I don't know how young you are, but people are real dicks over the internet, like seriously. Don't take it so hard, letting things get to you is the worst thing something can happen to you psychologically. People who actually do the act in reality, no disrespect, but let it get to them to the point where they ended their own lives. That's not the way to go out, no, stay strong and don't let your imagination overtake you. A good exercise ethic is to breath in and out, think to yourself, "Am I really thinking about this when I could be destroying and getting through the ranks rapidly and having so much fun!".
People just try getting into your head, annoy you, make you feel like crap because you did yatata. Acknowledge that this is the internet, and although something can be done to minimize the amount of toxicity surrounding the game, pshh.. believe me, there will always be someone else there to fill in the role.

wait was rank reset today? I've been grinding 2k the last few days, haven't even opened DBD.

Making daily rituals related to perks is just like the one we have related to mori: if you don't have that specific perk (in this example) on a specific killer/survivor, it's automatically not worth doing it, because you'd have to spend bloodpoints to earn bloodpoints.
I'd rather take daily rituals related to different things like cleansing totems, breaking pallets, opening chest, regressing generators and so on.
While I do see it being a possibility on either side, even then I find objective or secondary objective quests would be very boring since you can easily do them. Think of them more as a challenge, even if it's a number over 3 or 5, it's still is pretty easy considering what rank the person is currently in.
I agree with the OP, I think the use of perks would be better and as the OP stated, "Stab the killer in the back one time", it relies on you getting caught, which is totally against the whole objective of the game, stay alive and do the main objective. Let's not forget we could have a mixture of these ideas implemented and even terror radius related for both sides. It doesn't hurt, or does it?
-
Jeez! Let survivors catch a break from all this bluff from killers. I play both sides equally just about, let me just say, mind game. Not all survivors are as wise as others, just use that gray (brain) thing in your head.
-
we don't need a one man unit to follow the flow, the rest of the community already knows. Stop making these posts. bait.

terrible, sorry to disagree so strongly but your negating a perk slot entirely based on a map. just because a maps strongly synergises with a perk doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed, i mean what if we stopped ruin from spawning on the grim pantry? or pop goes the weasel from being used in the game/lerys as the gens are so close together? or an even better example disabling distressing on lery's/the game as it makes terror radius's "too big"? or for a survivor sided example it would be like disabling lithe on lerys, or head on within the basement.
badham is already being reworked and from the ptb seems to be amazing, theres like 3-4 possible bl spots off the top of my head now? i know the house is still there and you can leap down to the basement off the preschool. and there's also the basement which is on every map. honestly bl isn't as bad as it once was on that map.
If the perk synergies too strongly with the map, adjust the map not disable the perk. make blockers which halt the sprint burst and make it easier to catch up, or take out excessive leaps etc. haddonfield is an example of something that needs a rework against specifically the 4bl squads who will use every window loop and the stun reduction to gain too much distance and time. and that could be adjusted by limiting higher story window loops, and making them force the player into open areas with limited pallets etc, or even better leave window loops with open doors for the killer to chase through so they can more easily chase survivors and aren't "cucked" per say by a window vault.
Well writing all that just because of a mistake. Happens to the best of us.

Top500 here, Overwatch has never been balanced, never will be because of them neglecting the balance of the game but adding more heroes, resulting in harder balancing. No wonder they are making another OW suppose to be announced at Blizzcon. No DBD is not close and near the embarrassing show that Blizzard themselves have put them in.

fix their faces to be accurate
-
I doubt that there will be a DbD / Stranger Things Chapter.
Pretty sure they said they need to be humanoid, the demogorgon has limbs and other body parts just like an ordinary human.
-
It was pretty cool when I was 1 hit away from being downed and right next to the hatch on the hill, 360'd the killer until the timer for the last survivor died by the hook and he fell off the hill and the hatch opened. It isn't high IQ but it was super cool.

So it will be looped by survivors until all gens are done and its power will be nerfed into uselessness, got it. :P
Although it's likely, let's think about the positive of such a cool looking creature in the game opening the doors for more possibilites.
-
They aren't too difficult, but the thing that puts me off about it is that if you don't want to lose a pip, you kinda need to and the effort for 20-30 sometimes even 60 doesn't seem worth it to me.

