Bubba should be able to eat survivors. I'm kidding, but he feels amazing, he's balanced. Were you around with old leatherface? He was bad, and two of his chili addons didn't work. I genuinely think he's a perfect spot, loops in general are always an issue with Killers.

yeah I’m aware of what old bubba was like and I feel like he’s gotten what he deserves. I’m mostly just throwing out an idea I had with friends to see what people think

Reverse it. Longer pallet break the more tokens he has. That way ih je still has tokens it takes longer and if he has no tokens then obviously he cant use his chainsaw as quickly... good idea tho

yeah the idea definitely needs ironing out but I’m glad you like the concept

  • @Northener1907 said:

Bubba is fine. If you are feeding him with pallets, you will have so much dead zones and you will lose. Use windows, trees and other objects to get him maddnes. Use pallets when you really need or for stun him.

Bubba is balanced killer, maybe so strong camper but how many Bubba seriously camping?

I know balancing killers around perks is really not smiled upon but the synergy he has with bamboozle makes it so that bubba can easily create situations where making the survivor feed you the pallets the only option besides dying

    Sure!

I do change my build a lot but my main build at the moment consists of

    BBQ (Really only for bp)

    Oppression (Combines well with pop)

    Pop

Geaehead (Fun if not weak perk but I like the info it gives)

Gearhead on clown. Have you no shame using meta perks and meta killers for a year and half? SMH

  • Can I ask what your go to build for clown is?

  • If we’re talking in terms of best case scenario it’s gotta be devour hope. Sure if you’re lucky ruin can stay up all game but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll win. But if the survivors can’t find devour it basically does since once you get those 5 tokens it’s 1 shot instantaneous death. Sure most of the time devour hope won’t get to that point but that can be said for any hex perk

  • It’s gotta be a good nurse for me. I mean don’t get me wrong I respect the effort they put into learning her but it doesn’t make getting thrashed any less miserable.

  • @Rich2015 said:

    Hopefully they will nerf him

He basically has a free hit

To be fair isn’t that stealth killers gimmick?

  • Just to add this I believe it’s a rule put in place by the original creator of Michael Myers that if anyone uses his character any time he “dies” it has to be extremely vague/leave reasonable room to say that Michael survived. Sorta to go along with the “you can’t kill evil” idea

  • Hillbilly for me. I don’t often get tilted when I’m playing this game but when I do it’s when I’m playing hillbilly.

  • If they brought it back they would have to make him a 4.4 to account for the absolute dump truck he’d be hauling

  • Probably doctor for me, even among the killers who do what they do because they enjoy it doctor stands out. Unlike Michael or ghostface who enjoy just stalking and making their victims paranoid before killing them doctor doesn’t care at all about subtlety. Instead doctor’s shtick is that he makes his victims deaths as painful as physically possible and he enjoys every second of it.

I’ll say for teammates I’d want bill, David, and Dwight

  • @JimboMason said:

full team of urban evasion players who did nothing but hide, and a legion with mend time addons, blood echo, thanat, I was malding for the next hour

Forget an hour at that point it’d be enough dbd for the day for me

  • a tip I’ll give is you will wanna keep at least 1 trap on hand when you decide to start chasing. Having the ability to shut down or fake shutting down a strong loop during the chase puts trappers chase potential much higher than when he’s just empty handed

  • It’s gotta be the doctor for me. I always wondered if he was always rotten or if it was just a case of people reinforcing his bad habits. But after reading his rift dude is straight up evil to his core

  • Two reasons. First is that nurse takes a lot more practice than spirit so if one kicks your ass it’s not just a case of the killer having a good headset. Second is that a good nurse is rather rare so games where you get multiple nurses in a row almost never happen where spirit is commonplace at red ranks.

perks are not balance, and why would a perk deter you when you can just not use it

Positive reinforcement is better than negative reinforcement. And making perks is a hell of a lot easier than changing the way people decide to play a game

  • Blight, can be countered if you know what you’re doing but is still very capable of beating even 4 man swf consistently

  • I’m nerfing dead hard and buffing trapper so he has the bag base kit

  • Autodidact +solidarity can be wild if the killer has sloppy butcher

I was at full struggle when he went down the stairs, somehow he was able to hook me. But thx for the reply anyways. :)

Did you get the chance to see his perks or were you dead before the end of the match

  • There’s a certain point where when the killer hits the button to start the hooking animation the killer will kinda get sucked into the right spot and then the animation will play. That second hesitation caused by the animation preparing could’ve caused it to look like you wiggled enough even tho the hooking process had already started

  • For wraith a fun meme build I’ve been using is coulrophobia, nurses, sloppy, pop. With beast soot and silent bell.

