Gonna make a prediction
This 'doesn't count' because
"He used SWF/Keys"
"It was Pre-MMR/It's old"
"Survivors were stronger then"
And
"All the killers were just bad"
Take your pick, which is it gonna be
Pre-mmr streaks are pointless though. Pro Vengeance got a hell of a lot higher than a 50 winstreak as killer pre mmr too. But the reason Otz wasn't able to do this without changing the win condition and intentionally finishing the streak without mmr is fairly obvious. It is the very nature of it. All of these content creators are NOT capped as they imply they are which was obviously evidenced during Otz's 30 second no perk challenge. But to get a 50 winstreak, you literally have to cap your mmr.

its probably a depressed killer main crying in the basement from all the horror the survivors have inflicted upon killer mains
Please do not make fun of community members, it is against forum terms of service. It is important to be respectful.

I have hope that the game will make it, but you know, this anniversary is shaping up to be relatively lackluster, and Sadako couldn't bring them to the green, so they really need to pop off. I bet she would have turned things around, had they released her as a viable killer. She did a good job considering she is borderline unusable.
-
I play chill on my m1 killers, so I actually get relatively consistent chill survivors.
On my Leatherface, I do not care how sweaty they are. He is designed to handle it quite well and Rancor is absolutely broken. I digress, face camping is pretty relaxing regardless, so those high mmr games rarely feel too intense outside of getting the initial down as those survivors are EXTREMELY good at looping and force you to do the most uncomfortable chainsaw tricks to catch them.
-
Freddy was basically the first taste of Sadako that everyone got pre mmr, so they think he is much better than he really is.
-
I personally prefer playing against killers that have unique effects that force me as a survivor to adapt. No offense intended to any glorious survivor mains that are the cream of the crop of this wonderful community, but the game is kind of bland as a survivor, so I enjoy engaging with different mechanics. Chainhunt and reverse bear traps are my personal favorites, but Clown bottles help up the intensity as well.
-
Do not get me wrong, I was VERY shocked he uploaded that video too... Until I watched the first couple of minutes and realized what he was going for.
-
I do not believe you should get the save for free if the killer is right there. I have no idea why people feel entitled to that, either. Not that I am calling survivor mains entitled, no, they are great and respectful players who are amazing community members. I just feel that perhaps a save should be earned.
-
Well, overall, he is not particularly strong. However, he is one of the best killers that scales with your skill curve. If you put the time in, you should get results that are a lot better than what most m1 can achieve. He is very punishing to play, though.
If you like him, I would do it. If you are looking for a viable killer, I would look elsewhere.

I would not like it if my Freddy had the same MMR rating as Demogorgon
I know that feel, fam. It ruined Freddy for me. And tanking the mmr doesn't seem to be helping. No idea how many games I need to lose until it gives me normal survivors again.

I get to used the force on the survivors tho.
I also enjoy giving respectful survivor players that are great at the game the Ice Cube mean mug as a fatality. Wraith cannot do that, he is clearly not the A tier killer Sadako is.

Only way to change the meta is to nerf all the meta perks to near uselessness. The idea of "Lets powercreep instead" isn't going to fly with anyone who can grasp why power creep is bad.
As someone who does not feel powercreep is inherently bad, I say Eagle Fly Free.
-
I honestly disagree... I just enjoy the licensed killers. I guess the Artist mid chapter was better, but that is only because Artist was not really as great as our YouTube friends had hoped.
-
I take it those survivors were being very respectful? I do not speak that language. I can only expect they were held to the standards of our extremely productive community leaders!
-
This sounds like a wonderful suggestion that the ever sweet survivor players of this amazing community would love. I am so down to clown.
-
Yes, Overwatch is always shaking up the meta, it is not at all known for metas that last longer than a year and not getting any updates in 2 years. Not at all. I wish DBD were more like Overwatch, that would inject life into this game. Totally.
-
That is awful, TurtleSushi, I hope you live a long and prosperous life. Don't let that behavior get you down! The people who do that also deserve compassion as quite clearly, they are hurt. Deep down.
Peace and love, brothers and sisters.

