I feel like "high MMR" is quite a myth.
Cameback to the game a week ago. Purchased Artist and look my first game:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/H5OBX4RF5XY0/xd3.png
I thought the MMR was depending on the killer. Did they change that?
If you reach the highest MMR Level on One Killer, it automatically puts you MMR on every other Killer higher.

In an ideal situation (as killer) you’ll get 25k to 30k BP, with BBQ and a Streamers or pudding offering should total to somewhere in the 75k-100k range. Basically means around 40 matches played minimum to have one killer at P3 level 50. Not accounting for bad matches, matches without bp offerings, matches where you don’t get all BBQ stacks, etc.
But Killer takes more bp then Survivor.
Also, taking away a Killers Perks is way worse then Survivor. Since you can play any Survivor you want. But if ou aint got no BBQ on the Prestiged Killer. It isn't even worth playing them till you get it.
And oh Boy, you can go a whole P1 Level 1 to P1 Level 50 without a sight on BBQ.

Old Matchmaking.
Back then we might have had Rainbow Rank Lobbys. It was chaotic. It was frustrating. But it was also funny as hell.
No Full Meta Builds every Game. No Genrush every Game. Not the same Killers every Game. And not so much sweating.
Stupid plays on both Sides. Adrenaline pumping Games. Camping, High Skill and Baby Killers.
There was so much variety. So many different Games. So many different Playstyles.
It might have been Overwhelming at first. But some of my best Memories are made back then. The Time when not everything was "the best Strategy against ..." But just dumb ######### that worked 1 in 100 Games.
That's the dbd i fell in Love with. Thats the DbD i want to play.

I hate high MMR at the Moment. Every Survivor runs Deadhard with some other second chance Perks.
And every Killer runs Slowdown or Endgame Perks like Noed and No Way Out.
I personally love not running any of that but i feel forced by the Game to do so as i keep ending up in higher MMR time and time again.
I do however think by taking away a lot of the second chance Perks, chases will be over faster and thus Gen Speeds won't be as fast (hopefully) so they can nerf Gen Slowdown Perks aswell.
Both just take away the Progress of the other and it feels demoralising to play against those Perks.
Maybe just outright taking the most used Perks from both sides and then Deadswitching them all for some time will bring in some variety again.

As long as we don't lose the Bloody Cosmetics I don't care. I just wanna be able to get Bloody Cosmetics on my favourite Characters.
Don't want another Legacy Situation.

Don't forget there are other sources for bloodpoints besides just the endgame points from trials. You also get significant points from daily missions, tome challenges and giveaways and events. In fact I think I might get more points on average from those other sources than I do from the trials. Like right now for instance we're getting double bloodpoints from the event alone and that's not even counting the missions and challenges, so most of your points this weekend are not from the base amounts you get in the trial.
Fair. But calculating those other things is gonna make it even harder :/
-
When it comes to deadhard: i hope they nerf it good. Not just something like an increased exhaustion timer.
SWF should get a higher MMR Rating and reward the Killer more BP at the end of a Match. No indicator at the beginning though as that would lead to Lobby dodging.
Buffing SoloQ would also be a great help in closing the gap between SWF and SoloQ. One idea is a Basekit Kindred without the Aura Reading on the Killer and some indicators on what a Survivor is currently doing.
Things like a Macro should be looked at by giving it a Cooldown that doesn't last too long though.
Maybe they can Overhaul the whole Escape Gate thing. In wich you can't just stand there and BM the Killer without the Killer having a chance to get you. That could mess with some Playstyles though so ... Maybe thats a stupid idea.
Thats all i can say about the topic right now. I will have to add that there are surely some things they need to change for Killer aswell. But that is not the topic right now so no suggestions on that.
-
So to get a Survivor from 1 to 50 its about 1.4 Million Bp.
That 3 times means around 4.2 Million Bp to get them to P2 Level 50.
If the Survivor was not Leveled up yet.
Now we only need to collect some data to see how many Bloodpoints you get per Trial and how long the Average Trial goes to know how many Trials you need and how much time you need to play to get enough Bloodpoints.
Personally i've been playing Killer to get enough Bp to Level my Survivors. Its way more frustrating but at least you get some good Bp in an alright amount of time.
-
Well, nerfing a few Second chance Perks and then also Gen Defense Perks would be great. But then also nerfing Gen increased Speed Perks and Killers that are to Strong.
I think just increasing the recharge time on some Killers and maybe adding 0.5 second Fatigue to both Nurse and Blight would actually do wonders i think.
-
The Problem is: if you remove the I-Frames, you can still get hit even when using Deadhard wich will make the Perk seem useless to many Players while still having the annoying Part of Distance that can Frustrate Killers so much.
But if you take away the distance, then Survivors will complain that it is useless now and Killers will still have to wait out Deadhard wich is also annoying.
Maybe something like: keep the distance but after using it you cant use any pallets or Windows for X Amount of time.
Or: You get invincebility for like 1 second, and if the Killer Hits you in that time frame you will not get hit and make a small dash forward. (Maybe like half the current deadhard distance) and if the Killer doesnt hit you, you get a 20 second Cooldown before using it again.
Or Maybe put both effects together:
After pressing the active ability Button (E) you dont take any damage for X Seconds. But lose the Ability to use Windows or Pallets for X seconds. If the Killet Hits you during this time frame, you will ignore the damage, make a small dash forward and get the exhausted Status Effect for 60 seconds. If the Killer does not Hit you, you have a 20 second Cooldown before you can use it again.