  • @Nameless said:

Am I missing something or wasn't he always this fast after uncloaking? The only change they made to him was making him faster while cloaked?

They also increased his post cloak speed by .25 seconds. To make up for the uncloak slowdown caused by windstorm being basekit

  • If a survivor gives me their item and stares up at me I honestly struggle to bring myself to push that attack button. Especially since I don’t really struggle with devious points either.

S tier is more for inhuman and supernatural, huntress is more of a joke, bubba would get slapped by every S tier and probably every a tier as well. The one candidate for S tier is wraith mainly because he's got massive arms and very tall, he just doesn't have anything like the others in S

You forget before wraith became wraith he was strong enough to rip a dudes spine out skull first

  • @BigBall said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2182757#Comment_2182757

that is true actually its in his lore, hmm however look at him now tho he's older, he's weak he's got every disadvantage except size.

Well that’s true but you seen his legs dude? Those things are like ######### tree trunks in those pants. Also maybe move hag up. The hag probably has enough diseases to be classified as a bio weapon. Feel like she’d breath on you and you’d die

  • @BigBall said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2182749#Comment_2182749

absolutely massive is an understatement, he's like gigatron, but that's also his weakness

Well I could be mistaken but I believe he used to be a football player. So he’s probably more than familiar with how to make his weight an advantage

  • Depends, are we talking about their strength inside the entity’s realm or without the entity. Under the influence of the entity all of them would curb stomp us since they’re roided up on demon crab essence. Just their own strength tho I mostly agree. Although I would put clown in “you’re gonna lose” just cuz the dude is absolutely massive

With regards to one hook mori, it saved at most 2/3 hooks per survivor, a key can reduce the need to complete all 5 gens. Hence why I said it was much more powerful. You could do essentially nothing with keys wait for your team to die then even if the killer closes the hatch just pop it right back open.

Either way as for time saved with keys it's 80 seconds per gen per 5 gens. Of 400 seconds in the best possible case. Prove thyself I believe is 45 percent reduction of each gen so 36 sec9nds per gen saved times 5 gens so 180 seconds saved. Now clearly 400 its more than 180 but both still enf the game early its just a matter of how much so.

As a side note In the worst case the key may only save the time of running to an already open exit gate just a few seconds away from the hatch in that case

As for preventing other perks you can do that to keys as well. You have Franklin's demise, not killing the survivor to trigger hatch spawn until you know where the remains survivor with the key is, offering so you know where hatch is etc.

As a fun little aside I suppose you don't ever want the devs to do anything to swf communications becuase there is no killer equivalent right? You'd be stuck with a 0/1 forever that wouldn't be right

As that other guy mentioned you greatly underestimate the power of skipping a hook state. Forget the ebony even if you bring a green mori if you kill one survivor extremely early you’ve basically won unless you throw the game. 3 survivors means gens take a lot longer and survivors struggle to spread. On top of that with 3 people if you hook someone and then find someone else there is then absolutely nobody working on gens where at 4 there would probably be one. I want to make this clear I firmly believe both old moris and keys are/were game breaking and unfair. And on the idea of countering with franklins all a survivor has to do to counter that is push the drop item button. And if you think finding an immersed dude with a key is as simple as just not letting the hatch spawn I genuinely question how long you’ve been playing this game. And even if I control where hatch spawns so what? If I camp hatch they do the gens/open the gates. If I patrol gens/gates they open the hatch

  • @wxnickxw said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2182338#Comment_2182338

Really? I woukd have said keys are much much more powerful than moris but I supposed ultimately they do both involve saving time on objectives, moris the trip to the hook, keys the time to do gen(s).

but if it's just a matter of time does that mean if a perk like prove thyself (which also reduces time for gens) or other similar perks were nerfed then your no longer going to ask for keysbto be nerfed, becuase then we'd be back to a 2/1 situation, or do you have another excuse?

I don’t mean moris as they are now. I mean moris before. Keys as they are now are still close to the same level of unfairness as getting instantly mori’d after only getting hooked once. And the difference with perks like prove thyself is the killer can stop it. Meanwhile when it comes to hatch if the survivor has a key and knows where the hatch is the killer can’t really do much to stop it.

And just to elaborate there’s a difference between ending the game early and just having perks to speed up your progress. Comparing prove thyself to keys is the same as comparing first hook mori’s to Save the best for last.