Hell, the system is already in place
I'm guessing everyone forgot it existed because no one ever does it (because it does nothing) but there is a Thumbs Up button in the game. It seems like it would be pretty easy to make it actually do something instead of doing nothing as it currently stands.
I use it quite a bit as I am a beacon of positivity, please ignore my cage, by the way. There are plenty of other nice players like myself that I thumbs up, both killer and survivor.
-
It is all so they can add a new perk that allows us to avoid all of the map geometry in the way. They are prepping the new survivor, mark my words.
-
They are afraid that buffing solo queue will buff swfs. Very scary stuff when you think about it.

How am I not surprised there be so many people against getting more bloodpoints.
I, for one, wish to wait for Behavior to address the problem with their new system that they are hyping up. I will accept 0 bloodpoints until they fulfill their promise.

To be fair, they nerfed Twins for high mmr players. We all know competent survivors struggle against Twins... Don't we? I guess.

disagree, getting a 4k is easy by tunneling and camping. In fact i think it used to be that way but they changed it but im unsure
Naturally, and getting an escape by playing immersed is also easy. 99% of the achievements in game are easy. The only exceptions really are the console Huntress one, which is not particularly hard, but extraordinarily tedious, the Left for Dead one that requires the killer to let you go and... I mean, that is about it, really?
And also you tunnel and proxy camp regardless for the current adepts. So I fail to see your point. Elaborate.

Yeah sure, I know kills don't equal to emblems, but it should largely contribute, you killed 3 survivors, your chaser emblem should at least be gold. I know how it works but the logic baffled me. I mean, you chase survivors to a point you were able to kill 3 of them.
Using logic to understand a system where you need to cooperate with your opponent to rank up will get you absolutely nowhere.
-
The people complaining about healing literally do not play the game optimally. So I have no idea why they are crying, just enjoy your low mmr games where people heal against Legion or whatever. You have a good thing going.
-
You have an entire map to work with at the beginning. Run the killer half as long as I can, as a garbage survivor, and you will pip even if you get face camped.

Why not make DC's count? Like, half the time the DC happens on their death hook anyways.

Yeah, um, no thanks. It doesn't need buffed...

I want a killer who actually breaks the rules of the game. Imagine if Sadako was "demanifested" the entire time and didn't need to swap modes. Would she be THAT overpowered? Not really. But she would be a hell of a lot more fun and unique and likely viable.

I feel you. I am a long time player, play both sides and I am on my way out I believe. I tried the first two days of testing, felt like every game was a sweat fest and I haven't been back since. But that isn't any different from my usual games, really.
I loved this game, but as others have stated, perhaps it has become boring for me, but I have always said why play something that you are not having fun with? So this is the least amount of time I have played this game, and by the looks of things, the end.
So, I understand what you are saying in the title. And I am asking, why are you still playing? Because I am curious myself. Maybe your answer will be the final straw in my own decision.
I, personally, love DbD. But I feel I can relate when I compare it to Overwatch. It is basically this delusion that I have that since it was once the best pvp game I have ever played, it has the capacity to be that again. It will get better, I will start having more fun. The "sequel" will fix things. I am fairly certain none of those statements are true. But I still want to believe.
I imagine it is the same for a lot of people clinging to DbD despite not enjoying the experience any longer.

So I should give up and embrace my inner Bubba? #########. I just might.
At high mmr? Absolutely. He is, in my opinion, one of the only killers who can actually handle those survivors.
I derank my other killers because there is no way in hell I would stand a chance and I just want to have fun playing Sadako. I tried with Freddy and I get the stress everyone else talks about when I play him. It makes me not want to even use him knowing what I am up against. Bubba is chill as can be. I do not care if gens fly in 4 minutes when I play him. I do not even run slowdown because you do not need it at high mmr to get your 2k with Leatherface. And that is all I ever expect from facing death squads. The rest are narrative mode 4ks which happen a lot more ever since they loosened mmr.

