over Charge isn’t even good and the gens still regress at ungodly speed anyway. Kinda having a built in Pop. Use Surveillance

okay. that was about a year ago. dont see how this is you can use that as a argument.
Okay. But might as well never buff them if they cared at all, right?
-
Yeah. One of the worst and toxic community I’ve seen to be honest. Not even the devs and staff. It’s the people that play it.

What buffs has trapper and hag gotten in the last 6 months?
Old Hag and Old Trapper. Remember them? They were AWFUL

Ranks really don't matter now folks.
You’re right, but let’s suppose you’re rank 1 and paired up with a rank 10 or less. You obviously want someone who is AT LEAST around your skill level.

Nobody cares if you leave the game.
80%+ of players using the perk, just as Self Care did. It needed to be nerfed, sorry to bring you back to reality.
youre actually right. After the Self Care nerf, the perk usage dropped dramatically and yet survivors are still doing well without it

You didn't address the best use for Dead Hard and you're bashing this guy.
10/10
Feel free to explain how to counter Dead Hard "for distance."
I'll even be so kind as to explain it, since you may not know, as you did not address it...
You use Dead Hard to gain the little bit of distance needed to reach the pallet/vault that you then use to extend the chase.
Answer: you DON’T counter it in that instance, genius. Unless you’re Huntress or Long Lunge Freddy. It’s a perk for a reason. Distance is important. But

Killers find DS, Dead hard and BT annoying to play against when are those getting gutted BHVR? Oh wait I forget killer's don't get privileges.
DS: don’t tunnel or just slug
BT: Just don”t tunnel lol
Dead Hard: Not even that annoying. Just wait for it. You must be rank 21 with these arguments.

that is true for small changes and changes to individual killers
this is a nerf to a perk used by all killers most of the time. and a HUGE NERF, legioning it. more people will leave / just not play killer once ruin nerf goes live. more people than you think.
I for one will only think about playing killer only if I use an E mori. other than that I will be playing only survivor. with this change tho survivor Q times will rocket. and the rate of tunneling, camping, moris, iri heads, etc will be much more common
Suuureee lol. You have no idea how this works. The majority of killers aren’t immature like you.

Ghostface's monster noise was removed because it made him awful at actual stealth, that woosh noise you mean right?
No
-
@Murcielago said:
Oh yeah man you're right look how fast they fixed sounds for killers it's only been a few months and grabbing survivors still bugged
Hey, survivors still can’t hear Michael Myer’s breathing and Ghost Face’s monster noises from 8 meters away. So it evens out.

@Sonzaishinai said:
The new ruin is actually a lot stronger then people realise i think
It's just reads weak

Lol, for trapping killers Corrupt Intervention is much more worthful bcs Survivors literally cannot repair far gens.
Thank you, you get it! :) Ruin doesn't give you that. Survivors can literally still repair it.
-
@FregglesFred said:
It's a good perk. It's strong. To say it's weak, and deny it's purpose, slow down the game. If it slowed someone down by a totem cleanse, or one skill-check missed, I'm happy. If 5 minutes my totem is there, that's a MAJOR help. You know how much time matters, right?
You're complaining just as much as we are.
@Murcielago said:
Most killers like trapper need early game to be effective unless you want to lose three gens before you get one hook and the new ruin is useless early and late game since it's still a ruin and doesn't work with pop , overcharge and surge since you can't kick a regressing gen
Unlike Ruin, Corrupt Intervention gives you 2 CONFIRMED minutes that 3 generators won't be worked on. Ruin can be destroyed the first 20 seconds of the match. The amount of times I've spawned d next to their totem and BOOM the killer has 3 perks now
-
Not really feeling a Silent Hill chapter.
I, personally, LOVE a Prey at Night chapter, since the 3 Strangers are PERFECT for this game!
La Llorana would be nice, I guess, but not sure how her power would work with the whole drowning kids thing.
I kinda want Carrie as a killer, she would be fun to play as and against.

This is so silly. Statements like this show people don't understand how markets work. If the customers are continually dissatisfied they will stop buying the product. Consumer feedback should be at least considered, not ignored, if the company wants to continue to grow. No one is saying the players should make the final decisions. But when the community who actually plays the game for hours at a time tell the devs that a change is bad, the devs should slow down and think about it.
Over one perk... think about that
-
@SurvivorMainPeriod said:
Then just quit, no one cares. Crying over a single perk that you’re obviously over reliant on tells a lot about your play style. We’re better off without you.
Thank you. You're right.

Map design is currently horrid. Many chases require 0 skill, and it's just chain loop after chain loop on certain maps. Others are gigantic, and 65% of your match will be spent walking from point a to point b. Some killers absolutely need Ruin to have a good chance to win on certain maps. What is Clown going to do on Red Forest, what about Huntress?
If the maps were not garbage, this change would be entirely fine.
no, no. You're absolutely right. Map design, imo, is so and only because it is RNG. The amount of times I have gotten strong map tiles lined in a row is insane.
Not sure how Clown will suffer, since he's pretty fast. But other killers like Huntress, Trapper, Hag, etc are pretty screwed. But there are other perks killers can use. Pop, Corrupt, et... (don't know much good killer generator slow down perks)