Im trying to P3 all Killers and Survivors who im using the Perks from mostly.
Luckily i already have Quentin P3 for Pharmacy so the most important One is save :3

@Tiufal said:
Sprint Burst is DH level, but killers will only understand that after DH is gone, and start the same outcry as now. Its a given.
Its not. Sprintburst can help you in a chase at the beginning. While Deadhard can extend the chase after it should have been over.
At least when it comes to frustration Deadhard is worse. And making this Game less frustrating is the best they can do.

I hate the idea of Deathslinger haveing an ever smaller TR. Together with Monitor its already small, he doesnt need a smaller One.

Good Stuff

@OldHunterLight said:
Or what if, bhvr instead of adding bandaid perks fixed those perks that have issues?
thats what im talking about. I dont want DH nerfed into the ground. Just tweaked a bit.
-
No second chances:
Upon hitting a Survivor with your Weapon, you apply the exhausted Status effect for 5/7/10 seconds.
like that ?
Im gonna be honest, if a Perk needs to be made to counter another Perk, then the Perk itself is badly designed. But who am i talking to. I think everyone knows how annoying Dead Hard is. We've seen it a Million times on the Forums already.
-
because i need kindred to know whats going on in SoloQ.
I take BT because i would be a hypocrit for saying i hate People unhooking me without BT
I take Windows because i have terrible Map Awareness
And then there is this One Perk Slot that is reserved for any Perk i need for a Challenge.
I like to run No Perk though. Its just so nice to escape a Game without the help of any Perk but just your raw skill.
-
funnily enough. I've only been able to play against one single Legion so far and he was so bad that he didnt even use Frenzy at all.
And i've played a few Hours of Legion and i think they're perfect. In any way Possible perfect. If they nerf them now, im probably gonna uninstall DbD for good. The changes announcement was actually the thing tat got me back into the Game in the first place.
Playing today was i think the most fun i ever had in DbD as a Killer. I played for 4 Hours straight and only stopped because i reached the Bloodpoint cap and wanted to spend my Points. And i stopped playing after that cause i wanted to stopp on a good Note :D
-
ironically, i have been playing for 2 hours yesterday and for another 2 hours today. And didnt go against a single Legion. Almost the entire Killer rooster but not Legion xD. Also, i hate going against new Ghostface, his Chase Music sounds so bad in my Opinion.
Dont know what it sounded like on the ptb cause i only played Legion there. But it sounds awful
-
HyperX Cloud Alpha S. Really good Noise Cancelling. cant hear that yet engine of a Laptop im using

also you get more bp per hit wich is just a nice Bonus :3

I'm honestly not sure where that's a problem. As noted, Freddy's Daily is literally just "hit the survivor" while the majority are otherwise "hit survivors using your power". That's exactly what you're doing with a shred, fully charged or not.
For me its simply the fact that i dont get the dailys even when i actively try them. I play an entire Match and in the end get 1/5 Wich is stupid i think.
Instead they could just change it to be shred downs and everyone is happy :3
-
Hell yes. A Gamemode i can play when i just want to try out things or want to practice a Killer. That would be awesome :D
-
I think Dailys should be able to be finished without going out of your Way to get them. But by playing the Killer like intendet. Ghostfaces's marking, Legions stabbing, Nurses tp and Hit, same for Hag. etc.
but for Demos daily i feel you need to go out of your way too much
-
@Valik said:
If it was just using shred attacks in general, it would be too simple - not even a challenge, really. Hardly even something to try with.
If it was using the portals, it would be obtuse.
Lowering it to 3-4 fully charged shreds would be more than enough of a change, though... as ColonGlock said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2923651#Comment_2923651
the thing is, there is far easier dailys compared to this One. Like the Legion Challenge for example. Or Freddys.

@Mat_Sella said:
Who is fully charging their shred, do you want them to know what you're doing so they dodge it?
That daily is garbage.
agreed

But in all seriousness. DbD is a Horror Game. And i think a big Part of Horror Fans are Teens. I myself started playing in my Teens. And Teens are horny all the time.
But i guess most of it is actually just ironic.

April 2019 was my first achievement. But i played it a bit on my Brothers PC before i had one.

