What was that even like? Like how could it be worse than the current state? I know I started back when the huntress came out and had her as my main for the longest time but I don't really remember how it was like back in the day.

    Higher costs

  • It depends. How would you earn them exactly? What can you even get out of them? And how much can they be bought for? If it's like a dollar a box then maybe. I'd just hope the ways to get them are not too ludicrous and the reward better be decent. I'd it gives you the cosmetics that usually only can be bought with auric cells sure. If I decided to pay for loot boxes it has to be cheaper than the skins. That why I say $1 a piece/box.

  • So you just want a nerf because he is annoying?

  • It should definitely remove it. Gen tapping still does something to the game.

Whether or not you used DS before, the fact someone in your team was carrying it put some pressure on the killer, with the idea that maybe someone had it slotted. Now, with the perk being completely pointless and useless, there's nothing standing in the way especially for higher tier killers. You will get tunneled out of the game within 1 minute of the match. I'm already seeing it happen.

Four matches in a row, 2 Tricksters, 1 Spirit and 1 Nurse, somebody was tunneled out of the game with 5-4 generators left.

And no, Borrowed Time doesn't fix this. Having to rely on other people carrying a perk just so you can play the game, when people literally farmed each other without anything even when the DS anihilation hadn't gone through, that's not going to help in the slightest.

So, the question is now, what are you going to do to allow people to play the game?

Maybe this'll encourage smarter plays because they know they aren't invincible.

Not really. Someone made a fantastic point about this and this is another reason why I extremely dislike this new Leatherface rework.

("Since his introduction he’s been the most broken killer for camping, and now so more than ever. We were told his face camping potential was going to be addressed, but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to not rev the chainsaw at the hooked survivor, considering the charge time is about the same time it takes to unhook a survivor. Chainsaw eats through two health states and even BT.

Now they’ve made it so he can use his chainsaw in chase better, which requires very little skill compared to Billy. He is killer on training wheels.

To make him more skillful and fair, I think he should only do one health state damage per chainsaw, but in return reduce the sprint survivors get from damage by half. That way he can still get downs with multiple charges, but not just be brain dead staring at a hook as easily." - GoshJosh Posted March 27th).

    I agree with this statement.

With old Leatherface, it wasn't as daunting to save someone off a hook, even when he continually revved his chainsaw. He wasn't able to eat through two health states and BT when someone would go for an unhook with BT.

New Leatherface is actually quite broken with how far he can go with just using his chainsaw. Yes, there is a way to loop it - Drop a pallet early or run around two medium sized objects as he comes after you (can work sometimes).

Old Leatherface was more skillful because you had to use your chainsaw in a appropriate time. You need to apply pressure and most of that playstyle would give you a 4k in result. But with this new one, you can pretty much not give a fat cock about the gen pressure and just down people in just a few seconds because of how easy it is - not to mention you can use perk builds to give you a advantage that can help you win the match easily. (Tinkerer, Pop, BBQ and whatever else). There is probably more then just those perks because basement bubba is extremely terrifying right about now. (Which isn't a thing as much now because people know how powerful Bubba is now).

Old Leatherface wasn't not at all more skillful. Just simply harder to play because he was just worse. He takes a lot more skill than some think. I'd even honestly say a slight bit more than Billy sometimes trying to perfect go around objects. And if he camps, just leave the person to die. There is nothing you can do either than give him no more kills. He doesn't need a nerf in anyway. If anything happened to hit he should get another buff.

  • I'm more excited for chapter 20 the this.

  • @GhostMaceNotCrusty said:

I love the killer. I think it'd be cool of they did something like they did with stranger things and give us 2 survivors, preferably leon and claire

That probably will happen. I want that as well.

So basically, Mr X from Resident Evil Resistence

He has a bit more than that. But basically yes. Still gonna feel different to play obviously. Not much else you can do with his. You could add in his 2nd form as like an endgame thing or something.

