aside from all the clear english scholars here... my god cringe.
OP youre not wrong at all. a ton of big content creators have come out to say that making content right now is difficult because of the servers. killer is plagued with horrid bugs and survivor feels miserable alot of times. patience is all we have left. idk man
For once, we agree. I'm not quite as... defeatist about it, but yeah it's rough.

I honestly find Survivor one of the most boring and tedious experiences in a game (at least in recent memory) so maybe try some Killer out?

Yea, not even my mega thread has gotten any love.

Honestly the more I think of it, the more I realize that Deep Wounds is what is holding Legion back. It's what makes Feral Frenzy so hard to balance and makes Legion either Broken in half or Useless. I think that the Devs should remove Deep Wound from Legion and replace it with something else.... with the best idea for that i've seen being Mob Mentality by Mong.@Peanits What do you think? Good idea?

I also wondered why was the OP getting the not so impressive stuff. Apparently 2 purple toolboxes, a green Commodious Toolbox (argueably the best toolbox) that all have BNP, and a Skeleton Key with increased duration, and a killer spoting add ons isn't op and crutch at all what so ever. They also put purple Oak offering to have the hooks as far away as possible, while having Adrenaline and BT in there builds (I bet the BT was for hook rushing in front of the killer). And to top it all off, two people DCed so one of their teammates could get the hatch.
There is some major double standards here and the fact is people were expecting a low tier killer to win. Yep, like a legion, or clown would be able to beat this right guys?
IKR?

How only a few Killers are good at high ranks. I want to play some of the other Killers when i get high ranked, BHVR. Please buff the lower tier Killers to something that can handle Red Ranks. Legion REALLY needs it, so does Clown and Wraith.

Good job on trying to make a farming simulator.

