  • as i was so thoughtfully told a thousand times git gud

  • lets make it 16 and no suicide on hook

  • I'll be a one man human centipede if that happens

  • You aren't forced to do them

  • I feel like I need to burn through all my stuff on freddy incase he's ruined. I'm gonna love the salt and it's just in time for the icy season.

  • That is a lot closer than the few games I just played to see if things changed. Back to inverting my pecker with my thumb.

  • I know different people do different things but how about less cosmetics and more function. Can't sell as many hats if there aren't people to buy em kind of thing.

  • Well you gotta just do you man. Enjoy yourself. Want a 4k then play hard. Don't want to play hard then just have some fun. I had a lot of fun just trying to keep the middle gen in lerys once. They wanted it bad and I didn't have much of a reason to let them finish it. It was a bummer when they gave up. Make your own objectives.

  • Knowing the perks as a solo queue would help an awful lot.

If you can't get away after you've been hooked, that's your problem. It's not tunneling when you're so bad you can't get away after first hook.

So it would be my fault for being hook farmed? Mine those rocks in your head for diamonds buddy I bet they've been there long enough to create them.

  • Regularly play with someone far less versed in the game than I. I make plays that wind up a waste because their inexperience hasn't taught them what to do. We aren't on comms. The other night a Nurse hooked a david in the midwich basement after I broke the nearest hook. My buddy goes does right after that near said broken hook. I missed the pallet save but baited a missed swing at me then one seemingly of frustration after a small pause. If he had struggled he could have gotten free but did not. I could have gotten David off and out sooner if i didn't watch to see if my buddy was struggling. SWF became a slight hindrance. Against my better judgement I'll risk my own butt to give my buddy a chance only to watch him creep around and not help the other people because idk. He'll work on the badham school basement gen while one other is hooked and the last is in a chase injured. Being in a group is far from always an advantage.

If I see people really trying to save their buddy when I'm killer I know I can take advantage of the increased desire to help if I'm being outplayed. I usually catch flak for it but I explain you guys were running the table and I saw how eager you were to help each other and I needed the leg up. I'm sorry it came to that but I tried playing nice at first. They seem to understand more often than not.

Whichever side you play I think it requires an adjustment in how you approach gaming them. I think one way to help solo queue players may be to let them see what perks the others are running. Perhaps solo queue could just get a lesser kindred where it won't show the killers location within the radius and then try to balance around that. Perhaps when a killer is facing a group and some solo queue make the more experienced of the group if there is a disparity more likely to be the obsession and give them a lesser rancor reveal without the exposed/mori at the end.

This game is a lot of fun and deserves to have these things thought about.

  • I'd rather nothing else was updated. It hard to play when things freeze up because i hit someone around the same time a gen is finished. I don't feel safe bringing addons as killer anymore unless I bring an offering to an older map set. Now it's brown adds and a yellow if i feel lucky.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

Your build gave me diarrhea. I do not pity you.

i bet you are a nice fella outside the game and forums

  • more simply put kindred only helps you unless you are the one hooked

It takes a bit of time to pick up a survivor. It follows that dropping a survivor would also take a bit of time

You could just let them roll off of your shoulder while you keep going. Instead they get dropped almost gently. Why would the killer baby them this way. Dropping them shouldn't have a delay in movement.

  • Lets all hard tunnel people who bring flashlights. Then the survivors will cry about it and maybe something will improve. Killers will probably get a nerf but nothing else seems to work.

  • Enough dumb dumbs will self care around 1 or 2 teammates as it is. That'd make it worse.

  • but they allow nvidia freestyle so they don't have to. Never mind the changes you can make should at times be thought of as cheating with how drastically it can improve how well you can make out things at distance or people barely hiding. I want to play the way it is intended but the more I see how much better off others have it the more I'm leaning towards doing it anyway. Why shouldn't I when I have to at minimum enable instant replay incase I find another cheater since the anti cheat is garbage and without highly damning video it seems nothing gets done. Tell someone that clearly cheated you recorded it and you are just laughed at. They seem to have been doing it awhile to have gotten so brazen about it.

