What exactly do you want from his sprinting and strength?

You want him to bust through breakable walls with no cooldown or just run through everything and easily get a hit on survivors?

or maybe you want him to be able to scale buildings like in RE3 with a long distant sprint jump?

Because that's what bringing in Nemesis kit from RE3 would be like if it was 100% faithful and i can safely tell you with a straight face that for a game like DBD, those types of power would get severely dumped down or changed in some way to even remotely be called balance.

I literally just told you I'm not looking for 100% accuracy. All I want is those abilities to be in his power at some form. Specifically the rocket and the sprint. Even if he was the worst killer in the game I just want those in the game in his power. That's all I've ever asked for.

So he would probably be a mobility killer then. I haven't played RE5 nor have I watched it but I just hope they don't mess him up.

Yep. He can have a really nice feeling type of movement. Really smooth probably. RE5 as a game... Well it's mixed for a lot of people. Some really like it and some hate it. 1 undeniable thing though is Wesker is such a badass and cool villain. He deserves the most respect possible because he is the most iconic main villain in RE.

And giant mutant monsters shouldn't be using rocket launchers, it's silly.

Yeah well he became one of gaming's most iconic bosses because of it so I doubt many agree.

  • @Krazzik said:

Nemmy doesnt really need any changes though, he's a decently-strong killer with a decent pick rate. Freddy though is weak, boring and unpopular, he needs another full rework.

It's about accuracy for me. Not strength. He plays nothing like how Nemesis should.

Rocket Launcher is not even a balance issue, it's a matter of fact that it doesn't thematically fit in a game like DBD since there are no guns in the game in general aside from deathslinger, but even his gun was created in a extremely specific way.

Even Cote has said in past interviews that there was no plans to add a rocket launcher to his kit since like i said, DBD has no guns besides Deathslingers harpoon gun and that the only discussion there was about it at all was maybe adding it to the mori, so yes, even they don't agree with you. But i guess to you non of that matter as the only thing you care about is accuracy and will disregard any other aspects.

Ok well what about his iconic sprint and strength? Where is that? And I mean in his power. I want to be able to run straight through pallets.

  • @RenRen said:

I wonder what Wesker's power would even be. All I remember is he has tentacles and a gun but I don't think they'll do another tentacle cause nemesis but I don't think they'll do a gun.

He has super speed basically. He is like the flash. He literally dodges bullets.

  • @Blueberry said:

It sounds as silly as giving an machine gun to Legion. It sounds like a joke.

Legion is a small human and Nemesis is a giant mutant monster with a huge intimidating rocket launcher. That's like saying the TMNT would be silly with a shotgun but Batman would look cool with it.

  • @Smoe said:

You'll set yourself up for a disappointment if you expect a 100% accurate to source material chapter since some things are very likely to be changed in some way for the sake of balance or for thematic reasons, that's why you will never get a rocket launcher for nemesis or Nemesis getting his kit from RE mastermind no matter how much you beg for it.

Lucky for you I never and never wanted 100% accuracy. I just want him to still be accurate since Wesker CAN fit in DBD with his powers when balanced correctly just like a rocket launcher and a sprint.

A rocket launcher would look goofy in DBD, I definitely would not like to have that.

Yeah because were in a situation where we never got it. Also I don't get how a rocket launcher is goofy. It's not like a toilet seat as a weapon or something. It's cool.

  • @Blueberry said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2955947#Comment_2955947

A rocket launcher in DBD is just straight up silly. That would not fit the game whatsoever. Micromanagement of zombies is a skill.

I'm sure many people would accept a rocket launcher if Nemesis was done right the first time and you know it. You probably would to.

  • @Adjatha said:

Yeah. The original map is just fine, but it's WAY too big. It just needed to be divided into two, either east/west or 1st/2nd floor. You don't need to gut the whole thing.

Yeah that's what I'm scared of. I won't mind it as long as the original version stays in some way. Maybe still in public !at he's as 1 of the many variations but this time like I said with a specific area cut off at random.

"If people wanted power then you'd be seeing a lot more Artists or something or a humungous amount of Spirits which isn't really the case."

