It rarely works to save anyone in my camps because I will just camp the slug. It buys the team time, but you know, at least one of them is doing nothing given the sabotaged the hook and are waiting for me to leave to get the pick up. But realistically? SWF will give you hits, and solo players will go to help the slug not realizing you are camping it. So, I find it rarely actually helps them. Heck, sometimes it gives me pressure.
I was actually getting stomped on Midwich as Huntress and someone tried it, the whole team came to try and save the final hook and they never did that last gen before the 4k. And you know, they did 4 gens in like the first 2 minutes. So, shame for them, I suppose.
-
I have to be real, as obviously survivor favored as the game is to anyone looking at it objectively... It needs to be that way. That is how you convince 4 players to be your bottom and STILL get lightning fast queues.
During the anniversary, I actually had to wait 2 to 3 minutes to kill those clowns, unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable.
-
I might have cared just a little bit... If Pinhead wasn't basically the coolest killer they have added yet. If he was lame, then yeah, I could see myself wondering about a map. Especially as they are removing one instead of reworking it.

I have tried to help unhookers when some killers tunnel to go after the unhooker like I blinded one with a flashlight.
Yep, that would get me to tunnel you instead, and face camp. I think it is a good strategy for survivors.

Ha ha ha... I just can't even. I almost choked on my snack reading this because I was chuckling uncontrollably. I love the idea.

And all it takes is the slow agonizing death of every one of your teamates to use it!
That is actually what makes it such a great perk. I hate my team!

The Hellraiser memes have me all fired up. I can't wait to learn the porcupine. I am actually thinking about prefarming a few hundred bloodpoints from the tome so I can level 50 him before I even try him.
But yeah, anyways, probably burn out. I recommend a break.

A brewery would still be a better map than a forest. And another forest. And forest around a temple.

I’d say it’s reportable because of the “and I hate Leons” part. You can’t target/discriminate someone because of the character they choose to be.
Oh, so... All of those awkward bloodlust 3 chases I get with Jane are reportable? I just wanted to see her perks!

I'm okay with a killer face camping me if I am doing well but if you do it at the start of the game and don't let up I will feel upset because I didn't get to really play.
That being said everyone has different playstyles it can't be helped sometimes
I face camped this dude who brought a last second flashlight. He DC'd before I got the kill. So sad, but I respect his different playstyle for what it is, uwu.

Dont pretend that you would care about it. Nobody would care about getting bitched at for tunneling if the Survivor decides do bodyblock with BT.
I think killer mains do, because they always whine about what survivor mains calling them a tunneler. But yes, generally speaking, nobody in their right mind would care.

And for the killers that don't tunnel and lose a ton of pressure because of people hook bombing and then people body block with bt?
They need to learn to chase the BT body block. If survivors are going to play like rats, you need to match their tempo.
-
I respect the Kobe, as in, I am aware it can happen and will camp your hook state if I am going for a 4k. Lol.
-
I feel like Badham annoys me a lot more than Haddonfield because at least Haddonfield is beautiful and a smaller map. Badham has basically nothing going for it but the boiler room is cool...
-
I am probably just going to do it for the easy achievement. But only on one killer. The rest already have most perks and THAT took way too much for my personal comfort.
I suck at Pyramid Head, though. So resetting him should be fine. And then when he is done, hopefully I will have gotten better enough at killer to enjoy him a bit more.
-
I like the idea of needing to hit multiple projectiles to get a down, but really, I think it needs to be about 3, and obviously to compensate they need to function less like a machine gun.
As he is now, I think he would be fine with standard movement speed. The knives really aren't powerful enough to warrant the same hindrance required for Huntress and Deathslinger.
So either or would be my dream come true.
-
Just respond with, "smh... Survivor mains." You get to be passive aggressive without saying anything offensive and maintain the moral high ground. Ez, as they would say.
-
If they ever nerfed camping to that extent, you do not even want to know what kind of buffs they would need to compensate for it. Base kit devour, probably. Lol.
-
Yeah, I already ran into my first hackers and I am not even high ranked. Like, no offense, but I would rather the red ranks deal with that issue. I am not down for it while trying to do stupid archive challenges. The matchmaking is really, really bad if it thinks I can face off against 100% escape rate swf.
-
Conversely, Trickster is good if played against the right survivors. The bad ones!
-
Even if the mentality was awful, it is nobody's business to dicate whether it is okay or not. That being said, I was expecting a bad mentality. I think your mentality that someone cannot play the game how they want is more messed up than theirs. And that is okay, but wow, the nerve of you to unironically post this with no shame. Slightly disturbing.
-
Lightborn should blind the survivor instead, see how they like it.
-
Lightborn, I love watching the Hamster in their progressively start working over time to comprehend what is happening to them without their busted crutch item to carry them.

