I never experienced them either, but I've seen a lot of clips. We're the luck ones.

Yes, PC will typically have better frame rates. And stretched res is a choice for PC, but completely impossible for console.

At this point they most likely have looked into the issue. But I believe this has something to do with the old hardware on the base previous generation consoles the original ps4/xbox one. And if that is the case then most likely they can't really do nothing about it. Because as I said I have an pc that had 8gb of ram and I would experience the same thing lag, and low frame rates and freezing. That was until I bought another piece of 8gb ram and installed it make it a total of 16gb ram... and what you know I no longer had those issue on my old pc. Because again I played this game on the ps4 pro, not the base ps4 the mid-upgraded system and never sufferer from any lag/freezing issue. and my brother still plays it on the ps4 pro and he never suffers from lag.

  • Not everyone has stretched resolution, or better frame rates. And this to me seems like and previous generation hardware issue since it seems this is affecting base Xbox one, and the base ps4. Because I played on the ps4 pro and never experienced lag issues. And on my old PC which only had 8gb of ram, it would lag a lot as well.

For people who have main killers, or a couple, it's going to be miserable due to the sweatlord squads at high rank (unless your good with nurse or spirit).

I know people like to blow off streamers a lot but Scott jund made a video very recently about this and it's 100% correct.

I mean both sides can play real sweaty. But even nurse and spirit would lose 6 out 10 times vs players of average skills. Since there has been videos were top level nurses end losing to high level "competitive squads".

I'm on Xbox and I have Crossplay disabled.

I don't enjoy playing against people who have an unfair advantage over me.

I doubt people on PC have turned it off.

What do you mean unfair advantage?

Also it is possible to have cross play turned off as a steam user at because it's divided by specific platform I think, there is also window users we can't forget that. But during the day getting match is quick, at nigh however it takes way too long without cross play. But some people that I know do have cross platform off on PC, since according to them consoles on average play worse.

Yea alot of survivor with a small amount of killer to top it off interesting that you wouldn't place hag and trapper that high where would you place them on the list?

Because trapper is a killer that you can't really loop him in areas he has been around. Since you always have to assume if I jump over a window is there a trap there so I would put him at okay. Hag would be a rank lower then the doctor since hag is the queen of camping.

So this is my tier list for fun to play against killers will tell you how I came to this conclusion.

This list has been made by my choice of who I find fun and boring to play against, perks are not part of it this is just killers power alone and with any kind of add on.

I'm willing to explain any reasonings to you guys but please do not ruin this fun post with hate and salt.

I'm assuming you play survivor a lot because me and you almost got the same view in what is fun. Expect for for having the hag and trapper up there. But other than that you pretty much got it spot on for this list.

  • He was not weak pre-buff period it's just people did not know how to use him, but not at least like in his early days when he actually was weak. He is one of the most annoying killers to face vs now.

Honestly fair enough I feel like I'm the only one that plays him 😂

I have not seen one in weeks. I'm guessing he is probably the second least used killer at this point. Probably since he is the weakest killer for users that have less experience as playing killer. Too use him decently you got to have at least a couple of 100s of hours of experience as killer. Because he requires an extensive knowledge of killer vs decent loopers. And even then I would still argue he is still the weakest killer in the game vs decent loopers.

  • He probably will get buffed... In about one year. Or maybe not since trapper has not revived a significant buff in a long time.

  • Think about the swamp maps. That is probably what they mean something to similar to that I'm going to assume.😐️

I mean... it is really, really funny when you do this. I laugh every single time this occurs in my Twins games.

Which unfortunately occurs almost every one of my Twins games.

So Survivors, don’t do this. It is NOT safe to get into a locker against Victor, especially against a player that WON’T be silly enough to have Charlotte and Victor at opposite ends of the map from each other. Even if you manage to break free from the locker, Charlotte will now be really close by, and if she doesn’t get you, you’ll be dealing with Victor AGAIN in just 6 seconds.

Thankfully I have not gone vs the twins in weeks, and I'm happy about that. But the last I did not go into a locker, and it's actually a valuable strategy since I knew she would not be able to make it back in time, so I would say it depends if you know that she is far.

