camping can indeed be a decent strategy yet as a high ranking killer myself, I strongly feel that camping is only a good strategy when it comes to the gates are powered or open, when three generators are close together, survivors being way too overconfident, parties in the basement, basement builds, and finally when a generator is nearly done and you hook a survivor near it. You now have objective control over both the hook and generator yet my main concern is with the blatant camping aka griefing . I've had campers camp me for no reason and many others when 5 generators are up, and I find it highly annoying that there's really not many counters to camping beside genrushing " sucks for that guy". I think that is wrong that another player has to suffer just for someone's sadistic amusement!
Suggestions/fix 2- I think it's not a bad idea to create items or more perks that can free someone being camped. What i believe should happen is that our report system needs to be reworked to deal with people who grief just to ruin your day yet here are my ideas.
Purple Bomb- I name this item purple bomb to give homage to our good old friend( I hate you) purple flashlight. The light bomb would be an ultra rare that when thrown, will blow up on impact, stunning a killer near the hook for x amount of seconds due to the immense amount of Auric light or just light produced from the blast. The draw back of this item that the killer must be near a hook and only ONE can be brought into the game. If more than one purple bomb is attempted to be brought into the game, only one person will keep their purple bomb randomly and the others will have different items they own and if they own no items, no items will be brought.
FireCrackers- They never bothered me once as a killer yet I found use as them as a survivor. I feel like firecrackers deafen mechanic can be looked at to change it to where a killer can't perform any action besides moving while deafen x amount of time depending on the firecrackers' rarity.
Adding a special toolbox or toolbox add on that allows for a survivor to be able to unhook someone by causing the hook to collapse and if the camping killer is in that radius of the collapse hook, they're stun for x amount of time.
Perk 1- The Jester's Demise- If a Killer camps you for x amount of time when the gates ARE NOT OPEN OR POWERED IN ANY AMOUNT the Entity grants you it's protection for x amount of time to you and your savior to where nothing can put you into a dying state for x amount of time. T-baging will disable the effect and borrowed time, Adrenaline, and no perks such as self care, dead hard, and much more cannot be used during The Jester's Demise and X amount of time afterwards on both players who have The jester's Demise on them. This can only be used once per Trial( game) If the killer is in a chase around the hook, the x amount of time will not be added. I put x amount of time as in how much time would be needed to active the perk.
Perk 2- Not_Dead- If a killer camps you to second stage for x amount of time, the second stage will be delayed & The Fog will swirl around you, you will have a chance to hit a skillcheck. if you hit this skillcheck, the fog will teleport you to a safe spot on the map, very far from the exit gate yet very far from killer. if the killer tries to hit the fog that shrouds you in those moments, you will be healed to a healthy state.
We could also add some items for characters for example a guitar that can only be used and found by Kate Denson Kate wil be able to use guitar to quell the killer for x amount of time by playing the song that caused her to come into The Entity's world or a foul pizza. Dwight can used a foul pizza ridden with auric cells to distract the killer to devour it for x amount of time.

I think the devs put in clown’s coulrophobia perk as the counter because if you’re in the terror radius even with “we’ll make it” healing takes awhile

That's debatable. Very debatable because there's maybe 6-10 people overall working on DbD on varying aspects of the game from coding, to QA'ing and designing assets. So, would let's say removing the number of pallets in certain maps cost -as you put it- a ton of money? Probably not because that would come down to 1-2 people figuring out how to do that. And they would save money in the QA process with a PTB.
So would it cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to remove pallet lands and windows like you're trying to spin it? Probably not.

I don't know what country you're from where the currency exchange might be poor but this is a $20 game. It's actually a $10 game during a sale. Plus it just had it's highest number of players online at once at 46K during the Double BP Event. So try again. Plus there's no dedicated servers to host so Behavior isn't paying the bill for a server farm. They're doing very well right now.

Nah I mean it may be annoying but first the queue times would increase and secondly this shows the devs how good certain killers are. So when they add new killers if they’re constantly being played at rank 1 like nurse and billy are then the devs know the killer is competitive at the very least

Also you have to remember if we had the dlc since the first day of the event people would have them prestiged and no need for a grind but now they’ll have to grind them. Considering that I’d be salty too, I mean think about that you’d have kate or clown or both P3 level 50 right now if they came out the first or even by the second day of the event but now you’d have only one level 35 at most.TeambossFloze said:

I don't know. I feel like they need to smooth it over. The waiting has been insane. We'll get the chance to BUY stuff from them 1 month past PC release and 2 weeks past XB1 release.
Some people are going to wait and hold off on buying cells. Like myself... and some won't care. I personally care and the 20 bucks I had planned on spending in Auric Cells will be about 5.00 now, so I can get the Waldo Dwight outfit.
I'll save those 15 bucks, and just buy the NEXT DLC that will be out in 2 months.
Crazy. They have so many ways and so many options to smooth this over.
PS4 has had a rough wait for this stuff. And it's not like we're asking for stuff... we're complaining about not being able to give your our money... instead it is frustration..
I think the worst part is that by appeasing everyone by throwing a couple K of shards or a small amount of Cells would actually get a lot of people to spend more money.
Maybe they did nothing wrong and this entire thing was all just a string of bad luck. Okay, it sucks but empathize with your community, toss them a few shards and say, ''we learnt a lot from this experience and hope that going forward we get things better, thanks for sticking with us'' What's the net loss for them? I don't think anyone who was going to spend money won't and I think anyone that wasn't going to spend money will re-think their position, I know I will.

How exactly does camping hold the game hostage? That’s nonsense. Besides survivors would abuse tf out of that method you suggested making the game awful for killer players. Camping is fine and doesn’t need to be “fixed”

See the dlc not being out yet is not bhvr’s fault but telling us the time it’d be out, now that’s their fault. They could’ve just it’ll come out either Sunday or Monday and had the entire two days. I’m honestly surprised they gave a time and didn’t just say “upcoming days”

I am sorry, but there are better ways to tell people that they should buy a PC rather than a console. It's not about being honest. He just has to tell everyone, he and his daughter have got a PC, he works at a bank, he is stoned rn etc. I know he finds it to be "fun", but it is really boring, reading his non-creative posts.

You don’t know why they are rank 18, they could be purposely de-pipping for whatever reason or they could have not played until this week for the double bp and 2.0 patch.