I could be remembering this wrong, but I thought I read that the Devs said they were only going to make human killers? Something about them needing to be human to fit the Entity's criteria. Again, I could be wrong and I don't really feel like searching for sources in the middle of the night. I just think that if that is true, it could poke a hole in this theory.
They did say no to clown killers once and look where we are now! It's definitely not out of the question with how indecisive they can be and confusing at times.
-
It sounds cool and all, but how will the price and how will the chance of crafting a certain add-on with green add-ons produce let's say a Iridescent head? Or will it not be luck/chance based? I'd prefer from whatever rarity you have and make it into a chance system.
-
I honestly wouldn't touch her much. Huntress is in a good spot, but every buff to her pixel she receives is good for her. I would like that buff, it doesn't sound too bad.
The sound for Jeff is often now for everybody, even if he's is worse, every survivor is currently in the same patch of being on a falling rollercoaster and screaming their lungs out, that's how loud it's gotten and I think they need to decrease the sounds for every survivor, not just Jeff.

It may be functional, but as it stands the devs did the exact opposite of what they promised and goofed up the timing. It should be a 1/3rd of a second faster than what it is.
I guess? The 1/3 I guess is huge but I really don't see it affecting a killer while in a chase, and even so with Spirit Fury. No one runs enduring often anymore without spirit fury. This though, the malfunction and f up on a perk is embarrassing and should be fixed immediately.
-
Oh believe me it's been for a while, and a long while in fact. The developers sometimes just refuse to fix common issues and even if they don't intend to, it really seems like they procrastinate their own jobs on the bug topic. This will not be soon fix I believe, and it will take them a few months although the countless amount of people complaining about it.
You lose your offerings? This usually occurs when someone has DC'd and better yet the killer. When this happens it doesn't delete my offerings, maybe a restart should be good after? It's actually embarrassing for this to still be running around.
-
I mean I guess? You'll still catch up to the guy either way in the chase, it doesn't look too bad for enduring. You'll still be able to be present in the chase and not lose the person. It doesn't look that affecting.
-
I mean, to be completely fair and to be completely honest, I believe and everyone else believes probably that is a survivor main, that they think that and believe that, ok ill stop. It's really depressing to be on the survivor side and average around 20-25k BPS with a really good game. BP in generally should be buffed and those pesky add-ons that are 75% for this category should just become worse escape cakes.
-
Being capped at 30fps and being on a controller is literally limiting, but still worth getting. Things like HOPE makes it feel you're on M&K on console in EGC and it's actually so much fun, you can literally 360 for an hour and a half if you really wanted haha.
It's worth getting, lucky me I got it when the PS4 plus thing came around, never regretted deleting 2-3 games to get this game, already have spent 120+ for this wonderful game even if it caps me. I'll be moving to PC soon though and testing it for myself. Go for it, it's fun and maybe play with someone in the forums.
-
Overwatch is super toxic and stressful, especially every season when I'm in the brink of losing top500 countless amount of times and barely get in.
NBA2K is super fun, but MYTEAM is really exhausting and boring and I often just abandon the game after 20m for the next day or longer.
DBD is currently religion for me, I play it too often. It's the religion I practice x3

As powerful as the Nurse is, I wouldn't recommend learning her until you have at least like 300~400 hours killer experience with everyone else. She will spoil you. She does not play the game like any other killer. Yes, she's hard to learn, but with every other killer, you have to learn to play the game. With the Nurse, you don't learn to play the game -- you just learn how to play Nurse.
Learning Nurse and then trying to play all of the other kills makes it very difficult. Learning the other killers first and then the Nurse isn't as bad. You become more aware of the map layout, of where survivors like to hide, learn how to react to how other survivors play and adapt accordingly, and all other kinds of skill sets which can be used to your advantage to learn Nurse easier even if they are applied differently to her, but don't translate well for all the other killers.
Also when learning Nurse, I very much recommend you get at least one buddy (more preferred) to help you practice in a Kill Your Friends session. I did this with my brother when he wanted to learn her. Went from us being able to juke him around for over 10 minutes to us lasting barely 20 seconds against him over a long six hour KYF game. We juked against him, used stealth against him, etc, and he learned how to adapt to it all and wrecked face for many games even in high ranks in his first real games against random survivors.
The biggest skill for Nurse is simply muscle memory. If you want to use range add-ons, learn Nurse with those add-ons. Changing range, or how fast you charge your power, will completely muddle all of your muscle memory.
This is seriously true, at first I disagreed but then I thought "The moment you learn Nurse who avoids most defenses a survivor has is limiting your experience". Follow this persons words, being able to know the game mechanics and mind-games with other killers will give you good past experience but knowledge most importantly.