I couldn't agree more. I've been following the game since the Nightmare on Elm Street release, and only started playing during the Stranger Things release. I am a Rank 1 Killer, and Rank 1 Survivor, but I consider myself as a Killer main.
When I first started playing the game was really fun. I started playing Killer, and started with the Stranger Things bundle, and the Nightmare on Elm Street DLC (Always been my favorite horror movie). Sure I lost a lot, but I still had fun, because the people I was facing was learning too. I felt like I was catching people off guard, and competing in mind games.
Then I reached higher ranks, and started optimizing my builds, learned other killers. Even started to try Survivor. I put a lot of time, effort, and work to play to rank 1 as killer. Feeling pretty good of myself getting there, but the problem I was seeing in higher ranks, is the game is boring.
You're not catching people off guard anymore, survivors run to the nearest infinite loops, or other loops. You can't mind game them because you require them to use pallets as fast as possible, because if you don't drop the pallets fast enough you lose by their existence. A good example is that if you start working on a generator with 1-2 other survivors at the start of the match, and don't get off it till the killer arrives. You finish a gen before the killer can even make it to that side of the map. If you chase 1 other person, that's 3 other people on gens and a good survivor can finish a gen in 2 minutes or less. A game can end in 4 minutes with perks and survivor items/add ons, on the repair speeds alone.
It feels almost like if you play like a person, and try to play mind games with survivors. You lose because gens go up too fast. If you stop chasing 1 person, that person immediately goes onto a gen. You chase someone else who immediately peels into the nearest loop. If you try to mind game they just force you to loop. If you follow them, you get a pallet and they use an exhaustion perk to get to the next loop (which rank 1's would agree with me Balanced Landing, and Dead Hard are not actually the best exhaustion perks, Lithe is. It's more consistent across all levels, and more readily available than Dead Hard). The game in high ranks feels like if you play as a person, you lose, but if you play as a robot. You may win - if the survivors mess up a lot, and they unskilled ones who only got there on these exploits alone are the only ones who do.
Anyways, so here I am a Rank 1 Killer, and the game isn't fun anymore because it's more of a looping simulator now than it is an asymmetrical game. Here is my experience as a survivor.
I am a rank 1 survivor, and again i'm not a survivor main. I got rank 1 survivor from my first time trying in only two days. That's right. It took me 2 days as survivor to get rank 1 in the first month of me playing this game. How I did that. Well after all of my experience as a killer, I simply remembered the loops I saw high level survivors run to. I remember the most common perks I've seen as killer that made the game so easy for them. Copied that, and even though I was royal trash at the role. I was able to walk Rank 1 Killers who put the same time and effort into the game as I did through the same loops, and received no punishment for it the same as the survivors I faced. I knew from my experience as a killer main, how to counter Nurse, Spirit, Freddy, and other killers that many survivors on Reddit, forums, and in game cry are "broken" with ease, simply because I forced them into looping instead of mind games. (Nurse you can loop if you move the loop towards her when she prepares jumps, and away from her when she is recharging. Spirit you use sound notifications to confuse her, and hide your scratch marks. Freddy you stay awake, which is easier by having people who were recently hooked wake you up instead of running across the map to a clock, or failing a gen skill check. Etc. Etc. Etc).
Anyways it was too easy, far far far too easy to become a rank 1 survivor compared to a killer that took actual time, and research into knowing what's strong and what's not.
If I were a dev for this game, and asked what I would do to better balance it. I would say reduce the pallets in the level to make them more of a limited resource that players had to put in the effort to conserve. Make them think (If I drop this pallet, or loop him around this pallet will it punish us in the long run), or reduce the speed that survivors can repair gens, or make the survivors repair more gens, or reduce the survivors down to 3 instead of 4. However I think the later options are terrible, when there are killers that could take advantage of an even lower gen speed (Freddy), more gens (Freddy), and reducing survivors makes it hard to play with a group of friends. However reducing the pallets, could be a big game changer that makes survivor require a lot more skill to play. Another issue would be balance the game expecting the killer to get 3-4 kills a game, or change the ranking system that a killer considered to have won if he get's 2 kills in that game, because right now. If you are not getting 4 man sacrifices in rank 1-2, you black pip when balancing is expecting killers to only make 2 kills.
In conclusion the game right now is a looping simulator and no longer an asymmetrical game, and I would like to see it become an asymmetrical game again. Balanced Landing isn't the problem, sure it made some infinite loops, but infinite loops wasn't the problem. The problem is that Survivors can so easily loop killers in the time other survivors complete 5 gens without engaging in any kind of mind game (which it only takes 4 minutes to complete 5 gens).
Dude you need to put this in it's own discussion, maybe in FeedBack. There are alot of good points here.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
To be fair, you should just let them go if they run to these loops. Catch them away from the loop. While they need to be fixed, yes, at the same time you should know to just let them go because taking that chase is a loss.
Oh yes, just let them go. Then they go back every time. It's a map issue not a Killer issue.

I don't mind it but it's stupid that legion has so many restrictions to begin with for his power.
Oni is far faster , lethal, last longer and doesn't lose his power from a miss, so why is legion, the killer with a non lethal power, the one with so many restrictions?
Exactly this. Legion can't even down someone with there power. Why are they the ones with all the crippling negatives?
-
@ad19970 said:
Personally I think having it deactivate when missing an attack is good. Otherwise you can just spam his attack and that doesn't really take skill. I'd rather see him buffed in other ways.
I think the buffs he is getting in the upcoming patch are good, but they are sadly overshadowed by the nerfs he is receiving simultaniously.
agreed on the buffs being outweighted by the nerfs. They need so much more... honestly a full on rework and a removal of Deep Wound from there power.

@Nobsyde said:
As a Legion big fan and player, I disagree.
The hit miss penalty is basically the only counter play to their power, plus it rewards skilled player able to chain hits without getting juked.
And I speak as a console player, where hitting is much more difficult!
You might say this, but it's too much punishment for something so easy to do.
-
and update to @AhoyWolf 's idea, in answer to some questions about there rework.
Sorry for not telling these sooner. :)
1) Yes they will, but it will only work on healthy Survivors. (To keep it balanced)
2) DWs last? If you mean how long it takes to put a Survivor into the dying state it will be like tier 2 BT so 15 seconds.
3) Yes! I have quite a few!
- All pins will now apply on the first hit while in FF.
- The Legion Pin will now apply exhausted status effect for 60 seconds.
- Joey's Mix Tape decresed to 0.3 seconds from 0.4. (Since their cooldown will be shorter)
- Cold Dirt will now increase the movement speed while in FF by 10%.
- Frank's Mix Tape will now let you see scratch marks while in FF.
- Fuming Mix Tape will increase your movement speed in FF by 30% but it will decrese the duration of FF by 3 seconds.
Every other addon will stay the same.

