I rarely find a reason to bring a mori into a game unless I have a challenge. Using Rancor or Devour Hope is much more fun.
-
Favoritism.
Also irrational hatred for certain survivors.
Won the heart of a Ghostface somehow yesterday and got the hatch. It happens.
-
Oh neat. Was looking for a way to speed up in the rift track. Only had killer challenges left.
-
Just play normally? Sometimes games snowball at the end.
Had a flashlight clicker blinding me all game as Trapper. At the last gen all his friends got trapped with Honing Stone and he was all mine.
And simply playing through with good loopers is a good way to pick up juking techniques for survivor if you can track them properly. I know how to loop better as a result.

Laughs in Legion

Shaving a few seconds off exhaustion is always nice. Though the other effects feel too few and far between to really benefit.

Forget the gas idea. I am totally down for the Big O mori.
If we really want it to be Big O related, Clown becomes a hobo, and the survivor has an existential crisis and disappears into a vacuous white void. Then Clown has an epiphany.

Clowns calls in Big O and uses its head laser to disintegrate the survivor into dust.
I don't know Big O nearly well enough to understand if there is a reference I'm not getting.
There's an effeminate weirdo who stabs people with his hand, but I was just clowning around when I said that. :p
Was also trying to think of something gas related.
-
The more I use DS as a survivor, the more it makes sense. I got hooked one game and didn't get saved till I went into second phase. Killer immediately went after me after the unhook. I'd have been out of the game within a minute of the game starting if it weren't for DS.
That being said, deactivate during the EGC. You had all game to not get tunneled.
-
Like a camping Huntress with Noed she just keeps chucking hatchets into you till you die.
Demo drags you into a portal.
Clowns calls in Big O and uses its head laser to disintegrate the survivor into dust.

I had a fun game recently on Hawkins Lab. Indoor levels are the best for her.
It's the sprawling open maps where she shows her limits. You spend all game blinking to cover ground. If she recovered faster outside a chase she's be a lot less oppressive to play as.
-
If they listened to all feedback, survivors would load up the game dead with the exit gates already opened.

This is exactly why I bring my try hard stuff every match. Cause I don't know whats going to happen :P
True. Always seems like I get the awful games right after shelving my good stuff.
But for an asymmetrical game they can't really be expected to balance matchmaking around numbers alone. I think the game is balanced when everything is thrown in a tumbler.
I get killed by a sweaty killer one match, then get a breezy escape the next, instead on one long oppressive streak of sweaty killers till I derank enough. And vice versa for killers. You need potatoes sometimes to remember why you love playing.
-
I prefer pallets because I enjoy the thought of a survivor in a nightmare scenario where they're surrounded by several pallets and only one is real. Cue intense sweating.
Also they can protect your totems if they're using Small Game.
-
Query: A rank one killer and a squad of rank 20 survivors are sitting alone in matchmaking.
Should they be paired together if no one else is playing?
Second Query: The rank one killer is doing a fun build and the rank 20's all have meta perks, comms, and have purposely deranked.
Is it still fair?
-
Thinking outside the box here, I think a problem with killer is simply bloodweb and getting perks. Sure you can just hit 50 and keep going, but then you miss out on some unique cosmetics.
And if many people share the same mindset as me, then you can have one P3 survivor main with every perk no problem. If you swap between killers frequently they're kind of stuck with the perks they had going to level 50. So I stick with these crappy perk setups and to my dismay find that the killer doesn't do too well or doesn't feel flexible enough when I'm stuck with only a handful of perks.
Example: My totems keep getting destroyed as Demo. Don't have Thrill of the Hunt, so they keep getting destroyed. Etc.
-
Wraith I've been having fun with recently. Seeing through walls and the silent bell are a joy to use.
Though his reappearance add-ons are broken. I stacked both of them and he takes what seems like 5 seconds to uncloak.
-
Worst killer in the game can get a free first hit and keep everyone broken. Even Plague has to build first.
Oh and if they keep trying to juke you at vaults, stand there a sec to see if they're hiding in the corner. Their confidence dissipates quickly.
-
Killers tunnel because they can't find anyone else. I don't think hook trading till you die will fix any existing problems.
-
Equip BBQ. Has a psychological effect if they know you have it and you know where people are. Also bloodpoints. Found my game drastically improved when I started using it again.
Also ranks don't matter. Loopers who know loops do.
-
Man I remember every message the killer sent me about how I had the nerve to escape.
Oh wait, I never get those.
-
Survivors will need to walk for their lives very cautiously if they ever hope to survive.....

What about Mikey?
Saw how futile trying to mold himself to societies views were and became a naturalist. Animals naturally feed on each others deaths to survive. Mikey was just trying to live a peaceful life.
-
Depends.
Potatoes? 4k.
Swf? Everyone escapes after an endless pallet and DS BT chain. Then you retreat to the forum about how Billy needs a buff badly. It's psychologically damaging.

Tunneling is ruining the game tbh
Maybe if hitting someone didn't rocket them across the map and out the exit gates I'd go after someone else.
-
You could say the animations are a little wooden.
-
Yeah I watched the new Star Wars too.
Badum tish.

An EMP field should surround me at all times. Gain tokens by existing.

