    uh, what

what's the point of multiple stabs if deep wounds is gone?

Before the rework, the Legion was actual able to down someone with his stabs, while he was in frenzy.

Those stabs were not so strong as the m1 basic attack (that can down someone with 2 hits), but you could potentially down someone with them, with 4 hits.

To be honest, that was a scenario, that almost had never happen in a real match and exist only on paper, or if the Legion had the pre-rework-knife addons equipped, because the old frenzy duration was so short that the Legion could only stab 2-3 times a survivor, until you have them then finish off with a basic m1 attack (that was basicly the pre-rework playstyle for every Legion that has not use exploits or the op addons).

So you see, without dw the Legion could potentially be viable again, because bhvr would have 1 less excuse why they didn't bring it back.

    @DudeDelicious

Thank you for your posting. I assume, you are right with it, but that was never something the players of the Legion wanted, or also the people that have play against the Legion.

As example, I had buy dbd and the Legion dlc, because I wanted to be the stabby guy, like you see it in one of the trailers of the Legion (that is might still up on YouTube or so).

Also many Legions I had know to this time, liked exactly this on the Legion.

Inclusive 1 survivor main I had know to this time personally and the guys in my endgame-chats mostly. I had in months playing the Legion like I have describe above, maybe a handful of toxic/ranting endgame chats.

The rest of the endgame chats were either silent, peacefull or happy and that I can even prove in parts.

That is something bhvr should think about and why they had nerf the Legion (I say nerf, because we can't do the same anymore as Legion - no matter how hard we try) with their rework.

Btw. here I make a @Peanits . Just so that he reads it maybe one day :).

Imo, they should have make another killer with the dw abilitie and let the Legion be the stabby ones.

The Legion of the past is so different to the Legion today, that they could be 2 total different killers for 2 chapters.

  • Well yes, but in the addon rework that will for sure come sooner or later for the Legion, they should make the m1 attacks in frenzy NOT stronger - like they have done it before.

The basic attacks in frenzy are strong enough far as I remember and the Legion would still have that ultra-long-stun after frenzy.

I don't see there any big benefits for the Legion - compared to other killers - but the Legion would feel at least great again.

  • I don't see there a problem.

Delete dw, since it annoys survivors anyways and give him the abilitie back to stab multiple times in frenzy, still with all the nerfs that the Legion has today on it.

    And vola - problem solved.

Not optimal, but the best old Legion mains can get and survivors whould not need to play mending simulator anymore. That's a win-win-situation for everyone.

yeah my bad but maybe talking as an organization could be das

    Das Legion sounds terrible.

To name the Legion on this way would be even worse as the rework patch for a year or so.

TL:DR I hope it never ever comes to that :).

  • As native german speaker I can say that "Die Legion" is ok, in german.

  • I am so sweaty, that I let in most of my games someone go, or do farming with the survs.

If bhvr buffs my fav killer again, after they have destroy him, I might can develope enough fun to play dbd again more often and show this behavior in more ranks, as rank 20 actual because I play maybe just 1 match/month at the moment.

That is everything I can say to it as killermain and you maybe see there the problem^^.

I keep raging over simple things then get depressed like two seconds later. Like cross play for example, I’m a console killer I’ve yet to win. So I took a break then got back on to again be filled with rage and depression. I want to get help, but help cost money and I’m 17. What’s worst is that I self diagnosed myself and my family won’t believe me and they have all sorts of conspiracies, which only makes me more angrier. I’ve tried school counseling but they did nothing about it. I’ve tried apps but none of them helps it or even understands. Just thinking about it makes me so so angry, but I don’t want to feel angry. I be asked everyone on other sites but all they could say is don’t self diagnose yourself or gets some help without applying help themselves. To be honest, I think about ending it all because I feel so isolated, but it’s not a pity party. I just need to know if anyone knows how to deal with this problem so I can finally move on from this lesson?

You need a professional opinion. That means you need to consult a psychiatrist.

Looking at yourself, or taking informations from the internet is ok, but it doesn't replace a psychiatrist.

Infact it can make it worse, since you start to believe in things that are maybe not the reality.