Survivor is boring and tedious, and even when I'm killed I just look at the screen and move to the next one. It feels like my brain is just turned off and I don't have to do anything really smart.
Killer feels the opposite, having to be EVERYWHERE AT ONCE, managing chases, getting downs, Time management city. That's a different kinda stress right there, made worse by if Survivors bring the right things the game can be over quicker than the queues for the match.
Oh and Devs not buffing lower tier Killers (LEGION) into viability so you see more than Spirit, Freddy and Billy at higher ranks.

@FancyMrB said:
People DC because they are poor sports. Period.
Most people know what can happen in a match (camping, tunneling, hex blown early, swf gen rush or sabo, bad map, etc) and they decide to DC because its not going their way.
I have seen Survivors DC on their first down, their first hook, etc... and then cry camper/ tunneler.
I have also seen Killers DC as soon as their Ruin blows, too many gens pop in succession, or if the exit gates are opened.
The problem isn't camping and tunneling, the problem is people's mind set when it comes to this game. Sometimes you will have good matches, and sometimes it will be bad. Just move on and try to have fun.
Yes, camping and tunneling can be abused (like everything else) but its a strategy and you cannot punish for it. More so, a lot of people call camping and tunneling for everything and don't take into consideration everything else going on.
If I see scratch marks around a hooked survivor you bet I am staying in the area to flush them out! Call me a camper all you want but I am not going to play dumb so egos can be protected.
Exactly this.

@UlvenDagoth some survivors are nonsense i have to agree.
But in the Spirit case, it's not because of the game situation. It's because of Spirit.
Almost every survivor - watch Twitch streamers if you don't believe me as you seem to got a killer advice - wanna DC when spirit pops because there is nothing to do. Not because of the player skill, but the broken character. This will not change after the update... Trust me.
I have no doubt about the satisfaction of playing it. But think about playing against.
Any kind of promoting DCs is bannable. I've played a good bit of Survivor now, and you wanna know what I do when I face Spirit? Play the game anyway. That's it. I play the game. DC'ing cause you think it's "OP" or whatever is bannable and will be punished soon. In a PVE game? Sure. PVP? you don't get to pick what you "Deal With". I don't care how many people are on the "DC TO SPIRIT CAUSE NO COUNTERPLLLLAAAYYY" bandwagon, I will never DC cause of that or any other reason I have control over.

Yea only reason I did that was because I knew they were going to stand on the hatch til I showed up just to jump in. They were on the hatch when it opened and yet I still was able to run up to the hatch and close it. It's the reason I don't even chase survivors to the exit gates anymore. I already know what's going to happen. In addition to that was the numerous body blocking from their teammates. What you didn't see is the countless other games I play where the gates are open yet no one leaves til there's like 10 seconds left on the End Game Collapse.
I also didn't even care once I saw what map it was when I was The Doctor. I can't stand multi-level maps so I just put in minimal effort. Once the gates are open I find a wall and look at the ceiling. As mentioned above Survivors wait til the last minute to leave. That includes them leaving the exit gate to come and find me so they can try to teabag or initiate a chase. So by my back being turned they can see I'm not paying them any mind and maybe they'll leave quicker so we can all move on to the next game.
i mean, Hawkins is one of the most Killer sided maps...
-
That made me chuckle.
-
and now an idea from @ba_tetsuo !
Here's a set of changes I've been asking for since the original nerfs:
Since Legion is all about the rush of stabbing multiple people, while in FF give him a stacking MS bonus for each survivor hit. This bonus would be lost at the end of FF.
The MS bonus would apply to vaulting pallets and windows as well. Something like a + 0.1 or + 0.2 bonus per survivor hit.
Yea, 5.4/6/8 looks like a lot, but when you consider the amount of time each survivor has to run while you're going after the first 1 or 2, it still gives them plenty of time to get away.
Second, no one wants to look at the ground for 4 seconds while they're fatigued, so I suggest a 1.3 second stun at the end. When you math speeds out for how far you can travel while fatigued vs how far survivors can get, a 1.3 second stun gives the exact same numbers as a 4 second slow down.
I think these two changes would go a long way towards making legion a realistic threat again, without having to deal with the exploits from before.
-
@MaeRohZ said:
@AhoyWolf yeah, a thing like this.
Just some informations for the survivors, in any way whatsoever.
@PigNRun I can understand your point of view. But tell me more.
What do you call the most braindead mechanic in the game ? Rushing gens ? You can counter this with pressure and slowing down perks.
A frustrating killer who doesn't give any info, pushing survivors to disconnect at sight ? No, it's not a counter, it's a shame for the balance of the game.
People DC cause they don't want to play against Legion or Wraith. They DC cause they can with no punishment yet. I had one person DC cause i HIT THEM