Zarina for sure. I like her aesthetic a lot more and her perks fit my playstyle. I'd say get Yui eventually though since I'm sure that Any Means Necessary is going to get buffed.
Why would they buff Any Means Necessary? It resets loops for survivors. She tapes the boards back together?
It's a situational perk that can snowball into something extremely annoying for killer. Ignoring breaking boards is something you do if you don't want to lose bloodlust as killer. So they don't always snap them. You can also slip in to reset it for someone else who is being chased.
-
Change the condition. Too many perks affect EGC. Killer should get the advantage at the tail end of a match, in juxtaposition to survivors mainly having it at the beginning.
How about it being the personal version of Borrowed Time? Survivor instantly heals off the hook while in the killers Terror Radius. Or when they're slugged, they get up instantly when a gen pops. Alternates between an end game perk to early game.
-
Ah yes their writing style is very.....banana taped to a wall. Mmhmm.
-
-They add voice comms
- You politely inform them at a hurried pace for them to please remove themselves from the immediate area as it is imperative they not become a burden
- They stand there anyways
guessilldie.jpg
-
Survivors have yee'd their last haw.
-
I want to sacrifice survivor items.
They'll live....but at what cost?!?
-
I'd settle for a longer start-up animation. They want to play games, they can suffer the consequences of it.
-
I can consistently hit with her on PS4 but the constant blackout after a blink is just too much sometimes. Especially if you've been using it for travel outside a chase.
-
I usually try not to basement people. It was like old Dying Light. Bad manners.
Basment is already kinda op. Adding Monstrous Shrine to the mix just shows how sweaty you are trying to remove someone as fast as possible.
If it got reworked to add a bunch of status effects to the hooked survivor or unhooker, I might use it more.

DbD got me into Saw. I own the entire series now. I'm not really good at locating good stories or movies and I was steadily getting more and more into slasher fics in general thanks to that. It really buil up the momentum into the slasher genre for me although Saw edges more to Dark Thriller. It still falls into its sphere for many.
Saw 3 was the best by the way.
I got to say that the Devs have great taste. Amanda is way more complex, interesting and actually scary than Hoffman or whatever that guys name was in the JigSaw one. I like how they capture her tendency to sneak up and suddenly grab her victims and her violent, sudden temperment with her Ambush attacks in game.
I also gave Nightmare on Elm Street remake a rewatch when I realized this freddy is meant to be based on the remake. It's actually is a pretty good movie. The scenes, lighting and the story itself are pretty decent. Too bad that they barely use freddy dream powers because when you actually watch the sets and scenes in dreams they really do capture this weird...subtle....lighting...camera work?...little things to make it feel sort of out of normality.
Saw lost me after the third one. It felt like a cheesy day soap how Hoffman kept being a mustache twirling villain. Also all the characters were samey. Couldn't tell the difference between a few of the detectives honestly.
-
Nurse. Ranges from terrible to Oh crap. Dodging her using terrain feels much more exciting then looping normal killers.
Doctor is similar to Nurse in he can either be a puppy or terrifying to play against. Very engaging in how he can force you to adapt on the fly.
And Huntress. A good Huntress will keep you on your toes exploiting the uncertainty of the range of her Lullaby in conjunction with her Terror Radius. Also awareness of your surroundings.
-
Keys are for people already winning.
You can block them from using it. Standing directly on the lock makes the prompt not appear. When they're trying to maneuver around, you can get in a hit or two.
If someone does use a key, you can close it forcing EGC. And if they open it again, that's two less keys in the world.
-
Shouldn't flat out throw a game. Game is unfun as survivor if the killer puts no effort. Though tryhards make games exercises in futility. You can bet that DS went back on my fun build after a killer tunnels me to death knowing I can't do anything back.
Though killer is already stressful enough so simply playing how you like feels so much better than try harding every match. So if it feels good, then do it. Gens pop and I don't care, I can still pull a 3k if I play it cool. If it's 4k I usually let the last one go. 1k I drop them at the gates if they weren't already sacrificed. No point in taking only scraps. Farming or screwing around you can be guaranteed to escape. But try not to make it obvious.
-
My first game on dedicated servers, I was Huntress and kept rubber banding between two points. Survivors could still do gens.
Funny it only happened when I used bloody party streamers.

yeah, I can understand making a pink add on basekit might be a bit much. I just feel he lacks... something. I was thinking this could work based on the demogorgon ability of breaking a pallet with his power.. also with the Plague having an apple add on basekit on the next update, it shows devs are more open to this idea than completely reworking a killer.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1139411#Comment_1139411
Totally agree, the screen blur sucks. And you make a good point on the pin add on... but you still have to run an add on.
Technically it frees up a perk slot. Combined with one of the dirty knives it can stall them quite a bit.
And there are quite a few perk combos that still make STBFL still viable. I combined it with Play With Your Food, Nemesis, and Rancor to make a pinball build. They drop a pallet on you? Take off, get a speed buff, and immediately apply pressure to their teammates.
-
Defaced Smiley Pin already applies mangled. So sloppy butcher is redundant when using their power.
Edit: Stbfl was stacking too quickly and is very effective on M1 killers. That's why the interaction was removed. You can get a survivor from healthy to downed in only a few seconds with full stacks. Also it was either still stacking or not resetting on Obsession hits iirc which was completely broken.
My main issue is the screen blur. You're given all this info while FF is up, then it immediately disappears when it's over. Scratch marks, blood, the survivor....all gone.
-
It covers your scratch marks to help you move away from a location easier. It doesn't just block aura.
Also Sole Survivor already exists as an always on aura blocker.

The chances of getting better items in the bloodweb is complete garbage I'm looking for perks like BBQ and even at level 40 I'm still getting stuff like monstrous shrine and bad addons
Just grab every single perk? There's zero reason not to after P3'ing a character. Perks are alphabetized as well so if you can remember the first letter of a perk, you can still find it easily.
-
Uhh I dunno. Powerman 5000 Worlds Collide.