Pretty sure Peanits said that they skipped it because the questions were too similar.
Questions being repetitive and similar are two things that have correlation with each other. It just shows how the health to them doesn't matter. The most important questions are the ones that are similar to others. Like come on, give an update for crying out loud, it's your game.

Sucks to be you I guess
That's the wrong attitude - It's definitely an issue right now even if someone is in an SWF. The system fuxking sucks for players on the survivors side. It's in the killers control often if you de-pip or pip and he can decide what happens with your rank because of his decision, which while is meant for the killer to kill people and the reasoning is there, it's not to ruin the other sides experience.
-
I mean who doesn't know this already 😂? The mobility on console and fps is much less than on a PC and a PC can actually modify it if the hardware itself is modified. It's super annoying it's capped and the knowledge over the game for people sometimes can be so minuscule it's actually sometimes embarrassing to be a part of the PS4 community, combined with the amount of toxicity.

that sounds is from GhostFace. The next killer is the 17.
How can you guarantee that? Maybe it was scraps from the Q's for GhostFace and turned down, but the similarities between this and the actual track music is super similar.
-
If the next killer is something like the 'demogorgon' from Stranger Things, I would definitely say it would be a possibility. A stretch? Possibly, mori's are deaths after all, but they don't need to be so brutal always. With what we saw as possibly still the most brutal mori 'hag's' I can see such thing coming into the game though.

It does sound similar and that demogorgon thing looks scary as hell. I have ti admit I don't know anything about stranger things, though. Anyone know whar kind of "abilities" that thing has?
It often looks like this: (Not a fan of Stranger Things either)
It goes hostile mode everytime it's caught by an eye, rapidly proceeding to kill it's victim and which relies more on instinct than intelligence. It can detect blood and is from an underworld where it eats it's prey. It can teleport from it's dimension to ours. It's just a killing machine for food.

It's why I have recommended rank-based tweaks. At purple ranks, survivors get a 5-10% repair speed debuff. Increase it to 15% at red ranks.
Basically, whether it is nerfs, or new map objectives, the higher rank you climb, the harder the maps should be for both.
This opens up a cool idea,
It would be difficult for the game engine to do rank-based balancing but that would be excellent. I personally think because how different ranks can be, this would be definitely a sweet addition.
-
Agreed.
I'm a player who plays a little bit more survivor but I think there is no incentive to rank up, and I'm still confused if de-ranking on purpose is ban able. It's just a trash bag of SWF, gen rushing, when you can have a better time not in red ranks, but in lower ranks. I find the purple and high green ranks the most fun.

I mean if you need prayer beads to get kills then sorry to say it you suck at Spirit.
Sorry but saying someone "sucks" because they are using a game mechanic is silly. If it's there to grab, why not utilize it?
To the point, maybe as others say it would be better if it was that everyone would hear the phasing sound, instead of one person. I play Spirit at rank 7, and it's sometimes ridiculous on how potent and siding the game can turn to become.
-
In a SWF, the game can get really easy and you or your friend(s) can get easily carried away and still escape because of that communication and teamwork. I'm not going to say who's harder and who's easier but solo and killer are both pretty challenging. SWF totally merks a killers life while, contrary to solo though, it's a gamble with teammates.

Ok, so running this with BBQ and/or whispers (I have to assume many killers will do this) would be WAY too OP, still a no from me.
For ‘HeyItsNick123andnea’, this will result in the opposite effect you described. This won’t push survivors off gens to hurry an unhook...because more than likely, they’re exposed.
I didn't mean the description directed to Shadow Watcher, I gave an extra on what other things I think should be punished on survivors, hence why I proposed my perk. I don't think you got the idea. :)
-
I love Shadow Watcher.
We need more perks to pressure people into saving and abandoning the main objective, which is obviously generators.
Anti Climax - Every time you're 25 meters or more from the hook, the hooked survivor screams. Every scream issued by the hooked survivor let's out a scream to the rest of the survivors, and reveals each other survivor currently not on the hook to give a 3 second blinking revealing their aura. If the hooked survivor isn't saved in 60 seconds, if you're 35 meters or more from the hook, your terror radius will be set to 0 and every survivor will scream every 10 seconds until the survivor is either unhooked or someone gets into a chase, which cancels the ability. If the killer after 60 seconds is found in 12 or less meters from the hook, they'll be punished with the blink effect for a duration of 3 seconds every 30 seconds.
What does this do? It punishes selfish survivor play, and forces them to work somewhat like a team, but it also privileges those killers who aren't camping to get people off generators, but punishes them for a waste of a perk slot.
It punishes the killers who camp who would be wasting a perk slot, and also with the blind effect.