You got some interesting ideas friend. Full rework is gonna take years if that what's going to happen. I do think they can still save them but, they should listen when we are suggesting changes.
They keep trying to change them by their way they want. Issues here is that all they are doing only give them extra work at a later date. We try to save them those extra work.
Frenzy is a great power but devs is scared to make it too powerful due to old legion. Their increased speed from PTB is a good way to go. There is still some point to fix to make them good.
Add-ons changes
- Frank's Mix Tape : This add-ons is currently the worst add-on with Stab Wound Study. The goal of this add-on is to make legion like old basekit legion. I like the idea but there is two issue here. 1). you have to hit 5 times to down someone (1 for DW effect and 4 to down) 2). Fatigue and cooldown take 24s each time to reload (4x24s = 96s to down someone) it's not viable at all.
My idea to fix it is to reduce the hits required by 2 which make 3 hit to down (1 for DW effect and two down) These change make so he take 48s it's better but still bad anyway. As a rework he could be a movement speed increased during frenzy by 0,2 m/s (5%).
- Stab Wound Study : The add-ons could be great but current legion have no use to it for many reasons.
First reason is due to DW effect being too long (30s currently). Second reason is due to the timer not depleting in terror radius and while mending. So how to fix it ? i suggest first to reduce the deep wound timer to 15s and make so the add-on reduce the timer by 5s which make a total of 10s.
- Fuming Mix Tape : Many see that add-on being bad when he is not. The current Frenzy is what make it seem a weak add-on. I want devs to keep it but fix the various aspect of the frenzy i will explain further below.
- Susie Mix Tape/Never-Sleep Pills/Friendship Bracelet : Those add-ons is for me except FMT and SWS the worse legion can have. Iridescent Button is a better version of those.
Simply revert the old version (Increased Movement Speed during Frenzy).
Feral Frenzy changes
- Reduce the Fatigue back to 3s from 4s
- Revert old legion movement speed to 5,28 m/s from 5,2 m/s.
- Remove the Basic Attack penalty (power gauge draining after a basic attack)(This penalty reduce the gauge by 50% each hit) as legion is non-lethal by default he make no sense having this.
- Make so the cooldown recharge start with in fatigue like nurse (This will make the cooldown to 20s as intended instead of 24s).
Note: As mentioned above Fuming Mix Tape is bad because of the cooldown and the fatigue and also maybe the movement speed on some maps. With the reduced fatigue and faster movement speed he will allow you to be aggresive on gens and could work very good with a gen protector build.
Deep wounds changes
- Reduce the timer to 15s from 30s.
- While affected by Deep Wounds status effect survivors can't repair gens / do sabotage. (stall potential like doctor madness)
- Deep Wound timer don't go down while being at killer proximity (32m) , in chase , in terror radius and while mending.
- Deep Wound mending have now skill check. Missing a skill check reduce the timer by 5s.
Note: The proximity radius is there to prevent any exploit (moonwalk , no terror radius). As a placeholder while a better solution is found to make DW more threatening without exploit.
Note 2: As explained there's two add-ons that affect deep wound timer (Frank's mix Tape and Stab Wound Study). Like explained SWS should reduce the timer by 5s as for FMT he is supposed to down in two hits make it so he reduce the timer by 5s per hit. If FMT is used alone he should reduce the timer by 7,5s (still down in two hits).
QoL changes
- Discordance : Tier 1 highlight the generator for 12s / Tier 3 highlight the generator for 8s.
Thank you for your idea! I'll have to read through it for some feedback on it!

