  • At around midnight eastern time survivor incentive drops to 25% and around 1 a.m killers start to get incentives. It is back to 100% survivor by the time the sun comes up.

  • What is it you exactly run when you hear this? your perks, character, cosmetics, etc. Maybe record a game and use a map offering you often hear this on, clip the part of the vid you hear it on. Might be easier to figure out if you have a source you can refer to.

  • Do this with a group of friends. 3 of you run this exact build (maybe replace one of the perks for For The People?) The 4th one run perks that increases the chance of being the obsession. You are now playing DBD's version of a V.I.P mode.

  • As much as I hate when people suicide or DC for petty reasons...I'd rather this over the alternative. Anyone who wants out of a match as quickly as possible will find a way to do it. If they can't get themselves killed...they will get you killed. They will make everyone feel as miserable as they do in that game.

Not only that....there is currently a cheating problem in DBD. What if someone gets into a game and a hacker is holding everyone hostage. Sure, you could DC..but that is a penalty. Some people get targeted by them and will have to deal with being held hostage multiple times in a row. A DC isn't viable here. Killer players are pretty much stuck in this situation, but at the very least survivors can suicide on hook as a safe way out of the match with no penalty because someone else held them hostage.

There is also the situations with 2 survivors left, killer dominated and now has the first guy on hook and is looking for the last remaining one or is camping. The person on hook suicides so that the last one can possibly get hatch or isn't lured into a trap by the camping killer... Is that player supposed to now eat a 5 minute or more ban for trying to ensure the other player can get out?

They'll need to change this trophy if you can only mori 1 survivor per match.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/88X5J3D252QZ/20220922-121340-jpg.jpg

This Reminds me....what about the Tome Challenges. In Tome 1 - Level 4 the challenge "Six Feet Under" requires you to sacrifice (not mori) all 4 survivors in the basement in one game. Challenges like this will be impossible to complete with these update changes.

  • I'll agree to that. If it goes live as is, just delete the offerings. The proposed change to them kinda feels (to me) like a slap to the face.

  • This change will make one of the most fun things about the game (the mori) into one of the most boring.

  • Can we just cut out the middleman and make all the perks basekit?

  • R.I.P my favorite build. I loved using Devour Hope as part of my Hex: Roulette build. Undying, Haunted Grounds, Retribution and Devour Hope. The Danger of the mori incentivized looking for it...but finding any of the others instead was not a good thing. I always played with the rule, "If all hexes are gone, I can no longer kill the survivors." It was always so fun and a great takeaway from meta builds. No other perk can replace what Devour Hope brought to it, and no...the new effect doesn't work for it. Sacrificing a survivor on hook does not give that fear that the Mori does. Survivors, for the most part, don't really care about being sacrificed on hook. But when it comes to the mori...they will go out of their way to insure it Does Not Happen. That little tug of war for the mori is what makes it fun. Plus, it's not like getting the 5 tokens with Devour Hope is easy. And you definitely won't get them with camping either.

Calling the new Devour hope the same thing as the old one is like....taking away someone's bacon and giving them a slice of deli ham and saying, "it's the same thing! Enjoy!"

  • 1: Blight. So sick of blight every second or 3rd game.

2: Nurse. Almost as freaguent as Blight...but the games are over fast so I don't actually care.

3: Wesker. I am so glad to see him so frequently. He is the new toy everyone got so I understand why he is used so often. I'd rather face him that often rather than Nurse or Blight. Like...do you really miss Nurse and Blight every game THAT much?

4: Huntress. 90% of them camp as soon as possible. If that doesn't work they start tunneling. So...yea...sick of her even though she is one of my favorites.

5: Nemesis. I am fine with him and his zombies. It is quite fun when they don't tunnel.

6: Leatherface. only about 10% to 15% actually camp or tunnel in my games. Most of them play normally and can be quite frightening and intimidating. Quite enjoyable to face really. And scary, which is refreshing. If you are one of these Bubbas.....Thank You.

Just barely missing out in the top 6 are Pyramid Head and Legion.

