Same. Can't get into a lobby as killer. And as someone who plays almost exclusibely killer, this makes DbD super boring to me 😩

Jesus could some of you at least pretend to have above a 4th grade mastery of the English language?
Anyway these challenges are not hard, just situational. BHVR, please don't make challenges braindead.

I think this is my favorite post I have ever made on these forums.

Ok, so in all seriousness I think this list of cosmetic requests might be the most urgent list of requests BHVR has ever gotten

Wouldn't a stall perk like ruin or PGTW be better than bloodhound? Or do you have enough stall already with everyone needing to mend?
I personally think Ruin is massively overrated and I generally hate having the community think certain perks are mandatory. PGtW would be fun but I prefer knowing exactly where survivors are at all times

I dont anymore, they can be fun from time to time but the stun time and lack of speed add-ons really annoys me.
Reasons i can give you to play legion is because salt :-)
Isn't "mexican beaner" a redundant statement, since one word is a slur for the other word? Lol that guy is clearly a butt ass
-
I don't "main" any killer, but I thoroughly enjoy Legion. I run Bloodhound, Sloppy Butcher, Discordance, and Surveillance. I try to keep everyone injured and then follow their blood trails when they run from gens and down them as quickly as possible. If they run to a particularly good loop I will usually just abandon the chase and find someone else, or circle around and approach the generator again from the side that has the good loop, which usually gets them to run toward me for a sec and then turn around.

@SirClaver. Perhaps you are new in these forums, but these are killers' forums, and only killers deserve buff.
Most killers are fine with survivor buffs as long as they aren't going to make red ranks even worse for killer. Loads of survivor perks need quality of life buffs, and a few need entire reworks, but if someone proposed making Decisive Strike reusable, obviously we will disagree vehemently.
-
@PhantomMask20763 Damn, you may be right...
-
I disagree. If this was a pure stealth game, nobody would play it, or at least the amount of players would be significantly smaller.
Loops can be annoying, but what needs to change is the amount of good loops survivors are given in a map and how far apart each one is. The devs are currently working on this actually. There should never be a killer shack right next to a jungle gym, but it does happen currently. It won't be happening for much longer though.

Adding a totem counter would be the perfect way to balance NOED imo.
I think that should be part of small game rather than base survivor kit
-
Can we talk gay about Hegel instead? I would prefer that over talking straight about him.
-
It will be judged by not_Queen and Deathgarden's community manager.
-
And with totems giving you 1000bp you have no excuse not to do them anymore.
-
What if I WANT to kill the survivors endgame instead of at the beginning? I've always found NOED to be fine. Both as killer and as survivor. Just do totems, smh.
-
@BackByDaylight I really hope the next one is original. I love all of the original characters created by the DbD team and I will always want more. I am guessing it will probably be female, since the pattern has been F, M, F, M ever since Leatherface and Freddy came out one after the other. Legion could be seen as either since it is 4 people.
I'm guessing the power will involve something along the lines of creating a secondary objective, since the devs have had a lot of fun with making killer powers add stuff around the map or use the geography to their advantage lately.
Also yes there has been some demand for Candyman, but it's good for players to speculate and pitch ideas to the devs. Of course, those ideas won't be copied and pasted, but game developers often get great ideas sparked by reading community suggestions.

As a spirit main, besides perks, mind games are the only counter to spirit, phasing is based on the killers skill, not survivors skill, which makes her high tier, fun to play, but not fun to play against. Experienced spirits still finding you while phasing even with iron will etc
when I know someone has iron will, I instead watch for grass movement etc
Define "fun." Because if you can only have fun when you have control over the situation, than you could say no killers are fun to play as except Nurse and Spirit. Because those are the only two who feel like they have control in a chase.
-
Randomly around the map in the same places totems can spawn would be nice.
-
@Atrushan88 sadly yes. Everything these days tries so hard to be woke and Hollywood doesn't realize that stopped being popular in 2014 because it was being shoved down everyone's throats. I really hope the new movie will stick to Candyman as an artist first, and as a black man second. The race issue existed in the original, but it wasn't centerstage. But that may be an issue for a different forum post lol
-
I think having them at gens may be a smidge too much like Freddy's teleport sadly. But it would also have the unique twist of acting as surveillance. Hmmm, damn. Candyman has a lot of gameplay potential for DbD lol. He also fits the tone and aesthetic of the game so well! T-T
@Atrushan88 Do you think the new movie will fit the morbid psychological tone of the original? And portray Candyman as a twisted seductive artist rather than a slasher villain? If so I would be ok with the new portrayal being in DbD, but it would be really hard to beat Tony Todd's performance.
-
@Atrushan88 Yee I just meant his hand being turned into bees might not be as appropriate. Maybe open his coat and have all the bees swarm out? Idk, just throwing out ideas at the end of the day :)
So for your idea, how many mirrors are you thinking? I was imagining them being pretty much around every corner, so that's why I said murse tier, since he absolutely would be able to pop up in front of you