Yeah, and from what i could tell watching, you are rank 12 and on console. That alone makes it where the advice you could give me wouldn't apply as I am higher ranked and am on PC. I also saw you do well as Wraith, only to let the last survivor bleed out basically till EGC killed them... watching them and following them and ringing the bell. So, basically being Toxic. Then you only got one kill on HAWKINS as Doc and that was by face camping during EGC... and then you went offline after going to a corner and staring at the ceiling. So, I don't think i'll be listening to your advice.

Personally, I don't think BHVR goes 100% for this game simply because it has no competition. As you said, there is no competition that's worth their weight besides maybe Identity V, but since that's a Phone exclusive, I don't see it as competition. They know we'll always come back because it's so unique, so they don't give it 100% because they know people will always stay.
it's why I hope Last Year's steam release makes it very successful, so BHVR has competition and they can hopefully start listening too the community more. I want both games too be the best they can be, but BHVR IMO has gotten lazy and are happy with the bare minimum instead of going all out.
You got a good point there.

It was super easy with Trapper, Grasp/Agi. Like.... don't worry about it.

I think they need to work on balance, buff up the lower tier Killers so you even see them in Red Ranks (or purple) and work on bug fixes. Am I just gonna trash the Devs about it? No. But I do wish they would let us know they are listening.

Also, the answer to your question is basically what Peanits said. Hit all you can, then go after the last you hit, even if the first ones you hit will be done minding by the time you get to the next guy.

Fatigue speed is not being changed, just the speed while Feral Frenzy is active.
The buffs that Legion is getting in no way makes up for the nerfs that they are getting, which includes alot of Perk Synergies. Please, you have to be thinking of something better for Legion right? They need a rework. You all know Deep Wound is what makes Feral Frenzy so hard to balance. Trade it for something better, like the "Mob mentality" idea in my thread that Mong suggested or something. Don't just leave them in a hole cause they got bad feedback when they came out.

"the killer cant just deactivate his TR and start the timer, he cant moonwalk to start it, he cant do anything to it - excluding Franks Mixtape."
There are several perks and add-ons that remove TR. Some killers can do it at will (Pig, Wraith, GF). So yea, killers could find ways to exploit this still.
And if the killer can't exploit it, then it's just a non-threat to the survivor. A literal joke of an effect that doesn't force them to do anything except look at another progress bar for a short time. My friends and I started to disrespect Legions by Mending the instant they hit us because it's such a joke. If they use their power to find someone else, we are done Mending before they even find someone else. If they get triggered and chase normally, well it's a normal chase at that point.
Again the problem is having a timer before you go into dying. The whole concept is flawed and needs to be ditched for something better.
No need to disrespect Legions, but I agree having a Killer give you Deep wound as there power is the worst. It's either useless or broken. Legion needs something else on there Feral Frenzy or just a rework in general.

I am referring to his powers, not tunneling or camping which is universal. Dream snares screw chases, dream pallets ultimately are devastating to a normal chase because you waste time dropping the pallet when most of the time it will end up being fake.
And my god, he did not need the ability to teleport to generators. There are so many things wrong with that.
Oh no, an 8 second teleport that gives all the warning in the world it's being used, what ever will we do?
Freddy is manageable once you learn how to use him and don't DC every match against him cause you "Don't want to deal with it."

So basically he should just be an M1 killer with a useless power like Legion is right now? Please see yourself out, sir.
*Cries in Legion main*
But really alot of lower Tier Killers need to be buffed so they will get used at higher ranks.
I don't give a darn what the stats say, even Peanits said to not draw conclusions from them. On top of that anything from 51% to 74% is 2 kills and that depips you at Red Ranks.

Pennywise is a god? How was a god defeated by a handful of mere mortals? Pennywise may be an ancient, eldritch being, but I'd hesitate to call him a god if he can taste defeat at the hands of normal humans.
The Entity could destroy all of its victims if it wanted to, and all efforts to challenge the Entity's power have ended in abject failure.
It's cause he let himself have that weakness. It's all very weird but if you read the book it explains it more.
