When there are two survivors and one of them it shouln'd open the hatch, but instead, it should trigger the end game collapse.
I think it is unfair as a killer when someone DC and the other one can freely escape
So then you have the situation where a survivor doesn't wanna finish the match and dcs which cucks their teammate

Each event to my knowledge costs 1000 auric cells, now providing you reach tier 70 (which is easily achievable for regular players) you get the 1000 auric cells back as a reward.
Providing you don't spend your newly acquired auric cells, you then use them for the next new event which costs 1000 cells.
I can't see any valid reason to complain about the events when you get given back the cells it cost you in the first place!!!!!
Now that aside there are plenty of other never ending issues that they cant seem to tackle, fix or get right in a timely manner, but hey that's why they put this forum in place.
You do realize those auric cells are a bug, and its most likely not ok to use them right? Also we can't complain about a product we didn't pay for? Free games always listen to concerns about their game even though it costs no money yet bhvr can't take critique for events? Stop trying to speak for bhvr they can speak for themselves

as the OP of the previous "super thread", I gotta say I find this unnecessary.
First, BHVR already officially acknowledged the problem, which was never done during our previous "battle".
Second, this time the problem is literally game breaking - it was awful during 4.1.0, but now it's just unplayable. They will (and most probably are) already losing a lot of players due to this, there's no way they'll not try to quickly fix things.
The PS4 player base is the biggest after the PC one (probably because of the fact that game got gifted in the PS Plus a while ago), if half of the players just quit playing it will be extremely impactful.
And no, I'm done giving the benefit of the doubt to BHVR, the very fact that we currently are in this condition means that they simply don't do Q&A on console - maybe they emulate the game, maybe they have some special hardware that is unaffected, still, obviously their Q&A process doesn't work and this will probably never change.
However... they still want our money, and PS4 players can't give them money if they stop playing the game. So yeah, they'll fix it, and I'd think this will be their highest priority for the time being.
I understand, but how many times in war have you seen battles go beyond the wishes of the starter and end well? many times. They have heard us in thier recent tweet. That's why no one is making anymore threads.

Hook camping seems to happen literally every single game. The banana ranks you tend to see more face camping. At the higher ranks you see a lot of proxy camping. There just need to either be penalties for killers that stay too close to the hook for longer than x amount of time or more survivor perks to counter this type of behavior. A Strong enough counter that would really make killers stop doing this. Hell, you could even take away the grab animation when survivors are unhooking. And if they land a hit during the unhook it does no damage. You’d have to hit them before they unhook. Survivor perks are way too weak imo. Deliverance is just not enough because you have to unhook someone first and it only works once. If you’re the first person to get caught all you have to look forward to is to die and you don’t get to play anymore? How is that not a part of the game you would focus on preventing?
DS is only a one time use I’m surprised I see people complaining it’s too strong still. It’s definitely not. It’s actually really weak imo. Needs to be every time you get off the hook. Deliverance should work every time you get hooked as well if you’re requiring a safe hook rescue. These are perks we are talking about. Killer perks get to be used all game long and stack but survivor perks get one time uses?
It’s bad enough there are all kinds of bugs/glitches. You can’t even hug walls in this game effectively because there are parts where the survivor gets stuck in place unless you walk around because there is an invisible rock in your way.
So you want killers to sacrifice something on their side for you? How about instead of penalizing, we incentivize funner playstyles

As you can tell by my profile picture, I main Jake when I play survivor.
Jake is one of the original four survivors. He's one of the most played characters in the game, he's one of the few survivors that has a Legacy skin, and a lot of DBD content creators have Jake as their main. So why hasn't Jake featured in the Rift yet?
Blight has featured in two separate Tomes.
Even Adam has now featured in the Rift, and who plays as Adam?
Seriously, I'm a killer main and I rarely see survivors play as Adam. I wouldn't be surprised if I see Jeff, another character that is barely played by the player base, feature in the Rift before Jake.
I'm going to state that I don't really play DBD anymore, currently the only time I play DBD is to complete the Rift. The last time I was playing at red ranks on both sides was in July, so I'm ignorant about the current DBD related issues.

