You guys literally complain about buffs too? What?

Why not just make gens take longer to repair?
Bad idea. Never going to happen. So don't count on it :)

As a survivor main.... this will not fix ANYTHING

I'm not your guy, friend.

The question was asked and I answered. No need to get snarky. Or are people only allowed to answer yes on this thread?
Even if I was willing to spend money on DbD, I don’t care to buy collectibles from any game/media that I may enjoy. They’re just not my thing.
There you go, that’s better.
-
@AvisDeene said:
Nope.
We get it, you don’t want to spend or give money to this game anymore.

I wonder what that golden rule is…

What do you mean? Gen times ARE fine :)

"I ran the killer all game, I deserved to escape"
"I had all 3 of these survivors hooked during the EGC...One kobe'd and they all had borrowed time and DS"
Does that killer not deserve the kills? By your own, broken logic, he does.
Unlike Rancor, none of these perks last forever. While Rancor persists.

Thats what you pay for being an obsession.
Being the obsession isn't always in your control.
Sometimes, even if the killer or any other survivor doesn't use an obsession perk, there will still be an obsession

Like I said, you didn't earn the escape until you're out the door.
By your logic, DS and borrowed time shouldn't exist either.
elaborate.

@Kurosuji said:
You're worried about Rancor, meanwhile I'm struggling to figure out why moris or keys are still in the game.
Haha, honestly only the Ebony moris is the issue.
Keys haven’t been getting their own nerfs, but there have been ways to weaken them.
Like having to do a set amount of gens, closing the hatch and such...
-
@Fibijean said:
Rancor does give you warning that it's active. It doesn't just come out of nowhere at the end of the game. And the killer can't see survivor auras, only their general locations when the perk activates. The strategy to counter Rancor is to make yourself scarce when the last generator is about to pop, and play as stealthily as possible after that point. Let someone else open the gate and then run through it when the killer is not nearby. And if they catch you, then you got outplayed. It happens. Lament your loss and move onto the next game.
I did notice it was there, which is good on me.
I honestly forget that it didn’t COMPLETELY revealed the survivor, so that was good to know.
I really did try to be stealthy at the end, by leaving the generator early and trying to be as an immerse Claudette I could be.
But try as I may, it just didn’t work. Also, again, it was a Doctor. The killer MADE to remove stealth.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/128334/why-does-rancor-as-a-perk-exist
Why Does BT/DS/DH/UB exist?
Borrowed Time is to prevent tunnelers.
Decisive Strike is to prevent being tunneled.
Dead Hard is a fun lil’ exhaustion perk, I guess?
And I don’t even know what UB stands for....

You don't earn an escape until you're out the door.
Did well in chases.
Healed and unhooked teammates.
Haven’t been downed or hooked.
The team did all five generators.
Totally didn’t deserve to live.
Running out the door is HOW you escape, not earn it, silly billy.

I'm sure your post that you made because you and your friends wont stop gen rushing enough to be bothered to look for totems and dont like dying for it at the end will get a lot of killers to not use it. Not. Every survivor game I play the killers brought noed. I always bring noed now and will continue to do so until they fix the game, because nothing is more satisfying than one hit downing a cocky ass genrushing teabagging flash clicking hook teching survivor and then waiting for his buddies to come rescue him. It's the best thing this game has to offer.
How sad
-
Oh my, good to know even KILLER mains disapprove of NOED!
Good to hear, honestly.

Yes

I'm late to the party, but "second chance" perks are different for killers than they are for survivors.
All 2nd chance perks for survivors enable them to achieve an outcome without the help of another survivor.
Decisive Strike: Escape the killer's grasp. Alternative = Pallet stuns, locker stuns, flashlight saves, and breakout from another survivor come to mind.
Unbreakable: Pick yourself up from the dying state. Alternative = Another survivor heals you
Dead Hard: Avoid damage and gain additional distance. Alternative = Another bodyblocking survivor tanks a hit.
Borrowed Time: Avoid a killing blow and gain additional distance. Alternative = Another bodyblocking survivor tanks a hit.
Endgame perks aren't the same in that they don't directly help a killer gain a hit or down on a survivor the way survivor perks will directly aid the survivor in a losing position.
NoED: Does not directly aid a killer in gaining a hit or down. Can be prevented entirely.
Blood Warden: Does not directly aid a killer in gaining a hit or down.
There is a distinct difference between the two roles. As such, 2nd chance perks can't be directly compared since the killer doesn't have another player to aid them in place of a perk the way survivors do.
The killer must still play somewhat skillfully to get something out of NoED and Blood Warden. The same cannot be said for the Survivor 2nd chance perks.
Same things could have been said with all “survivor second chance” perks.