  • IMO, Tombstone Piece should only allow you to mori someone who has been stalked to the red while he is Tier 3. Maybe add in an effect like, once the mori is used you can no longer get to tier 3 that game. Or possibly make it an obsession based perk and only the obsession can be mori'd.

I dunno. The mori aspect of it is fine...it just needs a good negative effect and/or limitation to using it considering how strong it can be.

Did you get out that game? I'm honestly curious. BHVR seems to love making "Kill me, please!" survivor challenges 🙂

I did not. I did, however, waste quite a bit of his time. I also wasted quite a bit of the pallets trying to get that last stun knowing my next hook was a death hook. I think the last person got hatch, but I can't really remember. I think I was the 3rd death.

  • Twins + Huntress. Yeet Victor at the survivors. He dies on impact if you miss. I can just hear is screech fade off into the distance.

  • @Aneurysm said:

    Cannibal holocaust or human centipede

Why did you have to remind me of that? lol. I WAS going to say none, as I would never want to deny someone their dream chapter no matter how much I hated it. But...yea.....I'm gonna go with Human Centipede. The image of that thing chasing you would be both hilarious and horrifying at the same time, lol.

  • It was just my luck that, as soon as I stop getting killers that only camp, I get back to back killers using the perk that blocks pallets after a hit. Finally got it against a Wraith running that very perk on Lery's. I ran Head on, Blast Mine, Decisive Strike, and Windows of Opportunity and Wound up using all 4 perks for the stuns. Got the first stun with Blast Mine, then did the Decisive Strike + Head On combo. This apparently made him very aggressive and he didn't respect pallets from that point on which helped as I went from pallet to pallet trying to, and eventually, stunning him for the 4.

I never want to do this challenge again.

  • I hate this challenge. I must have the worst luck as...ever since I put this challenge on I got nothing but camping killers who refuse to chase me. I am now not even able to get 1, let alone 4. Whoever came up with this.....

  • As someone who would love for most killers to get some buffs...this is too much. While they have added pallet breaks to basekit for other killers...(Demo, for example)...on Wesker it'd be way to strong. Only top tier SWF's would possibly have the tools to counter it. (But that part is just my opinion.) At most, vaulting and breaking the pallet would have to be an add-on AND would need a significant negative effect to balance it out, no idea what that would be.

  • The only use Hexes have atm are to force survivors to look for them and not do gens. In which case...it is just better to bring actual gen defense.

  • Personally, I'd like it if a diminished version of Scratched Mirror was basekit, but you'd need the add-on to lock you to Tier 1 and bring it up to what it currently does.

The only add-on that really needs a nerf is Tombstone Piece. The iridescent add-ons are fine as is with how long it can take to level up to tier 3. He is one of the very few killers that still instills fear into players at the start of the match. Myers is still as strong as he ever was...it is just that a whole lot has come into the game since then and he just needs some minor buffs to his basekit to be able to compete with higher tier survivors.

On a side note, I love how he can outright ignore and defy The Entity and mori survivors without an offering. I really want that to remain as part of him, no matter what changes might or might not come.

  • Camper:

1:Huntress. 90% of huntresses camp at 5 gens in my games.

2:Myers with Speed stalk add-ons. I dunno wghy, but every Myers that doubles up on speed stalking camps

3:Hag. Mostly proxy camping though with the use of traps.

Strangely enough, I rarely ever see a camping bubba. They mostly play normal with the exception of the very few doing the basement meme.

    Tunneller:

1:Wraith. By far the sweatiest tunneller you will ever see. I swear, every Wraith plays like they are training for MLG or something.

2:Huntress. If she can't camp due to survivors knowing how to beat it (or she is just bad at it) she will divert to tunneling...every single time.

3:Blight: Every single one I encounter.....if you get unhooked....RUN. He is already on his way back.

  • These are some of my favorites.

    Directory Assistance:

Empathic Connection, Situational Awareness, Wake Up, Kindred

Basically, you use any 4 perks that give information to your teammates. Doesn't have to be these 4, but I prefer them for this.

