Good survivors know how to sit on gens on complete them. Bad survivors just wander around and hide as soon as they hear the heartbeat, and most importantly they don't know how to sit on gens and complete them.

People want to play ranked for competitive games like in overwatch or apex. Problem is dbd is at its core a casual game.
By splitting the player base everyone would just queue casual because no survivor wants to fight a sweaty nurse and no killer wants to fight a sweaty 4 man no matter the rewards.
Separate levels for the free and premium pass wouldn’t work because then you’d be forced to buy premium day 1 or else you’d be #########
Thing is tho... All the sweat lords would actually care about their rank. So if they stopped playing ranked they would de-ranked. And usually sweaty people really care about rank. I personally don't care about rank. So If I went down to rank 20 because I only played casual, I would be okay with that.

What would be the point in running Spine Chill if stealth killers were immune to it? I can tell when any other killer is headed towards me because the Terror Radius is getting louder.
I would stop entertaining these grouches at this point. Very simple counter to the perk. But they want it easier. I lost to plenty of myers, and ghostfaces regardless. So it's not like it's impossible to beat people who use the perk.
-
Mod already confirmed it was not intended for trickster and deathslinger. It was only intended for nemesis.
-
Don't care we need something new. This is stale, I wanna play with my friend so we can both take down survivors.

Moonwalk to the gen, not hard.
Always trying to get decent perked nerfed. Instead of asking for perks to get buffed since 90% of them are horrible.
-
Look side ways. Stop trying to get my lazy perk nerfed, it's great because I don't have to focus on the game for the majority of the time and can actually listen to whatever I have in the background. Spine chill is not OP or nothing. If anything you guys should be asking for perked to get BUFFED, instead of asking for decent perks to get nerfed.

👀...

I don't mind the map as either survivor or killer tbh. I lost and won as both roles. I actually like the map.

I really do not know why Candyman have so much fans. I heard him because of this forum, before i never heard or saw him.
And i do not know him powers? How he will work?
Same I never heard about him till I started hearing his name being mention by people playing this game.
-
That is what I have always said for SWF it should be way harder to rank up. Because good survivors can carry bad ones. That is what happened to a couple of my friends that got to red ranks, but don't know how to loop or do anything in general other than hide and complete gens. Which is why some red ranked survivors lack knowledge of the game.

It's buying time for my team, is that also wrong?
Yes it is for them folks. But they act as if people looping is going to give them an easy down. When a good looper can be the one to waste a lot more time, than someone mindlessly running.
-
Yeah I thought map was going to be survivor sided, but after playing it a bunch of times has showed me it's more killer sided. Because you can hook someone across the map and the survivors would have a hard time finding someone. And the totems by far the hardest map to locate any. And it's pretty easy for the killer to lockdown one side of the map since he can stand in the stairway and see if anyone passes.
-
Ehh it's your cup of tea, some people enjoy only playing with their friends. I'm mostly solo, but I do play with my friends every once in a while.
-
Yeah red ranks is not that fun for either side. Since if you play killer you will get put vs sweat squads, or if you play survivor you get sweaty killers. There literary is no variety in any perks, which I can kind of get since most perk are useless. But everyone just wants to win ALL the time killers wanna get their 4 sacrifices every round, and survivors wanna get a 4 man escape each round.
-
I don't know what you mean when I play killer the majority of the players always will loop, so I guess I'm playing a different game. And plus a lot of the reworked maps have less, and less tiles they also have less pallets and more dead zones. Anyway you folks need to come up with something better to gripe about, because this is silly complaining about survivors running.

Your saying tricksters power is strong? Hahahaha I wish
I play trickster if a survivor is running mindlessly they won't last. Those are usually easy downs. Ironically looping the trickster with high tiles is what makes power useless.
-
🤣🤣🤣 Another daily post of certain folks griping about survivors running. Like what do you guys want survivors to do just wait and let you get the hit. And if a survivor knows how to loop some folks call it "abusing loops". So there is no strategy that survivors can put into action.
-
Endgame nothing is more satisfying then having a free escape card. Don't try to force it and waste it.
-
Probably took up too much space for the code, or something like that. But who knows. Oni had his whole music change, so it does not surprise me.