    So...

getting the vast majority of DBD’s player base to quit sounds like a financially sensible decision?

Do tell us more about your amazing insight into running a business...

That is what I'm telling this individual, I 100% understand why they balance around casuals. That is the majority of the base is casual, since this game has a somewhat of a low player retention. A lot of my friends only play this game with SWF, and never even touch it solo. It's basically a game you either like don't based on what I seen.

  • @woundcowboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2264080#Comment_2264080

Again, every game, competitive or not balances around skilled players. Why does skill only matter for killer? The community is in an uproar about killers like Nurse and Spirit, who are only good in skilled hands, yet have been nerfed, but survivor needs to be balanced for bad players? What?

I mean you do understand only 15% of player base have reached rank survivors 10 according to the data. And only 51% of the people who bought this game unlocked the easiest achievement which is to get more thank 8k points in this game. Which basically means half of the people bought this game most like played one match and died early and never touched the game again. In other words this means only about 25% to 30% of the player base would mostly like not be consider casual. So in other words about 70% of the player base would fall under casual. So can see what would make more sense for them to balance game around. Because most of the base are average joes, they most likely don't play this daily. Honestly based on my friends this game is either you like or not, I had a couple of my friends who tried it out and did not like it at all. And the ones that play it are casual most of the them at least. This game can't be competitive in it's nature, since it's asymmetrical every competitive game is usually on a balance playing field, this game by definition can never be competitive since survivors will have the upper hand since it's a 4v1. If you put equally skilled survivors vs an equally skilled killer 7 times out of 10 the the survivors will win, and not only that this game is to RNG based to be competitive. And the reason why killers get nerfed more, is because again most of the casual player base plays survivor, fun fact less then 10% of the base has reached rank 10 on killer based on the achievements on steam.

  • It depends on the playstyle. If it's one of those legions that use frenzy all the time even when you are injured, it can be annoying to mend many times. But I do play him once in while and use his frenzy can be a good ability for tracking purposes and thing like that so I get it, but it can still get annoying. But don't worry I think wraith is becoming more annoying than legion now, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people are feeling the same as me.

I understand that, right now I played a match vs Bubba who was very competitive (4K rank 1). For the record I am rank 12 (took a couple month break).

My issue is I want everyone to have an enjoyable game, hell I even use BPS as solo survivor if I suspect the killer has a hard time.

Also just had a match against an AFK wraith, flashlight blind and escaped via hatch. Matchmaking right now is either vs very good opposition or very bad opposition there is no middle ground...

Yes I'm noticing that with this MMR test when I play killer I'm getting either sweaty survivors, or just brown ranks survivors with no experience. Or when I'm playing survivor I'm getting sweaty killers, or killers that get 1 or 2 downs and end up losing. There is no in between.

  • I played her and she is strong. But I did not find it fun to play as her. While I'm not going to say she does not require skill, because every killer requires skill. She a very low learning skill level with her ability, which is why a lot of people don't like her. You just really need to be very attentive, and have good ear listing skills. Which is why a lot of spirits will just hit and phase and get you down since she relies on sounds a lot of the time.

  • Not a fan of going up against super sweaty killers or survivors. Especially every match maybe once in a blue moon, but simply no.

  • @SleepyWillo said:

is not that they communicate. its that they don't typically have a weak link (or if they do it's not a rank 20 new player placed with rank 1s).

IMHO the greatest advantage of swf is knowing you won't be left to die on first hook or get screwed by matchmaking.

sbmm has highlighted this to me. when it works, solo games are so much smoother and better! when it doesn't...

    Can anyone change my mind?

This is nothing new. But I will disagree about the so called greatest advantage. Because typically when I play with my friends if the killer is camping in end game, or had NOED. The hooked person usually just tells us to leave if we fell the killer might gets more downs to avoid throwing. Which honestly in solo if it's the end game and I'm hooked if the killer has NOED or something like that I usually will take my self out, since I seen so many games were survivors will throw just to get the person of the hook in the endgame and the killer ends up getting 2 or 3 downs.