  • @Marc_go_solo said:

I'd be all for it! There's a plethora of characters to choose from, but either RE7 or even RE8 (when it comes out) characters may fit the bill better, especially when keeping up with a modern day audience.

I think the best choice is RE2R. I believe that game made a ton and ya know everyone loves it. And its still modern.

  • Both sides do it. I'd rather both sides acknowledge it in a bad way and try to get it fixed instead of crying to each other about it.

  • Nope. Devour is fine.

  • @APoipleTurtle said:

Resident Evil is still one of (if not the) biggest franchises in the survival horror genre. It would certainly be worthy of a spot in DbD.

Honestly, it seems like a really good time for this to happen too. RE8 is only a couple months away and DbD's 5th Anniversary arrives about a month after that. Having a Resident Evil chapter around that time would probably be a win-win for Capcom and BHVR; it's bonus publicity for the new game (which might boost its sales) and the widely recognizable RE name will probably bring a lot of people into (or back to) DbD.

I think RE is the most popular horror game franchise ever. I think from everything we know so far, it has a good chance for it to be chapter 20/the anniversary chapter. They did a bunch of collaborations for the 25th RE anniversary, they have a game coming out so more promotion, they habe a movie coming out for more promotion and I feel saying RE is worthy to be in DBD is a bit... Odd. It should be DBD is worthy of having RE. :D

  • @LegionOfDumb said:

If an RE chapter is possible, I just want Leon to be in it. 2 and 4 are usually considered the best in the series, but Leon always gets shafted in favor of Chris and Jill.

Leon is the most popular. Just not used as much as Chris. But Leon is definitely cared for more by Capcom than Jill. Its obvious when you see how they use both characters.

  • The problem I have is that not many people use it though. Yes it does need a nerd BUT its not as big of an issue as some make it out to be. When it does eventually happen is it unfun? Definitely. But how much does it happen right now? I rarely see it. So it does need a nerd but I don't think it needs it right now. Something like keys are a bigger issue right now ya know because people actually use those a lot more.

Oh and Pig is OP. Can't forget that one

  • No. No I don't think it should. Except inner strength I understand that one. The gen tap should disable it though because your doing something to the game.

  • There is a lot more to why the relationship between us and behaviour is... Bad but communication does play a huge factor in it. Communication and them just not listening to us.

    Bubba needs a nerf:

My main issue with Bubba is the fact that he comes with 3 tokens that resume all 3 tokens in one use or allow him to chainsaw 3 times.

That's my only issue I have with him, I don't mind his new Franklins or his addons. I wish his chainsaw cooldown worked like Billy's, but that lacks creativity, doesn't it?

The old Bubba was much better and more balanced. Some will argue that is wrong and my response to that is to just simply "get good". Old Bubba actually required skill, this new one doesn't. Its so easy to play Bubba now and I hate it.

I've definitely worked my way around Bubba's chainsaw by walking in circles of two big boxes. It does work quite effectively, but most of the games you'll be up against those that know how to work around that. So I just stick to my basic looping skills which were (Window loops, pallets loops etc).

Why can't we just keep the old chainsaw feature and his new addons/Franklins perk?

I don't know if you player him but old Leatherface was kinda of hard to play because his chainsaw sucked fat toe nails. The new one is good but isn't in need of any nerf. He's more of a challenge but in a good and skillful way.

  • Camping and tunneling just simply doesn't mean they don't know how to play. Especially because its very effective when used at the right moments. For example at the end. It shouldn't be changed at all. You got perks for that. Plus it does happen a lot but honestly, it doesn't happen as much as people think. Some people make it out like it happens every game or something. At high ranks A lot of killers don't.

  • Its a good and cool mori. Just not as good as some others.

  • If you look at them the survivor perks kinda get minimal nerfs.

  • @Mandy said:

Whilst I appreciate to die to something like this, making the ability to be able to leave via the exit gates with an active trap would be a massive nerf to Pig. And one that's completely not needed

I get that it's not fun to be tunneled all match and it's not your fault that your team mates didn't leave but that Pig threw the whole match to get you, just like with any killer - if you're tunneled that much you will eventually be sacrificed.