  • I used to play on high with minimal troubles now I play on low for a few games and leave frustrated from losing track because I didn't know a gen would pop when i tried to hit someone a ways away. I can't even see the gen and it freezes up for a bit. Long enough I lose track of a survivor I just hit costing me pressure. The only way to try to make up for it is slugging when I find pair or more in one spot. Exceed every possible suggested spec by multiple hardware generations, play on low with game ruining problems. Been a PC gamer for a long time. Everything is current and nothing running in the background to sap my performance. Forum rules prohibit me from expressing my honest thoughts in my own words.

  • late game and early game tunneling/camping/slugging are different.

give people a chance. i had more for this but i suddenly g2g

  • it's not that strong. any decent group will realize it and take care of it. then you've wasted a couple of slots.

  • don't wait until you are in a chase to drop snares. Play those snares kind of like trapper or hag. Fake teleport to a gen a few times when you know they are on it until you think they are gonna call your bluff. Don't knock the springwood slasher or he'll move you up the list.

  • three gen. know when to drop a chase. try to influence them into going where you want. Make up where you lack with perks dont make your strengths stronger. Slightly outmatched choosing to save the problem for later while tricking them into running for a safe spot to waste their time instead of them wasting yours can get you the 4k. Go ahead and pick off the weaker ones just don't pick them off one at a time or gens will fly. If they won't heal and just go right back to gens slug one or two of em.

This game is about changing priorities and adapting. Figuring out who has what perks if you can and working around it.

  • At least feeling like I had a chance to have an expected game. I get the need to slug to slow things down a bit or the need to camp someone a bit to draw the others out when the game is getting away from you. People that do these things as standard practice should only face 4 man toxic blendette squads. If I run across you a few times and don't get away its on me. Hook me and I never leave your sight until I'm dead makes you trash.

  • Imagine being chased and downed by a good spirit and basement camped by a bubba with agitation. I'd just like a challenge to another round or best of three button. Even if the other match or two didn't award points for those repeating a trial it could be a nice counter to the ur mad cuz ur ded. Give people another chance to see how someone plays and show them they aren't a gift to Nea.

The greater question is why is it taking ages for the devs to release a decent disconnection penalty... I'm getting fed up of rage quitters.

As an Xbox player, I used to T bag a lot, just because everyone was doing it and I would see it as a fun thing. I didn't even know that it was called t bagging or that it was offensive for a long time. So maybe there are many more gullible folk like me on console. T bagging as a concept only became clear to me after reaching red ranks and taking Yeh game a bit more seriously. Obviously I don't t bag anymore.

If they tunnel a person out right away and camp and you get to wait at the exit for them I feel it is your duty to t bag. Bubba on haddonfield 2 days ago. Gets the console players on the hook and never leaves kindred aura range but we get em out of there. Gets my buddy on the hook and still in range OFC although I nearby waiting a sec so I can sprint after I get him down, I figure bubba would really want me because I ran him around the house a few times, buddy quits trying to struggle. OK it's personal now. I finish the last gen as he's coming up to me and run from that chainsaw like it was real. Lead him back to the house I ran him around before and he goes after someone he's caught before and gives them their last hook. I ran to the closed gate, ran off when I saw him and got him to think I was making a play for the open gate before doubling back. I get that sucker open and just wait. T bagging the whole time until he was in the exit chainsaw raised. If he made 1 attempt at NOT camping I'd have just left. Between screens I hope I didn't t bag some n00b. Green rank all lvl 3 purple perks.

Most of the time it isn't warranted but sometimes if they don't make an attempt at being decent they earned it. Without chat across all platforms you've gotta let them know that from the other side of things they're just being awful. Sucks I have to waste a slot to know someone is camping but I really should more often.

Sounds like the same entitlement that small pp users have. Sometimes, everything would be better if they just admit it's easy, but no. Too many people try to justify themselves. "I'm the killer, I need kills, please ignore that it's my job to try and kill everyone and tunneling is the opposite of that."