Okay okay! I am on ps4 and like first of all the frame rate when I start the game, it is soooo jerky! also what happened to the start sound? it just went "poof!" no sound there. I am liking the blood splattering on the camera, very cool. What the hell happens with mending or waking people up with Freddy now? I just stand there there is no animation. Also there has been a time when the camera on the game just decides to say "hi how are you" (in spongebob voice) it zooms in for no reason. Also why do I make a sound when been woken up like I am injured? There is so many things going on! some good, some bad.....I think I am off to see the wizard!
PS4 got brutally penetrated by this last patch so im guessing thats the source of your issues.

the fact you're whining that you don't get some information in a PTB that you are lucky to have. the PTB in terms of DBD is to spot BIG GLARING issues. a small range change (which btw is a single value in the database) and I doubt that changing the number to one that is close to the range of the majority of maps is not going to be an issue. how ever, if you change the maps that they want people to get in there to try and spot locations that will cause issues. it's to see how the new perks work with older perks, how the new killer powers interact with the old perks. for the PTB to be meaningful at all it needs to be active for 3-4 weeks and have a player base that will go there for that time period and instead BHVR runs it for 3 days to 1 week, and does not compensate people in ANYWAY to play on it so not many do. did you even know that the PTB has no matchmaking what so ever? there isn't even the original rank plus or minus 6. no mmr, nothing... why? they don't have enough there. so they don't have it. Now to ask you this: does CoD mobile have a test server? nope they took that away in season 11. why? who knows... the devs decided it wasn't to be. you do not own stock in bhvr, you do not gain any true say so in any case by buying the game. You CAN bring up issues, but when the OP says oh noe!!!! I can't take it when one perk wasn't used in testing. I bet you anything there were other non tested things done..
I know for a fact several things were not tested in the blight PTB time, as well as during PH's PTB and midchapter patch PTB.... you and other people here do not determine what is put on the PTB and it's not wrong for them to make changes without the PTB. be glad you get a ptb, Heck I remember when they put up the PTB to test something, people found an error in the game they removed the PTB and when they put the PTB back up things that were being tested that had nothing to do with the error was NOT in the PTB again. guess what. get over the importance you put yourself in. they have ignored people telling them that there are bugs on the PTB with content and pushed it live and never fixed it, why? they wanted it that way specifically.
Last time I say it, I am not whining, i could care less about past ptbs because all you are basically saying is they give half finished products to the community to test. And yes I know there isn't matchmaking, nice assumptions like everything else you said about me in your post. If you are going to change something that will affect a majority of players yeah I do think you should tell them if it's in a ptb. Sorry not sorry

Don't get me wrong I am all for earning a one shot through addons or perks or whatever.
If you are going to argue that survivors have this and that which makes them to strong or gens go to fast I agree things on survivors side should also be nerfed or removed.
Other killers still have to deal with those.
But the the question remains a legitimate reason a killer should have a one shot in their base kit?
Let's see Billy can easily miss, bubba can be easily spun, it's not op its strong but not the strongest out there like nurse or spirit

Now that it's October play Myers only and stare into their souls while their hooked, idk what gets you going but I'm sure you can come up with something to entertain yourself.
Still in all survivor's may run the same thing which is changing, I've seen fewer d strike users may be a ploy so it want get changed but whatever, the game constantly changes for me especially with new cosmetics, DLCs and the archives.

