I'd love Harry or James as Survivors. I don't know for Killers, but there are lot of choices.

  • How many solo matches did you do for never escaping any of them through the exit gates?

  • 3DFD8830-0FF6-4432-BF1A-FEB06E972C8E.jpeg

If only... A hint for MMR coming pretty soon? 🙏🏻

  • My partner told me about it as we were looking for a game to play for Halloween.

I became obsessed and never stopped to play since.

Because Franklin's was/is the only psuedo-counter to Keys.

The more Keys you see/the longer they go unnerfed, the more Franklin's you'll see

Franklin's won't be even more popular with the new keys? If they are out of charges, they can't open the hatch.

  • What changes? And please, Heather is the best. She had to fight very hard in Silent Hill 3.

  • I have very little experience as a Killer, so I can't speak with you... but I'll be super interested to hear.

Where can I hear your podcast? Do you already have some episodes to listen to?

  • I P3 several Survivors (Jake, Laurie, Feng and Adam), I started to level up a few Killers to get their teachables...

Actually, I didn't do as much as I would during the event. But I've got tired of having one DC per match, and very often at the beginning of it.

  • I've never seen an Iri Head Huntress since her addons rework.

  • I'm tired of having one DC per game. No exageration. One per game... A Survivor is downed for the first time? DC. They're hooked for the first time? DC. They see a Spirit? DC.

And when I play Killer, I rank up too easily because if I dare downing someone, they DC and give me a free kill... I'm not even allowed to learn how to play Killer. One DC and two others DC right after and I feel so bad for the last one that I let them enjoying some BP by getting the hatch...

  • I'm fine with a Maria legendary skin if they give her a proper voice. I don't want to hear Heather's voice on Maria... It'd be weird. It's already weird to hear it as Lisa or Cybil.

  • Private profile. Problem solved.

  • Lower ranks was just campers and people hiding in a corner the whole game. It wasn't fun.

  • I don't use cakes anymore, there is often a Killer/Survivor DC early in the game. Almost every match since the penalty is off.

  • I'd love to know when someone is in a chase, not only when it's the obsession--especially when I'm the obsession. And Kindred base kit but without the Killer's aura reading. It should be limited to the perk itself. And totem counters not tied to a perk. I've never seen anyone using Small Game after its change.

Ingame voice chat is the only fair solution. Everything else also helps SWF.

But... Not everyone speaks English. I'm French, for instance. I often have people from Spain, Russia, Sweden, etc. I have no idea if they speak English as well. Imagine one speaking French, the other Spanish...

Also, I'd totally turn it off, as I think most people would yell at others. I already had to turn the end game chat off because I was tired of people insulting each other... Having it in game? No, thanks.

    Ty.

And yes, you're not the only one havin a rough night lol.

I always feel alone not to cleanse. Worst, my teammates tend to cleanse then joining my generator for... being sick again. (Spread on generators also, guys! But no, everyone wanna be in the same place.) I even had a Bill who cleansed near my hook to come save me after, while I was infected myself. The reason to cleanse to be sick two seconds later? The rework will probably happen in the next chapter ( since this mid-chapter patch is only to improve the looks of the older survivor ).

    I do hope so!

  • I hate it. It's the only map I want to see removed from the game. I got it three times in a row today...

Tell me it's gonna get a rework...

Well honestly the only bad part of her last cosmetic is the hair. The Jacket looks freaking amazing on her base skirt !

Actually, I didn't like the jacket first. But you're right, with her base skirt, it looks amazing. Finally I can use something else than base jacket/P3. I like to switch the outfit from time to time.

    Why so touchy

Let them do it, I ignore them on purpose, because I know they won't do gens

Exactly. I had two matches in a row where a Survivor followed me while flashclicking. I take a look at them, nodded and left. They followed me. Please, waste your time. And fail your flashlight save after you sandbagged your teammate.

for huntress (i dont play her but im pretty decent with builds, id run an all seeing build. BBQ, im all ears, Whispers, and last one would be ruin for slowdown, Devour for fun, or corrupt for a better early game.

for solo survivor, id run spine chill and sprint burst. DH is nice but SB is more effective at prolonging a chase, especially when 99'ing it and using it mid chase. spine chill is a safer bet against most killers while adrenaline is better when communicated with a SWF group but when info is very little as a solo survivor, spine chill is very handy.

