Yep can confirm after having Two solo games that ended in about 3 minutes killers seem to be going all out right now

Saturday is usually when most killer tend to play sweaty from my experience. And I get that some survivors squads play real sweaty as well. I gone up against them. But it get annoying to lose as survivors no stop since it's not really my fault, I have to depend on random people. It's that I'm getting placed with low rank unexperienced users, it's the wave of RE fans who should not be placed with people of my level. They really need to fix their match making it's bad for solo survivors.

  • No this is a person who plays solo survivor for the most part. I assume the reason why solo survivor is horrible now is it's because a bunch of RE players ranked up quickly. The ranks are the most muddled I seen, I'm getting ranked up with greens and even lower we been getting placed vs rank 1 sweaty killers. And of course they go down in 5 seconds. No kidding I lost all my matches today as a survivor. It's been bad for solos out there lately.

  • I have to agree solo survivor is in the worst state that I ever seen since I started playing this game. Not only that survivors perk keep getting nerfed. And some killer only users want even weak perks nerfed it's getting silly what some individuals are saying.

I have no idea. What is worse the people who disconnect aren't even banned from the end game chat. They hang out to gloat on and off about it. It is ridiculous.

Because a lot of people are sufferings from disconnecting issues on consoles. It would be unfair to those on consoles to get the temp penalty.

So as someone who is new to this game, I am noticing a few things about killers. They really all play like they will honestly become Esports famous from slugging and camping, and since I noticed this games matchmaking is hot garbage, new players really have no chance.

A few things that I honestly think could benefit this game are to pause a hook's damage if a killer camps you on said hook. I understand that survivors could camp the hook as well luring the killer closer to pause the kill, but that also leaves you open to being killed yourselves.

Damage? It makes no sense in this game. 1 hit and you are either crawling, or slowed. I can see possibly being hooked once and then being slow, or being hit 2-3 times and being slowed. But 1? What is that? Also, do killers inherently move faster? or does it just seem as such?

I have to agree some killers do really play sweaty. But once you get to a higher level some survivors squads do play really sweaty as well. But I don't think it time should pause when a killer is camping. maybe time should go slower if a killer is camping, if the survivors wants it to.

  • If you want a list here you go

    Twins

    Spirit

    Wraith

    Hag

    Huntress

    Legion

  • Expect to lose majority of your games if you are in red ranks. And you really need to hope that survivors don't know how to loop high wall tiles. Or that you get bad horrible maps. Since he is the most map dependent killer in this game.

You can counter it as any killer. I just told you how. Good day.

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Yes please stop feeding this. Because at this point I think this is just ๐Ÿ”—๐Ÿก. Imagine if people were saying nerf ruin BBQ ๐Ÿ˜‚ this is is the same thing just that it's a survivor perk.

I play on a large television that's about six feet from where I sit. If I jack the game up loud enough to hear subtle giveaways then everything else will blow my speakers. The quality of the audio in this game is, to me, fantastic, but no one should be required to rely on headphones in order to catch things that can completely change the outcome of their match.

That said, remember that the game has a dedicated headphone setting, some people may have it on or off when they shouldn't.

Yeah I have loud speakers on my computer. But I don't wanna have it loud as can be, to were I can't hear anything else outside of the room I'm playing in. This is the only game were noise actually does give you an advantage. I have noticed while playing killer it is better to use headsets since you can hear more noise that you could not without headsets.

  • Nothing, if anything it's a bad survivor perk that has no use honesty. I had used on me a couple of times, but it just stuns you and that's it. I kicked the gen and move on looking for survivors. And regardless I already am seeing killers use the same perks ruin with undying or pop. So I don't think eruption gained traction and replaced ruin, even though I think it could have some potential.

We should give more people the benefit of the doubt on here, just because people have interesting opinions doesn't have to mean they are trying to bait

But I really don't get behind his reasoning on that one

He just posted about this yesterday, and he was trying to say this perk had the same power as pre-nerfed DS. I mean this just sounds to what in my opinion I think it is. Do you really think this an OP perk that has the potential to make people untouchable.

  • ๐Ÿ”—๐Ÿก๐Ÿก I hope that is his point...