Killer past 8 pm Eastern throughout the night. Survivor during the day.
You want to prioritize them queue times, son.

Yeah, ok. Then why remove the ranks at the endgame scoreboard? Also, you can clearly tell that a killer is new and survivors are not. A brand new killer vs four rank 1s and 2s is clear, just by observing and the scoreboard would verify that. Now we have no way to know if we need to help motivate these people not to quit forever because of their horrible experience
How do you know the goal is not to make them quit? Seems like a bit of a stretch given the way they address other issues.
-
No, listening to survivor mains talk about how killers got buffed with changes like THESE make me sick to my stomach. I would rather not have them at all so I can whine without the usual suspects retorting with "hurr durr buffs."
-
Wait, they removed Nemesis flicks? How?
-
The terrible suggestion of survivor mains to make Leatherface not able to face camp would definitely be enough for me to leave. And I tolerate a lot of borderline decisions without so much as a complaint.
-
Perfect balance is technically impossible and even if they somehow managed it, people would still complain. However, there is ALWAYS room for improvement.
-
If they permanently removed grades, it would definitely indicate to me that they have given up.
People can perpetuate that "grades are time played" narrative all they want, but it does not really mean anything to people who actually know how the system works...

I want to turn into the alien and blind survivors with my glowing goodies.
-
They really outdid themselves. It is absolutely beautiful. The old Haddonfield had that old leathery survivor scent, but this new one is crisp, son.
-
How would I know why they gave me hatch? Maybe they just like me because of my charm?
I do not let survivors go because of a good chase. It is really the opposite. I like killing good survivors. So I usually let the players who aren't the best have an escape.

What did I just read?
I have a lot of fun with this game still. Yes, it can be very frustrating at times, but for the most part - if I approach it with the right mindset - I enjoy my time on killer and survivor.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2897178#Comment_2897178
I think that a lot of people have rose-tinted goggles regarding how this game was back then. A good example: basically every map had 3 or 4 spots where survivors could go down/crawl and be impossible to be picked up. And that's before we got into stuff like old OoO, old DS etc.
I started somewhere in the middle of 2020, and this game was bleh. I came back just under a year ago (right after SBMM launched) and have had a blast since.

I've spent the last few weeks maining survivor, coming from being a killer main - and I'll say that even proportionally speaking, I see way more toxicity from survivors than killers. There's something about the role that really just brings it out of people.
No, it is not the role. It is the people playing the role. I am not a toxic survivor, because why would I be? Now, do not get me wrong, many would argue I am a toxic killer merely because I play the game optimally, but even if that were true, then surely it would translate to my survivor play? And yet it does not. No magic barrier turns me into a degenerate once I select that role.
-
That last picture is hilarious. Might actually be one of the best DBD memes I have seen.

You'd be disappointed with how little impact these posts have, I'd be surprised if anyone at BHVR aside from the mods reads them.
I have seen posts here get addressed, actually. Quite a few. Maybe it is just becauseI come from Overwatch that I can tell when they ACTUALLY ignore feedback. These developers are pretty good about being open and making changes. Maybe not the ones you want, but still. It happens.
-
It depends on my mood. I can usually get a lot out of those games, but if my mindset is not right, I just walk up to them to let them kill me. Sometimes they feel bad and ignore me, but you can solve that problem by pretending to play again.
-
NOED should probably be on any killer's build who is trying to win. And yet they will not run it because they are afraid of the opinion of survivor mains. It is kind of cringe. Imagine being influenced by people who whine about efficiency.
Survivors already run what they should because they aren't beta. I would have said Boil Over is underrated, but they nerfed it... So... Yeah. I guess just stick to second chances as the developers clearly intend. Niche builds are the only ones that get nerfed.