I'm All Ears? But Survivors don't vault that often against Huntress, right? I always fake the window vault when I play Survivor against her. Most of the time, she expects the vault and throw the hatchet.

SB is awesome, I really like it, especially when I'm doing a generator in a dead zone. I can run to a safe tile quickly. But It stresses me out! I start running at the start of the trial, I feel I waste it. In the same time, I don't want to walk to save it, because I waste time then.

"Pop and Corrupt seem to be popular choice in the answers. I will give them a try, and Whispers as well. If you had to chose between Corrupt and Pop, which one would you keep?"

If you are using Whispers, use Pop instead. Corrupt is mainly for early gen-pressure as well as early tracking. But for constrant gen-pressure, you want to use Pop since it incentivizes you to do quick downs and hooks.

Definitely not. Iron Maiden is useful in terms of forcing survivors to be tracked by BBQ anyways, but it's not worth it to go out of your way to down them with your melee attack. You're a 110% speed killer, you need to create a zone within the map where you can dominate survivors and keep them there. If someone is spamming Iron Maiden screams though, you kinda have to get used to it's really really annoying. I hope BHVR does something about the spam.

Basically, use Iron Maiden for reloads and tracking information if BBQ didn't show you everyone's auras.

Best way to learn how to aim your hatchets is to look at the tip of your hatchet's handle and aim at the middle of the screen from there. Your best bet to getting better at Huntress (at close range) and learning her hatchet hitboxes is to try and throw hatchets over short loop tiles. Like the ones you often see in Gas Heaven or McMillan. Remember you sometimes need to aim higher than you expect.

A flick is when you look another direction to throw off the Survivor and then move back to their direction so they can't dodge it. It's very quick and it's mostly muscle memory and reflexes hence the term "flicking". I suggest watching CoconutRTS videos. He is one of the best Huntress to learn from if you wanna learn how to flick properly.

Actually let me link a couple of his videos:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q7nXbknj5U

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVcoLOpkbMU

Oh, I started to watch Coconut on Twitch, I didn't even realize he has a YT. I'm going to watch these videos.

And thanks for the aiming tip. When you say the "tip of the hatchet", you mean the bottom one? I didn't know that! I think it'll help me a lot.

Thanks again for all the tips. Really helpful! I guess now all I have to do is practicing!

Using whispers is definitely hard and it’s actually not a perk I use regularly. There’s a guide on it by a YouTube called Ohtofu which is pretty good though

I will check Tofu's guide then. Thanks!

Goodluck at learning it then ^^ Learning new languages is hard but it seems like its paying off for you as you seem mostly fluent!

As for if it makes a difference or not; it can against good killers if you play the loop right. A good killer will almost always know what distance they can land a hit at, so if you're running Spine Chill and Resilience it not only reduces this distance but it also messes with the killers muscle memory as they've missed a hit that they thought they would hit. Depending on the loop and map, this could cost the killer a lot of time and could possibly be the difference between your team escaping and your team dying. Both perks are good too outside of their effects with windows which makes me encourage their use even more.

Really? I mean, thanks, it means a lot to me. I wish to be fluent!

I see, I will keep improving my looping skills and learning vaulting distance and timing. I watched a video about the time SC + Resilience save to a fast vault and it was like 0.9 seconds. So I was wondering if really it worth it.

    @DelsKibara said:

I've been playing a lot of Huntress, and you can copy my build if you want. It's imo, the best build to use if you want to play territorial:

BBQ, Pop Goes the Weasel, Corrupt Intervention, Iron Maiden

With Add-ons go for the Flower Babushka & Rose Root combo. This allows you to basically wind up and shoot your hatchets before a Survivor have time to react. Especially if you're going for long ranged shots.

The Rose Root helps throw off their prediction when trying to wiggle away from your hatchets with the extra 20% flight speed.

As for how to use the perks.

Obviously use Iron Maiden to reload faster, this allows you to be more risky with your shots because you won't take as long reloading.

BBQ should be used for long ranged snipes if you can help it, particularly on survivors on generators. But if you can, try to predict whether or not a Survivor will be a W gamer and shoot them from across the map when they least expect it.

Pop is for gen pressure, like I said you want to play territorial. Find a 3-gen and make sure it doesn't pop.