I hate people that instantly assume you are some toxic jerk because you run meta perks. Sometimes i just want to relax and not have to sweat so hard to enjoy the game.
Yeah, the people that think I am trying hard just because I am using Ruin so the game doesn't end in 3 minutes is insane.
-
I did it for the bloodpoints. Not going to lie.
-
A David spinned me literally 5 or 6 times in a row. Kind of embarrassing. But you know, it do be that way sometimes. As I am getting better, it happens less, even though I am console. I think I was just thirsty because he was my 4th BBQ stack. Maybe if I wasn't so passionate about downing him, he would have only gotten two or three. Lol.

So what, taking into account the 70% kill rate at red ranks, is your balancing suggestion?
Turn mmr on and those kill rates will become sub 50% with ease. Rofl.
-
It is why they are adding mmr. Whenever they get around to it. Soon... Soon in game developer language, anyways.
-
Please use the lime green one, I promise I find it really hard to see her. The bright colors blind me better than your flashlight ever could, promises.

I'm a Rank 1 Survivor so the higher toxicity than what you experience could be based on that (without knowing your rank to compare to). I personally think that the red ranks bring out the worst in both sides of the game and that losing for some people in those ranks causes them to lash out. I've had moments where I've really outplayed the Killer and I just immediately know I'm going to get some hateful messages over it.
That being said it definitely comes in ebbs and flows. I've had a month where I've barely gotten any messages or seen anything I consider bad mannered. Then there are times where I experience it so constantly that I take a few days as a break to decompress from the toxicity. Right now I'm in such a break!
I'd imagine that the messages are the same! Accusations of hacking or just general anger after an escape. End game hatch escapes especially. I just delete the messages and move on - friendly and kind messages are the only ones I respond to or keep! 😊
Yeah, I am only like rank 11 or 12 as a survivor. I cannot remember which. Quite frankly, even that is boosted. This game thinks VERY highly of me for some reason.
But yeah, I didn't think of hatch. I would be lying if I said I didn't roll my eyes a little when a survivor finds it first and teabags all over it. But nothing I would ever send a message over, if I was the type to send messages. I guess that is why I asked, because nothing a survivor does makes me angry except for flashlights, which I run our lord and savior lightborn to deal with that. So no excuses for me to get toxic. Lol.