Try to confince your parents for 1-2 psychiatrist talks. If the psychiatrist then still thinks that you doesn't need any help, you can be relieved that you maybe have exaggerated with your feelings. If not, well... Then you should better be ready for viewing this psychiatrist for a long time.

  • Well, at least you have become some points out of it.

DC penalties really need to get back in action.

BHVR updates the game every 3 months with a new chapter regardless of the bugs in the game. Creating a chapter introducing a character of color takes as much time as any other chapter.

Yeah and I know they need to do it, to keep the game alive. Imo, without new content this game would die in less as a half year.

Still, I have my wishes :).

  • Should bhvr not bugfix the tons of bugs that plague dbd, before they looking at those "minor" things?

Maybe it is because I am a killer main, but I consider a bugfree gameplay, buffing certain killers and certain survivor perks as more important as that.

At the end, every survivor ends anyways on a hook and turns grey if he hangs there too long :P.

Edit: Btw. they having stereo types already in their game. Like Meg, David, Nea, Ace and Dwight and it is not bad to have them. DBD is no real life simulation.

I wait for the bugfixing and "buff some killers" chapter first, before I hooray^^.

Edit: I know, that is not the answer you have hoped for, but it is the answer dbd needs most (answer inspired by Batman Dark Night :) ).

You don't have to DC, just cancel the match. Every time I see a secret offering thankfully someone cancels the match. And 99% of the time it's a beautiful ebony with beautiful perks and add-ons like Iridescent Head. What a fun match I missed out on!

Well I have only used moris on 1 day, but to be honest... There has to be some penalties for such a behavior.

Where would we land if everyone just dc's/cancel a match/and so on, if something there annoys him/her?

If I would be so soft, I would have needed to dc/cancel 90% of my matches because of some survivor addon/perk/behavior/whatever, but I had only dc'd 1 time and that was because of a bug that would have maybe lead to a ban if I would have continued to play.

As long as a Survivor has been hooked once at all during the game, and you have a Green or Red Mori, you can mori them. It doesn't matter if you've hooked someone in-between, Say you hook Survivor 1, Hook Survivor 2 and 3, you can still Mori Survivor 1 at ANY time (except if you third hook them, because obviously then they're dead lol). You can Mori a person after 1 hook, or 2 hooks. But you don't have to Mori someone STRAIGHT after you hook them. Whether that be first or second hook.

If you want to Mori someone you can't 3 hook them, but you can Mori them anytime with a Green or Red Mori as long as they have been hooked ANYTIME during the match.

The Yellow Mori is a bit different as it just means you can Mori the last survivor, even if they haven't been hooked all game.

Ah thanks for refreshing my memories. Is a long time ago where I have read the descriptions on them.

Licensed DLC Characters are locked behind paywalls and this is fine since stronger alternatives are available through purchase with in game shards for killers and survivors themselves are essentially just skins. The real problem at play here is those characters perks. Decisive strike is a full 60 seconds of invulnerability for any survivor off of a hook, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Barbecue and Chili doubles the speed at which you can level up characters and is one of the best information perks in the game, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Save The Best For Last Demogorgen's best perk, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Surveillance a huge bonus for any Pyramid Head player, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Make your choice one of the best perk additions for the Wraith and Freddy, locked behind at least a 5 dollar paywall. Of course you can win without any of these perks but that's not the issue, no pay to win game lets you buy automatic wins, they let you buy advantages which these perks clearly are. Now you may say that the shrine of secrets is the answer to my problem but it is nothing but a faulty bandage on a gaping wound. Decisive Strike has shown up 11 times on the shrine, Barbecue and Chili has shown up 4 times, Save The Best For Last 10, Surveillance 4, Make Your Choice 5, and I wont go on to mention how some of the DLC perks from as old as Demogorgen haven't even been listed in the shrine yet. You ask players who do not wish to pay for killers or survivors they don't want to wait for an unlisted amount of time till their perks are purchasable with shards, this is the same thing Battlefront 2 did. Make players grind for months for the chance to get the more powerful tools while others can just pay to get it immediately. All perks should be purchasable for Iridescent Shards and shouldn't be locked behind a pay/wait wall.

If you don't want to pay the full price (something I can really understand since bhvr loves to nerf/change payed content), wait for a sale of the dlcs.

Dbd sales are pretty often on steam.