Corrupt is for early pressure. Not only to prevent Survivors from immediately working on generators, but also to find them since Survivors tend to spawn next to corrupt gens.

With aim, you want to just keep playing her and go for riskier and riskier shots. Eventually you'll get a feel on how to aim with her. Try to keep your mouse DPI to something you feel you can control rather than going for flicks all the time. You want to have consistency.

Not saying you shouldn't learn to flick, just don't do it when you're trying to learn her. Get the basics out of the way until you feel you can get good at her, then start doing crazier and crazier stuff with her.

Pop and Corrupt seem to be popular choice in the answers. I will give them a try, and Whispers as well. If you had to chose between Corrupt and Pop, which one would you keep?

About Iron Maiden... I wanna use it only for the speed reload but... If someone comes out of a locker, do you take time to come back to down them? As a 110% Killer, I don't know if it worth it, unless the Survivor is close.

I never played game where I have to aim, I guess it'll take a long time before I can do a big ranged shot. But I'll try to go for riskier shots. For now, I don't care if everyone escapes at the end, as long as I feel I improved a bit/learnt something. I already adjusted my DPI to my tastes, I think it's perfect for me as it is now. So I can start learning with it.

What is "flick"? I hear this word often, especially about Blight, but I have to admit I have no idea what is it.

Thanks for the tips, it really helps! I will do my best to be at least a decent Huntress.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/266404/help-me-with-a-survivor-and-a-huntress-build

The build I recommended for Huntress is based on if you don't have trouble finding people at beginning. If you struggle with this I would swap Nurses for Lethal and sure I guess Whispers (I don't like Whispers but understand why people use it).

Speaking of Whispers the reason I hate it is most of the value is at beginning and end. I wish it did not proc people on the hook. Would be nice if you could use it after unhooking to know if someone is lurking for the save.

Oh, shoot. Like, Whispers is activated because someone's hooked, so it doesn't tell if someone else is actually around?

  • @Phasmamain said:

Keep spine chill for vault speed and info. Sprint burst is probably worse since you’ll be injured constantly with that build

Whispers is a great tracking perk for huntress and is a base killer perk. Also try corrupt from the plague or pop from clown

Have you tips to use Whispers correctly? I used it a bit, but each time it's up, I feel clueless. (I'm still learning not to lose Survivor from my line of sight!)

    @NoOneKnowsNova said:

First of all, I'd just like to mention your English is really good. I'm assuming by the last line it's not your first language, and if so I thought you were natural with it before reading that line.

Second of all, I'd say use Dead Hard over Sprint Burst if you're doing a vault build. Both perks are great, but with Resilience alot of your time will be spent injured, meaning Dead Hard provides more value. Additionally, itll help alot when using it to get to a window as a killer may underestimate your vaulting speed.

Third of all, I'd use Spinechill. The main reason is obviously that your build revolves around speed vaulting, and you can't really have this build without Spine Chill. Additionally, Spine Chill provides info throughout the match, while Adrenaline is a one use perk that although excels in swf, isnt an amazing perk in solo queue due to you having no control of when it's used.

Finally, I'm not a great Huntress, but I'd reccomend Pop Goes the Weasel as she doesnt have enough map pressure to warrant Hex: Ruin. As for that last perk spot, Shadowborn isn't a bad shout on her, however dont use any perks that effect your terror radius.

Thank you, I'm doing my best to learn English by myself. I'm French.

Most of the time, Adrenaline comes when I don't need it... But it's been weeks I switch between it and Spine Chill. I'm still learning how to run the Killer, and my timing to vault isn't the best yet. I was wondering if SC + Resilience really make a difference between being hit or avoiding the swing.

You're the second to say Pop, I think I'm gonna give it a try.

Nurse's, I didn't think about this one... I like aura reading perks.

    I want cakes damn it!

I'm in the exact same situation with P3 lvl 50 Cheryl...

The Lore Accurate Scream Movie Ghostface Build would probably follow "The Rules" of a slasher film.

Dying Light so the Obsession will be THE Obsession.

Save The Best for Last to build up to the climax and get rid of the supporting cast.

Lethal Pursuer because you need to be one step ahead from the very start.

Any endgame perk (No Way Out, Bloodwarden, NOED, *Rancor see below) to make the finale special, if they escape they escape but you need to try to create suspense.