So I have 379.1 hours into this game and I gotta say overall I give it a 8/10.
Not a perfect rating but not perfect. I honestly think if the game wasn't too grindy it would be better. This game seems to be just off balanced slightly in terms of how long you have to play to unlock everything. I am not saying make the game super easy and quick to unlock everything. But the hours upon hours just to unlock useless perks is almost sad. I am a Completionist so to speak and I want to have everything unlocked so I can play around with everything.
Now lets say you're brand new to this game and you have every character purchased but all lvl 1 OBVI.
And I told you that you will have to play 400 hours to get everything unlocked... If you played 4 hours a day for 100 days you could get everything unlocked... Assuming I get every thing unlocked here in the next 21 in game hours... I need like 5 million more Blood Points I think. In my opinion for a game like this it needs to be seriously adjusted.
It kind of depends. I was new and started before the 5th anniversary. I have almost every licensed killer with most of the perks I want. I do not need EVERYTHING and that will come with time anyways.
As of right now, I basically just need Barbecue on Myers. Lethal Pursuer on Deathslinger (I used my shards on him and Trickster) and I am trying to save 1 million for Pinhead. After that, I guess Huntress is next and I am set with everything I wanted. I can finish the other base killers (I only have Hag and Billy finished) slowly at my own pace as their perks are kind of meh.
To be fair, once I get a 9k shard buffer, I am going to buy Plague. And then I will need to get corrupt on EVERY killer I use. So, I am not trying to downplay the grind. But I feel if you just commit to one side with decent timing (Halloween is around the corner), you can get most relevant perks on a rotation of about a dozen killers which most new players won't even have without spending.
-
I find the killer and let me hook him, and try slippery meat without the slippery meat. Sometimes the killer takes pity on me and protects me, so, you know, those games turn out well as he massacres everyone and I farm bloodpoints. Rofl.
-
So what you are telling me is that Pig needs more reverse bear traps? Hard agree.
-
If borrowed becomes base, which it should... Ruin needs to become base, as it should. Well, a nerfed version of it, anyways. Maybe 100% regression and if you kick it, it doubles.
No idea what they would rework Ruin into. Don't care. The game would be a lot better with a common sense tunnel counter and a common sense gen defense mechanic.

Why did they choose the building over the streets again?
More iconic, I guess?

I think he is really good, better than most people give him credit for. But top 3? No way.
-
It is disabled right now... Surprised they have offerings activated. Now that you mention it, someone used a noose and I was so upset it sent us to Haddonfield, but that map is disabled too. Dang...
-
@Phasmamain said:
Nope. You shouldn’t die to a trap because they brought to two add ons and a map offering
That's a lot of stuff to bring for a kill...
-
All I am saying is to be biased for survivor is to use logical fallacies left and right and have difficulty with simple math. Not trying to be rude, but facts are facts.
-
I do not care if you are on a gen, I need the killer to go after you instead because you could probably actually loop him. If not, I will honor your work and finish your gen for you. That is just the type of nice and humble survivor I am.
-
I am awful at survivor and rarely depip. Actually, pretty sure I never do. Even if I am caught first and kill myself on hook. How to climb? Probably run better second chance perks? Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, and Iron Will. Why would you run anything else if you wanted to rank up?
-
Nothing revolving around the actual gameplay. As evidenced by this thread. Everyone is focusing on the fundamentals like grind, content or performance.
-
For me, the game is unplayable without Ruin. If that cleanses early, I am probably going into troll mode.

I was going to do this for my daily, but I just decided to spend like 400k to get Rancor on Ghostface.
Totally would have just face camped into mori if I didn't own that perk, though.

Yup. A fun one I had recently was when I started to hook someone right about the same time another survivor ran over to break the hook. I got stuck in the hooking animation, completely unable to move, until the hook dropped in my face.
I got that one too. I was just relieved my game didn't crash once I figured out what happened. Lol.
-
Pig, definitely Pig. She is the one that I kind of feel weird about playing because I am like, "do I really want to put myself through this?" Michael is a fun and easy ROFLstomp by comparison.

I like the super delayed ones that show up when you give them a second glance and quickly dim afterwards.
Oh, man, I lost so many survivors to those. I would be bad at tracking them without the inconsistency, but with it? I have to drop quite a few that I feel would have been easy if I had just seen the marks slightly earlier.
-
Hawkins. Please rework it into an original map.

Not only that, some of the survivor mechanics make the game less fun for other survivors.
I'm so sick of the way survivors revere the hatch. I've been in multiple matches lately where after one survivor dies, the other two go immersed and stop participating, hoping everyone else will die so they can get the hatch. We could possibly all escape if they bothered to touch a gen, but they refuse. It's infuriating. One person dies and the match comes to a grinding halt. Woo, what amazing gameplay.
Immersed is not quite the word I would use to describe that degeneracy.
