I find it mediocre when the build gets disable under a ######### minute.
So glad you agree with me.
Passive gen regression + massive map pressure is mediocre.
Sure.
That's the whole point of hex perks, risk/reward, if you manage to keep ruin going you are gonna get highly compensated.
Have you at least tried it?

Why the hell would anyone waste time, blood points and perk slots to have a mediocre build when better perks exists on their own
Surveillance + Ruin, the most "mediocre" build in the game.
-
MoM is underrated, after the buff to detection hits its way more consistent.
People saying it is a bad perk probably are not interested in learning how to properly use it.
-
What do you mean the devs don't hate me and every action they do is not made with the intention of ruining MY gameplay experience?! can't you see they are sooooooo survivor sided in their stream? They said they will nerf toolboxes, when in reality they need to be completely removed, as well as the crutch perks DS, BT, DH, MoM, inner strenght, kindred, no mither, buckle up and deja vu
-
If it is a wall smasher killer the devs must be working their asses off to rework all the maps so that it fits with his power, because currently i see many maps were he just wouldn't work
-
Ironic.
-
lmao with people blaming this ######### game on the ruin nerf, get over it, ruin wasn't even that good and most probably wouldn't have an impact against gen focused survivors..
Back at blaming the evil devs for doing things you don't like.
-
Ace hides evil behind his smile and charisma.
-
Nurse is still extremely good, just boring as hell.
-
What angered me the most was the post game chat, survivors played optimally as #########, barely giving Otz a chance, and then one moron has the audacity to insult him in the post game chat for """"tunneling""""
I so much hope that ######### gets at least a month ban

Wanna hear what's more dumb? The Hatch wasn't added to the game to "give the last survivor a chance to survive".
It was added so that "the last survivor can no longer take the game hostage by remaining hidden".
Try adding that to your coffee and drinking it. The dev's literally dealt with a problem of survivors taking the game hostage, by giving them free wins.
Survivor is screwed 90% of the times if the killer finds the hatch and closes it, I dont think its exactly a "free win" for survivors.
-
-
I would switch, but I have a potato computer, so it would be impossible
-
Actually not a bad idea, you can force them into 3 genning themselves.
-
Any killer is good if you know how to play him.
-
People take this game unhealthy seriously.
-
You are demanding a dev implements a change you want? lmao
-
I am more worried by the fact that you feel that way, stressed.
If you are feeling that way and simply can't stop playing the game, seek help.
-
Because devs are ebil and dont like us knowing the truth.
-
@Vuk said:
1- Camping is an acceptable strategy, the devs said that and the game is made having this in mind. (also many addons relate to this)
The game would be much better without camping but actually its impossible for some killers to secure kills without camping...
2- What you CANT do is disrespect people, tea bagging, pointing, etc...
Well, nobody stops you from teabagging and pointing, it is not breaking the rules or anything of the sort

While players often talk about how killers aren't entitled to a 4k, should an individual survivor be able to escape this reliably?
There are several more examples... Is this intended to be this easy? Should a survivor be able to go into a match and expect to escape?
Just a thought.
Why dont you try to play some survivor and try start your own streak to prove just how easy it is?
Oh wait... You dont play survivor.

This just only really tells me three things:
A) DBD sucks at horror, which is a known truth at this point. Doesn’t mean it can’t try when that was clearly it’s goal, and honestly, they did fairly well with Oni compared to how they’ve been doing.
B) You would do well to stay the hell away from horror games, my beloved.
C) Similar to 🅱️ott 🅱️und, you don’t seem to understand that “power role” and “balanced” surprisingly don’t automatically cancel each other out.
So, if I understood correctly, killers should be able to easily overpower survivors simply because they are the power role?

Did you forget the part where the killer can ######### kill people and survivors can't.
Calm down Scott, i think its time to lay off the conversation.
-
Wow, criticizing the devs for literally everything
How brave.
-
Its just hard to please everyone.
-
The posture Otz is taking with this video is dissapointing me, he is just feeding the divide between killers and survivors even further.

Survs are not entitled to escape
Exaclty, sorry for my circular logic, but that is the same reason why killers are not entitled to 4ks every game.

There appear to be a lot of people commenting about their physiological responses to this game when they play. I'm becoming quite concerned for the overall health of this player base.
Interesting, what kind of physiological responses are they experiencing?

What do you expect from players who like seeing people being brutally murdered :/
DBD is pretty softcore compared to other horror games, i dont think its about that.

@Quol said:
I agree that its stupid to call Ruin a late game perk. Devs have said if its made into a non hex perk then its effects would be reduced.
I wouldnt mind it becoming a non hex perk with a lesser effect but i feel like nothing will happen, the devs just want to put Ruin behind them and never think about it again.
I have to agree with this, ruin is not a late game perk, where it shines the most is at the beggining of the game, when you can get a lot of regression just by keeping survivors off of gens.

"Monkey" is generally considered a racist term when it's used as an insult against someone with dark skin, particularly someone of African descent.
But we dont use the word "monkey" in latin america to refer negatively to black people, its just a way of calling someone dumb or an idiot.
Anyways, i am not trying to defend the guy that said the message, he was being rude and I hope he gets punished for it

There is no hints or official statements on what the next Killer will be.
Since the previous two Killers before The Oni were licensed and than The Oni, being non-licensed, came out makes this entirely unknown to what the next Killer will be. It's best to just leave it up to fate and wait for a possible hint or trailer from the DBD Twitter in the future.
At the moment though, nobody knows and it's hard to make a theory off of literally nothing...
Well, one of the devs mentioned something about the killer being able to completely ignore loops, and one of the lines of code hint directly at "the smasher", that one killer they scraped because it was too broken.

