From the title I thought this would be stupid, but I like it. Well thought out.

You're comparing killer powers to vault animations...
The joke is that neither one of them is a balance issue.
-
Wraith with silent bell and 6 secind terror radius suppression. That gets me lots if gen grabs in the beginning of the match.
Go against the outsude wall of the map until you find survs working on gens. They will be looking toward the inside of the map unless they are particularly observant.
-
Myers actually. Hands down.
Edit: is this gif not playing for anything else either?

1.) Demo
2.) Hag
3.) Nurse
4.) Clown
5.) Spirit
The most satisfying though is spirit because that's what I want to do to the ds, self care, dead hard, flashlight clicky obsession that usually shows up any time I bring Rancor.

Noed is crutch for a reason, you have to do nothing to get such a powerfull effect. Why noone complains about bloodwarden? Becouse you have to do something for it, hooking a survivor while gates are open. Bloodwarden is well balanced and requieres something noed not, you could stay afk and get 4ks with noed.
I mean, you can't actually afk and 4k with NOED. Can't hit M1 without pressing a button.

I spam mori, spam gen hits, spam nodding, etc. Sure, sometimes people do it as a middle finger, but I do it because it makes me laugh and I think it looks funny. If they sit there mori spamming for the whole bleedout timer, then they just wasted like 2 minutes of your time. That's not that bad.
Edit: Also they wasted 2 minutes of their own time.

According to the friend, a fogwhisperer named Hexy got banned for it at one point and they've also had others they know who have been banned for it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/844623#Comment_844623
They seem to mention a lot of things they won't ban for yet most of BHVRs list can also be considered griefing. The killers or survivors who do certain acts are going out of their way to give players a bad time and ruin their game experience.
My line drawn would be "Just play the game the way it's intended, if you are not giving players a chance to play, then you are not allowed to play because you clearly don't have a problem with the mindset of 'others shouldn't be allowed to play the game' and you are apart of the 'others' as well." So face camping and slugging til bleed out should be definite bans. Considerable bans (meaning depending on how 'severe' it was/how rude they were with it) should be things like mori spamming and tbagging, why? Because it's people just shoving a giant middle finger in your face and I know most people have a heart of stone and don't show any emotion but others do and it can really ruin those people's day.
Also, I do not have a screenshot but she said they replied "Thank you for your concern about the game. Unfortunately, that is not a punishable offence and no action will be taken against this player." basically.
If getting a middle finger in your face from some rando online is enough to ruin your whole day, that sounds like a you problem. Maybe you shouldn't play pvp games if you only want positive experiences with other people.

This is an unbalance. I don't know how this is so difficult for people to grasp that it's unfair. Even the Nurse has a vault animation.
2 out of 17 killers can crouch. This is an unbalance.

I use it for more than just DBD forums and I really don't want to have to reset my password on everything.
You should never use the same password for more than one service, especially if your credit card or other personal information is on one of those with the same password. Go change the passwords of anything that has the same email/password combination as this.

I suspect the new killer will be called The Demon rather than The Oni. DbD doesn't usually use culturally specific names for their killers. This is why Rin is named The Spirit rather than The Onryo.

Wendigo because a wendigo is a transformation after eating human fresh.
A wendigo (or witigo) is not a transformation, it is a possession by an evil spirit that entered your body due to you committing the sin of cannibalism. The heart is made of ice, and the only way to kill them is by melting their heart with fire. They mimic voices of your loved ones to lure you to them, then they cook you alive before eating you. A wendigo also doesn't have a consistent appearance among all the tribes that believe in them, but they range from being a gigantic frozen corpse to being a mummified human with the skull of an elk. The one thing they all share is that the wendigo has no internal organs and an open ribcage so that everything they eat falls out and they can never get rid of their hunger.
Hag is definitely not a wendigo. I'm not sure I would call her a witch either because she is undead, but typically witches are described as being old hags in folk lore.
EDIT: Source of this information; I learned these stories straight from Cree elders. Tribes that live in the north, where winters are harsh, are where the wendigo stories came from. It is a spirit strongly associate with ice and snow. Hag has no references to frigid environments or ice either.

Well, one of the maps HAS to be the worst, but I don't think any of them are "bad."
-
Trapper, because anxiety.
Pig, because anxiety.
Spirit, because the terrifying sound of her crying and the creepy way she moves.
Nurse, because her sound design and unconventional way she attacks.
EDIT: But I hate how they gave The Spirit the "WAAAH" sounds before the final release. Her sound design was soooo much better in the PTB.