It reminds me of the old Scott Jund video about player entitlement. Dude blasted him for "camping" and "tunneling" then proceeded to actually do exactly that when he played killer.

I never start with a meta build but when I'd have been able to make a difference if I had a certain perk I am more likely to use it the next game. Usually start with calm, lithe, we'll make it, pharmacy/wake up By the 5th or 6th game I'm back to the dull meta just so I can be useful. It's a problem on both sides.

  • This can't be serious.

  • I'd "congrats on yer first 4k" postgame and leave

  • Sorry that happened but it seems clear cut to me. You went for the lazy whale option.

  • gen rush is a problem with your choice making. YOU give them something else to do. YOU are the reason YOU get rushed. Start slugging and learn when to break away from a chase.

  • I like it except for the angel part. Make it the grim reaper.

  • I picked up trapper because I wanted something different and although I complete archive challenges for catching 4 and 5 people in a bear trap I have ZERO in my achievement list. Till some things get fixed I'm not getting more dlc. Make the game work then add content . . .

  • despite exceeding the recommended requirements on all fronts by at least 2 generations of releases I can't keep stable framerates on low all of the time. Chasing in a jungle gym and a gen gets finished I abandon chase a couple seconds later when I am able because I ran into a wall when I couldn't see anything or tried to guess where they turned so when my screen and inputs synced back up I'd still have a shot but most of the time I've lost enough ground it isn't worth trying when it happens.

Feels like a penalty for letting them finish a gen. They finished a gen lose a turn.

In my over 2 years of playing this game I have never seen a single survivor ever give themselves up to get killed to help a struggling killer in my or other friends games. If this really happened you got extremely lucky.

I wasn't even playing anymore. the most i could have done was to find one if i was lucky and camp. They stayed behind while I was far away. I've been fairly caught in the past and the killer tried to drop me off in the gate and I kept crawling away from leaving. post game I told him I didn't deserve the win I played poorly. It does happen now and then and it is very rare.

  • I love complaints about when things happen as if the timing of when you finish a gen or open the gates don't matter because you got it done. Someone gets downed and you are opening the gate then you stop and let them get hooked before you finish. Somebody finish gen 5 while a healthy person is being chased then they might eat noed. getting things done is great but you have to consider what'll happen if you finish it before or after other things going on.

  • I might like them but I get keeping them special. The early adopters that gave life to this game while it filled in some more content before it hit it's stride deserve something for it. I wouldn't mind them offering things pretty similar but it shouldn't just be a pallet swap.

  • juking and objects?

Survivors: Don't tunnel/camp/slug, Use Spirit/Freddy, or use Pop/NoED/Ruin/Undying and other perks, down us too fast, its annoying and toxic. Also give the last survivor hatch.

Also survivors: T-bag, abuse DS/BT/Unbreakable and other perks, clicky clicky flashlight, bring in keys, DC all the time, don't stop doing gens if they're going to fast, don't give the killer a kill for a bad game.

Its either play to win and deal with toxic, or try to be nice and still deal with toxic. At least playing to win gives me more BP. The double standards are real. If the game is going to get better on that front there needs to be some mass agreement between the two sides, and that's probably never going to happen.

I, no foolin, had two of them give me a kill last night. Been testing killers I invested in but don't use seeing what perks work with how it seems fun to play them and see what I can do without working up a sweat. I can take the loss to pause a moment and consider my actions. My pet peeve is people hanging on until the very end and I'm thinking JFC! GO!!!! I'm not chasing you so you can teabag and deny the hit and they stayed.

Cheers fellas! Small sacrifices like that make me think I'll get people that want to play not torment the killer and keeps me thinking it's a person on the other end what'd they do that for instead of ok you're done here. I'd wager it takes about 125 hours of play to find people like that. Thanks again guys!

  • The only thing I think they could do that wouldn't generate hate is giving away BP's or cosmetics. Anything else is change and a lot of people don't like to have to readapt.