Besides that I see there no problem. It's not like you spend 30 dollars or so on them. Just 2-5 by a sale, far as I remember.

  • I would not be surprised if the Legion rework gets one day undone.

But... without dw and still a bigger tr.

Is the only logic thing they can do, to make everyone more or less happy with the Legion.

But we all know how long bhvr needs to accept that they have make something wrong and to finally act then on the basis of this.

Btw. Was nice to read you again Pulsar :).

  • I understand tunneling killers with moris.

It is a long time ago since I have read the mori descriptions, but was it not so, that some only work after a unhook, by the person they have hook before?

If so, I totally understand this behavior, because it literally forces them to act like this, if they want to use it.

Mhm, would I play regulary dbd now, I would choose some of the other secret offerings, just to set the heartbeat of the survivors a bit up before they later see that it wasen't a mori xD.

  • @Godot said:

Why so many Legion players all of a sudden? (All with same perks, too)

I want one Survivor game where I don't get Legion as the killer, please.

I won't use DS, I won't use Unbreakable, I won't use clutch perks, but PLEASE, HAVE MERCY!!

With the Legion rework, they have turn the Legion into an m1 killer - drawback of it, he is now easier to adapt since there is no big difference anymore between the Legion and a huge chunk of the rest of the killers.

And that means... There will be more Legion's on a constant basis :).

Edit: Since then, not just since now.

Edit²: And to the question of @Todgeweiht : No :).

  • I had 1-2 facecamp someone in my dbd "career".

Both times because they annoyed me like no one else before.

Both times it wasen't fun for me. Imo, facecamping is boring, but I had found it important to teach this particular survivor a lesson.

You know? We killers are also humans and if your behavior towards us crosses a line, it is ok for me, because I am the one as killer who can decide to really end the game for this 1 toxic player.

  • Sounds a bit far fetched for me, to hear a orgasm in it o_O

As a killer main, survivors like YOU complain about NOED, Insid, Enduring+Spirit Fury, that "overpowered" killer, and almost everything that makes you not win. Killers kill, so what. And 99.99% of the time, survivors send the hatemail about how "why did you tunnel after I t-bagged and locker spammed." Like holy ######### what, do you want a farming killer ever single F***ING MATCH. US KILLERS DONT GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT TUNNING NOED BECAUSE YOU GUYS HAVE YOUR DESICIVE, ADRENALINE, AND SELF CARE FOR A GOD DAMN REASON. ADMIT IT, YOU AREN'T THE BEST. F*** OFF. JUST F*** OFF OR OWN UP TO THE FACT THAT YOU SUCK AT DEAD BY DAYLIGHT SND NEED YOUR CRUTCH OERKS TO WIN. I SAID IT ONCE, AND ILL SAY IT AGAIN.

    EAT MY F***ING ASS, DAVE

Survivors on those forums have usually a hard time to understand killers, some you can call even out right ignorant, but calm down man :).

    Screaming helps nobody^^.

  • My only complainment about ds and co. is, that you see them as killer in every single match, by at least 1 - often more - survivors.

It is literally as would a survivor see every day - since months - only 1 killer in the matches - as would the others not exist and that is boring to be honest.

Besides that, I see them as beginner perks, like noed for killers. If you use them as beginner, its good and helps you learn the game. If you use them after you have pass the beginner status... Well then I think you are carried by those perks and not your skills. Honest answer, sorry.

I thought this might be useful in case this happens to anyone else.

I just played a game against a hacker, No Mither + Tenacity, perfectly un-laggy until I picked them up. At which point they would lag so hard that it was impossible to hook or drop them. This happened multiple times throughout the game. I opened their profile during the game so I can get the SteamID64 later to make a support ticket with additional video evidence.

The lookup tool however told me that no such profile exists, and when I checked the link Steam told me the same thing. No such profile exists. No profile, no SteamID64, no additional report. They changed their profile URL to avoid getting reported.

However, even if someone does this to stop you from making a support ticket with their SteamID64, you can get the current link to their profile from the in-game scoreboard. Click on them in the scoreboard, then "VIEW PROFILE" and it will always link you to their profile even if they change their URL and username.