Killers is a filthy Tunneler and a Camper? Bring your huge d*ck build, the almighty Decisive Strike + Unbreakable with a spice of Borrowed Time.
The Killer is a weak one like Clown or Trapper? Good thing the Survivors are a SWFs with comms, Let's punish that b*tch by repeatedly pressing "Crtl" and making sure that he needs to feel to brings strong killers next game.
Is the four Survivors on lobby looks like a SWF? Just bring your most Bullsh*t Add Ons (with a Mori ;) ) as Killer. Throw that Iridescent Bus as Huntress or Shove that Pinky Finger up their butts as Clown :D
If you're escaping or getting 4Ks consistently using these advices then you're doing it right! Who cares that the other side is having fun right? The game is balance you just to need to play it correctly. :D

No the PTB is not a strict test server. They have made changes without the PTB being used or part of the loop. WHY? because they saw a problem and they fixed it. they do not have to give you crap, the PTB is a BONUS for you but most that go to the ptb would not even give their feedback about it or any problems and just come her and complain just like you. I said "the PTB is to check for the big issues" a single perk with a small range change is not something that is a big issue. to me, it is not even a worry, I don't use it all the time so why worry? you're freaking out over a small change as if your first born was sacrificed to the entity. I even showed you how trivial it is that people will come in here and complain about a change even when it's on the PTB. I mean whine really, The door change went to the ptb and people decided that it was a problem on the ptb and whined about it. you are GIVEN the chance to help them trouble shoot it, but not GUARANTEED that chance. You are the one with the attitude that you have to see everything before it's posted... many games even make changes without a PTB at all, and I'm talking about multiplayer games too. WHY? because the devs are the ones in control and they decide what gets posted and what doesn't. If you had come here and on the feedback channel said " hey bhvr, did you know there was a change to discordance? was this intended or an accident?" that'd gone over much better but here it came across "WOE IS ME!!!! THE SKY IS FALLING! THEY CHANGED THE PERK I USE AND I HAVE BEEN WRONGED!" this is why I responded as I did.
And where in my post was I whining? I don't use disc so idrc but it's still a change big enough to be on the ptb

Chill out is my first request. If you are going to make a player test build, meaning you are giving players the option to test something, why give them a half finished project. It's like asking a teacher whether you did a problem right when you only showed half of what you did. It makes no sense. And like I said not telling the community about a change to good perk is really a bad idea. Suire other multiplayer don't do it but that's because they either
A get enough feedback through regular gameplay and can respond quickly
B haven't changed everything that was promised pre-patch
Let's give an example. Let's say Activision nerfs a gun on CoD and the community tells them the gun is useless. So they quickly react and have a buff made to that gun quickly.

not everything is going to be shown in the PTB. the PTB is to check for the big issues like maps that were changed, large perk changes, in order to get it fixed. I'll tell you if they aren't trying to fix things before the ptb is set and then decide that they have worked out something on another subject they will do that work but it won't have the PTB updated. if you think this is a test server like the mmo's have, then you are wrong, and if you think you're entitled to know every change coming up before it is done then you are WRONG. HOWEVER, is it good to change things and suddenly spring it on the game population or not say it at all? nope. look at what happened when the ptb was put live for the mid chapter patch. suddenly because they changed that the lights turn on immediately when you pull the door lever, people whined "why was this shadow nerfed!?" when it was the PTB and NOT the live client. no one is going to be happy so they've said that they put things on the ptb and if it isn't ready for the ptb in time that doesn't mean it's going to be held for the next big ptb test. sigh when will people stop complaining that the game isn't made the WAY THEY WANT IT and accept they have no control over the decisions? HERE NOW: I am not saying you can't complain or bring up something and ask hey was this intended? it might not have been. but stop complaining that something wasn't in the PTB thus it shouldn't have gone to the LIVE client.
Then what's the point of the ptb. the point of the ptb to to test changes before they go live, by not putting discordance on the ptb, they skipped a step and added a change into the live game without any feedback, which as you can see lead to backlash. If i think every change they make should be tested then im wrong? Thats asking for disaster, there's a reason the ptb exists and the discordance change defeated the entire purpose of it.