    Survivor Watch:

    Bond, Empathy, Open Handed, Kindred

Use any 4 perks that shows you the location and/or actions of other survivors.

    Selfish Care:

Self Care, Botany Knowledge, Desperate Measures, Bite The Bullet.

    Self Explanatory.

    Troll:

Deception, Diversion, Red Hearing, Repressed Alliance.

Use these perks to mess with the killer or another survivor. Lure the killer to the target area with the first 3 perks. Use Repressed Alliance to block a gen that is nearly done. Be prepared to receive hate from your team if you use it on them. Suggest to use this on your friends when you all are just messing around or not taking the game seriously.

    All Seeing Survivor:

Visionary, Bond, Windows Of Opportunity, Open-Handed

Know where everything and everyone is within a radius around you.

    Graceful Charity:

    Reactive Healing, Resurgence, Solidarity, Autodidact.

Quickly heal yourself by healing others.

    On the Killer Side:

    Bounty Hunter:

Nemesis, Furtive Chase, Rancor, 1 other obsession perk of your choice.

You can only attack, hook, or kill the current Obsession. Anyone intentionally in the way is fair game, guilty by association.

    Amanda's Rigged Game:

Killer: The Pig - Rule Set No.2, Face Mask

Hex perks: Haunted Grounds, Retribution, Undying, Devour Hope.

This one is a bit of roleplaying. Jigsaw set the game and Amanda rigged it in her favor. If all hexes are destroyed and all traps removed, cease all hostilities, the survivors have won Jigsaw's game.

  • Do you look at what perks they brought after the match is done? They could just be chosing to not waste time with COH vs Nurse and opt to do gens as quickly as possible.

  • Depends on the match. If the survivors didn't act toxic and/or the match was fun, I may let one (or more) go. Typically I will only kill 2 unless I am able to hook everyone twice...which is harder to do than simply killing them.

  • It'll be something completely unrelated and wasn't touched yet, somehow still breaks. Like, Trapper's traps don't spawn. Some pallets are invisible or cannot be interacted with. Some breakable doors don't spawn in. Custom loadouts only use the first loadout and the others don't register as being used at all. Something like these.

  • Leatherface and Huntress - The king and queen of camping.

Pig and Trapper - Place traps infront of pig boxes, plus certain trapper add-ons would make it difficult to remove traps.

Pyramid Head and Wesker - Would require good teamwork and skill, but Wesker could simply throw survivors onto Pyramid Head's trails and keep everyone tormented, meaning no need to worry about hooks.

Myers and Ghost Face - Specifically with Scratched Mirror and a map like Lery's. The Dynamic Duo of Heart Attacks.

Nurse and Clown - Nurse slugging and Clown runs cleanup using yellow bottles with Agitaition and Iron Grasp to quickly hook everyone who gets slugged.

Plague and Nemesis - Keeping everyone sick and broken would mean Nemesis would only need two hits with the tenticle to down instead of 3. Plus the vomiting would attract the zombies to survivors easier.

Blight and Hillbilly - Gotta Go Fast!

Artist and Dredge - Artist's crows can easily find survivors in or near lockers and Dredge can quickly go after them.

Freddy and Sadako - Both can easily teleport to Gens with gen regression perks and they have the potential to slow the game to a crawl.

Pinhead and Wraith - Don't have a reason, just think they'd go well together for some reason.

  • If a 2nd Silent Hill Chapter were to happen...(Plz, for the love of The Entity...make it so...) I'd like to see Harry Mason and Maria as the Survivors with Angela Orosco and Henry Townsend as Legendary skins. Possibly with Eileen Galvin and Eddie Dombrowski as Legendary skins released much later. (Or save them for a possible 3rd chapter.)

For the killer, The Mercenary comes to mind almost immediately. Another Choice is Walter Sullivan...but I never really liked him. There is also the Incubus from Silent Hill 1 with a potential Legendary/Very Rare Skin for the Incubator.