Honestly, I found Tome I to be a lot more fun than this one.
It has taken me 4 games so far and only managed to get 6/15 Unhooks
It took me 3 games to try and get the Dark Sense challenge
Took me 5 games to get 20 emblems of gold or more.
It was mainly due to going with and against smart and senseful survivors, that aren't potato.
I played about 2-4 games per hour.
How the actual heck is this meant for your average gamer? It took me 3 hours to do 3 challenges and it was darn unfun. I don't expect to complete this within a day or even 2, but 3 hours for that long? It wasn't even because they're hard, they're just too grindy, and long, and it's irriating having to compete with other survivors for these objectives
@Peanits This isn't really "average gamer" friendly and quite frankly a little frustrating with how too grindy it is.
You guys should really listen to your community. Hirez is a perfect example of understanding players are not happy with super-grindy passes and should act immediately on that dissatisfaction

But that's exactly one of the reasons they changed legion in the first place. He took a long time to down you but he was inescapable. However he is also not in a good state either, I personally don't think he even has a power to be honest.
True, but this guarantees that your chases will be 2/3 of a generator worth of time. It gives him a major counterplay in gen rushing, but also means you can't just safely ignore the deep wound status because the timer is always going down. The major problem with his rework is that is neutered deep wound so bad that there isn't even a reason to mend anymore.
-
I almost always play solo and have never had that problem. Maybe you are just used to being in crazily coordinated teams who communicate every little event over voice chat.
-
I would like compensation to be able to show that I did indeed earn those event items. A charm, font color, something.
-
My issue with Nurse right now is that it feels like her range has been severely reduced to the point where I have to charge a while to even blink to the other side of a park bench in Haddonfield. It feels like short range blinks I used to be able to hit perfectly are nearly impossible now. Maybe I just need to use her landing marker addon until I get used to the rework though.

Lvl 75? Isn't there only 70?
Oh, probably 70 yeah. I didn't remember off the top of my head. It would take 8.5 (let's say 8 because you can't do half a match) less matches then.
Edit, bad math because tired. The more accurate number should be around 1120 matches with no challenges.
My math is 500xp per match, 800 per fragment, 10 fragments per level. 8000xp per level then. Divide by 500, that is 16 matches per level. 16 times 70 is 1120.

Why in the hell is there only 5 killers challenges and 11 fking survivor challenges, i dont enjoy playing survivor, and being force to play it to do these challenges because fking grind is ridiculous to unlock tiers for rift with XP is a joke.
Why isn't there a system to allow you to pick between either a killer only tome or survivor only locking you out of other one i.e pick killer lock out of survivor or something.
It's around 1400 matches to get to level 75 without doing a single challenge. With challenges included (doing all challenges) then it takes around 500 matches. You have 3 months to do this. If you don't play the game enough to do 500 matches in 3 months, you shouldn't be buying a battle pass.

Playing a decent or viable killer?
If I see a top tier perk can I dc?
No. No you cannot. As the devs have said "Your time to opt out of the match is in the lobby before it starts, not during the match." I think you should be allowed 1 free DC per day, then every one after that slaps you with a 30 minute ban. The ban does not increase over multiple disconnects, and never becomes permanent. I think this is the ideal solution to retain players while also preventing rampant disconnectors from being in the majority of matches.

I'm nowhere near new to dead by daylight, I've had my fair share of terrible games. I play on the ps4, and I just finished a game with a salty hillbilly player. I get people play how the want to and that's fine, but this guy had no reason to camp me nor to slug me.
Let me explain...
On Autohaven, one of my teamates gets found straight away, so I was hoping tp flashlight save them but he had infectious fright on. Therefore he begins chasing me but gives up due to me pallet looping him, he goes back to pick up the guy, luckily I get there quickly to flashlight save them. Unfortunately they get downed again and i can't save them, they get hooked in the basement. The other two also get caught and put in the basement too, so it's just me. I loop him around the shack for a bit, without the god pallet because it was used early.
I manage to save one of the players, the other two died on hook. I get hooked, and he just facecamps me until I'm in struggle, the player from early saves me but I get tunnelled and then slugged because of my ds. So I just dcd out of frustration.
How is that fair? Why the facecamp? Because I looped him for a bit and flashlighted him? I don't understand it.
(Also he messaged me calling me a crybaby? What? Haha)
Why did he call you a crybaby? Did you say something first? That seems like a strange thing to say to someone who couldn't communicate an outburst in-game and said nothing.
Also, why would you say he's salty from his gameplay? I've camped the second-to-last player before hoping to catch the other survivor trying to save them before without being upset at either one of them. It's not a GOOD strategy, but it works at low ranks.

Drop 15 pallets while being chased by the killer
Fully deplete 6 medkits
Heal a total of 10 health states of other survivors
Repair a total of 15 gens
Safely unhook a survivor who unhooked you earlier in the trial
Drop a pallet and stun the killer 2 times (single trial)
Completely repair 3 gens using the perk Dark Sense (single trial)
Safely unhook 15 survivors
Completely heal 2 health states of other survivors while using botany knowledge and a med kit (single trial)
Hook 2 survivors in the basement while using Agitation (single trial)
Earn 20 emblems of gold quality or higher
Interrupt and grab 1 survivor
Earn 200k bloodpoints
Catch a survivor in a trap 4 times as the Trapper (single trial)
Sacrifice 13 survivors to the entity
Chase survivors for 90 seconds while using Distressing (single trial)
Blind the killer 2 times (single trial)
Nice. I like these. Some will take multiple matches to complete. The only one that is actually pretty tough is the "grab a surv" one. I'll have to probably do gen grabber spirit or micheal to get that one.