So you'll be low rank and most likely be pitted against new players, that kind of gameplay might drive away new players intentional or not. Not that long ago someone posted how they would intentionally play as the most toxic LF and camp and tunnel all the new players, making sure that they never ranked up. They also boasted about how they would bait the people in chat afterwards just so they can get them banned.
I'm not saying you're type of person but you know sometimes they're are valid reasons when people complain about camping and tunnelling
Sometimes. Yes. But I don't see a solution to griefing noobs without reducing the ability for high ranked players to play however they want. It is not an exploit to insidious basement camp. Maybe give players the ability to block other players so they don't get matched up again?
-
Idk if the mori would fit with the tone of the movie, since the only way we ever see him actually kill someone is by tearing his hook up their spine.
I think mirror placement being scattered all over the map would work fairly well. It would mean survivors would have to be careful where they are looking. Maybe like 30 mirrors? If the survivors look at the ground the whole time to avoid it, it would make them easier to attack as well. Remember, in DbD the killer generally has to be able to just run around and hit/chase people as they desire. Otherwise we wind up with one people dislike, like freddy.
The mirror idea is interesting though. I think it may be a bit disorienting for the killer though unless he looks at a mirror's aura, holds the power button to look through it, then can hit the attack button if he chooses to go through it or just release the power button if he is done looking through the mirror. This would be too strong though if it had infinite range. It would put him on nurse tier
-
"I don't want to have to play well to beat a killer, I want the game to be easy so I don't have to think" is basically what you are saying
-
@Atrushan88 Good point. But he also doesn't get to set them. So maybe make the ultra rare remove his bees entirely and just give him a 20 second cooldown
-
@BackByDaylight said:
Yeah probably bad idea im not sure my guy i wonder how there going to get the Bee's to work?
It could just be a particle effect the survivors see while they're in the Terror Radius, along with buzzing sounds and a screen overlay. That wouldn't be too hard to do. It's how flies and bugs are generally done in environments in games.
@Atrushan88 said:
2 minute cooldown on ultra rare seems extremely long. Several gens could be done in that time. Also that sounds like a little too much counterplay.
Yeah but you know how the community throws a fit if anything is above B tier
-
Leatherface is unquestionably the weakest killer after Freddy. But if not him, then either Pig or Trapper. I think those are the only three killers in the game that are unusably weak past rank 10. Doctor is ok for antiloop if you know how to use him.
-
I mean, he is a ghost, and in the first movie he flies out a window. But I don't think flying would be a good way to put him in either. Unless sort of hovering was just his walking animation, but idk if making a whole new walking animation would be necessary.
-
Basically this
-
@BackByDaylight said:
Do you think he should be able to walk on walls and ceilings ? Ive seen him walk on water well stand on it.
That probably wouldn't be the easiest thing in the world to implement lol
-
Nothing wrong with basement LF tbh. Just do gens. People hate hearing that, but those are the same people who refuse to do totems then call NOED overpowered.
-
She is tooooo fast with "teleporting"!!!
She doesn't teleport. Her movement speed while not using her power is slow as ass. She cannot see you while using her power. There is plenty of counterplay to the Spirit. I just led a spirit on a 4 minute chase lastnight and she had to give up and chase someone else. I also have played a LOT of spirit in my time playing DbD. She does have weaknesses. Examine them and take advantage of them.
-
If I notice a survivor and I think it would be a good idea to go attack them at the time, I will do it. It doesn't matter what made me notice them. This is not manually activated, so I don't think it could be counted as an exploit.
-
Yep, they are indeed the first. That's a good point. I hope they do make a big deal about it really.
-
Yes, I agree 100%

I think a reasonable solution would be to make the timer go down the same way plague infection buildup works. So sprinting and performing actions. And have the timer go down by 10% every time you drop a pallet or vault a window. Maybe give it 60 seconds by default with this change. This would make sense anyway because exerting yourself with a serious injury is going to do serious damage
-
I think they are all designed to be viable against brown and green ranks. But that's it.

I use Sloppy, Bloodhound, Surveillance and Thanatophobia. It makes survivors want to heal, but makes them take longer to do so. It is a great perk set to keep survivors off of gens so I have enough time to get some opportunistic downs by following blood trails.
If a chase takes longer than 20 seconds, consider abandoning it to protect gens. Another chance to get them will come and if you injured them they usually won't be working on gens for a while unless they are particularly confidant in their ability to loop you.
-
You can't please everyone. No matter what you do, you are going to piss some people off. It's ok. There's nothing wrong with that. Just play the way you want to play and don't use any exploits, then you're good.
-
Honestly I think Freddy is worlds better than Legion right now in terms of danger. At least freddy can see the auras of every survivor on the map with the purple photo and has mind game potential with the transition.
-
So, follow-up question for those who answered: Is Legion's Deep Wound status *meant* to be a threat?
Is wasting 10 seconds really powerful enough for that to be considered its primary function? From what I can tell, honestly, playing Legion feels about the same as playing Trapper without traps, but with slightly better tracking ability and the ability to slightly speed up for a time. I think Legion is currently a little below Trapper in terms of effectiveness.
-
@ReikoMori said:
Deep Wounds as a status isn't a threat. It is at best a time waster and at worst a non issue. I feel Deep Wounds is heavily flawed as it doesn't just belong to Legion, but also ties into Borrowed Time. Any change made to de with one affects the other and that means currently while Legion's use of it has been severely weakened. Borrowed Time as a perk has become much stronger.
Deep Wounds would be better off being a standalone injury state for Legion or just an injury state for BT, but not both. I feel when you make balance changes to a killer's power completely unrelated perks shouldn't see a proportional increase in strength.
I think making mend not pause the timer would at least be an ok tweak to make it feel slightly urgent. As it is now, you feel like you can just deal with it whenever it's convenient.

That's why making them lose progress will deter people like that.