  • I’d love to see a buff that gives a regression bonus based on how many gens you hit with it

I asked if survivors would ask for keys to be chabged if killers would ask for camping to be changed to be unviable. The discussion barley even touched on hiw to change keys becuase killer mains were so opposed to the idea if loosing camping. Would you give up camping if it meant keys would be nerfed hard?(I liked the idea of it taking uninterrupted time to open kind-of like a totem but any suggestion's welcome)

Camping and keys aren’t on the same tier. Moris and keys were on the same tier as they both ended the game early. Moris got nerfed into basically just being for show and now keys are op in their current state.

  • I’m gonna say fnaf because if it actually happened this community would implode and it’d be hilarious

  • I’ve started dodging when I see survivors with names in Russian. I’ve never been in a match with one so I don’t know what they’d do to me but I don’t wanna find out

  • Because it’s the king of its genre and we are all addicted to the concept of this game

Well the way I would change it is to have a downside to those addons because of how strong it is. Maybe like a decrease in movement or unblocking speed.

But ultimately I'm not too sure. I don't play killer at all which is why I was hesitant to give my opinions it.

I can respect that you don’t wanna go too deep on stuff that you aren’t really experienced with. I will say though I think anything that makes an uncloak take longer could be dangerous since there’s that lightburn mechanic

  • @dspaceman20 said:

Well I think when talking about things it's best to ask an expert.

    @Boss

I personally think all seeing blood and silent bell should be changed but I'm a survivor main. and since your a wraith main you would have more expert knowledge then me. Do you think all seeing blood and silent bell should be changed?

I’m open to there being a debate/discussion about whether it needs to be tweaked but like I mentioned in the caption the primary reason I made this is to hear the ideas of people like yourself who think the addons need to change, and more specifically I’m really curious as to what you’d do to them

  • @IWasLeft2Die said:

I know you were asking for people who wants changes, but I honestly haven't seen lot of complaints about silent bell (maybe I just didn't see them?)

    Silent bell is totally fine

All seeing I could see a better arguement for changes but I do think if that changed he would need some buffs on other addons most likely

I’m personally fine with both addons for the most part although like you mentioned there’s an argument for all seeing. To be honest most silent bell complaints I’ve seen are salt but I’ve seen enough of them to think it was worth a mention

  • I’d like to see more blunt force based weapons like how the doctor can have a baseball bat and plague just smacks you with incense.

  • It’s gotta be clown for me, I just love both the laugh and how absolutely awful he can look when you mix his outfits

  • Yeah ok go ahead and log off you’re done for today

Or maybe because Lucky Break is a subpar niche perk which is overshadowed by other perks because the Developers don't want to shake up the meta for survivors. You get more of an impact out of literally every other perk which doesn't have a timer. Imo I'm not wanting to play the match with only 3 perks once Lucky Break runs out. That and the potential benefit of running the perk is outweighed by the negatives of the short timer.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2165916#Comment_2165916

People just complain about anything that has the potential to be meta changing and then in the same breath complain about how the meta never changes.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2165919#Comment_2165919

Personally I'd take shaking up the meta for survivors since the risk reward potential is crazy. Or made it just not 45 seconds since its just laughable.

Honestly I’m not a huge fan of perks that mess with early game as that’s already the killers weakest point. I feel the current state is alright but I wouldn’t be opposed to bumping each tier up by 5 just so that third tier has the potential to maybe pull a “gotcha” moment for a few seconds without letting the survivor completely escape

  • @th3 said:

45s makes it literally garbage. I can't believe people are upset about 45 seconds when goes by so fast. Unbelievable.

While I do agree with you personally (especially since I’m addicted to sloppy butcher) I think the complaint people mainly have is that the killers who have to commit to a chase early could potentially have all early game pressure negated by this perk. And especially against good survivors this could end the match before it even really starts.

  • I’m 100% a killer main and with the time nerf lucky break got I think it’ll be fine. Outside of a quick and quiet inner strength gimmick build you’ll only get 1 use out of it IF you get hit somewhere you can easily break LOS. And on top of that if the killer is wraith, legion, bubba, a pissed off oni, billy, etc. the perk won’t do too much. It’s a niche perk that once a trial will give you the chance to go ninja mode and escape a chase. And with a 45 second duration that one chance is all you’re gonna get. So I’m happy

  • Like glitchboi mentioned I like when horror tries to take advantage of the idea that daytime = safety and while obviously nobody with actual experience really is scared in this game anymore I respect what they’re doing. I will admit tho the way auras work on those maps could use some tweaking

  • I can definitely see why this map would be a turnoff for some people but I personally think this map does a much better job of capturing the vibe coldwind farm was going for. The feel of it is extremely similar to the Texas chainsaw massacre

  • the only change is that instead of being able to ninja vanish after getting stabbed two times a match you can now only realistically do it once. The perk is fine and if you get to use it early it can still be extremely powerful