Wrong good survivors will ensure that never comes into play therefore not a true second chance perk.
I could say the same about DS (slug), Dead hard (bait), BT (Stay away from the hook).

Trolling or just stupid?
With the size of the maps coupled with gen speed, unless you're playing a killer that has high map pressure such as billy then you're completely ######### vs swf. Yeah, the game might be better than it was, but it's taken a few steps back recently. They have basically admitted to having a bias towards survivors. DS's nerf was more of a hidden buff. The thing is, survivors are allowed to have crutch second chance perks such as DS, BT, adrenilin yet survivor mains cry enough that killer perks get nerfed more.
You did nothing to address his post, you only repeated the same argument of "big maps is the problem" and "SWF bad", with the same mentality that the devs are evil and ruin the experience of killers pruposefully because they love survivors.
At much you are just proving his point: You are unable to think for yourself and rely directly on the opinions of others just to feel validated.
-
Uh, macaco just means monkey, it has nothing to do with the n-word, in fact, the n-word doesnt have an exact translation in spanish.
It isnt a racist slang by any means, he was rude but not racist by any means.

This is what happens when you give guns to monkeys.

discordance.. minimum 2 potential hits for frenzy
I mean, its really good and helps you apply pressure
and doesnt die in the first minute of the game, but it does not make gens regress. -

Yeah sure, when ? in 2 years hopefully.
I'm sorry, maybe you're new in the community, but the dbd devs are known for taking WAY to much time to roll out significant gameplay changes, look at the meta, the same 3 perks for 3 years....
With ruin gone, it should be easier to look at gen speeds, for at team as small as the one behaviour has, its really difficult to implement a lot of changes at once.

It’s okay to hook your obsession or even slug them if you have to, but I understand Dying Light isn’t for everyone.
Either way, here is a game from about an hour ago that I had as Legion with the recommended build, cheers 🍻
Cheers!

@Speshul_Kitten said:
Nice build, however, Trade Spirit Fury and Enduring for Thanatophobia and Dying Light, then it will truly be a good build.
I also recommend Filthy Blade and Nasty Blade, switch out Nasty Blade for Iridescent Button when you go against a really strong team.
Props on catching on though.
I switch thana each now and then with spirit fury, but I dont like running Dying light, the fact that the obsession is not affected by it is a huge drawback in my opinion, not that its a bad perk, I just dont like it.
I also consider enduring a necessity on legion, because it allows you to reduce the stun from frenzy by getting hit by a pallet.
Anyways, thanks for the advice, I will take it into account.
-
How hard is it to understand that the ruin nerf was necessary thing? It will make addressing the gen issue more easily.

You mean beside the fact that Ruin was nerfed because survivors complained it was too frustrating or hard while at the same time survivors are telling killers to "git gud" without their crutch perk as they run their DS, Unbreakable, BT, Adrenaline or DH, telling killers to pressure gens, yet at the same time telling them to abandon chase because survivors run into one of the dozen overpowered structures that exist that alone can keep chases alive for minutes before the killer can catch up to them.
This has been happening on this forum too, just FYI.
You're just talking about this forum, but then you're blissfully ignoring the bias that goes on in every other platform such as the Discord, Reddit, Steam Forums, etc then. Which is cherry picking and unfair to say, especially since BHVR reads stuff from those places too. This forum doesn't exist in a vacuum.
I dont know man, I dont recall anybody asking actively for a ruin nerf anywhere, its just something that came out of nowhere that needed to eventually happen, Reddit became a massive killer circlejerk after the ruin change, same with steam, and lets not talk about the forums with their daily posts about how much the devs hate killers.
of all the places you mentioned the only one that is truly a survivor circlejerk is Discord, and that is because "certain" dev cant stand a bit of criticism.
lmao, again with unbreakable? The perk that can be countered just by picking up survivors? And lets not talk about dead hard, the most easy to bait perk in the game
-
I cant really think of any killer that needs a nerf, at most there are some add-ons that should get a slight, but besides that, its good

It has nothing to do with a single nerf to a perk at all. It also isn't "now" slanted, it always has been.
Ah, yes, the doctor rework, such a survivor slanted change.
-
Just a few years ago I was a huge fan of BFI, that game made me uninstall it at least 5 times.

@Mattie_MayhemOG said:
Happy people are busy playing the game. People come to the forum to complain. Thus slot more killer mains here because the game is currently slanted towards the survivor side.
You people still have this mentality? A single nerf to a perk and now the game is "slanted towards the survivors side"?

Did we not read the same developer notes or something? I don't know about you, but that had survivor bias written all over it and that's not disputable. It's there for everyone to see.
Also, I don't know if you saw the DBD Discord the day that announcement was... announced, but it made the killer's who are clearly upset and disillusioned with BHVR's decisions on this forum look like butterflies and rainbows in comparison.
The dev notes dont represent the opinion of the users of the forum, you dummy
-
@[Deleted User] said:
How about we tone survivors down and rebalance maps instead considering exit gates being opened in an average of 6~7 minutes isn't healthy for either side.
Seriously, I don't know what your fetish is for hating on killers the past couple weeks, but you need to stop confusing "bias" with "balance" because at the rate, I find it very difficult to even take you seriously.
Lmao, this forum has a fetish with hating survivors and the devs, not the other way around.