EDIT: Reposting this since this post was put on hold from being published due to some editing changes and was basically buried from what I can tell. Also seeing the conversation starting to bring stuff like this up which is great! Anyways here's the post:
Seeing a huge rise of more "srsly guys we gotta talk about gen time" or "guys gen times are op pls nerf" sorry if I'm being mean but I've seen this argument parroted over and over and over again. Outside of the early game being really weak to most killers and yes there should be some kind of mechanic to help slow down the game for maybe 30 seconds until the first chase is initiated. Other than that if you just look at a normal survivor match gens are fine in terms of speed. Generator speeds are OK.
What's not OK is gen difficulty. In my honest opinion, generators as an objective is a woefully outdated mechanic in this game. Always figured that the skill checks for gens were a placeholder for what gens were going to be... then four years went by and nothing is different about survivor objectives besides some of the tools to do them. I don't like telling people what to think about something but I think it's pretty clear: Skill Checks are QTEs, and QTEs are a general skill that every gamer already knows. Literally every skill check is essentially the reloading minigame from goddamn Gears of War. Guys, the skill required to complete your objective is something that was considered a reloading mechanic not a central part of the game... While I'm not saying that these skill checks are brain dead tasks I will say that the skill required to do them is too easy. Especially when sites like this exist. At least QTEs in other games usually use more than one button to press on time. To clarify I'm not for making the QTEs harder because historically QTEs are a scourge on most game design, a placeholder for actual gameplay mechanics.
To me, doing gens needs to be more than a simple well timed button press. Among Us recently did an absolute masterclass in doing objectives. I understand that the whole "Comparing Among Us to DbD" is a really misguided argument since they are very different games. However I think comparing how they do objectives is at least comparable. In Among Us, doing your objective purposefully puts you in a somewhat vulnerable position and while yes I realize that connecting wires or swiping a card aren't the hardest things in the world, they require interaction beyond a button press and more importantly, your attention. If someone says a "but what about the super easy tasks it's just the same thing as a skill check, argument dumb!" remember that those tasks typically require you to do them three times AND move around the map in order to do them such as the trash and download minigames AND those tasks typically are longer to compensate for their easiness.
Please note I'm not saying that Among Us' minigames should be just copy and pasted into DbD but I think the idea of them is something to pursue. Obviously it's not something that can just be patched in, it'd require a huge rework, maybe even a dedicated chapter to do it. Let's take the Among Us wire connecting game as an example. Imagine instead of a circle prompting a button press you a screen with matching game of wires/buttons with a timer? If you mess up a wire, the gen explodes and regresses. If you connect all the wires within the time limit it's like hitting a great skill check and if the timer runs out, you just progress like a good skill check. Personally, I think that adding multiple little games like this to gen repairs fixes the core issues with gens in this game:
- This would mean Survivors will have to actually pay attention to generator repair and make the act actually skillful again since you'd have to pay attention to the killer's position AND the gen more presently. "But what about newbies?" Firstly, I don't want these minigames to be like one of those "five moves to mate" chess games but simple straightforward games that anyone can understand. Remember: Among Us Minigames but just a little more complex. I think also for newbies it'll be much more involving to play a little game within the game AND more importantly leads into my second point:
- It makes Survivor more interactive. I sympathize a lot with survivors who find the act of doing gens boring because it is boring. You hold a button and occasionally hit another button. For survivors with decent playtime that gets stale really quick. This at least gives you something different each match since you could get new minigames to do which is at least something more and would make survivor less of a slog. Lastly it does something to generators:
- Makes doing Gens require skill without being unfair. Survivors often face killer mains complaining about how survivor takes "no skill", how it's just running around in a circle and for dummies. That is not true. Survivor absolutely requires skill and I respect survivors who are great in chase and jukes and the like. However, I think this argument comes from the fact that while the chase is where Survivors display their skill, doing their objective requires significantly less skill. When gens go fast, it feels bad because the actual generators, the act of doing gens, is an incredibly low skill task that doesn't require much interactivity or skills besides pressing spacebar when prompted. Meanwhile, the Killer's main objective is to kill survivors, does require skill and survivors avoiding that happening requires skill but that side part of the game doesn't require that much skill. Also please don't tell me that a Killer's objective is to get people off gens. I know that's true for early game but ultimately it becomes "kill survivors" also we all seem to agree that the chase is the best, most interactive part of the game right? By implementing this change this would make gens require more interactivity and skill to do them without directly affect speed besides survivor learning curve to learning the games.
The only issue I see with the argument is maybe tournament DbD since that adds more RNG to the game but at the same time since tournaments are actually done in KYF then you could change it to say use regular skill checks or chose specifically what kinds of minigames are chosen so survivors don't feel overwhelmed by random games. Also hope I'm not feeling condescending towards Survivors since I don't want this post to be "ProOF SUvivR TaKeS NOOOooooOOO sKKKKiiilLLl!!!!" because that is NOT what I'm imply so let me be upfront:
I am a Killer Main, I rarely play Survivor. I don't find survivor gameplay as fun as Killer for me to play. I do watch Survivor players on stream and YouTube whenever I can and always try to keep an open mind whenever thinking about changes to this game since I acknowledge that I don't entirely see the full picture of this game. Yet I do think that reworking gens not by speed but by mechanics is a valid thing and would help the game for both sides. It gives Survivors a more interactive experience beyond simply the chase and I think most Killers would appreciate going against teams even ones that get gens done fast because gens actually require more than a timed button press.
I hope people like this idea and if you don't let's discuss ideas! Please don't just say "no because ___ exists". Firstly if these changes were implemented then obviously perks should be changed to accommodate for both survivor and killer. Also something shouldn't be dismissed just because something exists since it can be worked around. I know this would definitely require essentially an entire rework of core game mechanics but I believe that it would help the game in the long run. If you got a minigame idea list here! Anyways hope you enjoyed this wall of text and for hearing me out! Lots of Love ❤️