There are many locations that can work for a map. The Mall from Silent Hill 3 is the main one I want. I'd also be ok with the city streets of Silent Hill, but with 2 different versions. 1 being the fog filled streets, the other being the nightmare version, metal grating floor and all. Though it is far less likely to ever happen.

Now...my 3rd choice for a map would be Nowhere. Considering what Nowhere actually is...lore wise, The Entity would have a lot of trouble understanding and recreating it. So much so that, technically, the devs could put it together as they wish as there is no way The Entity could get it right. This could lead to them being able to construct an interesting and balanced map based on Silent Hill Lore and consist of many favorite areas of the games. Mostly, I am just interested and curious in seeing how The Entity interprets the area. But....that one will only ever be a dream...and I can dream can't I?

  • @Cameragosha said:

Now DBD come back to survivor sided again.

Devs reverse MoM nerf but not reverse thanatophobia nerf.

    Old thana should return.

I never had a problem with survivors using MoM when I play killer as, to get it to work, you had to put yourself in harms way. Should you fail...well, the outcome is obvious. IMO, it should always be a High Risk High Reward perk.

For the idea of reverting Thana...what about making it so that its effect did not activate with Deep Wounds and/or the Broken Status? That'd keep it strong but limit its use on the two killers it was a problem on.

  • Removing the insta-kill aspect is not an option as that is kind of his thing. The fact that The Entity can't control him is particularly interesting, to me at least.

How I'd change things, as others have said, there should be no limit on how much someone can be stalked. Some ideas that were said I rather like and will use here. Once someone's stalk aura turns red you will be able to stalk at 50% efficiency only. Their Stalk Aura will regenerate over time, eventually back to full. The regeneration will pause for X amount of time if stalked again.

For Tombstone Piece, I'd mostly leave as is...except, You can only stalk the obsession. Once you mori someone you are dropped all the way back down to tier 1 and are locked there. You can get that early kill if you want...but you are handicapping yourself for the rest of the game. (Though I think I might prefer the only being able to mori someone with red aura idea instead)

Tuft of Hair is fine as is but, with the above changes, you would be unable to build your stalk off of anyone whose aura becomes red. Getting a mori or sacrifice by any means while in tier 3 using this add-on will drop you back down to 2. Additionally, survivors inside your terror radius will receive bonus bloodpoints to their survival category for every X amount of time they have not been hit while you are tier 3. (Either this or simply just lower his movement speed a bit in tier 3 while using this add-on.)

The rest are fine as is. Though I'd personally prefer it if Scratched Mirror was a lower rarity as that is the most fun Myers to face and play against...and I'd just like to see it used more.

  • Why should anyone have to lose their version of Freddy at all? Why can't we have both? Personally, I think Freddy's power should be customizable with the use of add-ons kinda like how, right now, one ability can be changed from the Dream Snares to the Dream Pallets. Why not give him more unique abilities that can change his power and how he is used.

For example, Freddy's power would be like it is now. Dream Snares and Dream Projection are what you have by default. But with an add-on you could change his Dream Snares into Dream Pallets or his old ability to pull people into the dream world. While the 2nd ability, the Dream Projection, would have 2 other choices to use instead as well. One of which could be to allow Freddy to enter or Exit the Dream World at will and function kinda like Wraith or Sadako's does. While in the Dream World, it would function like it originally did...only this time the player has the option of exiting the dream world himself.

The idea might need some refinement, but I believe no one has to lose THEIR Freddy at all when it could be possible that we can have both.

  • Myers, Ghost Face, and Pyramid Head.

Pyramid Head cause of Silent Hill. Ghost Face cause him scaring me just once turns me into a potato. And Myers cause...no matter how well you are doing...Myers is still so damn intimidating and scary to approach. (Also Mirror Myers is always good fun.)