Problems relating towards Chucky being in DbD:
1: Hooks.
Hooks would have to be significantly smaller, in order to fit Chucky's height, which could give Survivor's a competitive advantage at knowing who the Killer is right off the bat by knowing the Hook's height. Plus, it would be silly seeing Survivors getting hooked off of a baby meat hook.
2: Size.
Killers such as Legion and Hag already have a disadvantage AND advantage for their smaller heights. Coldwind is hell on most smaller Killers, and playing as Chucky on there would be absolutely painful. However, the advantage that Legion gets off of their height is the small chance of confusing the Survivors into thinking they're a Survivor if they bring perks such as Tinkerers or Monitor, however, for Chucky, he would just have a huge advantage in general, as he could easily avoid flashlights, it would be harder to pallet stun him, and he'd be easier to lose in a chase. (Disadvantage on that last part for anyone playing him)
Your idea isn't half bad though! It's just that mechanics and map layouts in the game might need to be looked further into if they ever decided to implement someone like Chucky into the game.
Hooks would be easily countered if Chucky because it's a possessed doll, that is transports it's soul into the survivors and proceeds to hook themselves, once the survivor is hooked, Chucky would be forced to leave the body by the Entity.
On the size though, I'd have to agree. Couldn't see how people who flashlight the doll, etc...

I'm not a pro user, because I have a regular PS4, but try looking at the amount of storage you have left, the games you're running, and the capacity of the console. It probably won't work but I know this issue. Whenever I get into the application, it sounds like my game is next to an airplane, it literally sounds horrible.
I do though have experienced recent crashes because of save data, and it has been rampant. This is definitely weird, if anything, I would think this has to do with your hardware of your PS4, or possibly the storage capacity. Maybe your PS4 is being clocked up too far.

We quoting the guy who just straight up lies about facts again?
He didn't specify which perk, so I made a post relative to Ruin as an example. I mean it is pretty true that giving us the tools should only be a band aid and not long term.
-
Contradictory to the post, I'm not going to read it without any paragraphs, but I do thank for what they've done for the game, and their players. People need to recognize we are humans, we can get better, and we will proceed to get better if they decide to.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
Ruin isn't even the answer. I'm rank 1 surv. My rank 1 friends and I don't even care about Ruin, we power through gens anyway. We can easily do gens super fast because once you learn to hit great skill checks, Ruin is worthless. Games still only last like 6 minutes at our rank.
Gens need a limit to how fast they can be done overall so that there is a minimum time limit to how fast a game can be. That's the only solution. Second objectives will do nothing to solve the issue because survivors will just rush that too. Rushing needs to be made impossible or else it will just continue to happen.
Totally, but the point that I don't think people are understanding and capturing from my post is that not that Hex: Ruin is prevalent, but it can make a killer great, such as the Trapper, which is pretty dependent on it to be honest. It should NOT be an answer to killers in difficult times. It should not be a substitute for a killers issue in the meta game.
-
What I think bothers everyone is characters like the Trapper cannot function fast enough to be able to perform their power before half of the generators are popped, hence being dependent on a perk. This is extremely unhealthy, powers are entitled their rightful name because they are in fact "powers", not a waste of time.
Yes, a "waste of time", because although it's important to do whatever the power needs you to do, or being a trapper, by the time they are all up, they will have 2 gens left. Let me say this much, smart survivors won't let 1 die if they don't need to at that rate. In conclusion, I think dependency on something is unhealthy for the game, and as a result punishes the killer's rating.
-
Was it intentional though? I mean yeah it's good because it's bugged, but once they fix it, it should be back to it's same position. Maybe they should leave it how it is but with some tweaks, might become a good perk 👀
-
I understand how you feel, and I feel great for you, but the vast majority of us would prefer Freddy to have a stronger map presence more than anything. I do agree though, I love the Play with your food and Furtive Chase combo. Why PWYF? PWYF makes loops easier for the guy since you're faster. Leaving and chasing your obsession should be decisive, and you may or may not go for them.
Freddy, in my opinion, greatly benefits from perks that give the "exposed" status, like make your choice, etc..
-
@Horus said:

Not much, just started getting into the killer side of things. I definitely wanna utilize PWYF though. Thanks!