Please make a TL;DR

OK then everything is ok. I alredy forget the reason why you said that and the reason why we had this discussion XD
You said haddonfield and ormond were balanced, which made me think you were a troll but gaves you reasons why they weren't, you countered with reasons they were and i countered those, then the convo went off topic

They sure love making sudden, unnecessary changes and seeing the community flail as we adjust. No one ever asked for a range cap on Discordance, and yet we got it. But what are we gonna do about it? Stop playing DBD?
I mean i am because i can't even blink well with the worse frames for console, but yeah close an 30 page thread for 2 or 3 people's comments

Worst part is, this is most likely how we're gonna be for the whole Halloween event. I can't see an hot fix coming quicker than that.
It's moments like these that make me absolutely hate the answer they gave for a game health chapter. If the team can do both why is this such a frequent problem? What a damn shame.
I was honestly enraged when they gave that answer, because that was a lie, there isn't enough people to balance and keep bugs under control and make platforms playable

Wait really do you know which thread that was?
which i stopped responding to because a mod was saying i was being rude for thinking you were trolling, and then jailed me for fighting back

Wait a sec, I alredy exlpained you why that's not the chase but you diden't gived me a answer after some time for no reason.
You didn't, last thing you said was that 3 genning was sweating for the 4k, which I already told you was wrong and why.

No, I don't really think so. Those are two fan films. The intellectual property of Jason, and Friday the Thirteenth in general is still in legal hell, and probably will be for a long time. I'm no lawyer, but I don't think that DbD could take from a Fan Film at all.
Nah the case is about to end as they already announced merch and there is a new movie coming out.

@ILoveDemo I already explained to you why haddonfield was busted in your other thread, and you come in this one with the same narrative. It sounds like you are just trolling but i am most likely wrong so what can i explain to you to make you understand?

If the hatch doesn't spawn until the last survivor is alive like I specified above they couldn't place it next to the hatch. There would be no point to.
ok couldn't they just drop it or leave it in a chest until they need it? This also makes hatch only usable for keys, which is #########

No 6 meters of the Killer. The number of meters is just give a small detail.
Also couldn't they just drop the item next to the hatch? Whats the counterplay