Do you even play killer?
3-5 second cd for injuring a survivor? That's longer than just hitting them with an M1.
The whole point of his blades is that he can keep applying damage with no cooldown between throws and you want to remove the one thing he has going for him.
I played every killer in the game to some extent. Look I don't track these small detail like that, for example how long cooldowns take I just play the game and have fun. Have the latest ptb? have you played the latest ptb? Because if you have, I wonder did you even played survivor. Because everyone is agreeing even me as a person who made this account to ask for buffs for the trickster, I saw that he is busted in the open. Because as long as he has 60 knifes in the open if there is no cover is pretty much a 99% down. Giving him a cooldown when he injures with his knifes would be the best changed they could make without making it so he stays weak.

But that's the one thing he has going for him over the other projectile killers. I can't see the devs removing his ability to deal laceration damage immediately after dealing a health state.
Dude they won't release him in his ptb state I'm pretty confident about that. I like his changes since basic tiles highwall no longer become near infinites vs him. But they will nerf him in some way, and the best thing way to nerf him so he is not at the bottom of the barrel is to give him a couple seconds cooldown when injuring someone. Maybe a 3 or 5 second cooldown animation. Because if they release him like that he will easily become the most hated killer in the game, because when there is no cover you are going 99% of the time if the trickster has 60 knifes. Or they could make it so he has 50 knifes instead of 60.
-
It depends but when I play killer I prefer aggressive players, since they tend to be more into the action and tend to focus less on gens. But as a survivor I prefer immersed players since they tend to be gen doers.
-
@VenomousHawk86 said:
They buffed him so he's better, these changes make him better at downing people so ofc he's better at downing people off hook.
Personally I think the amount of knives to down for him should have been reduced by 1, 2 was a mistake just watching this gameplay, good thing it's a PTB.
I doubt they will release him in current ptb state. Don't get me wrong in my opinion his changes are fantastic in my opinion. But I did play survivor vs him and he does feel oppressive in the open where there is no cover. Best thing they could is make it so when you get injured by his knifes he has a cooldown similar to huntress and deathslinger. So if a person gets injured they have a chance to run behind cover. Because as of now he can keep throwing after injuring and whatnot.

Killer being the power role is how an asymmetrical game is balanced.
You can't balance asymmetrical games, it's downright impossible. Since one side will always have an advantage, and it usually is the side with more players. That is the reason no one takes asymmetrical games serious at a competitive level. And plus with the RGN that always will give one side even more of an advantage.

He's got an awesome aesthetic and is one of the coolest looking killers in the game
It's a shame he's hot garbage :(
Wait if/(maybe) his buff come live...
Then people won't think he's garbage anymore. But I doubt it they will update him with his PTB buffs.
But if he does I'm 100% sure you will have a lot of people complaining that is his too strong.
-
No, the stat showed the game is pretty balanced.

Using perks is not toxic.
Majority of the list is perks. I guess using perks now is toxic.
-
Yeah I would support all shacks having breakable walls. To make the maps feel a bit more fair, since the shack definitely can unbalance for certain killers to deal with.
-
Run detective hunch, don't listen to all the other people saying to use counterforce or small game. Those perk waste to much time. with detective hunch it shows you the exact locations. Or just learn where totems typically spawn at, and look in those areas. But the perk is fine.
-
Never found him too operative to be honest. I always have dodged his shots, I think a lot of people just don't know how to adapt to different styles. You have to just look behind you a lot if you are getting chased by him , and use high wall structures.
-
I don't like the deathslinger one it has a lot of blood. My personal favorite is trickster. The face is actually his coolest one in my opinion. And also myer's prestige mask is cool.
-
Because survivors are hardly getting any. Why do you think killer ques are sooo long all day, except during at night. Because a lot of people are grinding for points.