Which by the way, this person has done. Apparently immediately after the game they changed their URL, from random letters to different random letters, and their username. At this point I think it should be pretty obvious that they were indeed hacking and not just randomly lagging at perfect times, while running the perfect build for when the killer is unable to hook you.

@Rizzo90 helped me out on Discord and told me that I have to get the SteamID64 before they change their profile URL, which I was able to do by opening their profile from the scoreboard.

Keep this in mind in case you ever come across a similar situation, you can get the new URL from the scoreboard and then from that you can get the SteamID64, which can't be changed.

And in case the person recognizes themselves in this post, get rekt.

The same works somehow also in the steam forums.

I had argue a lot with survivors about a patch from bhvr in the steam forums for a year so.

Accidentally I realized that steam-forum names also changed in old threads and postings, if someone was changing his name.

On this way I could track the survivors down, who trying to "rise" their numbers to get more listen by bhvr/or to talk the other side down, with changing their names every day.

  • @slunder said:

@Talmeer WHERE is the insult? Well maybe I should have said that entitled survivors that want the game to favor them exist, but thats it. Survivor complaints are sometimes valid, sometimes not, but this post was answering to killers thinking dbd is to favored towards survivors.

Well... Let it me say on this way:

In real life, not everyone is happy if you suggest that someone has a smaller brain, or is dumb :). I bet you haven't mean it on this way, but this is the dbd community... How long do you think someone needs to get those words in the wrong throat?

Edit: What the complainments matters: So yes you are right, but imo they are often exaggerated and posted with the wrong intensions (like that someone, somethings dislikes - but your likes or dislikes should have nothing to do with balance).

  • @slunder said:

Lately, I have seen a lot of killers complain about the game being survivor favored, while in reality the escape&death ratio is around 50&50. Even so, killers tend to think the game favors survivors. Why is that? No, it is not because they have smaller brains, no it is not because they are dumb, no it is not because they are entitled: the reason is that they feel stressed when survivors make progress. This is going to assume that it will be an average match.

Let me explain: when you down someone, chances are, one or two gens are going to be done. This puts stress on the killer, because survivors have already done 1 out of 6 of their objective (if we count that escaping after the last gen is as hard as doing one generator). Meanwhile, the killer has only done 1 out of 12 of his objective due to having 1 out of the 12 hook stages required. Then, the game goes on and in the end, survivors will have done all generators. The killer most likely killed someone by then and can catch someone else to camp and kill. This will feel bad for the killer, because they feel like they failed due to all generators being done, while in reality they have done ok by getting 2 kills. For survivor, on the other end, can still feel good even if you lose: you will still have been chased, done gens and unhooks, etc. You will still feel that you have done something and the dread feeling of defeat will not be here.

So, here is the solution: do not panic when generators get done. You can still get kills, in fact, survivors are supposed to be unstoppable for generators (if both sides have equal skill), otherwise the 2 kills 2 escapes ratio (which is what the game should be balanced around) will not be applied.

    The above is bs, imo.

Even insulting - depending on how one likes to see it.

But, to come to your question:

Can't answer for everyone, but it is hard to forget if something you loved on the game got nerfed because of survivor complainments.

Well... If I am honest... I will never.

Edit: And that can give people such a impression. Shouldn't be a surprise.

  • @IMilkNobody said:

Everyone wants to nerf a perk that is already bad and can be easily removed from the game. The thing thats really need nerfs are bamboozle and bloodlust which just needs to be removes from the game. Bamboozle was put into the game when infites still exist same with bloodlust most of the time they reward bad players. Using bamboozle you basically admit you suck cant mindgame a window. Cant catch a survivor bloodlust them to death. Bamboozle and bloodlust are just as outdated as the survivor and killer perk meta

Have you ever try to gen rush, while you also need to do totems?

    That doesn't work together.

And here is your answer :)

I have no problems with noed. I just think it is a very powerful perk, but on the other hand - survs have them also. They have even perks that take out complete elements of the game. So as long as those perks exist in dbd, I think noed is fine - for the people who want to use it (I didn't honestly).

  • @Brightened said:

Why are there lockers next to windows. DEVS why TF do you hate us? Why when I go to run away from already speedy killers and use a window... does my dumb character jump into a locker?! How irritating.