  • In this situation, you are both being too stubborn to end it. You KNOW he wants the achievement and went out of your way to deny it when you have already lost the game. He refuses to just hook you cause he (most likely) wants to be done with the achievement and finally go back to playing normally. Neither of you wants to back down and give the other the satisfaction of the end they want. The game, in this situation, is not being held hostage. You are both now in a self made stalemate that you have BOTH created. In order for the game to be held hostage, one side must be prevented from being able to make progress or ending the game. Progress is no longer possible as you have essentially been caught and the game is now over. However, you both have a way of ending it and are both refusing to do so while trying to get a specific ending that other doesn't want. You can end it by just getting out of the locker and accept the mori or try and avoid it....and Myers can end it by just hooking you or try and carry you far away from any locker and pray he can catch you quickly. The situation is a stalemate, it is not being held hostage. In order to be held hostage, the killer would have to do something like trap you in a corner and never let you out. You aren't being held in the locker, you are there of your own volition and can leave at any point. The game has now changed to which of you will stop being petty and break first. All in all, you are both being jerkish and recreated the old Hatch standoff that you both could put an end to at any point. (Thankfully that is long gone.)

  • I don;t have a set build for him yet as I am still trying to find one I like. I have been gravitating to the perks "I'm All Ears, Fearmonger, and any perks that remove or lessen the terror radius. Have yet to find something that clicks for me. Though, A meme build I have been having A LOT of fun with is NOED, Undying, Blood Warden, and Agitation Then....I defend the Undying perk with my life, never going too far from it. It is actually quiet entertaining when the survivors figure out what you are doing and try to hatch a plan to break the totem. Had one team on Haddonfield almost succeed. A Steve kept distracting me while an Adam and a Tapp tried to sneak by and break it. The Claudette was the designated Gen Jockey. Steve managed to distract me by intentionally getting himself caged. I turned just quick enough to see Tapp sneaking up to the totem and chased him behind the building it was against. Came back to check the totem and accidentally walked into Adam Hiding in the bush right next to it. He would have gotten it had I not done that. Fun game.

For a more Silent Hill content, I'd love to get a new Chapter with Harry and Maria as survivors with Henry and Angela as Legendary skins. For the killer, Either The Missionary from SH3 or the Incubus/Incubator form Silent Hill 1. The Map, one of 3 possible locations. one being the fog filled streets of Silent Hill (with an other world variant along with it.) Another being the Mall from Silent Hill 3. The 3rd being NOWHERE from Silent Hill 1. (I would personally love to see how The Entity tries, and fails, to comprehend the location as it is an amalgamation of various other areas throughout Silent Hill.) Now that I think about it, would the Apartments or Hotel from SH2 work for a map?

Overall, yea...I'd love my content from Silent Hill. Especially since it is my 2nd favorite game series.

  • I personally like the trailers and how well they are done. Their ability to build up so much hype for a chapter is also one of my favorite things they do.

  • Blight, easily. I get him every second or third game. I am sick of facing him already.

Also Huntress. I get her almost as much as Blight. Not that I hate her or anything...it is just that, for me at least, Huntress players seem to camp and tunnel far more than Leatherface gets blamed for.

  • @Rudjohns said:

I love Silent Hill but unfortunately, the series only has Pyramid Head as a famous antagonist. I can't think of any other villain or monster that could fit well in DBD. Valtiel is not memorable enough to be a standalone killer. Walter is the same (not counting the fact that he is a human and his "power" is a gun?) They would only find something worth it if they use the Bogeyman (Downpour) or the Butcher (Origins), and quite frankly none of those are good choices for DBD, because, well, nobody knows/care about them.

While Pyramid Head is the most famous, he isn't the only killer they can use from the series. There is The Missionary from Silent Hill 3 (which I think would be a good choice.) There is also the end boss from the first game named Incubus. Not as iconic, but recognizable to fans of the series.

That being said, I am all for a part 2 for a Silent Hill DLC. Especially if Angela (from SH2) is included as at least a Legendary skin, as I'd main her day one. Plus countless locations that can be used for maps. I'd personally love to see the nightmare version of a Silent Hill outdoor area as a map, the mall from Silent Hill 3, or even see how The Entity tries (and fails) to understand and recreate Nowhere.