Absolutely yes. I don't understand why people think there is a difference between controller and keyboard in playing survivor. You don't need the fast and accurate aiming of a mouse. The keyboard advantage only applies to shooters.
It would be really nice to be able to progress on my account from my ps4 and my pc. This would also mean I could play the game with my main account (pc) with my ps4 friends. I would 100% be willing to lose my ps4 save in order to use my pc account as the singular save file shared between the two.

My last comment was directed purely at SaintDenisSlasher in regards to his insistence that I’m a survivor main, which they are dead wrong about.
I’m not directing it at anyone else, or trying to turn it into a peen measuring contest.
I really don’t want to turn this into a fight.
Look, if yourself and many others are adamant that this change is necessary, fine, I have to respect that. I personally don’t feel like the change is warranted though.
But until such change does happen, and it may very well never happen, it can only help rather than hinder a killer using Hexes to learn ways to be adaptable if a hex gets destroyed within 30 seconds, because that’s the the current state of the game we’re all playing.
Well then I respect that. Thank you for being fair to both sides on that.

Oh, I didn't realize we were in the presence of nobility. Excuse me, sir. I'll learn to hold my peasant tongue in the future.
For real though you aren't the sole arbiter of what should and should not be changed. As it is now, hex perks as a mechanic is something the community is dissatisfied with and would like to be improved. Neither survivors or killers think the mechanic works as well as it could.

Lol, I’m far from being a survivor main. I only play survivor sporadically. I’m just able to have an unbiased, objective view on issues like this from both a killer perspective and survivor perspective.
Also nobody here has an unbiased view. The moment you say that your view is perfect, you have lost the ability to see any disagreement as valid. When you don't think valid disagreement is possible, you are not credible as being a reasonable person. And of course, being unreasonable is very very close to being illogical.

Lol, yes correct.
I guess what i’m getting at is many killers lose their Ruin at the beginning of the match then figuratively throw their hands in the air going “now what am I meant to do?!?!”
I almost never use Ruin, but I still don't think the risk should be a gamble of RNG. DbD is thought of by the devs as a very "player action" oriented game, where one player's actions have to be countered by the actions of their opponent.
There are many possible solutions to this hex issue, if you even think that hexes as a concept are flawed. There is no perk in the game that should be your entire game plan, including hexes. The perks are there to boost your chances of winning and to change your playstyle (or adjust the gameplay to maximize your playstyle.) My point is that hexes do not fit this idea. They are extremely powerful, but it is entirely based on luck whether or not you even get to have them during the match at all. If the devs disagreed with me on this, they would have never tmadded patches hiding totems better or adjusted their spawn location to not be within line of sight of survivor spawns.
Really something we have been asking for for a long time and still haven't gotten is to prevent totems from spawning within 10 meters of a generator or hook.

You’re only further validating my point as to why a killer should plan for what they want to do/how they want to play if that happens.
Is it your opinion that hex perks are not flawed?

@[Deleted User] said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/829908#Comment_829908
Why shouldn’t it be possible to cleanse it within 30 seconds? Based on what?
It’s repeatedly made abundantly clear since the implementation of Hexes that they can be spawned anywhere and be cleansed at any time. That risk is staring right in the face of any player that chooses to use a hex.
It’s entirely possible for the killer to find and hook a survivor within the first 30 seconds and face camp them to death. It’s a filthy, dirty tactic, and will frustrate the found survivor, but there’s absolutely nothing preventing that from happening either. Except that survivor isn’t losing a perk, they’re eliminated from the game entirely.
So then is it also a dirty tactic for survivor to do a hex they see right after spawning? No, of course not. The difference here is that the killer has no choice of where the hex spawns and they have no power to prevent this from happening. A survivor has the power to lead a killer on a chase. It is skill based. (Yes, it does take some level of skill to loop a killer, even if it is easy.) There is counterplay to the killer immediately finding you, and there is counterplay to facecamling that can make the killer lose the match. There is no counterplay to someone spawning on a hex.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Stop asking for the risk to be mitigated for some of the most powerful killer perks in the game.
If killers go into a match without a Plan B in case a hex is cleansed within 30 seconds, that’s on them. Too bad.
A hex shoild never be cleansed within the first 30 seconds imo.
However, a better solution would be to have a the perk still active after the totem is destroyed, but have it be severely nerfed.
Examples: Devour hope will always give you the little speed boost after hooking people no matter what, but the other two effects can only be used while the totem is still standing.
Ruin could cause regular skill checks to pause the gen but not regress it.
Lullaby could keep the missed skill check penalty but only delay/mute the sound while the totem is up.
Etc. Etc. You get the idea. Give hexes a weaker version of themselves after the totem breaks.
-
I think spirit is in a good place aside from prayer beads. All killers should be on around that level and survivors should be balanced toward that level of play.