I hope they don't nerf spine chill against stealth killers it would literally destroy the point of the perk

I find it a bit much to say spine chill, and iron will are perks that break the game. Like sure they are good perks, but they can't be abused. Spine chill is just an info perk that even then you can't see were the killer is. Iron will is just a perk that can just keep survivors quite. But even then if it's combined with lucky break it only last for 60 seconds max. He thinks that the perk is equal to DS, when DS made it so the killer couldn't even touch you those two perks are not even close to that.

  • Weak perks 👻. They don't need to nerf those perks to be honest. Iron will is waste of a spot, you will only see real sweaty survivor run it. Spine chill does not tell you were a killer is coming from, I had time were I run into the killer because spine chill activated. The only perk for survivors that may need a nerf is prove thyself I think it should 15% bonus speed not 25% (I got confused with leader sorry). I don't see how iron will or spine chill can be abusable, or strong. The old DS yeah that was broken since it was one minute of invisibility, but those two don't got that kind of power.

  • Played him, and he was more of a slow paced killer honestly. While I don't mind slow paced killers, like the trapper, nemesis was not my style. Plus his tentacle attack is hard to figure out were it's going to hit, and what can in hit through like I was able hit hit over concrete blocks, but not the through the cars. I prefer more of the range killers, while he can be consider one he is the slowest paced range killer.

  • How can play this many matches in one day XDD. I get burned out with 5 matches. But yeah overall for survivors I did get parried up on average with more competent survivors, than without MMR.

  • AHHH he looks hideous now. This is one of the new upgraded models that looks worse. Upgraded with his emotion back, he is supposed to be arrogant looking.

  • It's called stressed caused by playing killer. It's a real phenomenon for this game. Like you said even when you get a 4k it stresses some people out. Some people can't handle multitasking and being put under pressure. Since it's a 4v1. It's a real thing it happens to me to. Even if I'm winning after 2 or 3 matches I just don't feel like playing that role.

  • Hmm this does sound like taking the game hostage in a way. Since they keep picking up you up and forcing you to wiggle out and just keep downing you. So it's prolonging the game way to much. And forcing you to play in a way you can't control. But you there needs to be a system were you can bleed out quicker if you hold a button, so players can choose to bleed out quicker if they get slugged. Or what happened to you in your case, but thankfully I never had something like this happen to me.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Most overrated: Decisive strike isn’t a strong perk anymore imo and other options are much better

Most underrated: I’m going to be killed for this but Gearhead is a decent info perk on m1 killers and can work better than discordance against efficient survivors

I 100% think you're wrong on DS. The way it works now is fair. It's a strong perk that has gotten me many wins. Think about it I had matches were had I not had DS I would have lost. For example at the end game, there has been times were I'm getting camped and I get unhooked and get downed again were DS basically gave a 100% escape. Is it weaker now yes, but not underrated.

We'll make it, SWFs will always have a lot of BTs and none of these, really makes sloppy and slugging useless

Yeah you're right a lot of SWF always will have one person running we'll make it. Even when I play SWF there is always one of my friends running it. While with most solos they will only run it for a challenge or a certain build, at least I feel since that's the only time I run we'll make it solo.

4k escape? Doesn't the k means "kills"? We die but our ghosts escape. 😳

I'm kinda happy with how the MMR works. My teammates and the Killers seem closer to my skill level now. The curse of being a false red rank: potato time.

🤣 Did not even think about that. I'm just used saying k after numbers now.

  • @Fantasy said:

"Can barely secure 2 kills" that sounds like a fair match? Unless you want it balanced for 4k's every match like a lot of killers.

A lot of people wanna 4k every game. But unless they want to balance it based either survivors getting a 4k escape or killers get a 4k. 🙄

I love the concept, the perks could use tweaking but I think generally the concept is good, that I thought Jane was Latino? Mabye not, I don't know the specifics!

  • @Crowman said:

If you pop the gen, then down a survivor nearby the gen with an M1 and proc both surge and oppression you'll knock the gen down 39%, but you are also using 3 perks to do that.

Not to mention, Eruption has a 90 second CD and if you kick any gen while it's on CD you don't prime it for the next Eruption.

It's just kind of bad, but it probably won't see any buffs because in theory you could cause significant damage with a dedicated build and the star align.