I think that's an incorrect correlation to make. You don't see Artist because it's hold W the game, which is boring. That has nothing to do with what we're talking about. You did see a lot of Spirits before, the only reason you don't know is because they gutted her. Once again, unrelated to what we're talking about.

"I mean half of his power doesn't even have a skill. What are the zombies?"

That's entirely the point I'm making. The zombies could be highly skillful if changed more. They could turn into something similar to 2017 Freddy where their skill was in micromanaging the map and trying to pincer survivors into them. You can kind of do that now, but nothing of much significance or just getting lucky with their placement.

The zombies would never be as skillful as a rocket launcher or sprint ability if implemented correctly. If they are implemented CORRECTLY. I don't get how something Nemesis can't control at all is as skillful as a sprint or rocket, 1 more time, if implemented correctly. People act like a running power can't have any depth or a rocket launcher and all the other ones that exist do.

    1. I admit Saddler was a bit of reach, but I still think he'd work better than Nemesis.
    2. I don't see how Jack is in any way, shape, or form "just another version of Mr. X". No offense, but have you actually played RE7? The only thing he has in common with Mr. X is that they're both physically strong; but you can say that about a #########-ass ton of RE villains. The reason why I say he is the best pick for an RE killer is because he's very human-like, and directly inspired by franchises like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Evil Dead; which are both things that inspired DbD. Jack has actual personality and charm. Not to mention, he has way more options for a power. Swapping between different weapons, creating Molded (and I'm not talking about just having a pair of them patrol the map like Nemesis' zombies. This would be way more in depth, with him being able to create different kinds that do different things), or even switching between the different family members who would each have their own ability's and attributes.
    3. "Mother Miranda barely did anything to make her worthy of a killer." Again I gotta ask (and I'm seriously not trying to be rude), but have you played RE8? Miranda was Spencer's inspiration for creating Umbrella, hell he even got the design for the logo from her. Without her, Umbrella would have never been created; we would not have a Resident Evil. No Tyrants, no Albert Wesker, no Nemesis, no Chris, no Leon, no Jill, no nothing. Not to mention she's slaughtered thousands in her pursuit to resurrect her daughter. I'd say that's pretty damn worry of being a killer. As for a power, she could shapeshift into just about anything, and also control the Mold like vines. That's way cooler and easier to implement than anything Nemesis has to offer.
    4. I'd choose Heisenberg over Nemesis any day of the week. Just like with Jack, he has an actual personality and motive; unlike the Tyrants. Not to mention, controlling electricity and metal is way cooler and inspired than anything Nemesis could offer. I imagine he'd have some cool interactions with generators.
    5. "As for Birkin, you already got him". Since when does Birkin run around hitting people with a tentacle and infecting them with the T-virus?I've seen you consistently call DbD Nemesis Birkin, and I have never once understood why because they're nothing alike.

I just want to state that in my opinion, Nemesis' rocket launcher and flamethrower would never fit in DbD. Heavy weapons like that just don't fit the theme of the game. Hell, guns in general don't really work, that's the why the closest thing we've ever gotten to one is spear gun. That basically leaves Nemesis with sprinting, roaring, infecting people, and hitting people with a tentacle as his only options for a power; all of which we've already gotten in some way before.

Lastly, I just wanna say that I respect your opinion and dedication to Nemesis. From day one though, I've never once thought he'd work in Dead by Daylight, though.

I have 100% completion for both RE7 and RE8 and bought the collectors edition. I love those games. But Nemesis is clearly a better pick in DBD. And Birkin does infect people. Nemesis in DBD is centered around his mutation and infecting people. A big part of Birkin and not at all one of the iconic or huge parts of Nemesis. Nemesis is the pursuer. He's not a zombie general. That fits more of Birkin because as you know he created the virus' so it makes sense that he would have them. In RE3 the zombies were just there. They had nothing to do with Nemesis. That's why he is more like Birkin then Nemesis. The ONLY thing he has that is Nemesis like in his gameplay is that he just simply has the tentacle but the way he uses it is completely wrong.

Jack baker, eve and particularly wesker would all be great additions as killers, rather than whippy.

