Honestly the only problem I have with this update is the devs most likely only changed franklins because of vaccines. And while it’s gonna do a lot better against flashlights, toolboxes and medkits, it’s now uselessness against keys ain’t ok.

Pay 2 Win Bubba totally counters keys.
Never change sluzzy

I loved the DS nerf but honestly with the restrictions it now has I wouldn’t see a problem with it working twice
-
I personally feel devour hope takes the number 1 spot. It doesn’t always work but when it does I think it has more of an impact than even pre nerf ruin undying
-
Since nobody else has done it yet
-
Even if there’s a bot to take over. Unless the person who dc’d had the brain of a potato a bot isn’t gonna be able to replace them well enough.

wait until this person finds out about nurse, similar mobility to blight except literally goes through every object lol
Sluzzy is a nurse main. And if stats are to be believed he’s a good one too. Last I heard he had 10,000 successful blink hits

He was not weak pre-buff period it's just people did not know how to use him, but not at least like in his early days when he actually was weak. He is one of the most annoying killers to face vs now.
While I wouldn’t call pre rework wraith the worst killer it was pretty accepted that if you wanted to do well against survivors who aren’t potatoes you needed to run windstorm because with his old base speed he just couldn’t keep up. So he was completely dependent on windstorm almost to the same level that trapper is dependent on bags
-
Yes and no. On the rare occasion where I decide to run an actual sweat squad and take off my addiction perks for meta perks. Those killers are usually the only ones who can actually give me a run for my money. However that’s like 10% of the games I play and getting bodied by a meta killer when I’m running autodidact is rough
-
Like many people a lot smarter than me have said the issue with spirit isn’t anything on her side. Sure stridor spirit is annoying but it is what it is. The issue with spirit is how little there is for the survivors to work with since there’s no realistically consistent visual or audio cues she’s using her power In a chase

I have a bit of a theory about the killers' names origins. I believe that the survivors actually named them. So for example: trapper (trap), the legion (because they're more than one)
That works for everyone except Michael but that’s also really cool so let’s go with it

The point I recognize as valid is that they don't happen to like the map. That's their prerogative.
The point that I'm tired of is "I don't like something so no one else should have it, just get rid of it".
I can understand that. Personally I’m fine with the existence of haddonfield (prolly cuz I main wraith but whatever) only thing I would say is that in a game that has such a massive difference in how balanced maps are. Being able to choose a map through an offering shouldn’t be a thing

Sigh
Sure it’s tedious but they got a point.

They are talking about Wraith having a longer lunge then before.
NOT a shorter one!
What I mean is in the recent bugfix update they fixed the lunging issue. So by fixing that bug his lunge got better so even though it was just fixing a problem to the people who didn’t know there was an issue it would look like a buff

That's not what everyone is referring too.
As people are saying his most recent change buffed his lunge which there is no evidence of such a change.
People may be referring to the lunge bug. There was a problem for a few weeks after the windstorm buff that made the uncloak speed boost slower to build up so the lunge was trash for awhile. It was after the bug patch that it got fixed and also is when these wraith complaints started. If you need proof I can find a thread where Mandy confirmed the bug existed

I accept these possibilities to a point, yes. I definitely AM seeing him more. I honestly don't know why he wasn't popular before, I mean how much more does a killer need than super speed and invisibility? I think, from what I've gathered (since SO many people complain about "M1") that over time, as new killers were added to the old original ones, gameplay became more complex and interesting so perhaps the ones like Wraith were seen as dull. Or maybe people got sick of him, I don't know how long it was before the more complicated and / or licensed characters came along.
So I mean I can understand if people just got bored of him or whatever. I see complaints about Trapper as well (which also confounds me, as I've seen some DEEEEVIOUS Trappers out there whose skill I can't help but respect). Meanwhile Billy seems beloved, if supposedly ignored.
Wraith, though? I mean it seems like he'd be the go-to killer for easy 4Ks. Just speed all over the place while invisible and kill everybody. If it wasn't that easy, that tells me that he DID change to become much more cheap. That makes me believe that there WAS a more pronounced pause before his uncloak and his lunge. Plus, before the buff, I never saw a Wraith that could cloak and uncloak without the bell, which is basically his only reliable tell.
So I mean yeah, your observation has merit, but as I said to the other user, I can only report what I've experienced. I do hope you're right in that he's just the flavor of the month and I'll stop seeing him so much though. I started playing at kind of a bad time - within a few days of the All-Kill chapter - so my first month of play was Trickster 15 times a day. He's forever ruined for me (not that I like anything about him to begin with), I'd like it if The Wraith didn't go down the same path. I don't care if I win or lose, I honestly don't. I just want matches to feel fair. And now, when I face the Wraith, they don't.
Wraith wasn’t popular before due to being dependent on windstorm outside of meme builds. This usually meant he only had 1 addon slot open so there wasn’t really much you could do in terms of exciting new combos.

Ghostface. The inconsistency of the reveal mechanic makes me want to pull my hair out.