    I can't believe it but I agree.

I'm just scrolling up and down the forums and I'm seeing posts complaining about Deadhard and I'm sitting here like you players have to be new to this game to be complaining about deadhard 😂.

First off deadhard isn't even that great of a perk because dedicated servers destroyed what it use to be. I can't tell you how many times I've been exhausted hit on the ground. Yes it'll get you out of a sticky situation when it works but deadhard is not hard at all to bait out.

Walk up close behind a injured survivor to force deadhard out then swing. If they are constantly looking behind them while running that means they have deadhard. If you get close up on them and they start doing little jukes or try to spin around you that means they don't have deadhard.

    It's that easy.

Well guess what. I'm assuming your new to this game. Take that.

  • No one WANTS to use certain perks. Sometimes they just have to.

Between the 2, i prefer Springtrap. Mr. X's design is rather bland in my opinion, and i don't like it. If we get a RE killer, i am hoping that it's gonna be Nemesis, because i'd rather Nemesis than Springtrap.

Nemesis wouldn't happen. He's such a generic choice and simply doesn't fit. The thing about Mr. X is that... He just fits more than a lot of characters out there. He fits more than some of the characters in the game currently like Demogorgon. Everyone says Nemesis but people don't realize HOW powerful Nemesis is. He would be the most powerful killer easily. Instadown, really fast, ROCKET LAUNCHER. Not really fitting for balance or just DBD overall.

  • The only thing that annoys me is for doing it and getting messaged about it when I get like a 4k or 3k our of it when I could have easily had a 1k if they did these counters.

  • You see a lot of variety these days and honestly most killers are fun to play against. Leatherface is fun, Michael is fun, Pig is fun, Wraith is fun, Hillbilly is fun, Ghost Face is fun, Demo is fun, PH is fun in a more intense he just slightly missed me way, and more. Blight is fun. Now it is very opinion heavy but I'm sure there are MANY other people out there that love or just simply enjoy going against these killers. It depends on the play style. Camping Leatherface is boring sure but I'm mainly making an example of just normal play. He's very fun to me. Same with Michael. Non of these characters I'm listing are SUPER strong but are strong enough, but are fun. And that's A lot of the killers in the game.

Keeping up with a coordinated SWF is no small feat. ...but pub stomping solos, even at the highest level, can be very easy business.

DBD suffers from the fact that the most effective strategies are the least interactive. Yet the most enjoyable aspects of DBD are the ones in which the two sides have a conversation.

BHVR needs to force interaction, rather than assume players will do so of their own free will. For the sake of the game's health, this is necessary.

Camping and Tunneling have long plagued DBD, and BHVR has responded to these concerns by providing survivors with the tools to counter it. But the problem still persists..

It has become abundantly clear that no amount of perks can prevent a killer from deliberately ensuring that 1 or more players have a miserable experience.

Killers need satisfying reasons to leave the hook--not just perks that tell them they might be able to down people faster if they walk 32m away.

    ---

Maybe BHVR doesn't care. Perhaps some of their staff gets a kick out of facecamping survivors on first hook, and im talking into the abyss. But that style of play is unhealthy, and there are a surplus of objective changes that could be made to avoid it.

Did you that not every match has face camping or tunneling in it :O

  • Removing hook timers is horrible. It just seems like preserving survivors for later if your in a SWF.

  • So what I want you to do right... Load up the game right? Click play killer right? Get NOED right? Play with NOED for a couple matches or days right? Tell me that its OP again.

  • @Nos37 said:

While active, Decisive Strike should allow the survivor to fully recover from the dying state. This would alleviate the number of perks slots required to help counter tunneling.