And Nemesis would've been better then all of them if they chose him.

  • @Canas said:

Like I alread mentioned on your YouTube video, Nemesis really got done dirty by BHVR. He's too small (despite being the tallest killer in DbD) and simply lacks the proper representation when it comes to his iconic move arsenal. Zombies as a stage hazard would have made sense on RPD but as a power it's simply questionable. Nemesis is a lone-wolf, he doesn't work with zombies.

I'd love to see a rocket launcher for him as something he can maybe pick up or build from gathering lootcases which survivors can sabotage or move to slow down his inevitable powerspike. I also hate how they gave every single uninfected survivor a third health state basically when he tries to use his tentacle, it's simply too much in a game that's already dominated by survivors.

Yeah I the whole zombies thing was an attempt to bring RE as a franchise to DBD which obviously doesn't really work since they are completely different. He was definitely misunderstood. If he had the NE-a Parasite zombies maybe I'd be less annoyed but here it's just zombies which like you said he doesn't work with zombies. They are just there.

Unlike Nemesis, Freddy had a good start? Wait, what? Freddy got nerfed 1 week after his release and than he was 2 years the weakest killer in the whole roster.

Do you mean the reworked Freddy? Otherwise nothing you said makes sense.

I'm talking about aircraft to the character. Freddy was cooler then.

  • @Valik said:

As a Nemesis main, I must firmly disagree. I find Nemesis to be one of the most engaging, entertaining, and balanced killers on the roster.

While he hast to hit survivors 1-2 more times over the course of the game, once he gets out of tier 1 - he can pop hits like candy. Asking a Nemi player to get 4-8 additional tentacle hits over the course of the match isn't asking much, especially when you're one of the strongest anti-loop pallet-muncher killers in the game and have access to free information and pressure through zombies.

I'm not talking about strength. I'm talking about accuracy to the character. I'm a Nemesis main to and I agree he is fun and is actually one of the more balanced killers. He's not Nemesis though.

"Unique but unique doesn't mean fun"

    Never implied it did.

"Most people I guarantee would've preferred A more accurate Nemesis if it was in the game."

I disagree. I think people would prefer a more unique game play Nemesis that's more powerful and with potential for a higher skill ceiling.

If people wanted power then you'd be seeing a lot more Artists or something or a humungous amount of Spirits which isn't really the case. Plus the other power could easily have an even higher skill ceiling. I mean half of his power doesn't even have a skill. What are the zombies?

  • @QwQw said:

William Birkin, Dr. Saddler, Jack Baker (the best pick out of all of these), Karl Heisenberg, and Mother Miranda would all work better than Nemesis in my opinion. I don't think any Tyrant would fit well, because they're supposed to be almost robotic moving walls. Nemesis was at least better than Mr. X or Wesker, though.

I know why they picked Nemesis however; it's because they knew he'd sell, not because he'd actually fit in DbD.

Saddler doesn't really fit at all. Jack is just another version of Mr. X and if you say something about the mold, that is basically the type of garbage they did to Nemesks. Don't give him powers he doesn't control. Mother Miranda barely did anything to make her worthy of a killer. Heisenberg can fit but really why would you choose him? As for Birkin, you already got him. That's the problem with Nemesis. Some forget that the Nemesis in DBD is simply not Nemesis. He can fit but people use his current state in DBD to say that he doesn't. He definitely does. They just gave him a power that Birkin would've had. So yeah you already got Birkin with a Nemesis skin over him basically.

  • @GoshJosh said:

Yeah, it would be great to have OG Freddy back with some tweaks! It would also bring back at least one beloved player, @GeneralV .

As far as Nemesis, I just can’t see them integrating his weapon arsenal into DbD in any meaningful way. What’s he going to do, use a rocket launcher to blow away tiles he doesn’t like? And even if the flamethrower only did something simple like slowly burn pallets over time, it was still a huge gas tank on his back that heavily slowed him down - and you ultimately destroy to damage him.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2953106#Comment_2953106

I think all things considered, Nemesis was the best pick. He was hard set on chasing and eliminating Jill the entire game. Just curious, who do you think would be a better fit from RE into DbD? Mr. X just trudges after you all of RE2 except the end of the game, a lot of other enemies in the series are very fast-moving or gigantic (like Nemesis in later mutations). But I haven’t played all of the games. So just wondering who you think would translate well into DbD.