How wholesome.

you earned ? if I slug someone at the beginning of the game how did they earn unbreakable? if I hook someone and chase them after they get unhooked how did they earn ds? please explain.
If you tunnel, they’ve earned it. If the killers tries to slug for the 4K, they’ve earned it.
Perks like these don’t get used too much because not all killers slug and tunnel. Most of the times they don’t even come into play.

because its 16 vs 4 perks. you survivor mains have to stop thinking that your powers have to be equal to killer powers, because they dont. Its 4 vs 1 not 1 vs 1.

unbreakable isn't a second chance perk? deliverance? dead hard ?
Nope, it’s an extra effect you’ve earned from getting a safe unhook, slugged, and not getting insta downed I guess.

There are so much “second chance perks” for both sides.

No.

How are they limited? There are so much generator slow down perks.

@Heartbound said:
Confirmation bias. They'll lose all their gens in a killer game but won't hop over to survivor to see all the hatch or hook games.
I can’t even understand what you tried to say there.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
Most survivor groups are potatoes when it comes to gen position. They just see a gen and start doing it. A lot of times they do the farthest gens first. Now the last 5 gens are very close to each other and you can defend them better.
Also new Ruin is not as bad as is made out to be. It's quite effective on killers that can scramble survivors. It's made more effective with Surveillance (which is a good perk on its own too).
It's because too many killers think they should 4k 5gen every game thanks to old Ruin. They can't seem to accept SOME GENS get done. It's just a fact of life.
If you play smart you can force survivors into a 3 gen. You do this as most killers by the time you get 1 kill, you will win the game.
@xEa said:
Its about expectation. Most killer mains have like 3 amazing games in a row.. all 3-4Ks, and then they get stomped one time and then they are upset.
Look at this Hexy guy for example. Complaining nonstop about evil genrushing survivors when he gets 4K after 4K after 4K. Same with True Talent. Most of his games he is starting with "aaaaww aweful ruin spawn" "gonna be a very hard game" "swf very hard to beat" "how is this fair" etc... and in the end, he wins more often then not.
Maybe godcomplex, idk.
I think both of you have the right idea. Killer expectations. Old Ruin made them think they're SUPPOSED to get all kills before the first gen is even done.
-
@Mikeasaurus said:
Seems like most killer mains who relied on Ruin, or any slowdown type perks have lost their skill or something? I see Gens popping fast early on sure, you can't really stop 2 or 3 going off when you can only pressure 1 survivor, but late game isn't always as bad as people try to make it
Absolutely. Even with Corrupt Intervention, 2 gens will GUARANTEE be popped. Just let them go. Late game is where survivors start to lack.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/126373/stealth-doesnt-exist-anymore-so-stop-trying
It's not that stealth can't exist more like people have a hard time doing it.
ESPECIALLY when survivors are so easy to see and SO loud!
-
@ZoneDymo said:
"Tired of the meta" and yet I see Adrenaline, Borrowed Time and Iron Will in there?
Haha, yeah, I see that now, but I don’t think it’s much compared to running Adrenaline, BT, DS, and Dead Hard in a full loadout like that.
Plus, these perks are all meant to correspond to the survivor’s personality and or traits.
Borrowed Time for Claudette since she’s like helping people.
Adrenaline for Meg since she’s an athlete and I’m sure she gets TON of it.
@CornMoss said:

Lol true, I think he means just all meta perks though
I did. It’s not very fun using the same things over and over and over again just because we HAVE to. So, I decided to try something new (and share them) with these survivor specific builds.
-
@Stitch7833 said:
just do a random perk wheel, survivor is pretty easy regardless of perks and it does make the game more interesting imo
But if you get the BAD perks like No Mither and Deja Vu…

@Livearth said:
Have you ever? try the build: Autodidact, Emphaty, Solidarity, spine chill. Pretty fun build, almost insta heal.
Don’t have Autodidact, and nor do I want to. But that build actually does sound kinda fun. I could honestly replace Adam’s perk with Botany or Resilience.
-
Claudette, duh. The smartest woman in the entity’s realm will SURLEY be one of the few to REALLY escape...