    ----

The killer needs to equip zero perks to camp or tunnel. The survivors have to equip three perks to counter both (Borrowed Time, Decisive Strike, and Unbreakable). Not only does this take up 3/4 of a survivor's perk slots, but because each survivor can be camped and tunneled all 4 survivors would have to use up three perk slots. That, and DS + Unbreakable doesn't fully counter tunneling; it just makes it harder for the killer to do it quickly.

Let DS allow survivors to recover from dying. If DS has deactivated for the rest of the match after stunning or failing, then the survivor cannot fully recover from dying with DS. Meanwhile, this makes Unbreakable less powerful, so buff Unbreakable and let it be used more than once (on a cooldown). No Mither can stay as is because it has no cooldown, prevents blood pools, and reduces injury noise.

No, it should never work like this. Its basically an anti tunneling and 1 minute invincibility in some ways which those 2 words should not be in the same perk. NO killer perk is the equivalent to decisive. You say they need no perks to camp or tunnel and that's true. The problem is Killer perks slots are more valuable to have than survivor perk slots these days.

  • @HexSweetie said:

This isn’t your normal rant about DS, just here to state my opinion, I personally don’t think the nerf is healthy at all for the game, you see, this game encourages tunneling by not punishing the tunnelers but also has a perk that discourages tunneling..? (like what?) and now suddenly everyone complains about that one perk that keeps the game healthy? despite being very situational and a one time use—

At that point I don’t see any reason to not to tunnel, if that’s what you’re aiming for then I will gladly cheese my games by tunneling and I encourage everyone to do the same.

    Bravo bhvr

Is nerfing all the best killer perks that aren't OP, just good that help with killers biggest issues healthy? Stuff like this has been happening for years and decisive just never got the spanking it needed if they are gonna nerf/change these killer perks like Undying, ruin, pop ect. All perks that were never as strong as what a DS can do.

@cocorI think demodoggi's rig would probably mostly work with a xenomorph, i think theres such a "fan chapter" vid on yt, displaying an ability similiar to feral frenzy. I'd say xenomorph would also work perfectly with demos kit, just replace the portal textures to those of a xeno hive.

    ---

    @TheDarkTyrant

Isnt it kinda biased to dismiss Springtraps ability potential as a mix of old abilities and then imagine X with his bullrush from re:r, aka a feral frenzy/ demon charge mix? And if you intended for instants it'd be just a chainsaw sprint.

Except the stage 2 tyrant transformation, dear X doesnt display any ability not already present in the game.

    • Trappers powerwalk animation lol
    • Old legions modified kit if he's a 110% killer
    • Oni's modified kit if 115%
    • His head crush is tombstone myers
    • His radar skill is a mix of shock blast and feral frenzy's killer instinct. (" press strg to reveal all sirvivors and gain movement speed" )
    • His bullrush is a speed limiter chainsaw sprint or demon charge, depending if it collides with walls or not.
    • M1 dont cleave so he doesnt get his hook swings, but bubba said hi.

I'm not dismissing it. I just didn't say anything about that yet. The problem is Mr. X would probably be a better killer than Spring trap because of the killers he can take from.

That's why I put Trickster in there because, to some, he doesn't "fit" the base design of the game. Just like how Deathslinger didn't fit into the "base" of DBD because he had a gun and, again, for some, the Legion in GENERAL doesn't "fit" because they're nothing more then a bunch of edgy teeny boppers. Once again though, this will just have to be a "agree to disagree" moment because it's INCREDIBLY opinionated on what "fits".

I just personally both like and think you have a much bigger pool to play in when it comes to Nemesis when it comes to talking about possible RE inclusions. He could have multiple weapons, transformations, can sprint, has a tentacle grab, can leap/jump and, one of the big ones, he can infect and pass on the parasite which could lead into a power all of it's own.

I'm not saying Trickster doesn't fit. He simply doesn't. What fits its any killer design that is in the game besides Trickster. Yes that means Legion. I mean sure Legion is just normal teens but they don't just look goofy or too colorful or anything. And if they brought Nemesis he'd have to be OP if they wanna respect the weight the name Nemesis holds but they can't do that.