  • Tunneling and camping is crappy but it can be the best option. If a group seems a little eager to save people and you aren't doing well I think it's fine to exploit that for protection hits, hook trades, baiting a heal from dying. It sucks to be the one being used but it should be expected that the killer do whatever dirty trick they can to kill. It seems dirty but it's a psychological play sometimes. Tunnel camp slug with 5 gens left shouldn't happen but some people suck and others may need a feel good match after being wrecked by a squad.

  • all you can do is blitz gens but in this instance I would encourage camping the generally safe point in the exit area and tbagging if given the chance. Mind blood warden and Deathslinger but most importantly don't feed the trolls.

  • I like to make gutsy hiding choices when I don't think a chase is wise. I tend to play with half a tater for a buddy without coms. I tend to run calm and iron and I don't care for ring around the rosy as much as chaining good spots together. It's just more interesting for me. As such Doc isn't bad but I'm pretty sure I'm the weirdo here. Lately I start out like that with lithe or sprint and BT or we'll make it then mad at people playing to win and not for fun I got back to the meta.

I'd really like to be able to set up perk packs

  • Depends on a lot. How many gens are left, are others hurt, what are you running for perks and adds. One could be your obsession so it could make a difference. If I can injure one and switch real fast I'd rather. Leaves one spooked and the other in a chase. Might be a 1 shot later or someone is wasting time healing.

That's a lot of the fun for me in this game but also the source of frustration. Everything can change so much depends on them, you, the map, perks, adds, choices before. it is a wonderful curse.

  • Fringe.

Could have a third school map but this time college.

The Porcupine Man could make a fun killer. He's a genetic experiment designed to be an evolution of man. All the same smarts but with some enhancements. There are two versions one can fly the other cannot. Could work in a pallet hop like legions slide if TPM isn't fully evolved. He could be able to hop up to higher level areas without a railing. If you want to tail him to sneak to hook under his radar he has spines on his back you could be injured by if he knows and tricks you into getting closer than you should. If only partially evolved he needs massive amounts of energy in food and will seek out fat to power its evolution. It could allow an Oni like mechanic to gain more abilities but stays like meyers EW2. TPM transformation is painful and he is violent. He would be suffering while causing suffering and that sounds like the entity could enjoy it. With claws and wings maybe he could be waiting on a wall someplace ready to drop down on someone. I'd think it should be an instadown but it would feel OP. Maybe a sneaky stealthy hit without the speed boost to compensate for waiting up there.

    Survivor(s)

    Olivia Dunham.

Would be a good way to get a female law enforcement character. She was experimented on a little as a child. It has given her some abilities and the full depth of could be limitless. Some telekinetic control could give a perk to remotely drop a nearby pallet. She can take control of other peoples actions possibly lending them some small speed boost while doing something with a progress bar and skill checks. It could go to the person she saved most recently. I would suggest sacrificing gen speed for healing speed as it would be nearest cannon. She has other abilities as well but with the show it is known there is at least one other universe so any adjustments can be chalked up to that.

You could really pull a lot from this show and considering how it ended but was something people were fond enough of to get an extra partial season to wrap up it has some popularity. Peter Bishop could be another survivor but I'm having trouble crafting possible perks for him. Walter Bishop a mad scientist type could be snuck into the lore. He's made his own universe and can interrogate dead people among many other things and I think there is a lot to work with.

  • I did that to a plague at the swamp a couple weeks back. It was intended to be my last game. Didn't get to finish but I consider it a win.

  • I went through usual process but I wanted it known so maybe eventually they'll get tired of seeing the reports and posts about it and try to do something besides EAC. Thank you :)

  • started to finally learn trapper today. I haven't laughed so much in a while. also budged my way to rank 7 from 11 doing it.

  • When I'm playing and lose track and get someone out of the game early and it snowballs I'll let them get free and check some stuff on the other side of the map before looking around for them if they aren't on the last gen.