The rocket launcher would have an obvious use. Destroy any object that has been breakable and just down the survivors. Maybe if you wanted anything you break with the rockets fly around and can hit the survivors. Like pieces of wood from pallets or walls. There is something you can do. And it doesn't matter if it's not unique, it'd be much more fun to blow someone away than see zombies gets stuck everywhere. It'd be like his punches. Sure it works the same as any killer basic attack but it is still more fun since it is now just a hard punch. So now he'll shoot a really funny explosive rocket to decimate everyone.

  • @QwQw said:

Yeah, Old Freddy is so much better than Modern Freddy. He wasn't the strongest, but he was at least fun.

Nemesis though, I disagree with. He certainly sucks alright, but in my opinion, he always was a terrible pick for an RE killer. He's supposed to be an unstoppable force, so to put him in a game like DbD he'd need to be extremely nerfed to point where he doesn't even feel like Nemesis anymore; which is exactly what Behavior ended up doing.

Nemesis was the perfect choice. He has the abilities that can fit perfectly in the game. The rocket launcher and the sprint would make him pretty lethal and fast for the maps. He was perfect but they decided to not EVEN nerf him like you said. They did worse. They didn't need those abilities which honestly I would've been fine with as long as they were fun and in the game still, no, they just did zombies. Well the zombies ended up being boring because surprise! Having a power you can't control half of isn't really fun. But yeah he was 100% the best choice you could've made but some just misunderstand how you can easily do Nemesis and make him balanced. It's not about how much he can use his abilities even though in DBD he can still use them pretty decently, it's more important to just have them. He could've easily been like A tier with the right balancing.

That doesn't matter at all to me.

They are unique design and could've differentiated the game play from other killers. The basic whip anti-loop game play is just rehashed from multiple other killers and not a unique experience.

Unique but unique doesn't mean fun. Most people I guarantee would've preferred A more accurate Nemesis if it was in the game.

Doesn't matter if they do. Just like REsistance and probably the new Texas Chainsaw game people will rather play that when they want to play Ash Williams. When people want to play as Nemesis then play REsistance. When people wanna play Leather face just play this new Texas Chainsaw game. When people wanna play the inevitable Jason, just play F13. If you wanna play DBD then you'll just play DBD. It won't have anything to do with those licenses anymore since better versions of them are being and have been made already. DBD just waters them down. I get it but like I said if people are looking to specifically play that license or character they'll insteas play those other games.

Getting it to run stably at 30fps would be a start lol :’)

If the game was running on equivalent hardware in a PC it would just by adjusting settings.

It went out the window when instead of optimising performance they added in all the fancy lighting and effects instead.

I’d be happy if they gave us the option to strip all that stuff away and get the game running as smooth as possible.

Battlefield Hardline was 60fps around PS4 launch and had massive maps with loads of verticality, vehicles and 15v15 players. Battlefield V is 60fps on a Pro.

The hardware is not the problem, the devs just left the format to die :/

Hell even new PS5 games like Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West are much bigger in scale, mechanics during gameplay, look much better and still run great at 30fps on a base PS4.

I agree with 30FPS. That shouldn't be an issue. I think 60 is quite a bit on a standard PS4. PS4 Pro can run a bunch of games at 60 so it could on that probably but I doubt it can on a PS4 base.

  • If I of all people can actually play pretty good on it as both sides then others can to.

  • Finally RPD isn't getting dumped on.

Nemesis shortly after launch kinda faded away for a bit but I do actually see him a decent amount these days. But when after the launch I saw a little period of like rare Nemesis. Maybe just because of the problems. But Artist while you may not find her strong, many others did. And people keep saying they want strong killers right? Well what happens when a strong killer comes out for those people? Well I saw 1 yesterday and that was after weeks of no Artist sightings from just me though. I don't think many play her.