@gilthadas said:
It almost always means the killer was toxic, your denial doesn't change that. If people don't like their teammates they are much more prone to kill themselves on hook. Well they can do that too with killers, but that's beside the point.
Nice bait

@MadLordJack said:
People are kind of idiots about Wraith now. Everything they're complaining about already existed. Wraith already had the ability to constantly catch you out of position, he already got free hits at unsafe pallets if you didn't predrop them, it's just now he also has map mobility so that all of those tactics actually work better.
Thank Christ someone here said it

I don't think any of them are able to feel remorse at this point, it really seems like the Entity shattered all of their minds in its realm (excluding the easily-to-manipulate ones, like Demo and Bubba). Except for the already evil ones, like Doc, Clown, Trickster, GF, Myers. PH is only there because he wants to be there so he doesn't count.
I feel like there are some who try to hold back but fail to, but I dunno.
I don’t mean holding back due to remorse. I mean it more like do they drag trials out to make survivors suffer as much as possible

Only when the killers sacrifice to it. Doctor wanted to torture and kill the survivors all by himself.
So basically he tried to pull a Myers but he wasn’t cool enough?
-
@DoritoHead said:
Doctor didn't want to kill for the entity, he wanted to torture the survivors without restraint. So the entity punished him by restraining him in the very headgear he'd put his victims in.
Why would the entity be against that doesn’t it thrive off of the survivors despair?

Will point out, snares and dream plates only work if the survivor is asleep.
i mean they’re still screaming when it happens it just doesn’t look like they slow down
-
@Phasmamain said:
His snares aren’t really great tbh. Even if they work they’ll just predrop the pallet and hold W since Freddy can’t counter that.
Oh yeah his snares are pretty bad outside of forcing a mid vault or something I just don’t know if it was my eyes playing tricks on me or what
-
Nice try. I will not let your dream of killing the killer be a reality
-
People don’t like accepting when them losing is their own fault so they’ll latch onto anything if it means their ego is protected. It’s the same reason killers (including me lol) complain about swf
-
Well backwater swamp is poisonous to the game’s health if that counts
-
The rng reliance to get value out of zombies combined with scuffed A.I I feel holds him back. With a few tweaks and some polishing I see him making it to A
-
@M1MASTER said:
Because Billy is free while for Bubba, Blight, Oni you have to pay for them, so BHVR wanted him gutted.
The devs haven't even bothered to fix his janky ass animations in almost a year despite them saying they were gonna do that months ago.

Am i right, @McLean?
Raises the question of why they made wraith the best stealth/ambush killer
-
@Clevite said:
But how do you know for sure who screamed? I thought it was to let other survivors know it was in play
Unless it’s multiple people playing the same survivor the screams are pretty easy to tell the difference between. And in cases where it is the same survivor I play it the same way I did before the buff and go for the survivor who seems a lot more immersed/skittish
-
Without a doubt yes
-
The thing I find most hilarious about this is this is tier 2. Tf is tier 4 gonna be? “Down 4 survivors while undetectable while using the perk Dark Devotion. Do this two times in a single trial”
-
He needs some tweaking but that’s what a PTB is for. But with some buffs I see him being a great addition to the roster
-
Honestly probably just boredom. I mean for the past six Months the only truly new stuff killers got were the twins who are so unfun I genuinely can’t play them late at night because I start falling asleep. And the trickster who while being a lot more fun than twins is also a lot weaker. Combine that with the fact we haven’t gotten a truly new map in a long time and it’s no surprise. Honestly they’ll probably all be back once 5.0.0 goes live
-
I don’t think it’s the charm that isn’t ready. It’s immature man child’s or actual children that aren’t ready to be part of an online community

Okay, serious question:
What the heck is Burger King Meyers, and why have I never heard of this before?
I'm legitimately picturing Meyers running around with the BK mask on:
How would this not be awesome?
---
Edit:
I googled. Wow, some people are masochists
Burger King Myers is Myers with tombstone and either scratched or vanity mirror. Basically making yourself as slow as possible thus Burger King Myers meaning Myers got fat
-
I think A tier would be better than S tier. With spirit and nurse being in that tier I feel like it means for a killer to be S tier they need to lack counterplay and we don’t need any more killers like that

More powerful, sure, but to me the term "OP" implies massively imbalanced. I just don't want that.
I think they mean OP in the sense that if you couldn’t get rid of them by cleansing a totem they’d be game breaking
-
Wraith with coulrophobia, nurses, sloppy and pop with beast soot and silent bell
-
I just chose this due to lack of options. I am fine with it working if you try and mess with the trappers traps but I think you would have to be a lot more careful with the pig since there’s a lot going on there
-
I think this is one of the few things the forums agrees upon.
-
I don’t play much twins or slinger but I absolutely love the idea of demo crawling on all 4s. Undetectable is great and all but it doesn’t do much when he sounds like a god damn T. rex

@Venzhas said:
Keys arent a problem. Comparing it to moris is just ridiculous
As killer im fine with keys, its happens like 1 game on 10, and when, well just bring Franklins and.. git gud.
I personally would say there’s definitely validity to comparing keys to mori’s. Both of them have/had the potential to end the game without actually completing your objective. Now old moris were without a doubt stronger than keys but it doesn’t change the fact that keys in their current state are extremely unhealthy

Alright your forum posting privileges are revoked

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t this mean this dude would have to have spent 11-12 hours every day for the past 5 years playing dbd?

Honestly it’d probably be a more interesting question to ask what’s the second best killer obsession perk
-
Mori reworks, trapper buff, console optimization

Doesn't Acidic Vial only apply Mangled while the survivors are intoxicated?
If not, I should actually be running that add-on.
I’m pretty sure it used to be 30 seconds but then it got buffed to last until healing. Don’t quote me on that tho