  • @PNgamer said:

no this perk is not fine...no one can tell me that this perk is fine atm....and there is a reason why so many ppl playing with this perk atm. Sry

Prove thyself is the true OP perk that needs a nerf, not spine chill. The old DS was in issue since the killer could not pick you up for 1 minute if you were not being tunneled. I don't know what your point is, if you pass and a survivors is hiding then go look for another person. If you suspect someone has spine chill then look sideways ๐Ÿ” when walking up to the gen. Plus when I played killer I had survivors walk up to my face looking sideways, and I assume it's because their spine chill activated and were looking for the killer. I really don't know what you think is game breaking about the perk.

  • You just posted about this yesterday. I hope you are just looking to bait people ๐Ÿก. Just look sideways, if you were advocating for a necessary nerf for a real OP perk I would have your back 100%, such as prove thyself. But spine chill ๐Ÿคฃ the perk is fine man.

  • I rarely seen anyone do that. It's just super rare, I doubt it happened three times in a row either way.

  • you don't have to stay in lobbies if you they equip keys... You can choose to leave you know that right?

If I load in to a lobby as a killer, and I see they have keys you know what I do? I just press the leave button.

This is unacceptable. You shouldn't be winning that much!

Now Nemesis is new, you have to learn him. You shouldn't be getting a 4K all the time upon release. He also has intense map pressure, he has 2 helpers on the map giving you info too. He definitely needs no buffs, maybe some nerfs!!

For some people only getting 4k is fun ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ anything less is by definition not fun. Remember people got have their 100+ win streak ๐Ÿ˜‚.

  • Most survivors I get paired up in solo rarely perform as good as the killer, in red ranks. Unless the killer is not good or a weak killer, most solos we will have about a equal or harder time.

  • I'm not even kidding when I say but I gotten 4k with him every match I played so far since his live release. I'm at red ranks at killer. I think he can handle himself in red ranks. He arguable has the best map pressure since his zombies can be useful to get people of gens, I seen it happen. And I have to disagree with the sprint burst it's what makes it fair for survivors, if not it would be to powerful, since his cooldown for the tentacle is quick.

Turning around to counter a perk you dont know people have is pretty stupid. You could miss out on some things because you turned around, like if they see you in the distance and start walking away, you wont see them do that if you turn around

It's not an OP perk \O_o/ as some people want to make it seem now. Would you rather people have spine chill or prove thyself. I know which one I would choose if I was playing killer. And if you assume they have the perk, then just go find someone else if they are hidden simple as that.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

People said the same about Oppression and it didn't happen. The meta will still be Ruin/Pop/Corrupt.

Because oppression is horrible perk. No one runs it, it has long of a cooldown and it only does base regression. Sure ruin will always be the king of regression. But eruption with surge or pop could be an alternative. And I was saying the same thing since I used the PTB if eruption gets a cooldown buff which it did to 30 seconds ( it was 90 seconds on PTB) too long, the perk would have potential. And it did, I thought it was going to be 60 seconds but they impressed me by making a 30 second cooldown so it can have potential the second best alternative to ruin.

  • It's not great because you are only getting 10 seconds of value, but that is just my view.

  • DS. I been saved way more times by DS, than unbreakable. There has been a couple of times were I'm like I wish I had unbreakable, but those times are rare. On the other hand there has been a lot more times were DS has gotten me wins, and I been tunneled a lot more compared to slugged.

  • And that gentlemen and ladies is why I don't like facing huntresses.

  • @Shroompy said:

Spine Chill's effect while quite strong but not OP, is kind of unhealthy for the game. It hard counters stealth killers, and stealth perks for killers. I honestly think the effect should only apply if you're in the killers terror radius.

As for Nemesis. I've played him A LOT on PTB and for a good bit of hours yesterday, he's a pretty decent killer and FAR from the worst. Yes it may take 3 hits to down a survivor how ever he recovers from a hit fairly quickly and moves a bit faster than your normal M1. He also is the only killer who can break a pallet and move at the same time, which saves quite a bit of time. Also you need to know how to aim well, its quite finicky but once you learn its gimmicks its quite easy to get hits consistently. A survivor being contaminated is actually very dangerous for them since they remove one of their health states that they can only regenerate 4 times, and thats shared between all survivors. (They also risk running into a Zombie while in chase, while not reliable its still something that can happen)

(Also Trickster is not the weakest killer in the game)

Just look the other way ๐Ÿ” simple. I had people run into and I know for a fact it's because they had spine chill, and I also done that to.

