Just FYI wheat soup exists (look up cracked wheat soup for instance)
That it does, I guess broth is the one main unit for a soup, so the question really is: Is milk broth. The answer to this is not really.
-
Im gonna do that as well.
Who knows, maybe ill meet you in the fog.

Thats a nice description of Rin Yamaoka since what, her release?
Being a spirit main must have felt like being strapped to a chair while watching a 2 year old playing with a loaded gun.

Depends on if you count fat as meat since milk has milk fat in it
but even then there is a second component if that doesn't count
In terms of savory aspect some cereals are indeed savory at least in some capacity especially those that add flavor to the broth, like cocopuffs or in my case as I was eating writing this captain crunch
Some cereals are defintitely some form of soup, but not all of them, fat-based milk definitely is a soup, fatless milk though, isnt, and those that use water are lying.
-
@bjorksnas said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/291113/is-cereal-soup
Since milk is pasteurized at a high temperature I do count it as a broth for the cereal most of which is also made at a high temperature so as all ingredients involved are effectively cooked cereal is a soup since serving temperature on soup can very its just a cold soup like cucumber soup or gazpacho soup
This is a valid point, however, soup must contain vegetables, or meats, failing that, something savory. Wheat, and grain, in my opinion, make for a different dish all together.

thank you RandyBob for a truly fun match.
do any of you have a killer you wish to say thank you to?

Each survivor could be considered a seperate load out, that's what I am going to use them for anyway.
Want a healing build, use Claudette. Want a stealth build, use Nea etc. Killers however don't have this luxury.
The perks are in alphabetical order so they are not that hard to find. I just keep forgetting ruin is not in R, it's in H for hex ruin lol.
DBD mobile has the perks organized.
Perks Like Monstorous, NOED, etc in "Cruelty"
Perks like Self care in "Altruism"
Its really cool.

Huntress should have a stamina bar. If she holds her hatchets for too long or throws too many in a short space of time, she drops all of her hatchets onto the floor and can't attack until she picks each of them up individually and sits down for a few minutes.
If deathslinger misses a shot, he is bound to the area like a dog on a leash, and needs to walk over to where the shot landed, pick the shot up, reload, and than cry for 2 minutes before being allowed to move again.

Generally though a soup is cooked but the specific serving temperature of a soup varies meaning since the ocean isn't cooked yet its still in the process of becoming soup
This is true.

I have like 30 of them
I cant get rid of them

We’ve also decided to buff the size of Coal Tower, Wrecker’s Yard, Dead Dawg Saloon, Father Campbell’s Chapel, and Rancid Abbittoir to levels of Mother’s Dwelling, Disturbed Ward, and Shelter Woods. This will ensure The Spirit has no shot to catch survivors.
Since this would render other killers into the high tiers (i.e blight) with mobility, we have removed the ability for all other killers to move, so killers don't need to worry about spirit leaving the meta.

I never said the soup was finished its still heating up
This would be most definatly true, however, it has been shown by this argument that the water does not need heat specificaly, all that would be required was all marine life to be eliminated, and the oceans changed to meet the regulations for food set forth by the FDA or any governmental regulation
-
@GannTM said:

Devs: We thought that the Spirit’s directional audio would be enough to make Spirit unable to kill to we’ve decided to give her regular movement speed while on her power to hopefully make it way easy for survivors.
While phasing, the survivors will be able to see a opaque sillouhette moving around the map, because it will be harder for the survivors to see her, the spirit will move at 2.5 speed, and lose the ability to see anything besides the map, no scratch marks, or blood.

But the ocean is soup based on its ratio of salted water to meats and vegetables
I would argue conversly - As the meats and vegetables are still alive, one can not refer to it as a dish, for the same reasons one can not eat a live pig so you can have bacon
@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2600303#Comment_2600303
I agree yogurt is taking the place of cream or milk here, but those aren’t broth either. I believe broth is specifically when you simmer something in water to imbue it with that flavor, so Milk and cream and yogurt aren’t broth.
I believe you are mistaking this for stock, which does require a simmer, conversly, in order to form a yogurt culture for the soup, milk must be heated, and mixed with two cultures, Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. The warm milk creates a nice arrangement for the bacterial culture to grow, thickening the milk to yogurt.

@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2600277#Comment_2600277
It might be worth noting the Cold Cucumber Soup Recipe I posted above doesn’t include broth.
I would argue that the yogurt is taking the form of cream in the broth of the soup.
-
@bjorksnas said:
Its a spectrum depending on the liquid to food ratio, think pH but not log base 10
Soup is on one end of the spectrum which means its more of a liquid food with a higher broth to food ratio then something like stew which has a higher food to broth ratio
Cereal with a ton of milk is soup but a full bowl of cereal with just a splash of milk is stew
I believe, counter to your claim, cereal is not soup. The way a soup interacts is very different from cereal. A soup requires broth. Water, is not soup. A liquid alone is not the benchmark for soup. Broth, as @MrCalac123 mentioned, is the main definition for a soup.

Having a broth as the main focus of the meal.

FYI cold soup is a thing, soup doesn’t have to be heated. For example, this recipe for cold cucumber soup.
https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/cold-cucumber-soup-yogurt-and-dill
You are correct in that case, So I imagine it would be a:
Mixture of vegetables, or meat in a liquid dish.
I think the one main definition is a Meat or vegetable served in a liquid.
-
r6 siege has this mechanic. I think that the ability to rejoin left matches would be a nice component.
In siege here is what happens:
Person DCs
DC'rs team has the oppuritunity to end the match, not losing any ELO, but since the match ends, the DCr gets a penalty.
But a vote to end the match would be a good (ish) idea. Would need some tweaks to prevent a SWF from just having someone leave and the other 3 keep MMR in a losing game, though.
I think the killer would need 2 votes, so they can't be overruled as well.
-
Soup is a liquid dish, made by heating meat, fish, or vegetables in a stock, mainly by simmering.
For this reason, it is true that cereal is not soup.
I recommend chicken noodle soup.

Gimmie 3 yuis with me a leon main plz, also yui story to me was actually very interesting, I love strong will minded men and women and yui story shows this, the never give up attitude, the I can get all I want by trying hard attitude, yes her perks arent all that but her backstory and how people play her is why shes a S tier on my yes to go to survivors I wanna team with. The fact yui was able to fight off a dude and not give up even when she was stabbed. The fact that people saw her as a role model and leader and it is not as if she forced herself to get people attention.
Change yuis voice, shes a hardened badass, not feng.

Imagine having the time to be an 8,000 hour Nurse main and also make 2,100 posts pretending to be an entitled survivor main. This gimmick stopped being funny 2,000 posts ago. The problem is the devs probably read this guy's posts and go "wow, this is some incredibly useful insight into the survivor experience, we could do something with this!" and the game ends up in the state it's in now with ultra fast unlimited boon heals, 3 gens done at 1 hook, and maps the size of Texas with 30+ pallets
Did you know that texas is larger than france? Thanks to the map we use, that makes ocean navigation easier, sizes of things are distored, Russia is the size, lengthwise, of africa