    ... :D

    Sorry, but I couldn't resist :P

  • They surely will someday.

But someday, they are not the fastest guys on the campus, thats for sure^^.

Guess they must first cope with it, that they had make mistakes by the Legion nerf and to cope with your own errors is always the hardest.

  • Michael Meyers

Because I think that the most other dbd killers are either too small, or to muscular for my body.

Also I would not need to talk much as Meyers. That's also a plus :).

I don't dc because I hate screwing over my team. But I know if someone's playing and an emergency comes up they weren't expecting then that emergy is more important than the game. If you blame them for leaving the match after that then I'm sorry but that's just wrong.

######### can come up, and that's a valid reason to leave match.

However if you rage quit because you were downed first only to queue up again, then seriously just stop.

Well, if you really mean "emergencies". Aka. moments in your life, where real life knocks on your door while you are playing, then yes.

But, some survivors dc so often, they have already run out of every grandma that could possible die for their inner excusement, a long time ago, if you get what I try to say here. I think we think pretty similar, I am just fed up with all the dc excuses, we read on this forum sometimes.

  • Looping is annoyance for me, no matter if we talk about my sight as killer, or survivor.

... But it is one of the best things you can do in dbd. So I can understand the survivors. Besides that, only stealth is left and that is not something for everyone.

I like chases, but not always around some tires or so... I mean... Comon man... Why I just can't push those tires away, or jump over that car?

Would be interesting to see how a cinema audience would react to a movie with loops as major content. Guess that movie would be remembered as one of the worst horror movies ever made^^.

That's also a reason why I prefer killer-characters who can either stop chases around loops, or have there at least a little advantage.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

There are some legitimate reasons tbh. Killers abusing exploits or holding the game hostage, or if their teammates are hacking and they don't want to be a part of the game anymore, or if they're just incredibly frustrated and need a break (as in, they then go look at pictures of dogs and play another game, not join another queue). If they desperately need to go somewhere, or if their team are sandbagging/farming them, or if they're playing a VPNing killer from Zimbabwe and they're in London.

There can be a few actual, valid reasons for a disconnect. Dcing to spite people and/or because you were downed first is not a valid reason.

The first mistake many people make is to think that there are "valid reasons".

The are no valid reasons, besides a forced disconnect from your isp. End of story.

That said, I know that dbd has a lot of unfair situations in the game and on top of that some nice bug and exploit cherrys, while you don't even get something for playing against all those things.

But you know, for exploits you can report people and for the rest write threads in this forum or try to get some folks on twitter up. Especially the twitter guys seem always be happy if they can take their torches and pitchforks up. So they don't have to think about their own problems^^ ;).

Edit: Sorry for being so rough there. But imo, if you start to justify this behavior you make it just easier for yourself, to start to behave like that.

  • Pfff... I had only play her twice (thanks to addons), but she had make fun. The pig mains will judge you both! :)

  • Stupid pig?

Pah I curse you now!: You will get only pigs in your matches until you say, you love them! :P

  • I bet they will be better in a few weeks. After more killers have rank up.

  • :) I had know that something like that comes up.

It's worthless to teach survs on the forums something. Do it in the ingame chat. They are usually a bit more open for it. The survs on the forums are not here to get advice to something. That is just my experience. Prove me wrong^^.

And yes, I know that is not the nicest posting someone can post, but the reality is not always nice.

Hello fellow survivor mains. I am a survivor main myself and I just wanna say, Let's try to be nicer to the killers who aren't toxic. Ik Both sides of the game have some Toxic People, but to the people who aren't toxic and just are trying to play, Let's try and be nicer to them. Especially if they are newer to playing killer and Don't know what they are doing. Let's try and be kind people to one another. And Ik ik, some killers have certain playstyle's they like that we don't ,but we do as well; have playstyle's we like but they dislike. Let's try and remember that at the end of the day we all Play this game to have Fun. So yeah, Love y'all and be safe out there during these Hard times ✌

Thanks on the thread starter for posting those. Sometimes I have talk about happy and positive talks in the endgame chat here in this forums, but I had always a bit the feeling that some people have not believe it.

Guess, it is not bad to show that there are more players out there, as just the toxic ones.

  • Aaand you get less bp, or got that changed?