  • I had one game against Nemesis so far. It was on the newest map, and the male zombie seemed to be constantly patrolling one set of gens on one side of the map. He patrolled around killer shack to where the train was stuck in the ground (a gen was right next to it) and off to the side of the house. I never saw the female one ever go there. In fact, I hadn't seen her till the game was basically over. Every time I tried to do any of the gens on the one side, the male zombie comes out of nowhere and forces me, or the others off. We would have gotten the gens done fairly quickly if it weren't for him and the ruin we never found. No idea what the female zombie was doing. But I did wind up getting cornered by both of them and nemesis at the end.

I swear those zombies are stealth killers all on their own.

  • I had just one person use it against me. It is they sole reason the escaped and got hatch. I, however, have failed to use it correctly at all, lol.

  • Blackfield Asylum from Twisted Metal Black. It doesn't have much of a canon interior so the devs could...maybe...have some creative freedom when it comes to the design and balance. Either that or the Silent Hill 3 Mall or the outer areas of Silent Hill, preferably the nightmare variant from the first game.

  • I like having map offerings, but they need to be rebalanced. As an example (that I just thought up right now...) The Current map offerings should become killer Specific...maybe increase their rarity to purple? For survivors...bring back the common map offerings and make those exclusive to survivors. You have a small chance of getting the map you want, meaning the killer's offering should win out most of the time...but if all 4 survivors run the same map offering then it would equal the same chance as the killer's making it a 50/50 chance. Also, I agree...make Sacrificial Ward a yellow offering. Maybe remove the negative of four survivor offerings cancelling it as well. The only time you would ever really run it as killer is if you think you are facing a 4-man team, the negative makes it not even worth that. (Does anyone use this offering? Honestly curious.)

  • @Marigoria said:

I see more huntresses tunneling and camping than bubbas.

I am glad that I am not the only one who noticed this. And, it might just be my personal experience only...but I rarely see Bubbas camp despite, apparently, being the poster boy for camping.

  • As someone who actively played both sides, I loved Hawkins. It was my favorite map overall. A game on Hawkins could go either way at any point no matter how well you were doing, so getting overconfident could make you lose on this map more than any other. Also, it is one of the only maps where mindlessly gen-rushing or insta-throwing pallets was NOT going to help you win faster. You were forced to play smarter. For example, if you leave the upstairs gen and portal room gen for last...it will be very difficult for the killer to stop the last gen from finishing. If either of these gens are done before there is 1 gen left, then the survivors lose their late game advantage.

    New killer: Twitch Chat.

ngl, I'd actually find that fun. Probably the only way "The Smasher" could have probably ever worked and not be broken. lol.

According to Heather's in game lore though he's dead, so idk how that would work lore-wise. But I would love to see Harry in the game.

Time and space mean nothing to the Entity. The Entity can choose not only when and where it takes someone from...but also which universe or timeline. So the Entity could very well take Harry from the point in time when he was searching for Cheryl in Silent Hill 1. Personally though....I kinda want the to do a Silent Hill Chapter 2 dlc. Would be awesome to get a new set of Survivor(s), Map, and Killer.

  • Considering that I tried to be nice like suggested and Survivors went out of their way to be toxic so...yea...no. I'm not playing nice at all this event. I have been getting back to back groups that are way better than me and make it a tremendous to get a single hook, let alone 8.

  • It is an Xbox issue itself. Some games work, others don't. Feels random as to which do work and which don't, to be honest.

  • He is a really fun killer to use, but experienced 4-man teams can easily counter him. The better killer players could use his abilities in creative ways to push back against these teams...but it is much easier and less frustrating to use other, better, killers when it comes to high MMR games. He is very fun when going up against equally skilled players...but is boring or frustrating to use against superior or inferior survivors. That is my take on it...at least for now anyway. Still trying to learn him, lol.

  • On Xbox One, same issue. The Xbox status page on the website shows there is an issue with Games with Gold, launching a cloud game, and starting digital/downloaded games at the moment.