  • @PNgamer said:

what do you think about spinechill and nemesis ?

Spine chill is a simple perk that just gives you info. And sometimes when I'm playing killer I walked up to survivors who are crutching looking in front of them, and I know for a fact they have spine chill cause I have a heartbeat ๐Ÿคฃ and I whack em. But I also have run into the killer at times and I use spine chill because it activates. I don't know why you think it's OP when DS was the only OP perk for survivors and that got fixed. If any survivor perk needs a nerf it should be prove thyself, there should not a be a perk that increases gens speed in the game in my view. Now nemesis he is a balanced killer, can be powerful but can be countered.

Eu acredito que se vocรช fizer isso para ser 4.6 seria de grande ajuda.

Yes him being 4.6 would help, but I think he could become to powerful being 4.6.

  • @miketheratguy said:

I love the map and am looking forward to getting it back despite how much some people are insisting that I and the other people who enjoy it shouldn't be allowed to have it.

Remember if they can't have fun you can't... ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • I think he is a fair and balance killer. He can be real good, but he can be somewhat easy to counter in 3 stage of his tentacles. He is a slow paced killer if I'm being honest, relatively weak at the beginning but gains strength in his second phase.

  • @CrowVortex said:

So it went from 90 second cooldown to 30 seconds, increased the incapacitated duration and also allowing all forms of attack to trigger it. I planned to combine it with Surge before the changes, now with similar cooldowns (Only 10 seconds difference) it seems like a pretty decent tool to use (On paper), especially in 3 gen scenarios.

It is combined with surge in a three gen it can be very strong. And eruption is the only perk in the game that incapacitates survivors. So if the survivors are working in a gen and it pops they can't do anything for 16 seconds.

  • Probably a bunch of RE new players who are struggling.

  • No he is a bit weaker than pyramid head. But not weak by any means. He is the second best indoor killer in my opinion. And he is 115% so he runs at the average speed.

  • This was on the PTB I thought nemesis was too tall, and we reported it. It was reportedly fixed on the patch notes released today. as quote "Fixed an issue that could prevent access to the stairs on Temple of Purgation".ย So I'm assuming this is what they meant.

I mean thats normal with most games and their updates, and it will happen with DBD too and not just because of its issues. But I still hope at least some people find fun in this game regardless

I'm pretty sure some will stay. But most will probably play it a couple days and not even touch it again. Even if you look at the trophy stats only 50% of players have gotten the easiest trophy which is getting 8k points in a match. One of my friends who used to play dbd came back today, and played for like hour... before he said the game is still boring for him.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I wondered if the Resident Evil Fans and old players interested in this DLC would make even a slightly noticable difference with the Playercount, it seems I have overly underestimated this.

Hopefully some new people find fun in this game and stay, despite its problems

Most of the new ones playing will leave within a week lol. When I came into this game I imagined I would be this unstoppable guy running around with survivors fearing me. But I quickly found out that is not how it works out ๐Ÿคฃ same thing happened for the silent hill update peaked around 80k and half of them left within a month. This game is it's basically you like it or not, based on what I seen. There is no middle ground.

If you sell a game or service for full price, with plenty of DLC and cosmetics, released in 2016 with promises of 60fps in 2018 then you better be prepared for people to ask where this 60fps is three years later.

I've played on my ex's PS4, it was atrocious. I've played on Switch, it's abysmal. I've seen my brother play on an Xbox One X, it's awful. These are capable of running Resident Evil Village better than Dead By Daylight. Even Cyberpunk ran better and that literally bricked hardware.

Edit: Also does this thread mean nothing to you?