I've personally found it has had a slight uptick with the usual times (normally at night I can get a game instantly; right now it's taking me about 30 seconds).
Yeah in night it's quicker right now, but even then it takes than what is usually takes. During the day, and morning It's takes me up to 10 to 20 minutes to find a match. But it's getting better now. Since people are going back survivor more now.
-
Make the key usable. The green key literally does nothing 🤣 most worthless item in itself. It should be able to active by survivors completing something so people could use it to escape through the hatch.
-
If anything killer only users should be sad. Since it can take up to 10 minutes to find a match. Why... Since well you photo clearly shows why. If survivors were able to unlock more cakes then people would not play killer as much during the events.
-
High risk high reward.

They did, then they realised how abysmally boring both holding W and pure stealth are to face and suddenly looping isn't complained about anymore. Funny how that happens, isn't it?
Wrong... I seen certain folks complain about decent to good loopers. I seen some people call it "abusing a loop". Funny thing some killers don't even bother with certain loops. And usually the survivors that run are the ones that don't know how to loop, and they tend to go down quicker than decent loopers.

maybe don't assume all solos are complete garbage at the game then.
70% are not good players. Realistically only about 30% are decent to great players. Majority of the people who play this game are casuals, they are not playing this every day. They are the average Joe who plays once or twice a week. Even back then there was a reason that they nerfed the old undying because they saw the stats, and majority of teams were losing to killers. That is why it got nerfed.
-
Or better yet make the key do something. Maybe make it after you complete 2 or 3 gens, allow the green key to activate.
-
Killers are stronger than ever, and easier to play than ever. Don't think it's necessary as other have pointed out, this will massively hurt solos which is the majority of survivors.
-
Seems like 60% of the times, I get paired up with people who seem to lack common sense. But I'm not shocked since the majority is casual, so people aren't going full sweaty all the time, and that is okay.

As survivor i need to escape if not its a lose if i escape by the hatch i consider that a lose too because i could not finiah my objectif.
For killer its a 4k anything less then that its a lose
What if you don't escape as a survivor? but 3 of your teammates escape?
And what if you sacrifice 3 instead of all 4, as a killer?
-
@Plu said:
I prefer longer games with actions as long as the Killer isn't Spirit, if it's her i'd rather finish the match ASAP
I suppose it depends on the killer, that you may want to finish the match as quick as possible.

@[Deleted User] said:
As survivor i just like escaping.
As killer, i honestly just prefer winning as quick as possible.
So lets says as a survivor all you do is do gens the whole time never even see the killer, no action and only get like 12k points, you don't mind I'm assuming. And as a killer you just get a 1 minute match where you down everyone in less than a minute and sacrifice everyone, with no action during the whole game.
-
The perk is easily the most overrated survivor perk in my opinion. Sprint burst is the superior exhaustion perk for survivors. But as everyone else is saying it should not allow you run over trapper, that is the one think that should get nerfed.
-
@Morpheus_7_ said:
there are strong killer players and weak killer players! the game certainly has problems, but it's not unplayable ... if you know how to play!
That is not his point. His point is that the game stutters when he uses a killers ability, and that can cause him to lose a survivors. Basically putting him at a disadvantage.

Who said anything about what you play?
It sure wasn't me.
Honestly I thought you were dramatizing when you would say the game would stutter after any interaction after the latest update. But I saw my brother playing the other day, and you where right the game would lag every 1 minute or so. Each time nemesis would swing it would stutter. And I it believe it now. I can imagine it messes up matches, as old my pc would stutter like that too, it would cause me to miss skill checks and all that because of the stuttering. But yeah, I guess a lot of people won't believe you until they see it with their own eyes.

Also give wake up a buff. It should open gates at least 40% faster, 10% is incredible low.