*Rancor optional if you plan on playing as a sequel because not even the obsession is safe in the sequel and you need a better end than the last movie.

    This is absolutely awesome!

You can much more with that. If you can multitask then you can use Spine Chill to know where a Killer is looking when he is chasing you. This can be very useful for shack and many other tiles. The speed bonus can help with vaulting evading some hit. However I do not think that you can rely on that.

I would recomment Spin Chill over Adrenaline because you will more often have a benefit from it than from Adrenaline.

Do not get me wrong, Adrenaline is very strong and can safe you especialy if you are a bit coordinated with a team. Spine Chill is just more of a general perk.

I'm solo, being coordinated isn't easy... Thanks for your answer, it helps me to make my decision.

  • I've played three matches as Huntress, as I wanted to take a break from Survivor gameplay.

One DC per match. I don't camp, I don't tunnel... It's not even I've done something to upset them. They are downed once? DC. OK.

  • I'd feel better for Trapper if he started the game with one or two traps. Most of the time, two generators are done when the first Survivor got injured.

Or I see Trapper starting a chase early, but with no traps to pressure the loops. He's basically a M1 Killer with no power if he doesn't take time to set some traps at the beginning.

I never played Trapper, but as a Huntress main, I'd feel bad if I had to get my hatchets to a locker at the start of the game. And it's not even comparable to Trapper.

  • Does the 6% speed boost actually helps to vault? I'm really hesitating between Adrenaline and Spine Chill for my build now.

It counters stealth, but honestly, looking around counter stealth as well. Without Spine Chill, I can already spot Myers, GF or Pig away. And Wraith is noisy enough.

  • Where can you check the stats on Steam? I'd like to know as well how much BP I've earned.

  • I stunned Nemesis and a zombie in the same time with a single pallet. I felt so proud.

Nemesis got his revenge later on me, don't worry for him. It was a nice game, GG, if you read this!

  • I tend to underestimate myself, I don't even know at this point if I'm bad, decent or good.

But I wanna think I start to be decent, but still not good enough.

  • If you wanna P3 a character, use their cakes even if they don't have good perks unlocked. I got 100k+ BP usually, so I can get lot of cakes on my main while leveling up my other characters.

  • I'm not playing on console, I don't know how bad the issue is for you, guys... But I wish the update will truly fix the performance!

Also, pretty cool to get free shards. Thanks.

There's an event going on now? I guess that explains the loading screen slides we see with quotes from the devs and the art work. I've also seen, occasionally, survivors seem to have fireflies circling them.

Honestly, if these 2 things hadn't been added, I would be hard pressed to know that there was even an event going on. The dev's could have saved themselves some coding time and just gave us all 5 million blood points or something.

I don't know exactly what I was hoping for, but this, this ain't it.

We all got a big screen notification in game telling there is an event.

Sadly I wasn't here for Scorching Summer BBQ, but by Entity I wish I had been. From what I've heard and seen it was one of the best events in Dead by Daylight's history.

But Winter Solstice? Ah, my friend, Winter Solstice is unforgettable. It was when I first started playing DBD, and that theme alone was enough to send shivers down my spine.

How it was? My first event was Halloween 2020... 😔

  • I have nothing against Meg. But I've been betrayed by four of them since I started to play.

They let me reach second phase on hook because they were too busy doing a generator ten meters away from me.

Then the one on the opposite side of the map understands they have to come save me. A bit too late.

  • I got the crown for all the OG Survivors, and three Killers (my main Huntress, Trickster and Spirit).

I don't know if I'll get the rest for the Killers. I'll see, but the queue is super long.

  • The very first time I was on RPD, I was playing Killer. I hooked three people... When I hooked the third one, I noticed the two others were still hooked... I was like: WTH, no one went to save them? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Then I played it as a Survivor. And I understood the reason no one saved: it is such a maze. As a Killer, I didn't see how hard it was to navigate the map. Maybe because I found the Survivor easily and I just had to follow them.

But as a Survivor, I saw how confusing it is. I tried to save someone who was hooked on what I think was the roof... I never was able to find the stairs to go there. And as no one came for the save, I guess others were like me.

When I was hooked, I was lucky enough to have someone on the room next to me.

The map looks awesome. But ***, I have orientation issues. I thought the other indoor maps were already confusing... (Yes, I'm easily lost.)

I really need to navigate it more.