She takes skill. Her POWER doesn't take skill but you still need to know how to chase as you do with every killer. They are just mad. I think Plague is more powerful than most give her credit for however.

I disagree, a LOT fits into DBD. If we can have Bunny Legion's, Pink Elephant Clown, Santa Clown, Elf Dwight's, shirtless David's, pantsless Yui's, bunny Feng's, Shirtless Wraith, Beach Bum Billy, the 80's/90's sets for the survivors, the Christmas onesie's, The Trickster and multiple different outfit combos to make your character look over the top then, I wholeheartedly think Springtrap fits just perfectly fine.

You can say that about literally any killer coming into DBD. For example, I've seen people say that there could be a lot you could do with the Xenomorph if she was added but then others will just say "oh, that'll be nothing more then a glorified skin for Demo basically changing the Demo's power a bit and calling it a day." I disagree with that, there could be SO MANY options for licensed characters powers that it's crazy. Just look at what some of the community comes up with. Another example is well, Mr. X himself, they could make a power based around his destructive capabilities but then others could come in and just say "oh, that's basically just a glorified Oni that can't run." Once again though, I think that's not true and you could do something with a transformation of some kind.

Ultimately though, this is just very opinionated. Some will simply just not want certain characters added for whatever reason and, that's ok, it's their opinions and we can agree or disagree all that we want. As long as your being respectful towards that person's opinion and not being a asshat then that's all that matters. For me though, I'd be happy with a LOT of licensed content they could introduce. The one and ONLY one I'd be super upset over is Jeepers Creepers for, well, obvious reasons.

Skins are different. I'm talking about base designs. That's what I'm talking about. It doesn't fit as a base design to me. Also Mr. X can run. He runs in the games. So he's be Oni kind of but more powerful than Oni in the early game.

I love both franchises and I'd probably flop back and forth between the both of them but, today, I'm going to go with Springtrap. He both looks disgusting(he's got that whole body horror thing going on) and, I just think his lore fits extremely well to boot.

His design can be cool but if they wanted to replicate exactly how he looks in the game then I honestly don't think he fits at all. The devs would have to tweak his looks but the main problem is his power. He has potential but all that potential goes to the side of him just taking other killer powers.

i mean i don't want to be rude but you asked who "looked" that they would fit more, so i just selected the scariest option in term of look ^^ so i don't see why i should search for the lore of the Mr X character ^^

What I mean by design was everything about them. Just to give you a bit more to answer for the question.

I'll answer that with another question: What would Mr. X do?

I only stated that Springtrap would have more potential due to the more supernatural elements of fnaf.

Mr. X would be all about destruction and the chase and just being intense as he is. Plus he could have some decent map pressure to go with his insane lethality.

  • The Legion are way too far in one direction for anything like this to happen but it'd be cool.

  • @Grimmy_Bluues said:

    Both fit extremely well.

Only reason I picked Springtrap is they have more potential for a creative power.

It wouldn't be that creative. What would he do? Its just gonna be recycled powers most likely. Probably a mix of Doctor, Demo, and Twins but each element is weaker.

  • @Adeloo said:

Springtrap because it is scarier and also i don't even know who the other character is ;)

Search him up. You'll see that he fits perfectly.

If we're going by the " fit in DBD" specification, then it's springtrap. Not by much, mind you.

Buff dude in a trenchcoat is rather... universally applicable for lots of genres. He kinda looks like a super mutant courser ( Fallout 4) or Seth who decides to dress up for once ( Street fighter). I'm not saying that Mr X wouldnt fit in Dbd, for that his design is a rather good mix between buff trapper and dapperly dressed doctor.

It always feels like lots of people forget that Springtrap would get a less cartoonish stylised design for dbd. ( Toon Link in Smash Bros' doesnt use his native cell shading style if i remember correctly)

Now off topic, Springtrap's background would likely be more flexible for a more unique killer ability.

Spring traps's power would be just a bunch of reused powers in 1 most likely.