I would expect these killers to have an high MMR when they are trying to get away from the frustration.
im pretty sure that is the reason. High MMR is just frustrating and boring. While lower MMR are more chill and fun overall.
-
Legion. I always saw so much potential in this Killer. Also i like the Lore. The Friend Group thing is really cool aswell. And they have amazing Cosmetics.
But honestly, i like every Killer that can go fast except for Spirit. I like to see the Survivor.
-
i want a Perk that gives you 50% Bonus BP at the end of the Game for every free Perkslot.
So a Maximum of 150% or even 200% if you use WGLF
-
I think im on your Part with the iframes thing. If it was just distance, you would have scenarios where you try to use it but still go down like back in the Day. One reason Deadhard has gained so much Popularity is because they made it more Survivor Sided to use it. If it was IFrames however, it would actually need Skill and Gameawarness to use it and rewards you for a good Play.
Though i would say you should gain a little bit of distance while doing so because the animation would probably look weird and because of the time of the basic attack Cooldown.
I 100% disagree with taking the IFrames and just giving it more distance.
But just decreasing the Distance you gain alone (not completly) would be the best change i think.
-
Create a Strenght Rating to Perks and Addons.
Create a Different Gamemode in wich you are paired with People based on what you have equipped (Based on the Overall Strenght)
Every Free Perkslot gives 50% more Bonus Bp in all categorys at the end of the Game.
Create a System that detects cheaters, but instead of banning them, they can only be paired with other cheaters. May the best Cheater win (The one who pays more)
Create a Personal Rating System. So you can give People a rating on how fair and fun you thought the Players are. Based on this System. People have a higher chance to get paired with People closer to their Rating.
So sweaty or toxic players have a higher chance to go against each other and leave Casual Players like me alone.
-
But isnt their already an Addon that shows Survivors mending even without it having to be from Frenzy ?
Stab Wounds is just a worse Version of it. And its Purple.
-
I once had the idea of a Gardener or Plant based Killer with Seeds as his Power. But another Person on the Forums was faster and even made designs for them in an earlier Post.
Dont really know where it is but the Main idea is that a Killer has Seeds that can be used in different ways.
-
As a Killer i like to give Hatch to good Survivors (or cute Baby Survivors) as long as they arent toxic in a annoying Way.
-
Oh wait. I also have a Killer Perks

i care about "high" level plays cause at a certain point your mmr will go too much high for how many wins you get, and personally i don't want to be FORCED to play the same 2 killers (which have a gameplay that i personally don't like) in order to have a decent match (loosing on purpose is out of question cause no one will find fun facing a killer that... won't kill). if you aren't at "high" levels even a trapper without traps is viable. i don't ask for being able to 4k everytime, i ask for fair and chill matches with the possibility to do a good amount of points instead of seeing 5 gens popping for doing 3 chases... a pity that i'm constantly put aganist people who bring broken stuff everytime (brand new part with commodious toolboxes, styptic agent with purple medkits, etc etc), paired with meta perks and being in a full swf... this is everything except funny...
I mean. I can't help you then. Hope you can still find some fun in new Legion. And if not, there is still other Killers to play with.

Bro there's killers on this forum that think bodyblocking is bannable and against the rules, there are also survivors who think tunneling / camping is against the rules.
If you genuinely don't think this system will be abused by pretty much every other person than you have way too much faith in this community.
Maybe you're right. Its just, no matter wich Side i play, i wouldnt Downvote the Other Player for simplay playing well. I just hoped other People would think the same and i would only go against Likeminded People.
People who dont care about wins but fun. And dont want the other Side to suffer for it.

Ahh yes, and when people start downvoting each other for play styles it'll be a system as useless as the current MMR one.
What kind of People would Downvote you for just playing the Killer correctly ? People that are Probably salty in Endgame Chat and get downvoted themselves. Thus, staying at a More Toxic MM Range then you. Maybe there will be People like that, But if you Play Well and Nice you will be away from them fast since you wont be matched against them

I actually think the best idea is to introduce a Vote System into DbD that lets you choose how the Player behaved in the Match and Chat. And depending on your Score you're going to go against people Similar to your Score. Basically what they said in the Latest Survey.
That way Toxic Players stay among themselves and the Normal or Nice People dont have to face so many Toxic Players.
I would rather wait double the Time to have a Match against Nice Survivors. Then a few seconds to go against clicky clicky Deadhard T-Bag

@Peanits said:
At this point, a full blown rework (as in an entirely new power) is very unlikely for The Legion. I'll never say never, of course, but the chances are slim.
Legion's in an interesting spot where in spite of not being the strongest, they're very popular. All these years later and they're still consistently played more than a lot of other Killers. If so many people are playing them even though they're leaning towards the weaker side, that's a good indicator that a lot of people like the way they work as is (even if they'd appreciate some buffs).
We're at a point now where we have 27 Killers in the game. If one of those 27 Killers isn't for you, that's totally okay, there's still 26 others to choose from. But we're not exactly looking to radically change a Killer that a lot of people like just to make it appealing to folks who aren't a fan. To use the example you gave, changing their ability to allow them to disguise may make them more fun to you, but it would destroy a lot of people's favourite Killer.
A full on rework is something we'd save for extreme circumstances, where either the power is either very unpopular or creates a major gameplay issue (old Legion, for instance).
Yeah. Changing them now would ruin my favourite Killer for sure. Instead. You Guys can keep that idea and try using it for a new Killer. So everybody is happy. :3