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/URNTI2ICWIQO/image.png

๐Ÿคฃ What are you talking about I have a ps4 pro. And I happen to own cyberpunk and dbd on it as well. And you are right cyberpunk did run like trash on the ps4 pro. However dbd was not even close, I never suffered from any lag or stutter on dbd on my ps4 pro. And not as much since like I said things seem bigger online than in the real world. Just because you have 1000 people comment on a thread, which a lot of it is the same posting comments over and over again. Does not mean nothing since this has 100000s of active players. Like I said things seem bigger here online than they are in real life ๐Ÿ‘ป

  • Or have you maybe thought... I don't know. People are exaggerating? Or just because you see 100 people online comment that they suffer from lag, that does not mean everyone is. What if there is 10000s of players who may don't suffer from lag. I mean there 100000s of people who play on console, it may seem like it's a big issue online, but the vast people of people don't comment on this forum or twitter. I personally thinks it's a old hardware issue from the base ps4/xbox one, since people with the new consoles don't lag or the mid-upgrade consoles ps4 pro/xbox one X.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

You released a chapter with a good killer who's fun also. With good perk on both sides. And some small changes Franklin's and Demo which really weren't that big an impact and also buffed Lucky Break good. So devs after two weak chapters with bad everything. With this chapter at least according to the statistics pretty god job so far. And please keep it up for the Mimd-Chapter.

Wait I thought most console users suffered from lag?

  • @bibibib8 said:

Im really surprise to say this but this chapter release is one of the best in the last 2 or 3 year. No major bug for now and nemesis feel better compare to the ptb.

The only issue are the nerf they did specially for franklin demise but at least they made the nemesis perk playable compare to before

I guess you can't have fun... If other people are not happy \_/

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/257295/the-new-chapter-is-nearly-unplayable

This sounds like a YOU problem. I haven't suffered any lag whatsoever.

You going to make a lot of people angry... ๐Ÿคฃ

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Yep. People who see a Key in a Lobby did not equip Franklins, they just dodged the Lobby. It is just a Nerf nobody will care about in a few Days, but now it has to be the big drama.

I prefer this version of Franklins. I only see that Perk frequently when Survivors are able to obtain Event Items (what a surprise that Killers run Franklins exactly at this time..), so at least there is a higher chance to get this Event Item back now.

Right. Pluss what if they find a key in a chest, and they don't have franklins it won't matter there. So that means if they see someone equip a key just leave the lobby ๐Ÿ™„ not a big deal.

  • They messed it up XDD, or maybe the fix to consoles lag and stutters.

  • ๐Ÿ™„ Come on lets be honest you see keys what, 1 time out of 20 matches. It's not that big of a deal. Plus just leave the lobby if you a see survivor that puts a key in their hand just leave the lobby not a big deal. And plus what if a survivor finds a key in the game, and if you don't have franklins it really won't matter in that case๐Ÿ˜๏ธ

  • I combined eruption and surge during the PTB, and it worked pretty well since it's the only perk in the game that incapacitates survivors for 14 seconds so they can't tap the gen so it came in use when survivors were about to complete a gen, with the combination of surge it was a 14 percent regression. I'm definitely thinking of keeping the combination since it might be a good alternative to ruin, no longer depending on survivors not finding ruin in 10 seconds.

  • I kind of agree with the point not what they said... Killers are extremely reliant on perks. Survivors can win more often then not without perks. While killers are reliant on their perks. Because I can count many times were I played killer and ruin basically won me the match. Just earlier I was playing trapper, and they did 4 gens in like in 3 minutes but I had a three gen set up and my ruin basically carried me. Because they were almost done with one of the gens in the corner but ruin saved me. Because had I not had ruin I would lost 100% sure, so I would say I was carried by my perk. So it's not really hypocrisy it's more of a reality and it sucks for killers since they actually do have to depend on perks to win.

  • @CornHub said:

It's been months since they've been released, & many new strategies and builds have come along with them. Given all this time I think saying "the twins are bad" is just false information.

No never thought they were bad, or weak killers as I assume you mean. It's just the way most tryhard twin users play them, extreme slugging. Wanting to slug everyone from the get go. Which is why I think they are most boring killer to face, and one of the most annoying killers as well.

  • I think it since the perk is fair now, it should be usable twice. But it should also be.. so that the stun effect removes blood pools and scratch marks for 5 seconds. To give the perk it's true purpose of being a anti tunneling perk.