Were did you get the 39% damage?

And if you use eruption it will damage any gen you kicked, and if survivors are working on it they will get incapacitated for 14 seconds, so they can't tap the gen. I don't see pop working since the survivor will hide usually for the remaining time, well at least that is what they would do when I used the perk. So pop would not be usually since the gen is regressing.

  • @DawnMad said:

Eruption only works on generators you manually kick, like all other "kick a generator" perks. Oppressions is a meh perk, Eruption is even worse. I wouldn't expect much from them.

Not even close. Oppressions is garbage, but eruption regresses every gens you kick 6%, and it's the only perk in the game that incapacitate survivor for 14 seconds. It's actually a decent perk. It could actually do some serious damage in situations were survivors are about to finish gens, it saved me in the in the PTB a couple of times combined with surge. This perk has potential the only thing I wish about the perk was if the cooldown was 60 seconds instead of 90.

  • @HaunterofShadows said:

Noed is overrated in my opinion. Just me though.

I was thinking of NOED being overrated. But then at the same time it's really not, since I seen killers go from 1 or 2 hooks, to a 4k by using NOED. So it's not overrated based on what I seen.

  • @nursewannabe said:

Ok i know most people will cry in denial from reading this but the most overrated perk is:

    *drum roll*

    Dead hard

Agreed sprint burst is the number one exhaustion perk.

I know killers hate it when they run to a gen and the survivor just sprint burst away. At least that is how I feel about when I play killer.

At least twins are kinda unique and kicking Victor is kinda funny.

Fighting trickster is like huntress but without the satisfaction of dodging a hatchet since he has 59 more

Completely disagree I rather go against a trickster vs a huntress any day, since her hitboxes with the hatchets are the 2 second worst hitboxes only beaten by freedy's hitboxes. And trickster honestly is easy to loop compared to a huntress since all you have to do is go behind a tall object and run around it. I'm not even kidding I looped a couple of trickster for 5 gens and managed to escape every time. I have not looped many huntresses for 5 gens. And I'm sorry those slugging machines no way, for me at least..

I think Trickster & Blight make Twins & Slinger a fun match up.

Don't think I agree with you man. I don't mind the trickster I only lost 2 times vs him. I honestly view trickster matches as a free win. While I do understand what you mean however, most trickster will camp since he is a weak killer. But I clearly have escaped from the majority of camping trickster, and even from a basement camping trickster. But I don't think he is hard to loop as well, since all you have to do is go behind tall walls and run around it.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Trickster is the most boring killer to fight period. He’s not frustrating or OP but he’s a complete snoozefest

I think you got confused with the twins lol.

  • Green hair or pink wig wearing neas tend to be the best loopers.

  • I would be shook if anyone picks wraith, the second most annoying killer in this game. Might even be number 1 since the way people play him most effectively is annoying.

  • @konchok said:

I don't know why people get so upset when survivors aren't "afraid". This game has no potential of actual physical harm. Of course survivors aren't going to be terrified.

  • Most of the story are simple. But trickster is by far the most detailed up to a date. A star who is a psycho, you can't beat the story of so called famous person.

  • She is the killer that is most need of a nerf. Since all you have to is guess vs her unless you are running spine chill.

The mechanic is called that way, don't think about the sound itself. Even if the sound is rather faint, it's still noticeable, they just get surprised with undetectable because they think you are farther away. People can clearly still hear it, you are relying on survivors having low quality sound and not paying attention for the use of some perks and strategies, which is not a good thing.

But as you see a lot people don't notice it. Since there is not a whole lot of trickster out there, so most people get caught of guard. And you would be surprised since a lot survivors don't pay attention, unless they are real sweaty who have to escape each time. Like me I usually watch tv in the background when I play survivor, so I'm half focused I rely on spine more than anything because of that. But based on my experience with playing him I don't think his lullaby is the problem, his weakness is high wall loops. So he in general is pretty much the weakest killer in the game, he needs buff to injure people quicker. I would like for him to be able to injure people with 6 knifes, and 8 to down them. Or they need a sort of mending system for him. And his main event needs a buff as well.

1 … 13 14 15 16 17 … 23