    Not that bps matter, anyways...

From what we've been told, the MMR algorithm has been running in the background to discern players' skill levels for a while now, so it may have determined that would've been an appropriate trial for you.

Oh, is that so? Well, then I understand it.

As said before I was once in higher ranks and even in the few games I had done in this year, I had most of the time very good games that were almost always 4k if I would not have the behavior to let 1 survivor always go after a good match.

    Thanks for your answer.

  • On PC 360 are easier to counter.

You either can follow them with lunge and wait until they reach their first 90% angle and hit them then, or you just turn to your left, or right and wait again until they reach their first 90% and hit them then with a short basic attack.

Works both, always, if you have train it a little. Guess it is because many survivors have problems to roll their head, on their keyboad :P, on the same speed to the left and right, as if they would roll up and left (or right).

Btw. make some line breaks in your wall of text please :|

    It's better to read then.

  • Killer: Legion

Survivor: I play Kate or Jeff equal, or nearly, I assume.

All 6 together remind me on my favorite party location for more as a decade. I was very often in a run-down looking club like you see him on the map Ormond and that's sometimes by almost similar temperaturs, I guess (but then with burning fires and so on).

Was the number 1 location spot for metalheads, gothics and punks in my area, aka. the "alternative scene".

Well, the whole thing is over now. They changed their customers to students only and this place has lost his charme for a lot of the older people.

Still it is the place where I have catch many good memories :).

  • I think for certain killers it is the right way, but by killers who have in their basekit, or via addons already insta-downs, it would be too much.

I know at least some devs will come with too "oppressive" up, or "no skill" but:

-1 it makes fun. More as anything else in dbd. And what should a game make?

-2 By survivors we talk never about oppressive, or no skill things and that where they clearly used oppressive and no skill actions in their daily matches.

So.. Are we killers citiziens of second class or what? Give us a bit of fun. By the survivors you have no problems to give them the one or other advantage -_-.

  • Is it actually so easy? Thought before survs would need a third party programm for it.

Your absoultely right but the issue is. They make more money pushing out new content to sell us. They don't get paid extra for balancing their game -.-

The only power customers have over a company, is to "vote" with their pockets.

Usually I would have bought a lot more DBD stuff by now, as example. But I didn't because a former patch was wrong in my eyes and until everything is ok again - no money :).

I say that because there is no other way.

stop pushing out content and focus on the core issues, game balance, bug fixes on both sides, stop making pointless changes that worsen your game, fix the net code, start listening to the community

Without new content, the game would die imo.

But the rest I can underscore.

  • I had this rarley in my endgame chats. If it is not aggressive written, I try to show him that the gras is not greener on the other side. If he is aggressive I give him counter and leave the chat.

Besides that, my profile is private. So no other way to write me something^^.

NOED is for bad killers. If you rely on NOED to get kills you don't deserve to be high ranked.

If you have to stack second chance perks on top of second chance perks (like the infamous Smol PP Build^tm) then you're not a good survivor. If you rely on those perks every game you don't deserve to be high ranked.

Both sides have their issues. DS by itself is fine, and unbreakable by itself is fine. They need anti-synergy together and suddenly there's no issue with either perk.

BT is counterable by chasing the unhooker. I'd prefer it to deactivate during endgame but oh well.

    Dead hard is counterable.

Well, sorry, there I go a stright line.

If I see a killer with NOED, or a survivor with the typical second chances perks, than I don't think they are good.

The only acceptable use for them is, if a beginner of DBD picks them up. But a guy who plays this game longer as a month... Well that shows deeply that he has not left the beginner stage in his mind.

  • Why should someone prestige?

I have done it one time and I have immediately regretted it. There is no gain besides a skin, in comparson to loosing all of your perks/addons on that character.

Also I bet that not everybody who has bought DBD, plays it.

That is to see by every game across the globe. Some people buy it just to play it in their holidays and then forget about it while they laying on a beach in Hawai as example. Or the free weekends already mentioned. Also some people have give up on DBD and I bet there exist a lot of those type of former players for DBD.

Everytime they nerf something significant for one particular part of the playerbase, some people give up on the game. Luckily for them, their upkeep on new players is higher as the downkeep of the other people, if we look at the steam-stats.
